i’d kind of like to bring back this theory i made back in june/july. (i’ve been thinking about it more to fuel my crackship delusions let me have this)

the thing is, it’s obviously an intentional design choice. you don’t accidentally make the serpent constellation on the face of a slytherin descended from THE slytherin.

although perhaps i no longer think he was ‘supposed’ to open the chamber of secrets, it has to mean something. every other freckle and mole pattern that appears on NPCs you can put on MC, except his. so it has to be special, right?

if it is though, how come madame snelling also has it? she’s the only other NPC i can find that has it. perhaps since she often alters her appearance she saw his and wanted to have them as well? although, hers is missing a few.

perhaps there’s something in the game files? we know an entire questline was cut involving gaunt manor- maybe (if it’s included in the summer features), that’s where we’ll get answers?

i understand maybe it was just an aesthetic choice, and an easter egg for people that know their constellations, but seeing the level of other detail in this game i simply have a hard time believing that. WAS he supposed to be the one that opens the chamber? or is there even more lore to salazar slytherin and his moles have some other meaning?
