Here's a drawing I made for an event I saw on cara called frostbite tales. This is for this week's prompt Winterdust Fairy.

I'm really happy with how this one turned out, I'm really happy with the contrast which is something I struggle with when it comes to doing digital art. So, I'm happy I made some progress.

Also, it only took me 30 minutes longer than the last and it looks so much better!

i didn’t have time to post this on tumblr before christmas lol … but here’s a drawing of my oc liv wearing a christmas outfit ⭐️🎄(and also my first full drawing using oil pastels!!)

So i mentioned that i wanted to draw something for xmas this year but as i predicted, i was super busy and also didnt really feel motivated to draw anything... but i had the vision of olivia wearing a christmas themed lolita dress and i couldn't just not draw it 😔 so here it is! i really liked working with oil pastels, though i will admit i still have to learn a lot! but i really liked the result especially because of the texture it gave to the drawing<3 it's a shame pictures don't do it justice, istg my traditional art always looks better irl 🥲

Here’s an intro about Scarlett, my OC who’s the “Gerda” of my Snow Queen story. I've drawn her just a couple of times before bc there had been hardly any progress on story-writing, but I guess I'm getting the hang of it only now😅

🌹❄️ Her story: Scarlett is the childhood friend of “Kai” (I haven’t decided what to name him yet), and she has a warm, determined and studious personality. After the two are separated, she goes on a quest to not just save her friend but also break the mirror’s curse itself once and for all, which she gradually learns about via books and ancient tales as her adventure progresses. Some years later, “Kai”, who seems to somehow know the amnesiac Snow Queen (aka the Winter Girl), teams up with her to end the still existing curse while searching for his friend Scarlett, who he believes is still there somewhere- the same way Scarlett had done for him. But what has happened to her during the years between? And how is she connected to the Lady of Winter?

I’m trying to work on stylized anatomy consistency, and I’m not sure if my portrayal of a tall early teen is accurate enough, but I think it looks okay overall.🖌

She’s a half elf half…? From the frozen north, specifically a village of snow elves. They are incredibly spiritual and dedicated to bringing the world joy and keeping the peace. She becomes one of these missionary joy bringers in adulthood and is chosen by a spirit she doesn’t know the name of…only the feeling it gives her- of devastating grief and overwhelming nostalgia and warmth

The snow leaves are the center of a winter Holiday where spirit riders Mount their reindeer hippogriffs and speed around the world with massive amounts of toys in various bags of holding.
