Witchy Knowledge with Waya!
🍽Kitchen Witch Tips🍽
~As with all posts, this is my take, my opinion, my knowledge. If you make your magick in a different way, great! Don't hate on other ways of the Craft. As I say again and again, there's no wrong way to witchcraft.~ (this does not pertain to cultural appropriation, bigotry, homophobia, racism, etc. if your practice includes these things, go ahead and unfollow me.)
🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽
Kitchen Witchery Tips for the amazing kitchen witches out there! I personally follow these and love bringing my cooking and craft together:)
🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽
- Making foods of love is a real thing. if you are unhappy, angry, sad, or feeling any other negative emotion while you cook, the food may not taste right. It could come out sour or bitter or unpleasant because it can be influenced by your emotions. Make sure you keep yourself and your kitchen clean, clear, and cleansed while you cook so that all of your food will taste great and be made with love
- Keeping an aloe plant in your kitchen will bring good luck. It’s also a quick remedy for minor burns.
- Stir things clockwise (deosil) to bring things like luck and love. Stir things anti-clockwise (widdershins) to banish things like negativity and sadness.
- Give and share when you can spare. Make loving, tasty gifts for your friends and family!
- Try to be waste free. Use glass receptacles, compost, recycle, etc. waste not, want not.
- Growing your own food is an extremely powerful way to add a little magick to your dishes. Eg: Homegrown tomatoes, that you’ve cared for and picked yourself, are better and more magickally powerful than store bought tomatoes. Obviously, if growing your own foods isn’t possible for you, store bought is absolutely fine!
- Place rose quartz in the kitchen to bring love into the space
- Place labradorite in the kitchen to bring creativity into the space
- Soak fresh produce in salted water before using it, not only to cleanse it, but you may be surprised at the amount of dirt and even small insects that can come out of your produce!
- Wash apples and other fruits in hot water before eating them. Many produce suppliers coat their fruits in a thin layer of wax. This keeps the fruit looking fresh, shiny, and more tempting.
- Save, dry, and grind up your eggshells! The powder can be used in many magickal endeavors, and is great for plants:)
🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽
That’s all for now! If you think of any you’d like to share, comment it! Stay cooking and stay witchy!
Blessed Be! 💕💕

Witchy Knowledge with Waya!
☀️Sun & Moon Water🌕
~As with all posts, this is my take, my opinion, my knowledge. If you make your magick in a different way, great! Don't hate on other ways of the Craft. As I say again and again, there's no wrong way to witchcraft.~
☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕
Sun and Moon water can both be used in many different spells and all sorts of magick. These blessed waters are related to the sun and moon, respectively. They are some of the easiest to make, and most popular types of blessed water!
☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕
Sun Water
Usually made with water from the tap, well water, water from lakes and puddles, etc., but any kind of water can be used
Sun water can be used to/for:
spells for happiness/banishing negativity/banishing depression
Spells for wakefulness
Spells for health and healing
Watering sick plants or plants that don’t get enough sunlight
Spells, potions, and rites for energy
Spells for attracting prosperity
I like to wash my hair with sun water infused with lavender because it makes me feel happy :)
How I make Sun Water
I use a clear glass jar, usually a mason jar
I set the water in my window to catch the sunlight from sunrise to sunset, removing the jar when it gets dark
Sometimes I put a citrine stone on top of/around the jar for an extra sunshine-kick
Then I use it in whatever way I please!
☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
Moon Water
Usually made with water from the tap, well water, clear stream water, or rain water, but can be made with any water you choose
Moon water can be used to/for:
Spells for peace, calm, and tranquility
Spells for purification
Spells and potions for sleep and chasing away nightmares
Spells for cleansing
Spells and rites for prophecy and divination
Can be used as water for tea to enhance the magick of the tea
Spells for attracting good fortune
I like to dab moon water on my wrists and behind my ears when I’m nervous to calm me and make me feel less insecure
How I make Moon Water
I use a clear glass jar, usually a mason jar
I set the jar in my window or on my back porch from nightfall until dawn to catch the rays of the moon, removing the jar before sunrise
Sometimes I put moonstone and silver on/around the jar to give it an extra moonlight magick kick
I personally like to be aware of what phase the moon is in when I make moon water, and make many batches which I use for different things (e.g., waning moon water for banishing, full moon water for divination and prophecy, etc.)
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕
And that’s my take on sun and moon water! Have a great day, witches! Blessed Be! 💕

Witchy Knowledge with Waya!
🎨Auras🎨
~As with all posts, this is my take, my opinion, my knowledge. If you make your magick in a different way, great! Don't hate on other ways of the Craft. As I say again and again, there's no wrong way to witchcraft.~
I saw the most beautiful aura today, and it reminded me to write about them! Auras are like colorful halos around a living thing. It's like an energy trail, helpful for deciphering someone/somethings true state of mind/being. An aura can be used to help sick animals, plants, and people.
I've found that for a beginning reader, it's easier to read a plant than an animal or human, since they're less energetic and don't move around/exude energy the way animals/humans do. If you don't want to start with a plant, start with your own hand or a sleeping animal.
To read as a beginner, try concentrating on something, and then let your eyes unfocus, and relax your vision. Let the aura show itself to you. Don't force it, and don't worry if you don't get it first try. Magick takes practice.
Every color means something different, and it's interesting to see how colors can clash and mix when one feels multiple emotions.
No one is devoid of an aura, although there are some who are adept at hiding their emotions, even from magickal means, and may not seem to have one.
Auras are great "lie detectors". If someone is happy and energetic on the outside, but their aura is black or beige or brown, etc., then they're hiding their true emotions.
Aura reading can be used on plants and animals in much the same way. For an example, if a plant looks healthy, and it's aura is mostly, say, green, but there's a spot where it's black, the leaf/part of the plant that the black surrounds is probably ill, and may need to be pruned.
🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨
BASIC AURA COLOR MEANINGS
⚫Black: negative, very ill, tied down, anxious
⚪White: enlightened, pure, happy, peaceful, safe
➖Grey: neutral, waiting, passive, bored
♾Silver: energetic, stable, intuitive, empathetic
👑Gold: confident, secure, creative, powerful
🏺Copper/Bronze: in love, passionate, successful
❤ Red: passionate, sexual, assertive, independent, healthy
❌Dark Red: angry, hurt, warlike, agressive
🍠Magenta: magnetic, attractive, lighthearted
💛Yellow: energetic, happy, mentally clear, yearning
🧡Orange: lucky, encouraged, stimulated, kind
💕Pink: tender, romantic, maternal, graceful, full of self love, friendly
💚Green: natural, rejuvenated, balanced, at ease
🌲Dark Green: envious, fearful, internally upset
🧵Turquoise: intellectual, intuitive, gentle, curious
💙Blue: truthful, wise, tranquil, understanding, patient
💜Violet: spiritual, divine, powerful, inspired
🎆Lavender: sweet, at ease, free, calm, sleepy
🌀Indigo: calm, deep in thought, devoted
🍂Brown: Stable, grounded, protected
🥥Dark Brown: confused, muddled, upset, unbalanced
🥟Beige: bored, uncaring
🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨
Auras can always be a mix of colors. Mine as I write this is indigo with a bit of yellow and purple.
Thanks for reading another long post! Much love!! Blessed Be! 💕

🩸blood magick🩸
~As with all posts, this is my take, my opinion, my knowledge. If you make your magick in a different way, great! Don't hate on other ways of the Craft. As I say again and again, there's no wrong way to witchcraft.~
🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸
I was asked earlier about my knowledge/stance on blood magick. Well, here it is :) tell me your own experiences and views!
🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸
Again, this is my personal view and experience. I believe that blood magick is extremely powerful. In my craft, I personally don’t use it much unless a special circumstance arises.
Blood is a life giving substance. Many believe that the sacrifice of blood calls powerful deities like gods, guides, and demons.
Human blood is said to be most powerful, but animal blood is powerful and can be used as well. The blood of certain animals has certain connotations, in some religions, some say that rabbit’s blood represents innocence more than, say, snake’s blood.
Many believe the creature that the blood comes from must be completely sacrificed, while others believe a few drops of blood will suffice.
On the occasions that I use blood magick, I use many protection rituals before I begin to let any blood run. I only use my own blood, and therefore I want to be protected from any sort of backlash.
I take ritual bloodletting very seriously. I use blood magick only for the harshest curses and most powerful rituals to call spirits, or when I need an extremely important offering.
🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸
And that’s basically my experience with it! I know that many magicks use blood often, and if that’s you’re way of doing it, that’s great! And if you don’t ever use blood, also great! Everyone has their own witchy way, and no one reserves the right to tell you what you can and can’t do (unless you’re practicing cultural appropriation or taking from closed practices without full understanding of the sacredness of that practice to the practitioners of it).
Blessed Be! 💕

🍵Potions🍵
~As with all posts, this is my take, my opinion, my knowledge. If you make your magick in a different way, great! Don't hate on other ways of the Craft. As I say again and again, there's no wrong way to witchcraft.~
Potions are an important area of my Craft. They're amazing for all types of Healing, and can be used negativity in curses, too, if you're into that.
All of my potions have 8 parts. A base, a part for each of the 5 senses, a part for the mind, and a part for the spirit.
The parts can be edible, or they can be inedible but strained before drinking. Most potions are heated/boiled, because the heat breaks down the individual components and mixes the potion more thoroughly.
Some potions are stirred deasil, and some widdershins, or stirred a specific number of times. Make sure to follow potion recipes exactly, and test the effects before drinking the whole thing, ESPECIALLY when making your own/experimenting.
An easy test is to swish a little of the potion in your mouth and then spit it out. Wait 30 minutes to 1 hour. If nothing happens, or if the desired effect happens on a small scale, the potion is likely safe.
There are also certain types of potions that aren't meant to be drunk, like poultices and ointments (to test these you can do a patch test). Make sure to use the correct term when bottling or selling to avoid confusion.
Potion Types
🍵Infusion: prepared by soaking ingredients in liquid, usually water, until infused. Meant to be drunk.
🍵Decoction: an infusion, plus simmering a tougher substance (like tree bark, rocks, etc). To be strained and drunk.
🍵Tincture: medicine made by dissolving ingredients in alcohol. Use sparingly.
🍵Vinegar: a tincture, but with vinegar instead of alcohol. Add to food or drink in small amounts.
🍵Syrup: ingredients preserved in a sugar solution. Take by mouth in small amounts.
🍵Poultice: a soft, moist mass of material (usually fresh) applied to the body with a cloth or sponge.
🍵Philtre: water based with light, delicate ingredients. To be drunk hot.
🍵Salve: oil or fat based. Very thick. To be applied externally.
🍵Elixir: alcohol base with 1 other ingredient. Very pure. To be drunk sparingly.
🍵Inhalant: a mist or smike to be breathed/inhaled.

💮Herb Tips💮
Here's some helpful tips for when you work with herbs!
💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮
A salve of powdered banana peel (organic is best), castor oil, beeswax and a little thyme helps get rid of warts
💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮
Use fresh rose petals for making rose water; it’s very useful!
-Wash pink candles with rose water and burn for love rites
-Add to a bath for self love or romantic love
-Helpful for healing skin (redness, bruising, itching, etc)
💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮
The elements have corresponding plants. Some include:
AIR: dill, pansies, frankincense, primrose, anise, clover, lemongrass, etc.
FIRE: hibiscus, peppers, coffee bean, cacti, allspice, cinnamon, thistle, etc.
WATER: ferns, lotus, water lily, algae/seaweed, aloe, apples, moss, willow, etc.
EARTH: Trees, grasses, mosses, anything!
💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮
If you collect plant seeds instead of buying them, remember these tips:
-Seeds should be collected when the plant is mature, “ripe”, or in full bloom.
-Dry them before planting if you intend to plant them later, rather than right away.
-Dry using natural sunlight
💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮
If you collect roots to use, remember these tips:
-Collect from a plant which has died to ensure your root won't rot or come back to life unless replanted.
-Separate thin and thick roots. Use the thin first, as they expire more quickly.
-Wash the roots thoroughly, pat dry with a towel, and let dry completely in full sunlight for at least 2 days before use to ensure moisture is gone (i.e. no mold later!)
💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮
If you collect bark:
-Collect in the fall or spring when the bark is alive, but still easy to peel.
-Wash the bark and dry it thoroughly in the sun
💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮
If you collect bulbs:
-Bulbs should be collected when the plant starts to wilt and die
-When brought out of the ground, the outer layer should be removed
-Wash the bulb GENTLY
-You can dry them naturally or put them in the oven (no heat over 100 degrees!) for about 30 minutes.
-Cold=dormant. If you want the bulbs alive for replanting, cover them in a damp paper towel, put them in an airtight container (bag, tupperware, etc.) and store in fridge.
💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮
If you collect flowers:
-Flowers should be in full bloom.
-Take only large flowers, leave the small ones to continue to grow
-Cut right below the head
-Dry by laying them out or hang drying in natural light
💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮
If you collect leaves:
-Make sure the plant is mature
-Take only what you need
-Take the undamaged leaves (no browning, insect holes, etc.)
-Wash the leaves gently in clean water
-Pat them dry GENTLY
-Spread out in natural light to dry completely or hang dry
-Shift the herbs often to keep them from clumping or accumulating moisture
💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮

👁Scrying👁
~As with all posts, this is my take, my opinion, my knowledge. If you make your magick in a different way, great! Don't hate on other ways of the Craft. As I say again and again, there's no wrong way to witchcraft.~
Scrying is extremely useful. It can be used to look into the future, or to look into the past, but most commonly, it's used to see things that are happening it the present in another location. For example, I live in Florida. My family lives in Indiana. I use scrying to check up on those that I love.
When one scrys, they can see and/or hear what's happening. Scrying is different for everyone and most beginners can only see/hear snippets of happenings. The adept can almost view events far from them like movies.
There are, of course, many different ways to scry, but the most popular ways are by using "Scrying Mirrors" (blacked out mirrors, I don't know much about them because I do not use them, so if anyone knows some stuff about them feel free to comment!), or using one or more of the four elements.
I use water to scry. Most people don't, because water is such a fickle element. There's a saying: "water is the witche's whore; when used, lies to most, and trusts few."
I can gladly say that I'm one of the few that water trusts.
To scry, I fill a small (usually a white ceramic or regular wooden) bowl with water (natural is best, I like to use rain, ocean, or river water), and add 3 drops of black ink. I stir the ink clockwise 3 times, focusing on what/whom I wish to view. Sometimes when I need a boost, I'll simply chant: "By yhe power of 3 by 3, water, reveal, let me see."
Other ways to scry:
🔥Fire: fickle and mistrustful. Renowned as an extremely difficult way to scry. You can look into the fire or use the smoke.
🌫Clouds: generally a very gentle and easy way to scry. Look into a cloudy sky and read the shapes and movements of the clouds. A good choice if you're just beginning to learn to scry.
🔮Crystal balls: very traditional. Can be difficult.
⚫Stones: usually flat and black. This is said to be an easy and most reliable method.
Thank you for reading another post!! Blessed be!

Hey I have a few question and it seems like you could may help me How do I clean a new pendulum? And How do I calibrat it? I would be really thankful if you could help me and if you can't it's all right too (I just want to research a little bit before I use 's pendulum) Thx for your time ♡
No problem! Always happy to help!
In my experience, pendulum divination, often referred to as “dowsing”, is a very accurate, albeit very simple form of gathering knowledge from asking yes and no questions.
To dowse with a pendulum, one must first have the pendulum “set its swings”. Hold the pendulum still and steady, ask the pendulum to show you “yes”, “no”, “maybe”, and “unknown”.
Every pendulum may swing differently, so always ask before dowsing with a new pendulum. If one only uses a single pendulum, they may make a permanent Dowsing board tailored to fit the swings of their pendulum.
For example, my pendulum swings like this:
Yes: north to south
No: in a circle
Maybe: diagonally
Unknown: east to west
For a test, ask the pendulum questions you know to be true or false, and see if the pendulum answers them correctly. For example, if you ask, “do I have brown eyes?”, if you do not have brown eyes, the pendulum should swing no, and if you do, the pendulum should swing yes. If the pendulum is incorrect, try cleansing it and trying again.
You can cleanse your pendulum in a variety of ways, I tend to cleanse with moon water or herb smoke, but cleansing with visualization, stones, crystals, sun water, anything really, is good too. Just find out what works for you and your pendulum.
Pendulums should always be respected. Saying please and thank you is a good way to show your respect.
Some people name their pendulums; mines name is Fleck :)
Hope all that helps! Blessed Be!

🐺Guides, Gods, and Guardians🐺
~As with all posts, this is my take, my opinion, my knowledge. If you make your magick in a different way, great! Don't hate on other ways of the Craft. As I say again and again, there's no wrong way to witchcraft.~
Someone messaged me about this so I figured I’d just post it here too 💙 this is gonna be a long post so buckle up
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Alrighty, so. Guides.
Anything can be a guide. Gods can be guides if you want them to be. Some people feel guided by spirits of ancestors. Some by gods and goddesses. Some by animals or plants. It’s a personal preference:)
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Gods as Guides
Working with guides and gods, etc. is actually fairly simple. Like everything else, it’s all about what feels right to you. Some witches feel that the Gods and guides are like friends, whom you can vent to and talk to any time. Some worship them extremely traditionally, with prayers and rituals and offerings. I do a little of both. My advice would be to start meditating about a god or guide you wish to have a relationship with, and see what you feel. If you feel that this god or guide wants to be venerated and treated respectfully when asked for guidance or when spoken to, start doing that! If they want to be treated like a friend, great! Just start chatting with them daily. Just yesterday as I was walking to class, I was talking to Athena (Greek goddess of wisdom) and asking her to help me with a test. Athena, with me, likes to be treated as sort of a.. boss. Like, we have a respectful, professional relationship. I don’t need to be super formal and use prayers and offerings, but I can’t just say “yo, whaddup Athena, help me with this thing” either. Again, aaaalll about personal preference and how you and the god/guide feels.
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Guides vs Guardians
Guides do just that- they guide you. They can help you in your magick and they can be anything you feel connected to- like ancestors, nature spirits, gods, etc. they can not only help you learn and grow as a witch by showing you new areas of practice and pushing you to find a mentor and things like that, but they can ALSO guard and protect you. Their energies can shield you.
GUARDIANS aren’t really teachers like guides are. Their main job is to protect you and to make you feel safe. They can also be anything you feel connected to, but instead of calling on them or choosing them yourself, like you can with guides, guardians come to you whether you need them or not.
For example, one of my guides is also a guardian for me. A grey wolf. My Cherokee name, given to me by my great grandmothers shaman, is “Waya Adanvdo”, which means Wolf Heart. A wolf always walks beside me, and his energy protects me and guides me. One of my GUARDIANS, though, does not guide me in my craft, but instead surrounds me with her energy and makes me feel safe. She’s a willow tree.
Usually when working magick, you call upon your guide. When you need to feel safe or need a bit of comfort, you can call upon your guide, guardian, or both.
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Getting a Guardian
I don’t know if you have a guardian yet, but like I said, it will come to you no matter what. A guide you can choose. You can CHOOSE to call upon Sol and build a relationship with him, and he can start to help you with your magick and to give you some of his energy. But a guardian will choose YOU instead of you choosing THEM. You may not even like your guardian at first. You may feel that they’re wrong for you. But in time you will grow and realize that your guardian DOES embody your traits and will protect you. My brother, for example, is 6 foot 4 inches, is 200lbs of muscle, just the baddest boy ever. Super tough, mud races trucks, hunts, fights.. and his guardian? A squirrel.
He hated it when he found out, but as he grew up, he realized that the squirrel wasn’t a small and weak animal. The squirrel is a provider for its family. And that’s what my brother is. The squirrel is a protector of its young and its family. And that’s what my brother is. The squirrel is smart and capable. And that’s what my brother is.
So you see, he thought it was wrong at first, but really he just needed to have insight and to get to know his guardian.
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
You can also have multiple guides, but usually you only have one main guardian. Many people refer to their guardian as their “spirit animal.”
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
That’s all for now :) if you have any questions, feel free to message!! Blessed Be, loves 💕
