Have you & Felt ever been to Witchelny?

Nope! Felt or I have never been to Witchenly, and as far as we know no human ever has! While it is true that some Digimon species, like Witchmon, originate there, the actual Gates that lead from the Digital World to Witchenly are rare so not many cross over

i’d been thinking of researching magical witches to do the same thing but lo it has already been done quite well! XD (might still try my own take later but this is very well done and i’m glad to have found it)

According to Digimon lore (and Adventure!Wizarmon’s backstory), Wizarmon’s native world is Witchelny, based on Bandai’s short-lived Magical Witches virtual pets. When I read in the Digimon Adventure novelization that Wizarmon’s original appearance changed when he came to the the Digital World, I looked up the Magical Witches designs to get an idea of what Wizarmon looked like in Witchelny. And then I decided to draw it because they all have cute spiral eyes.

Magical Witches have human skin colors and simpler outfits than Digimon, so I played with that while still keeping the Wizarmon look. The runes on the inside of his cape are the symbols of the four element-based clans in Magical Witches (incidentally, based on his attacks, I figure he might be a member of Baluluna, the wind-based clan, but he studies fire and earth magic too so I don’t know). He lacks mouth stitches because it’s a Digimon thing, but I have a feeling that in the context of Adventure!Wizarmon it’s some sort of punishment.

The Land of Witchelny

This is Digital World developed an ability known as magic, and is occupied by four clans: Earthlin of the earth, Aquary of the waters, Eneruge of the flames, and Baluluna of the winds.

- The land is ruled by the elders of each clan, as well as the three sage Digimon leading the council that governs said clans.

- Mount Brocken lies in the center, around which the land is split into four blocks for each cardinal direction. Each block is occupied by a clan.

- The clans worked together to establish a magic school atop Mount Brocken.

- Some Digimon who mastered advanced programming languages at the magic school travel to the other Digital World in pursuit of further growth.

Day 2 of the @digifakeweek! I went with Child and Witchelny and drew Phloxmon! I think I might’ve made her eye too big XD Phloxmon is a virus-attribute plant Digimon from Witchelny who loves to fight. The spikes on her gloves have the ability to poison other Digimon, so watch out! She has a mischievous personality and can be flippant at times. Her partner in the Witchenly server is a girl named Paige.

I changed up a few things in her design to make her look more Digimon like, but I do think the eye probably should be smaller... but I’ll fix that another time.

Well the official Tamersonaweek has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean the fun stops there! With the help of a few friends (A HUGE SHOUTOUT TO @beelko​​ !!) Has Felt ever had to deliver mail to witchenly?

Nope, I've never been to Witchenly. I have memories of being cared for by a Hexeblaumon a loooong time ago, so I assume that's where I picked up the code that lets me digivolve into a Witchmon. Wish I could remember them, but what can you do.

I know there’s a lot of hypothetical Digimon that could supposedly delete the digital world…….. but like……. How do we even know about them???? Bc if their so catastrophic how did we even find out about their existence with exploding

That's a really good question anon and I want to talk about it in a sort of roundabout way if I can. There is so much we do not know about the Digital World and however many places are adjacent to it (see Witchenly, alternate Digital Worlds, wherever the hell Nanimon come from, etc.) but there are two things we know for certain. First is that the Digital World is its own place with its own culture and mythologies and histories and the second is that it is much, much older than what we assumed it to be.

The name "Digital World" itself is a bit of a misnomer because although we can access it using analog and digital technology, those technologies didn't create it. We just found it one day and that opened up a door to a whole new realm of possibilities we had no idea existed! Here we have a place with living, breathing, sapient beings who are basically living information who grow and change in more unpredictable ways the more they learn from their environments! It's absolutely fascinating and utterly bizarre and a little bit scary at times. But as foreign as the Digimon are, they're still people just like us humans.

And people, no matter where they come from, have stories. Great heroes and villains, divine beings and corrupting forces, and so many other archetypes that don't fit that rigid, and often untrue, dichotomy of morality. So, in part, we know about these potentially world ending threats because the stories about them were told to us by the Digimon but you've got to wonder. With so many parallel worlds, and the seemingly endless cycle of reincarnation Digimon are subjected to, whose to say the Digital World hasn't ended before? Maybe one or even all of these apocalyptic threats did exist and we're just living in the aftermath once their existence has been purged from the system. We still don't know what King Drasil does, if anything at all. Hell we don't even know if it's a Digimon! Maybe it's the antivirus program for the whole system, or maybe it's just another myth. It's food for thought, y'know?

Not exactly. A Hexeblaumon took care of me for my first few cycles so I assume that's where I absorbed the data that lets me evolve into a Witchmon. I have no idea where they went, they just didn't come home one day, so maybe they went back to Witchenly.

Curious what you think of other species from Witchelny? i.e., Sorcerymon, Witchmon, MedievalDukemon, Mystimon, FlaWizarmon, and Wisemon?

my number one is forever going to be upset/disappointed/confused as to why Ghostmon isn't apart of the Witchenly gang. It evolves into both Witch and Wizardmon just toss in a sentence that they come from the ghosts of deceased Witchenly residents from after the war or something 😩😩 (shoves my headcanon into this ask LMFAOOO)

Sorcerymon - Beloved! Broke my heart!! I bully him way too much when I do Witchenly crew shit but I really do love the color scheme and the staff. I've been wanting to do a re-design for years now but never got around to it

FlaWizarmon - BELOVED!!! BLESS YOUNG HUNTERS FOR GIVING ME CONTENT love love LOVE his design!!! Especially glad he isn't just Wizardmon with a red filter like Sorcerymons is light blue filter (she says immediately after having praised) he's super unique and everything about him is a huge favorite of mine

Witchmon - I CRIMINALLY IGNORE HER she's so cute! She has such a great base personality + set of goals! SHE'S WIZARDMONS RIVAL!!!!! I really should do more with her personally but HHHHHH hard to draw 💔 Another beloved though (points at the current trend)

MidievalDukemon - 100% Didn't know he existed until the Witchenly lore dropped LMFAO BUT Everything about his profile is fucking FANTASTIC I love how he's this mythical hero, sick design I hope we see more of him in the future

Mystimon - AND NOW ON THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THAT LAST ONE, I don't really care for Mystimons design or character(profile) It's super bland to me and fantasy generic, feels too out of place for Digimon. Honestly I can see him more as a yugioh card (this isn't a diss on ygo, Mysti just genuinely sticks out both Digimon and Witchenly wise)

Wisemon - ENDS WITH ONE FINAL BELOVED. I loooooovveeee noface digimon they're so cute. Every single one is 10 Botamon in a trenchcoat and Wisemon is no different LOL. My one and only highlight of Xros Wars//Fusion was just how great Wisemon was in it. (Maybe I just have a specific weakness for the demon man type digimon? 🤔?) His design is super simple but super effective and the colors aren't a rando splashed mesh of things
