Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Coupé Prototype, 1965, by Frua. A project by British racing driver John Coombs to offer a bespoke version of the E-type. After a chance meeting with Italian coachbuilder Peitro Frua, they agreed a series of trim modifications that would be manufactured by Frua in Turin and then fitted by Coombs at his workshop in the UK. In addition to the Frua-designed nose and rear bumper Combs had the head ported and added a high ratio back axle with suspension upgrades. It was presented at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show and at Earls Court but despite receiving orders Combs cancelled the project on cost grounds so the prototype remained a one-off. It was sold recently in the UK

honestly can we talk about the ethics of Tanaka’s hamster? Like I’m not even going to touch the whole ‘has the soul of a dead little boy’ thing, but Tanaka keeps it in a cage that is entirely too small, carries it around everywhere, and purposefully exposes it to impurities to stress it out and make it react. And actually I am going to bring it back to the little boy soul because it’s kept the hamster alive for twenty years. Like can it not die or age? Is the hamster never going to get retired? Just in the most long-term stressful conditions I could imagine for a prey animal forever?

Many of the charactes on this list are revolutionaries with progressive political views (Flint, Madi, Blake, Enjolras) so obviously this is the reason I love them. Omar stands out as an amazingly gentle yet admirable character among the gangsters in The Wire. Garak is my favourite among the morally grey characters, and Crowley is just great fun to watch. Avasarala and Moraine - scheming and manipulative, but essentially selfless and fighting for greater good. I also love Avasarala for her amazing fashion sense. Gil Galad is an inspiring figure in Tolkien's legendarium, the last High King of Noldor who held out against the enemy longer than any other.

Isadora Duncan’s Car

One of the most intriguing figures of the early 20th century was American-born dancer and choreographer Isadora Duncan. Despite her American roots, she spent most of her life in Europe where people highly respected her. She became a celebrity among the artistic elite of the Art Deco age. Unfortunately, her untimely death was bizarre and somewhat of a mystery. Isadora was in the company of her Italian lover and mechanic on a warm September night in 1927 in Nice, France. The couple went for a ride in her convertible car and Isadora was sitting in the passenger seat. During the ride, her long silk scarf got caught up in the wire wheels of the car, strangling her and also causing fatal injuries.

The driver rushed to the hospital, but there wasn’t anything they could do and there weren’t any witnesses to the case. A full 90 years after Duncan died, the community is divided on which car she rode in back then. During her lifetime, Isadora owner many prestigious machines. Most historians claim that a Bugatti was the car in question. However, recent research shows Isadora also owned an Amilcar, another long lost, obscure French brand. Her lover is long gone and could not provide any information, so nobody knows what happened to this car.
