Volvo 1800S, 1968. At the London Concours. The P1800 series was designed by Pelle Petterson under the tutelage of Pietro Frua when Frua's studio was a subsidiary of the Italian carrozzeria Ghia. The car on display had non-standard wire wheels. Early cars were built by the Jensen company in West Bromwich, England but this car was made in Sweden

honestly can we talk about the ethics of Tanaka’s hamster? Like I’m not even going to touch the whole ‘has the soul of a dead little boy’ thing, but Tanaka keeps it in a cage that is entirely too small, carries it around everywhere, and purposefully exposes it to impurities to stress it out and make it react. And actually I am going to bring it back to the little boy soul because it’s kept the hamster alive for twenty years. Like can it not die or age? Is the hamster never going to get retired? Just in the most long-term stressful conditions I could imagine for a prey animal forever?

Triumph Stag (US), 1971. The Stag has emerged from an idea of Michelotti for a Triumph grand tourer with a removable roof, in the style of the Mercedes SL. It was powered by a 3.0 SOHC V8 engine, created by doubling-up two Triumph 1.5 litre slant-4 engines. The US market cars had added safety and emissions equipment to meet Federal standards and also came with wire wheels. The V8 engine quickly developed a reputation for unreliability and overheating. Despite the popularity of Triumph's TR sports cars in the US (it was Triumph's largest market), the Stag was a sales flop in America with only 2,871 being sold during 6 years on sale

Thanks for tagging me @mostlikelytobeagainstcapitalism ❤!
10 characters/ 10 fandoms/ 10 tags (in no particular order)
James Flint - Black Sails
Madi Scott - Black Sails
Roj Blake - Blake's 7
Omar Little - The Wire
Elim Garak - Deep Space 9
Enjolras - Les Mis
Crowley - Supernatural
Chrisjen Avasarala - The Expanse
Moraine Damodred - The Wheel of Time
Gil Galad - The Silmarillion
Many of the charactes on this list are revolutionaries with progressive political views (Flint, Madi, Blake, Enjolras) so obviously this is the reason I love them. Omar stands out as an amazingly gentle yet admirable character among the gangsters in The Wire. Garak is my favourite among the morally grey characters, and Crowley is just great fun to watch. Avasarala and Moraine - scheming and manipulative, but essentially selfless and fighting for greater good. I also love Avasarala for her amazing fashion sense. Gil Galad is an inspiring figure in Tolkien's legendarium, the last High King of Noldor who held out against the enemy longer than any other.
Tagging @idontwikeit @storkmuffin @frodo-of-the-nine-fingers @a-man-for-hire-and-his-archives @justavon @oxideblack @probably-enjoying-this @bertilakslady @reinasedai @rings-of-power-realm and anyone else who wants to play!

Isadora Duncan’s Car
One of the most intriguing figures of the early 20th century was American-born dancer and choreographer Isadora Duncan. Despite her American roots, she spent most of her life in Europe where people highly respected her. She became a celebrity among the artistic elite of the Art Deco age. Unfortunately, her untimely death was bizarre and somewhat of a mystery. Isadora was in the company of her Italian lover and mechanic on a warm September night in 1927 in Nice, France. The couple went for a ride in her convertible car and Isadora was sitting in the passenger seat. During the ride, her long silk scarf got caught up in the wire wheels of the car, strangling her and also causing fatal injuries.

The driver rushed to the hospital, but there wasn’t anything they could do and there weren’t any witnesses to the case. A full 90 years after Duncan died, the community is divided on which car she rode in back then. During her lifetime, Isadora owner many prestigious machines. Most historians claim that a Bugatti was the car in question. However, recent research shows Isadora also owned an Amilcar, another long lost, obscure French brand. Her lover is long gone and could not provide any information, so nobody knows what happened to this car.
