I reread witch hat atelier a couple days ago so I wanted to do an AU,,,

Orb Witch Hat Atelier AU

They were in the same atelier as children

Viktor’s disease got worse and worse until he eventually dies and Jayce brings him back using forbidden magic

Viktor leaves him after he used forbidden magic when Viktor refused to experiment with that on his own body for years

Eventually Viktor realizes that he won’t be accepted in witch society with his obviously magically altered body

Viktor realizes that using forbidden magic he can help those in Zaun who have been without help from the witches for decades and he becomes a brimmed hat, accepting that forbidden magic is a part of him now

The spells Viktor is tattooing onto people are killing them (in a similar way to the people in the commune in s2) but Viktor doesn’t notice (glorious evolution and all that)

Jayce learns what Viktor is doing with forbidden magic and kills Viktor again (idk how to bring the time travel and mage Viktor and months in the bottom of the pit into this just go with me here)

The other brimmed hats bring him back but this time Viktor continues tattooing seals onto his skin until the magic makes him no longer recognizable as human and he is the arcane herald

They fight and end up in a similar position with s2 ending jayvik

So on and so forth yada yada you get the picture

Feel free to add to this if it sparked any ideas! I feel like this is an au that could work pretty well with enough thought put into it but I am sleepy and haven’t done that work

I had an idea of my wol in witch hat atelier settings, so it evolved into something bigger (nervous chuckles) and he suddenly got a twin (who originally his azem twin)

What if olruggio get‘s kidnapped and Brain washed or so and become one of them and So but the Girls help and qifrey too get him normal but at the time olruggio as become normal again and still mad at qifrey for manipulating he‘s memories and don’t let’s help him and a angsty Storie Happen

We don’t know Olruggio‘s parent‘s what if they where brimehead‘s and they manipuliert olruggio in infrieltiren the pointed Head and get Information and so but then he meet Qifrey

A very talented witch apprentice, going by the book, living an easy life, until he meets a mysterious witch who teaches him forbidden magic. His ribbon tassel can wrap around his hat, creating a floating brim (resembling the solar system) alternatively it's up in flames,,

Oczy

Not much to his design sorryyy, he's an unknowing. Him and Gras were approached by a brimhat on the brink of death who revealed to them the truth about magic and passed on his research. Oczy ventures to meet an eccentric witch who might know what to do with it

Badeni

Interested in all kinds of magic, also the forbidden,, currently a watchful eye at Grabowski's atelier (he couldn't get any other job bc of his bad reputation), only cares about his personal research tho. His life changes when he meets a certain unknowing man...

Jolenta

Witch apprentice, very talented but not taken seriously by the men around her as the only girl in her atelier. Helps Badeni and Oczy, teaches Oczy basic magic. Her father belongs to Knights Moralis..

After they're found out, she escapes and openly becomes a brimhat

Draka

Didn't really get to work on her design yettt

She belongs to a group of nomadic witches specializing in creating magical garments. Uses her magic for whatever's the most profitable,,, and oh well what's so wrong about this forbidden magic anyway, it could be useful-

That's everyone I've drawn so far, but I'll def get back to it, I need to draw Nowak and Hubert and the heretic liberation front 🫡

Now if you ask me what it is that they're researching, I'll tell you idk. Could it be heliocentrism itself? What's the stance on that in the WHA world, do they know??? Are we still on flat earth stage..? I don't recall any myths or whatnot about the cosmos,, I really wonder now lol, but for the sake of the story it's rather some magic from before the Day of the Pact, or maybe the reasons for the creation of the pact to begin with,, something that regular witches don't know and they would want to spread,,,

Well that's it for now, just enjoying designing witch outfits and thinking about them in this magical world 🫶 at least they wouldn't die here, just get their memories erased 😇 (okubade falling in love again after the memory loss ohh..... This is just like reincarnation au)
