posting this little thing, while I’m neck-deep in iwtv wips…
#my art#my doodles#discworld#city watch#samuel vimes#sam vimes#havelock vetinari#fun fact! I had literally NO idea what Vetinati’s terrier’s actual breed was when sitting down to draw this sketch#and based on VIBES PURELY I went “hmmmm wouldn’t it be fucking precious if he had a wire fox terrier? and it would fit so well too”#and because it was blackout time and I was too lazy to go borrow some internet and actually check#I fully finished the picture in blissful ignorance#then electricity was back internet was back perfect time to check (not that I was gonna change anything at that point…)#and GUESS FUCKING WHAT!??! mr. google says it IS a wire fox terrier (the first one at least? I’m not that far ahead)#GOOD JOB ME. impeccable character analysis if I do say so myself

hi hello! i don’t usually make posts like this but this image has always intrigued me:
the fact that jeeves is with a poodle, even though it doesn’t appear in the show, is what intrigued me the most. but in retrospect it does make sense. poodles are considered a rather intelligent breed and they love to work. they are/were also bred for waterfowl hunting. now i know waterfowl hunting and fishing are two entirely different things but it does fit! poodles are also known to be well groomed and shit! having jeeves with an intelligent “water breed” makes perfect sense!
i like assigning dog breeds to characters, combining my two favorite things and whatnot, so when i saw this picture it like ignited something in me. i mean the west highland terrier with bertie also makes perfect sense! they are highly sociable, loyal, and quite stubborn.
i just love this photo so much and i think it’s so cute that the dog breeds fit them perfectly! i also like that the dogs coat colours also match with their outfits, like that is so cute!
i am also sorry that this probably doesn’t make sense! i am not that good at writing, so i do apologize if you don’t understand some things.
#jeeves and wooster#i did have an idea for a sorta dog show au so if you want me to share that than holler at me#also i would like to say that these aren’t the breeds i did end up choosing for them#jeeves is a frisian water dog (they are known to have a unique stern expression)#and bertie is a wire fox terrier#reginald jeeves#bertie wooster#again i am sorry if this doesn’t make sense

12th day of daily posting
“If you could have another dog, what would it be? Whenever I talk to my husband about this, the wire fox terrier comes up as a candidate.
In the beginning, I was like, Oh, another terrier? ! ''My husband was surprised, but after seeing the real thing, he said,Jack Russell terriers are good, but wire fox terriers are better.'' ”, my husband also started saying.
But in reality, keeping multiple dogs can be difficult. For someone like me, this is just a dream come true…

Today's Dog: The Wire Fox Terrier! JFK's family had a WFT, and I've actually had the pleasure of meeting one out in the street! They're extremely friendly, small terriers and they have a smooth-coated cousin. WFTs are the winningest dog at Westminster - 15 BIS winners have been WFTs, with Scotties trailing behind at just 8.
Today's Monkee: Words, released on Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn, and Jones Ltd. (1967) This is a Micky and Peter lead, with Mike on guitar. It was written by Boyce and Hart!
