I am really disappointed that the evil Ancestral Witches and Trix collab was used in the second movie. I thought about getting back into writing and start with rewriting season four. Then I remembered that my great idea of the Trix and the Ancestral Witches "collabing" or merging was already done. By the second movie. That I rewatched. The Trix were suddenly so weak? And incompetent? Ignoring the plot holes of the movies, the Winx also take the Trix not as serious as before? It's hard to believe that this happened somehow after season 3.

While I love season 1 to season 3 (I struggle with the Season 4 rn), I noticed the Trix didn't grow in powers like the Winx. Honestly, season 3 makes them look bad. Like hello, Valtor, these are the descendants of the Ancestral Witches. They stole the Dragon Flame powers. They merged into a super witch and challenged Darkar (who should be more powerful than Valtor? I think?).

I don't remember if it's fixed later on, but the Trix and the Ancestral Witches together should've been close to unbeatable.

So, I've once again remembered that all the lore I've gathered about the Ancestral Witches, their powers, theological influence and bloodlines is not canon and I'm currently making a doc filled with the Winx lore I've invented. Was just wondering if there would be any interest in lore dumps?? Thinking about posting a complete history of Andros and its evolution, especially because of the development of witchcraft as a response to harsh climates. This would then follow the creation of witch tribes that develop a system of agriculture, the formation of a mutually beneficial bond, the rise of prejudice against witches because of The Endless War, and then the fall of witchcraft. Is this something y'all would want??

"When the three Ancestral Witches attacked the Magic Dimension..."

The Dragon Flame, the Phoenix Flame and the Water Stars

The Great Dragon was the source of life, light and creation. When it created the galaxy of the magic dimension, its own opposite came to existence – the Shadow Phoenix, embodiment of death, darkness and destruction.

It thought the beauty life holds is outweighed by its torments and life was a mistake, because it is suffering. That’s why it wanted to destroy life and order, until all is one again. To achieve that, it would let everyone suffer, in hopes they get its point.

So, the Great Dragon fought with the Shadow Phoenix and was ultimately able to imprison it in the undergrounds of Magix, just underneath the planets biggest lake. Inside that lake resided a Leviathan, which got chosen as the guard of the Shadow Phoenix and gifted with magic, which could destroy both the magic of the Phoenix and the Dragon.

Giving up this part of its magic, the Great Dragon was exhausted and chose the same planet to rest on, split its magic into nine parts and scattered them across the globe.

Centuries passed, until it felt the end of its life nearing and it decided to give what was left of its magic to the first Fairy, who it had become good friends with. The Fairy turned into the first Keeper of the Dragon Flame.

At the same time, and with the Great Dragon doing his last breath, the Shadow Phoenix burned up, only leaving behind its powers.

Only a few weeks passed and the first three Witches entered the prison of the Shadow Phoenix, discovering the three pieces of the Phoenix Flame. Each of them took one piece and connected with its powers.

With their new powers the three Witches went to fight the Fairy, wanting to take the Dragon Flame away from their younger sister. They defeated her, imprisoning her spirit inside the Timeless Realm, which she had created with the magic of the Dragon Flame. They also put a curse onto the realm turning it into a place untouched by time.

However, the Fairies girlfriend, another Fairy, asked the Leviathan of the lake to help and stop the three Witches, who had achieved immortality. So, the Leviathan gave up its magic, creating five Water Stars and turning itself into the Ice Serpent.

With the Water Stars the Fairy went up against the Witches. She was able to take the flames from them and remove their spirits from their immortal bodies, imprisoning them in the deepest trench of Omega – Oblivion, guarded by the Serpent.

She put the Dragon Flame into the Magical Core of Domino and the three pieces of the Phoenix Flame back into the former prison of the Shadow Phoenix. Locking the power away with the Magic of the Water Stars. Giving those to the Timeless Realm, so her girlfriends spirit would keep them safe.

She herself kept studying the magic of her homerealm, eventually unlocking the grater power within it’s Magical Core and turning into the Nymph of Magical Essence. Ultimately, she found a way to join her girlfriend inside the Timeless Realm, where they formed the Council of Elders – a group of five magic users, who had each achieved something new and great. Each one of them was tasked with the responsibility of keeping one Water Star save from those with malicious intentions.

I just realized - the villains in the show are showing up in a really weird order (only speaking of seasons 1-3 and Secret of the Lost Kingdom).

In my mind it would make more sense if season 2 was for Valtor - maybe he comes out of hinding after 16 years when he heard the Power of the Dragon Flame is back. He has been sent by his creators (the Ancestral Witches) to gather power in order to free them from their imprisionment and bring the Shadow Phoenix back to former power.

He would also be the one turning Bloom into Dark Bloom in order to get a hold of her powers.

Of course he would have gotten Icy and Stormy out of Light Rock Monetary (Darcy refused, wanted to stay and he respected that). He would have given them a piece of the Shadow Flame in order to boost their powers and created the Gloom. (In my mind the Ancestral Witches created him with a spark of the Dragon Flame and a spark of the Shadow Flames).

Everyrhing else would play out similar to season 2. Valtor would just be the one in Darkars Place. And i guess the Pixies wouldn't play as big of a part in the beginning.

Season 3 would then be about the Ancestral Witches and Icy who is the only one of the Trix left, since Stormy stayed in Omega whilest Icy followed the calling of Belladonna and chose to fight on their side. And she gets really mad. In the prozess of gaining enaugh Power she's tapping into Dark Magic and gains Disenchantment (through killing someone).

The Winx Girls would still earn Enchantix and I guess Icy would have to do the main things Valtor does in the show - giving others (mainly Cassandra and Diaspro) what they want in order to help the ancestral Witches get out of their prison.

The Winx (minus Bloom, because her Enchantix is incomplete) get the Water Stars (also Bloom has to stay away from them because they could destroy her power). The Witches get out of their imprisionment. Dark Bloom has a little comeback to because the incomplete Enchantix makes everything weird.

In the end Icy would be defeated in a final fight á la Agni Kai and the Spirits of the Ancestral Witches would get set to rest for good. But! they were able to Reawaken the Shadow Phoenix.

So he would be the last villain for the Winx in my Version of Secret of the Lost Kingdom.

I know this is far from beeing a full-fledged plan - it's just a late night thought i had. It would make so much more sense to me like that because Darkar is the literal Darkness. He should be the big end boss.

I will think more about this and might use it for my AU.

So to summarize and some things to explain:

There are four dragons, each having his/her own element. All of them combined their magic to create light magic, and cus the ancestral witches were born, followed by light being it's opposite, dark magic was created as well.

By having base/main elements (fire, water earth sky, light and dark), wizards, witches and fairies draw their magic from a different source.

That means Flora draws her magic from the Earth drake, Aisha from the water leviathan, witches from the ancestral witches, Musa and Tecna from the Sky wyvern.

Of course 'regular' people that can wield magic have no connection to the main sources (of course there are exceptions like Bloom, the Trix, Valtor, etc)

And before you ask me "Why Musa and Tecna from sky magic? That makes no sense!".

It actually does:

What happens if you walk through the forest when it's windy? The leaves rustle and make noise. What do you need to use a flute for example? Your breath. Air and wind can make noise as well, creating a melody or their own sound.

And techno magic is TECNA-cally (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠) a form of Electro magic. So there ya go.

Light and dark magic is a little different tho. Since it's basically a 'mix' from all the dragons powers, and dark magic is the same, just corrupted. Light/dark magic isn't present in everyone, but everyone that can use magic can learn it, that's why fairies can become dark fairies or witches become light witches.

And about dark magic: just cus it's originally created from the Ancestral witches, it doesn't automatically mean it has to be evil. Telepathy or telekinesis is a form of Psychic magic aka dark magic. Everyone uses it, and it's not evil. The Winx used dark magic in season 2, they are still fine. And Mirta uses dark magic as well, she's not evil.

In some cases, the concentration of dark or light magic is more present in others. Faragonda, Avalon, Darcy and Acheron are good examples. (Icy, Stormy and Valtor aren't on it cus they have elemental power and learned about dark magic. This doesn't mean that they are weaker or stronger, they still have dark magic, but it's just not as present as Darcy who can't use any elements. I also didn't list the Wizards of the black circle since I'm planning to change their powers)

Each dragon also has a 'sub' element, like secondary powers:

Fire has the power of healing and destruction

Sky has spiritual and cosmic powers

Earth has the power of Life and death

Water can control blood and Chi (not in a spiritual meaning, but to become one with your own body since we are made out of 80% water, hope that kinda makes sense)

When it comes to natural opposites

Sky and earth

Fire and water

Light and Darkness

The ancestral witches:

Are the origin of all Darkness (yes ik some say it's Darkar but he's weak af)

So the witches and the Sky wyvern created Darkar from a piece of the dragon flame that they stole

This makes Darkar the fire dragons second natural opposite along with the waterstars

Not only that: when the witches and the wyvern took a part of the flame, a small piece fell into darkness. As the witches fled from the dragons, they found that piece, creating Valtor.

Just like the light fairy, they looked out for others that can harness magic and reached them the ways of dark magic

I would also like to mention that the legend of the four dragons has been forgotten over time. Most people only think that the Great dragon is the only one that existed, and the ones that do know the legend think it's just a myth.

I love how Icy really spits the words "Daphne had to spoil everything" in the German dub. Like "Ughh your goddamn stupid sis had to SPOIL everything! Ehhm hello?? how DARE she?" and i am too... yeah, how dare she!

imagine, how interesting winx could have been if the ancestral witches had won the battle of Domino. The whole dimension would have been under their rule. And maybe some rebels would turn against them. But the witches knew, they had to find the source of power - bloom and get her back to get all of her powers. sounds familiar? Well, that's basically what W.i.t.c.h. did. ����

But just imagine! The company of light could have played a way bigger role! And the Trix would have been raised to be heirs to the ancestral witches and might have wanted to overthrow them at some point. And then there was the race against time between good and evil who would find bloom first. And when we're already talking about W.i.t.c.h. - a group of young fairies find her first by accident - they later form the Winx. And they become friends but they don't tell Bloom anything to not put her in danger and then the ancestral witches find her and, like Phobos and Cedric did with Elyon, convince her, that her friends betrayed her.... yeah forget it, that would totally be the W.i.t.c.h. plot. 😂

Trix Week | Day 3 - Backstory for the Trix

I'M FINALLY DONE WITH DAY 3 AAAAGGHHHGHGHG

so uh. Their backstories... kinda sad. In few words: their fanilies were killed by the same organization because they were descendants of the Ancestral Witches. The organization is called The Order of Goodness and Light, whose goal is literally destroy every reminder of the Ancestral Witches 🙄)...

the family of Tharma's descendants disappeared long time ago, but few still carried her blood here and there. All of them were hunt down and killed. Stormy's mom had to ran away from her home planet as far as she could get, but was found nd killed anyway. But nobody knew that she had a child that she left at some orphanage, that's how Stormy survived.

Liliss' blodline was also lost at some point, but not long ago one of her descendants found out about their roots and tried to build the family back. They knew the Order is looking for them, but they were good at hiding. Unfortunately, the Order found them too, adn instead of trying to attack the family poenly, they planted something you can call a time bomb - a curse that was slowly corrupting the magic of their Home, killing everyone who stayed there long enough.

Only Belladonna's descendants never lost their roots, always honored the rules she wrote for them many centuries ago. They were really strong, their Home was protected better then some royal palaces and each generation had at least 3-4 children. The Order was hunting and killing them for at least 400 years, but for each killed they were loosing few of their people, it was almost like a real war. But in the end they were able to kill (almost) all of the main family in one day, only two choldren survived, Isolde who was in Magix at that moment, and Icy, because her magic was underdeveloped at that moment and she wasn't found. Then to find and kill the rest was much easier for the Order.

The Order doesn't know about Stormy's connection to Tharma, but they know about Icy and Darcy, and watch every their step, but don't interfere, letting the Winx handle them and hoping that they'll die in one of their fights.

Initially, every time I redesigned this form, I never found something. I was happy with because I honestly really like the designs from the show even though they’re very unpopular only thing I would change is make it mirror enchantix a little bit more

Ok but what if trix killed their parents

I've been thinking and like, in canon, they are the DESCENDANTS of the 3 ancient witches, not their reincarnations, so they came from somewhere. No parent ever came looking for them. They'd still need parental consent forms to go to Cloud Tower. So why not just kill em in some fucked up ritual. They did it sometime in their second year prolly. Honestly I thought abt it being a secret but they could have staged it as an accident so yeah, Griffin knows they lost their parents- (YOOOO MAYBE THAT'S WHY SHE'S SO LIGHT ON THEM AND DOESN'T EXPEL THEM WAY EARLIER SHE WAS SAD FOR THREE POOR ORPHANS- yo I love it when the bacteria in my head just connect shit). RIVEN PROBABLY WENT TO THE GRAVE WITH DARCY. (my other option for trix was to have them be THE ancient witches- not even reborn or reincarnated, just reassembled- but that adds an EXTREMELY dark turn for riven and although I would love to steal from shadow and bone and have someone tell him "She isn't a girl at all. She is eternal. And you never stood a chance" it kinda messes with my other HCs about them so that's it's own, separate thing. Stranger danger riven.)

Winxtober Day Five: Unity

Stuff happened and I got a little behind on my prompts Lmao

Anyways these are Elitix, canonly the ancestral witches renamed because I didn't want them all to be witches/the way Valtor works wouldn't be functional if Belladonna wasn't a fairy, in their emblemix/charmix!

I know the real reason the Ancestral Witches act in perfect unity is because the writers didn't give enough of a shit to give them different personalities but I thought it would be cute for them in my rewrite to have no clear leadership and for them to act in harmony with each other. Perfect teamwork and friendship from the worst people you know

I fused them with other characters bc they don't have personalities so Politea and Belladonna are the same person, Tharma and Zatura, and Arthur and Liliss. Mostly so I'd have a place to start when designing them that wasn't the Trix but old

Belladonna is in the middle bc she's the most narratively relevant for Icy and Valtor related reasons, and if you're wondering what's up with her hair she's from the same planet as Riven. Their hair is just like that

ok, so

the Ansetral Witches - Belladonna, Liliss and Thamara - were triplets, which is why coven menbers now are treated like siblings (why Icy, Darcy and Stormy call each other sisters)

but it also happens, the Ancestral Coven gets "followers", who are always a coven of three Witches as well. This is how it comes; Witches are seen as evil.

The Ancestrals are able to reach powerful Witches minds and guide them, even tho they are stuck in Oblivion.

The three coven Witches before the Trix were -

Mandragora, who mastered the use of Dark Magic, thus became the Dark Witch of Chaos

Kalshara, who mastered the use of Wild Magic, which made her the Witch of Wild Magic

and Lady Griffin

Griffin was able to block Liliss out of her mind and left their Coven when the other two created Valtor, which was only shortly before Jotunn was destroyed and Domino cursed. She's also Darcy's mother.
