Hey we're starting an event called The Bootlegger. It'll be a (bi)monthly event where 3 bands play and the whole night is recorded live (or bootlegged), and will be made available to stream live a week or so after the event. The first night is 21st May at Wharf Chambers. It's £3 otd and there's some other great LCoM bands playing. WIREBIRD's debut show and the superlative Nii (w/ full band). It'd be great to see as many people down as possible and get in touch for future dates if you'd be interested in playing. "Teenage Eyes" - Ex Libras

Music and press releases in my inbox are a pain to sort through, but from time to time, some of the more intriguing pieces catch the ear. Ex Libras, an eclectic rock three piece from Britain, recently released this video for "Teenage Eyes," a single from their EP Cut(s) [which is itself a release of reimaginings from their debut Suite(s)]. Their own tastes - hip hop, orchestral music, electronica, etc - are unsurprising after hearing this track, which has elements of all three and more. Delicate, yet dark; fragile, yet beautiful. The suberbly directed visuals of Beau Fowler are similarly stunning. "Teenage Eyes" will be available as a download from Wirebird Records on February 28th.
