Reading the new NYT article on JK Rowling, and every single top comment agrees with and defends Joanne. This is genuinely making my day - NYT readers are a good sample of your average American Democrat, and they by and large agree that women’s sex based rights must be defended and the modern trans movement is off the rails. I can’t wait to listen to the new podcast. I really feel like this might be the beginning of the tide turning.

Notes from the Mayfair Witches panel at New York Comic Con:

-Tongayi Chirisa was SO thrilled to be here

-Tongayi Chirisa is asked if Ciprien will have ties to the Talamasca show and possibly get sent to London. He hedges playfully that it may happen, and also seems to imply he may get framed for something.

-Best quote from the moderator: “Anne Rice has weird boundaries.”

-Season 2 is more of a father-son affair when we get introduced to Cortland’s dad, Julien Mayfair. Everyone is delighted that Buffalo Bill is Julien which “Explains why Cortland is the way he is”

-Harry Hamlin on the end of Season One: “How do I get out of this? Do I still have a job?”

-the last 3 episodes will be in Scotland!

-the Talamasca show will have LOTS of crossover both Mayfair Witches and Interview with the Vampire, though no specific characters are mentioned

-There will only be one IWTV character on this season of Mayfair Witches (presumably Lestat’s fledgling), he shows up Episode 3

-Everyone is asked if they’d be friends with their characters. Harry Hamlin (presumably joking): “Absolutely. Cortland is my role model.”
