A brightly purple wrapped package would arrive at the mercenary’s place of residence. Inside, Mar would find a -very- promiscuous set of undies, and a note beneath. “Ha! The real gift is in the secret compartment below. Just don’t use it on me.” - A And indeed there was a secondary gift hidden away: A large whetstone with dozens of tubes across its surface along side a second note. “This whetstone will never run out. I call it the Neverending Mobstopper. Happy Winter Veil, Mar” - A

The present was given to her by the Innkeeper of the Tavern she had rented a room in for the last three days and even thought usually the Innkeeper would just hand her her letters without anything more on their face but mild annoyance, when the Innkeeper handed Mar the package that was wrapped so brightly purple it almost hurted in the eyes to look at, they were grinning like a cheshire cat would grin: “Now that does not look like your usual packages! Did you got friends hidden somewhere?”

The Halforc gifted the Innkeeper with nothing but a heavy frown that drew a long line between her thick eyebrows as she took the package from the other and wordlessly, her freckled ear moving up and down like the ears of a confused animal, left for her chamber. The room was small, with nothing but a tiny writingdesk, a wooden chest for her belongings and a bed inside while through the one window a thick line of wintersunlight, as pale as snow, drew a white streak along the wall to the bed. The frown was still on Mars freckled face when she sat down at the edge of her bed in her chamber, but it had turned more perplex and curious then leery. Carefully, as if she was a child at winters Veil she lifted the package to one side of her head and shaked it gently to hear if something was moving inside, when she heard nothing the frown became heavier. Carefully, slowly, she opned the package and peeled inside so leerily as if she was expecting snakes jumping out of it right into her face the next second. 

And found the undies. 

“What the Fu-”, biting her lips so hard that the young woman tasted blood, Mar turned the package around and let its inside tumble out on her bed: “-Light?!”

And then, like a jewel on a mountain of dirt, the whetstone with the note landed on top of the heap. 

I want to kiss Anton for that present. 

Stop this, the young woman scolded herself strictly in her mind: What are you?! A stupid child with a crush?!

Instead the Halforc just took the wethstone, set the small note on the desk in her chamber and, sitting on her bed with cheeks blushing so black they looked like obsidian,  edged her sword.
