Hey, a question on the magus au
Do all the wizard have a paladin to defend them? In this case who was the paladin that defended Geltrude or the one who defended Elias?
Not everyone- Gerry doesn't for example- but Gertrude and Elias did have Emma and Peter

Well, I recently watched episodes 1-3 of Madoka Magica so here are my thoughts on the series. From episodes 1-3 I mean.
There's gonna be spoilers, by the way.
My thoughts on Madoka Magica: Episodes 1-3!
Episode 1
So, right from the get-go, I am absolutely in love with the setting design of this series. Madoka, the protagonist, runs through checkerboard corridors and Escheresque halls in the dream sequence that kicks off the show, and it's absolutely gorgeous.
Of course, everything then gets kicked up to 11 when Madoka walks through a door and fucking
MEETS GOD.
Okay, that's not actually God, or even an Angel, but something called a Witch, which I'll get to later. (heheh, witch which)
Anyways, after that whole kerfuffle she wakes up and brushes her teeth, boring life stuff, we're introduced to her friends Sayaka and who the fuck cares, yada yada. And then, this bitch (named Homura) shows up.
Holy fuck I hate this bitch. She is so mean and rude and condescending and emotionless as she does it. She feels like a caricature of autistic people. She either needs to show some actual fucking humanity and stop being a cold-hearted cunt, or just fuck off and get killed. Mind you, I've only seen up to Episode 3. So, she might get better, and I have no idea if she does. Anyways, she lowkey threatens Madoka, time passes, and then kind of just straight up tries to kill a main character (Kyubey, this weird cat thing). Now, this is where the fun begins.
The four main characters at this point- Madoka, Sayaka, Kyubey, and Homura- Are all pulled into this thing called a "Labyrinth." Labyrinths are pocket-dimensions created by entities called "Witches" as a way to keep themselves safe and protected from the outside world while they do their... Witch things. Whatever those are. Sending people "kys" over Discord dms or something, I don't know. Either way, they look fantastic.
Putting these traditionally animated chatacters within this photorealistic hellscape just really conveys how completely alien the Witches are, so much so that they and their domains appear as if on a completely different level of reality.
This is the witch of what I'm calling the Butterfly Gardens Labyrinth, because... Those are the main motifs of the Labyrinth. Her name is Gertude, by the way.
Anyways, this girl named Mami shows up and shoots everything with her magic shotguns, the Witch escapes, and Mami asks Madoka and Sayaka to become Magical Girls like her. Well, Kyubey does the asking, but whatever.
Episode 2
Blah blah blah boring exposition. Shit barely happens. We find out that witches drop loot when they die, called "Grief Seeds". Which is pretty cool actually. It's explained that a girl becomes a Magical Girl when they make a contract with Kyubey and create a soul gem or whatever. Creating the aforementioned contract also means that you get a WISH. Like, ANY WISH. NO RULES. AT ALL. Which pisses me off because these idiots could wish for
1. The extinction of all Witches. 2. More wishes. 3. The power to warp reality in whatever way they want.
And Kyubey could theoretically grant them!!! What the fuck!!!!! They also say that "Witches are born from curses like Magical Girls are born from wishes", whatever the fuck that means. Are they implying that witches are just... Cursed humans? Like, they are the victims of a curse? And you're just killing them without mercy? Instead of trying to rehabilitate them?? What the fuck is wrong with these motherfuckers. Seriously.
Also, it feels like a good time to mention that I don't trust this fucker at all.
I see through you, Kyubey. You're a fucking parasite, aren't you.
Also, WHERE THE FUCK ARE ALL THE MAGICAL BOYS??? PUT SOME DUDES ON THE TEAM YOU WEIRD CAT. THIS JUST SEEMS FETISHY IF THERE ARE JUST LITTLE GIRLS WORKING FOR YOU. NOT A GOOD LOOK.
Side-Tangent: Intro
As if I wasn't already on a side-tangent complaining about the yet-unexplained holes in the worldbuilding and how much I despise Kyubey, I'm just gonna take a moment to talk really quick about the intro.
*Ahem.*
WHAT THE FUCK, PEOPLE.
That girl is an EIGHTH GRADER. SHE IS NOT ONLY A MINOR, BUT A VERY YOUNG ONE AS WELL.
AND HERE SHE FUCKING IS. IN A REVEALING, FETISHISTIC, SWIMSUIT. IF THAT'S WHAT THAT EVEN IS.
AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THIS WHOLE FUCKING SCENE. WHY DID THEY MAKE THEM SQUISH THEIR CHESTS TOGETHER??? WHAT THE FUCK!!! THESE ARE NAKED 13 YEAR OLDS WHAT THE FUCK WHY IS THIS IN MY INTRO SEQUENCE WHO THE FUCK SAID THIS WAS OKAY TO PUT ON TV???????????????
Anyways rant over. I hate pedophiles
Episode 3
Oooh, a hospital-based Labyrinth!! This looks so cool!
You know, now that I think about it, Mami is actually a pretty fun character, and I like her a lot! She has some depth to her that wasn't visible before, but now I'm able to really appreciate it!
Heck, even her vicious slaughter of innocent inhabitants of the Witches Labyrinths is kind of cool now!
Oh hey, look, the Witch is a funny doll!! lmao
...Hey, hol up, what's that
Hey wait what's it doing
oh no. oh no no no no no
What are you doing miss funny candy clown snake please don't do tha-
...
. . .
it hurts.

Research post #13
(Semester 2, part 5)
“Most of the interpretation of a photograph has to come from the viewer and so the core of what is expressed with an image really lies in that unseen, what we don’t see in shadows or in silent association.”
- Maja Daniels
Maja Daniels is a photographer who uses Scandinavian Myths and folklore in her photography. She worked for three years on a series that uncovers the truths, fictions and folklore of Älvdalen, a a Swedish valley so isolated that they have been able to preserver an ancient language that would be otherwise forgotten, called Elfdalian. In 1668, in Älvdalen a 12-year-old girl by the name of Gertud was accused of walking on water. Hysteria ensued and Gertud, along with 19 other women and one man, were executed for practicing witchcraft. This event was the sparked a chain reaction that lead to the infamous Salem witch trials.
Maja does an amazing job of showcasing the history of Älvdalen in her photography as well as making her photos hold that mystery and wonder that the story’s hold. I find it incredibly interesting that the thing that drew here most to telling ancient stories like these wasn’t just the stories themself but the lost languages they were told in.
The last photo is taken by “Tenn Lars” Göran Lars Albert Persson (1879-1938) that she’s included in her photobook. (See Research post #14)

Long after dead hero Beowulf’s triumphs over the monster Grendel and his evil mother, another deadly menace threatens Daneland - and a new hero steps up to face the challenge …
Part 1 of a saga told by Awn Lief (to be continued every Sunday from November 26 2023)
1.
When Beowulf clove the head of
Grendel’s fearsome mother, her vile remains
sank in the oblivious mire to depths
unplumbed; a writhing, twisting unform.
Black as night this lay, stirring scarce at all
while millennia passed, and more, until,
one spring as salmon hurried overhead,
it stirred. A sense had come that a son
descended through the ages from
the loins of Beowulf had birthed.
Slowly, the spiteful mass re-formed
to spawn four huge and shuddering eggs
and as the summer neared they swelled, then burst,
and, rising like mayflies from the depths,
there came four babes in cherubic human form.
Together drifting to the shore, they laid
and cried pitifully among the rushes there.
This was no accident: a mother
new bereft from losing yet another child,
her third, heard the plaintive cries they rendered,
gathered them from the mere
and took them as her own.
Great in beauty in human form these witches grew,
the foster-mother proud of their cleverness and looks,
no matter their deep eyes of blue
flashed oft in anger fiery-red:
Gertud, the spear in the old language,
Estrid, whose charms could never be surpassed,
Hilda, whose name meant ‘fighter’
and Gudrun, powerful above all, goddess.
And kept and schooled in human ways
they prospered; when womanhood’s age
stirred them they gathered, all four
at the lakeside, each knife-scored their
palms to let the blood run free,
held hands to make a blood-bond ring
and spun, vowing to avenge their
true mother and her son, whose
name they knew as Grendel one-hand,
afterwards washing in the mere
to stain the waters crimson.
In reply the surface boiled from shore to shore.

Gertrud and her familiars from Madoka Magica Portable
Anthonies are seen the most in Gertrud’s barrier and are the only familiar present when fighting Gertrud. During their regular pose they sway from side to side but during their idle they pick up a rose from their heads and wave it about above them. In their death animations their arms segment and their faces now have eye-holes and realistic mouths similar to their anime appearance. After this their whole body segments and they fall down. The same face is used when they’re attacking. They lunge forwards with their arms and a pair of scissors-followed by black thorns-hit the player.
The small versions of Adelbert appear, obviously being rather weak and not much of a problem. They always come in groups of three. During their idle animation, they spin around each other. When hit they suddenly move apart but soon join again. They do the same in death but fall to the ground after separating.
The larger Adelberts appear less frequently than the Anthony. They have a similar idle to the tiny Adelberts: where they spin in place. And a similar death animation to the Anthonies, as they fall to the ground in segments. Their attack is simple: they just lunge towards the player.
Gertrud appears at the end of her barrier, but isn’t much of a threat. The only attack I’ve seen from her is one that summons more Anthony.
During her regular animation, the roses in her hair change size and her wings flutter, as to be expected. Her head and body also move quite roughly, akin to the anime. During her idle, her hair becomes star shaped and a butterfly silhouette with a single rose at the centre appears. While attacking (summoning Anthony) she lifts her head and a purple aura appears around it. Also, while charging, she leans down in a similar way.
When defeated, the roses fall from her hair one by one and a wave of different coloured butterflies fly across the screen as she fades away.
An interesting note here is that Gertrud is standing (sitting?) on the ground instead of on her usual red chair.

So I made a drawing of my (irl) Gf Danganronpa Oc in magical girl & Witch. (Also, Spoilers for Madoka Magica)
Btw this is fan art for her and go follow her 👉@just-a-mari-acc
Her Oc’s name is Akina Blossom and her Ultimate Talent is the ultimate Florist. And the anime that I drew in is Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Me and my gf are working on the fangame she made but, I’m helping with the story not the characters. Also, I have a Danganronpa fangame of my own I’m working on my self only. And don’t question my notes on my notebook I didn’t think a was going to post it.
Notes:
As magical Girl-
Akina’s wish would be that she be able to see more beautiful flowers or to seek the truth. Her weapon would be a gun (Like Mami-). Her Magical girl design is based of Mami and her current design. I still haven’t decide where her soul gem is going to be.
As a witch-
My inspiration for her is Gertud,Oktavia von Seckendorff, and Homulily. I’m still figuring out a witch design for Akina. But, what I have now is that she is 9’6ft which I randomly chose and I forgot to calculate into cm for anyone who sees this and is not American. As a joke I named her witch blossom because why not and that’s the only thing that I could’ve thought at the time. Eventually I’m going to change what the flower of her heads would be. Blossom’s nature is forgotten and her type is Three headed flower witch.
Oh if you want to read other of the fan games here are the links but there still in not done. But here are the links
