Mentioning Tusk Love and the potential of other independent stories set in Exandria reminded me of an old discord conversation about how they could Fix the courting of the crick for publishing (seeing as it's canonically a Bad Book due to being super dry and also racist towards drow) without breaking canon:

Rename it 'The Courting of the Kryn - a Reimagining of the Classic Story, by Jester Lavorre'

Present it as an in-universe fanfic-ish rewrite. There's a foreword where 'Jester' elaborates on the inaccuracies of the original, the impact the story had on her, and the importance of Dynasty-Empire relations. There's an acknowledgement section where she thanks Caleb and Beau as 'consultants on Empire culture', as well as an unnamed/under fake name/clearly Essek as an 'expert on the Luxon, dunamancy and Dynasty culture'. All his information on spy networks is eerily accurate and has his former co-workers scrambling. (He makes her keep all the dry historical accounts, but now it's accurate (with added dick-related puns)). She mentions that she reached out to the Bright Queen who reluctantly (after 5 messages in a row) gave some pointers. In her frantic research she possibly made some breakthroughs on the nature on the Luxon that has Essek reeling (there's a 'further reading' section where she lists the academic paper he wrote building on her discoveries and an entire list of the sources her consultants used).

For extra fun and meta-ness, include footnotes where she comments on things she changed/removed from the original and why, how various scenes may have been inspired by a real life couple or events, etc. Some of the footnotes are written by her consultants. Caleb and Essek get into arguments on dunamancy theory which is actually thinly veiled flirting. There's anatomically accurate drow sex (it's unclear whether the consultant was Essek or Caleb or possibly a certain brother, who was also consulted on Dynasty military practices).

Ok, ok, I came up with a stupid Gravity Falls x Arcane crossover idea. So imagine after Jinx dies she goes to Theraprism. Imagine, one second you're blown to pieces and the next you're in a mental hospital somewhere in space with a bunch of weird creatures. And yk, after a couple of hundred years she's actually progressing (unlike a certain triangle) and the Axolotl thinks that Jinx also needs to see and experience what an ACTUAL healthy family looks like. And who better than the Pines family itself? They have experienced much weirder things anyway. So they sent Jinx to Gravity Falls and she works at the Mystery Shack, maybe stacking up selves and replacing Wendy behind the counter when she goes on a break. It'd be funnier if they sent her over ALONG with Bill, but for him it'd be more like as a last resort.

Mama I’m in love with a dude in my gym

After the fire truck accident and multiple let downs by his body, Maddie has to fight tooth and nail to get Buck go to physiotherapy.

She tries and tries to find one who Buck likes enough to stick to it. He knows Buck needs someone he can feel comfortable with. (She’s heard some murmurings about a therapist and it going horribly wrong, but she has not asked around too much and like Buck is clearly depressed about his current situation so it hasn’t been easy.) Then Maddie finds a miracle, Eddie, who himself is a former firefighter and someone who understands the demands of the job and Buck can relate to.

It’s not much but Buck promises to meet with Eddie and Maddie feels hopeful for the first time in weeks.

Buck isn’t really sure why Maddie thinks that this physiotherapist is going to be any different than the other ones. But he doesn’t want to disappoint Maddia so he packs himself to go to the gym, limps through the foyer and is greeted with a gym full of people. The only thing missing is his elusive trainer and the locker room. He feels stupid just standing there, balancing with his bag and his cane trying to find a place where he can change and get ready.

He almost gives up until he sees another gym goer go through a door with bags and he limps after this person figuring out that that is where the locker rooms must be.

He balances his stuff on his arm and reaches for the door, only to find it stuck. He pushes and pushes and when it finally budges he realizes he made a horrible mistake. The heavy door yanks all of his mass and frame after it and with his bad leg his balance is compromised so he falls after it, hits his head on the door and accidentally puts his weight on his bad leg. Tears spring into his eyes from the pain and when he lifts his gaze the view in front of him makes him sweat.

The door opened into a gym, another gym, a martial arts gym, currently full of people smacking, pummeling and kicking each other. Buck also realizes that he has gotten the attention of a pair of very nice amused and little concerned blue eyes with his fumbling.

Buck blushes, mumbles, and limps away from the door, towards another one with big bold lettering “Locker room - Men” reading on it. He feels the eyes following him on the back of his neck. The humiliation is almost too much to bear, he didn’t want to come here in the first place and now his leg hurts more than it did when Buck left home. He promised Maddie he would try, but he’s never coming back here. He feels pathetic, he made an bumbling ass out of himself in front of everyone, as per usual.

After his session with Eddie Buck has to reluctantly admit that he might have to come back. Eddie didn’t coddle him or pity him and he made Buck do the work. But. But Buck might have to, the humiliation still fresh in his mind, ask Eddie if he would be okay on going to a gym nearer Buck’s apartment for their sessions.

But. But then he sees Eddie talking to that sweaty, gorgeous eyes (and ass) having beast of a man Buck humiliated himself in front of about a training session. And the man turns, looks at Buck, smiles and suddenly coming back to this gym doesn’t sound like such a bad idea. And his knee feels wobbly, the good knee.

Kabru drives like an old lady because he learned from an old lady (Milsiril) and also he has Anxiety and also elves drive like shit this is a common well-known fact in dunmeshi modern au land. They didn't like horses and they don't like cars and if it was up to them everyone would just teleport like the gods CLEARLY intended. And its one thing Kabru has retained from his elven education.

His car is also an old shitty tiny matchbox, likely an hand-me-down from a dead member of the canaries. Its also FILTHY. Kabru has literally pretended to not have a car rather than taking people on it just so he wouldn't have to clean it.

Anyway do yall remember that video of that guy that starts all filled with road rage and makes a character for this driver who like was driving too slow I think? And then by the time he got to the end of the tirade he was like wait I like this guy (the character he made up) I don't want to be angry at this guy. That's 99% of what driving with Kabru is. He will start to go into road rage mode but by the end he will have weaved a complex narrative for this random dude who cut him off and he will end up being like sympathetic with him. It's fascinating. It's the only thing that makes travelling in his shitty ass filthy car in which the a/c smells like cat pee worth it.
