diy shows are usually between $5-$15 depending on the lineup! and if it's at someone's house usually there's free beer if you're into that. if you don't know how to discover local bands in your area i would recommend going on bandcamp and narrowing the search to your city (or the closest big city near you), and if you like them, check out their socials for show dates
college radio stations are also usually pretty involved in the local scene!!
I think it’s funny when fans are shocked people saw mcr in 2005 for $20… like yeah you too can go see a future world famous band at a local venue for $20 right now

Im Terra Firma, and this is my new album, "Flayed"!
for the album and more context, go to the link above :)
When making art, music, or poetry, it's all a scrambling attempt to document the ephemeral "somethings" of the day to day. and often in the end you're left with this clumsy, weird, handcrafted blob. then, you publish it. it's not an exact transcription of your feelings, but it's an effort. This album came out of a difficult period in my life, and I hope that for any listener, in my weird, clumsy, handcrafted blob, there is a little something to hold on to. Thank you!

How To Improve Your Home’s Air Quality During the Spring in Wisconsin: DIY Tips & Professional Solutions
Tumblr media
When spring has sprung, so have the many allergens and contaminants that come along with it. The springtime can bring about fantastic weather, but it can be hard to enjoy if your home’s air quality is lacking. Having fresh air at home is a luxury everyone should take part in!
Fortunately, there are ways you can combat poor air quality at home. High-quality air at home creates a more comfortable and pleasant atmosphere and can improve your health and well-being. This blog discusses what factors trigger poor indoor air quality, what you can do about it yourself, and when to consider professional help.
Improve your indoor air quality today with expert care by contacting The Thielmann Group at (262) 299-6197.
5 Factors That Affect Your Home’s Air Quality
Poor air quality can result from various factors, and many pollutants are unseen to the naked eye. It’s essential to familiarize yourself with the causes of inferior air quality to know the best solution for targeting it. Some of the most common factors that can impact your indoor air include:
Pollen: With the start of spring and the blooming of flowers and trees, pollen is in the air, which can irritate those with spring allergies.
Dust: As the weather gets warmer, homeowners open their windows, and their homes accumulate more dust.
Mold & mildew: As they say, “April showers bring May flowers,” meaning that there is more humidity in the air, and homes are more likely to be damp, leading to the growth of mold and mildew.
Pet dander: Pets start shedding their winter coats, so there is more pet dander in the home’s air.
Airborne illnesses: People with aggravated respiratory systems due to spring allergies can spread germs and airborne diseases, such as colds.
Professional & DIY Tips For Improving Your Southwest Wisconsin Home’s Air Quality
Fresh indoor air isn’t challenging to achieve; there are several tips and tricks you can follow to improve the air quality of your home in the spring so that you can feel better and enjoy the sunny, breezy weather without constraint:
Regularly change out the air filters in your HVAC unit
Manage dust by vacuuming and dusting frequently
Utilize stove and bathroom vents
Open windows to air out your home, especially when cooking or cleaning
Don’t wear your shoes in the house
Ensure your air ducts are clean and crack-free
Limit the use of certain candles and air fresheners
Place indoor plants around your home
Hiring a professional for air quality services is a surefire way to guarantee fresh, breathable air at home. The Thielmann Group offers IAQ services, including air purifier or scrubber installation that work hard to target, capture, and eradicate allergens from your air. We also provide routine HVAC maintenance that ensures your unit is equipped to operate correctly. Relying on a professional gives you the best chance at achieving a healthier living environment.

This 1889 home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is the consummate Gothic Victorian. A lot of the decor is uniquely DIY, which makes it interesting, to say the least. 3bds, 3ba, $439,900.
Tumblr media
The original doors in the entrance hall were given a couple of coats of shiny black paint.
Tumblr media
The stairs were trimmed in gray and it looks like they stripped and refinished the railings.
Tumblr media
This reception room has an original fireplace and pocket doors.
Tumblr media
I can't say that the built-in cabinet it original, b/c it's a very different style. It looks like an old farm piece and the owners used a crackle paint finish to make it look chippy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This middle room is 2 stories high, has a balcony, and the owners added some architectural salvage molding pieces. It also appears that the stone on the corner fireplace was replaced.
Tumblr media
This is the ceiling in the room.
Tumblr media
Old pocket doors missing hardware were given a distressed finish and the dining room ceiling is like a bronze/brown.
Tumblr media
The kitchen reno is completely DIY, made with architectural salvage pieces.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at all the things.
Tumblr media
It's very creative and look at how they fit the ovens into that green piece.
Tumblr media
In the powder room they found a very different style door to fit the pocket.
Tumblr media
On the 2nd floor, I'm not sure if this open room is supposed to be a bedroom, but it does look like one.
Tumblr media
The hole in the ceiling exposing the window above may be the result of a new ceiling. That gives it a very unique feature.
Tumblr media
There's a washer/dryer up here, and a kitchenette unit. Notice all the ceiling light fixtures.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like the color scheme of this bedroom and the wall was taken down to make an open en-suite.
Tumblr media
Interesting arched ceiling in the bath and that's some piece they chose for the sink.
Tumblr media
So much in this home has been reconfigured. You can tell that the walls are new. So, this is the turret.
Tumblr media
At the base of the rear stairs there's a newly configured nook.
Tumblr media
This open room has been turned into a bath with a sauna.
Tumblr media
This is quite the large bath.
Tumblr media
It actually looks like most of the attic is bathroom.
Tumblr media
At first glance I thought that this was a hot tub, but it appears to be some sort of platform or stage.
Tumblr media
The basement's very big, has some creepy-ish gray stone walls, and lots of fun potential.
Tumblr media
The exterior gothic architecture on this house is stunning.
Tumblr media
The yard is fenced, but it needs landscaping. 4,791 sq. ft. lot

Little libraries -
Free little Libraries are a great passive mutual aid project. Originally inspired by DIY projects they are easy to build, are generally low maintenance once established, creative and fun artworks within themselves, and its a great way to introduce a gift economy into your neighborhood!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
History-
2009- Todd Bol of Hudson, Wisconsin, built a model of a one room schoolhouse. It was a tribute to his mother; she was a teacher who loved to read. He filled it with books and put it on a post in his front yard. His neighbors and friends loved it, so he built several more and gave them away.
UW-Madison’s Rick Brooks saw Bol’s do-it-yourself project while they were discussing potential mutual aid projects. They were inspired by community gift-sharing networks, “take a book, leave a book” collections in coffee shops and public spaces, and most especially by the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie.
2010 the name Little Free Library was established and the purpose of these Little Free Library book exchanges became clear: to share good books and bring communities together. As Bol and Brooks continued to give away Little Free Libraries with wooden charter signs, engraved with official charter numbers, curiosity and demand for more Libraries grew. The acceleration centered on the enthusiasm of early adopters and stewards, who were crucial advocates. Some small grants and informal partnerships began to have an impact on Little Free Library’s ability to keep up with demand.
2011 brought national media attention, and by the end of the year there were nearly 400 Little Free Libraries in existence. That number would skyrocket to over 4,000 Libraries within a year.
2012  Little Free Library became a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the states!
Little Free Libraries have continued to grow by leaps and bounds every year. In 2022 we surpassed 150,000 registered Libraries in more than 120 countries worldwide. Even establishing an online map and app to help people locate the libraries!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
How do I do this?
The little library website hosts a bunch of plans and blueprints to make a library or get ideas for locations. Even having ready to order kits if you want!
You will need either land or public approval to establish one however, this can be by the city, neighbours, or other public spaces but they are technically put on private land. You wont find anyone ho would object to their installation but I would not recommend just installing one unless your okay with it being taken down.
Pick a location that has a lot of foot traffic and be highly visible to anyone nearby and is accessible as possible.
Register your library! You can get an official charter sign by doing this step!!
Fill it up with books!!

The Ducks of the FITF Tour.
John Delf the sound engineer of the Louis Tomlinson tour started to put in the sound booth rubber ducks that fans gave him to keep him company, and this collection got big this US & Canada leg. So here is the story (that nobody ask for) of how this family of ducks started and growth.
Tumblr media
[Disclaimer: I'm aware this could sound like a dumb post to make but i have fun making it and wanted to share what fans created. Also some of this photos and edits are potato quality so sorry in advanced if you don't see very well the details.]
-The Duck family started with the green duck, who was first spotted at the Cuyahoga Falls show (01.06.23) [duck count: 1].
Tumblr media
-After that the green duck was spotted in John's photos in different shows, however at the Milwaukee, Wisconsin show (13.06.23) five new friends join in (pink, black, blue, yellow and red ducks), the green duck wasn't alone anymore [duck count: 6].
Tumblr media
-The rainbow ducks were spotted in different shows until the Berkley, California show(29.06.23) where a new family member join in: The capitan duck with an anchor [duck count: 7].
Tumblr media
-The seven ducks were spotted in LA, Las Vegas, Phoenix but in Irving, Texas show (06.07.23) three new members join in [duck count:10].
Tumblr media
In the upper photo we see: the space polka dot duck, the disco duck and the duck the duck with green hair/hat.
-In the Austin, Texas show (07.07.23) two new members were add it: the FITF duck and the futbol duck [duck count: 12].
Tumblr media
-The next show that a new family member was added it was in Hollywood Florida (13.07.23), where 1 more join in: the duck chileno [duck count: 13].
Tumblr media
-In the Tampa, Florida show (14.07.23) the duck family got bigger with 6 Louis ducks plus a green turtle [duck count: 19+1 turtle].
Tumblr media
In the upper photo we see (Louis in Gilford duck, Louis in Cuyahoga Falls duck,Louis in Columbus duck, Louis with 28 clothing white hoodie duck,Louis in Seattle duck and Louis Troutdale duck) and the green turtle.
If you forgot about those outfits here is a reminder:
Tumblr media
-In the Atlanta, Georgia show (15.07.23) two new members join: the second duck chileno and the soccer ball duck [duck count: 21 + 1 turtle].
Tumblr media
-In the Nashville show (18.07.21) six members join in [duck count: 27 + 1 turtle].
Tumblr media
In the upper photo we see: princess duck, angel duck, green with blue glasses duck (later shows it ends up with black glasses),bracelet-flying helmet duck, big red duck, fitf album cover duck.
-In the Charlotte show (19.07.23) in the day the 28 member was add it, the cowboy duck with a pink floatie, at night two more join in Louis in Nashville duck and Louis in Atlanta duck [duck count: 30+ 1 turtle].
Tumblr media
Checking this post and this other post and what John posted of other show, for the position of the ducks, the Nashville and Atlanta duck have a penguin on their butt so they can look more like the original Louis(they also have blue eyes like Louis).
I know the quality is not the best but you can see the form of the outfits (Atlanta outfit on the left and Nashville outfit on the right):
Tumblr media
-In the Raleigh show (21.07.23), were add it 14 members to the duck family [duck count: 44+ 1 turtle].
Tumblr media
In the upper photo we see: 5 long hair neon rainbow light ducks, john delf duck, baby purple duck, duck with blue shirt, North Caroline duck, middle finger duck, black stripes duck, yellow duck with a sparkly shirt and lastly duck unicorn twins.
-In the Columbia show (23.07.23), 16 ducks join the family [duck count: 60+ 1 turtle].
Tumblr media
In the upper photo are: triplets soccer ball ducks, clown duck (fandom representation), duck blue shirt, duck with green shirt, sparkly triplets ducks (golden, red, gray ), DIY duck, pilot duck with floatie, mystery red duck (I can't see how it looks), duck with black hat, superman duck, transparent duck, red rocket duck.
-In the Boston night 1 show (24.07.23) we got 2 more ducks and an octopus stuffed animal ?.[duck count: 62+ 1 turtle+1 octopus]
Tumblr media
In the upper photo we see High in California duck, soldier duck and cute octopus.
-In the Boston night 2 show (25.07.23), the photos share for this are really dark and I really can't see a lot, for the form and future show post I figure which were the new ones (maybe I could have miss something), in this show were add it 4 new ducks.[duck count: 66+ 1 turtle+1 octopus]
Tumblr media
In the upper photo we see writing duck, gray necklace duck, Boston duck and weed duck.
-In the Philadelphia show (27.07.23), the photo is really dark and even edited the quality is not the best, but in this show the rest of the ducks weren't showcase in the photo we only see the new 7 ducks [duck count: 73+ 1 turtle+1 octopus].
Tumblr media
In the upper photo we see red duck with a quiff, Luigui the italian duck, punk purple duck, soccer dress duck, blue duck (this is a new one besides the other blue)white duck and astronaut duck.
-In the Asbury Park, New Jersey show (28.07.23) we only see the 4 new duck that join the family [duck count: 77+ 1 turtle+1 octopus].
Tumblr media
In the upper photo we see yellow Louis duck, Tomlinson duck, O.R.F.C and beaded blue duck.
-In NYC (29.07.23) in the day we got a video that share the collection and were add it 2 new ducks (maybe john got them after taking the pic of Ausbury) [duck count: 79 + 1 turtle + 1 octopus] .
Tumblr media
My edit is awful and I have to put some photos on top so you can see all of them. Anyway in the image we see duck with glasses and mini yellow duck.
-Same day at night more ducks were add it. This is the last one and the most hard to figure it out because of the picture, I probably miss something but this is what I could notice, in the NYC show (29.07.23) 7 ducks join the family [duck count: 86+ 1 turtle+1 octopus].
Tumblr media
In the upper photo we see duck shark, crochet duck, hidden duck, darker unknown duck, sparkly big green duck, yellow duck with something in their back and helmet duck.
Just like this collection got out of control, this post as well, If you have links of the story of fans who give ducks or better photos or name suggestions for the ducks please share it with me.
I have the same post on twitter in english and español if you want to share it over there. I'm hoping fans that gift ducks see it and could tag me in better photos so please reblog and retweet.
In the European leg tour John doesn't show the new ducks in all shows and the photos are really dark with not a lot of close ups but I will try to do another recap.
