Канун Йоля — это время, когда магия достигает своего пика. Вечер, наполненный ожиданием, когда каждый звук кажется особенным, а каждый шорох — предвестником чуда. Сменила темные украшения Самайна на Йольские, разные веточки вечнозеленых деревьев, ягоды и свечи нежных голуб��х тонов. Мой дорогой папа, с его ловкими руками и добрым сердцем, сделал для меня чудесный подсвечник, который теперь гордо занимает свое место на подоконнике. Я с нежностью и трепетом расставляю свечи и украшения, отражающие смену сезонов. Погода нас щадит и на этой неделе +8°С , так что уловить зимнее дыхание можно лишь с утра и ближе к ночи. Снега не было и по всей вероятности не предвидится, так что нас ждет "зеленое Рождество". "Все духи вновь бегут на Дикую Охоту! В самую длинную ночь в году всё устремится к завершенью, умрет и возродится вновь — и колесо даст новый оборот"

Yuletide is over, which means it's the perfect time to share my Yule altar

I really only dress my altar up for winter solstice, so here it is! It’s more wishful thinking than anything because I live in Florida and this is the only time of year my altar doesn’t represent that.

Beneath the waning light of a Southern sun, there stands a chapel, long abandoned and yet full of whispers. Its stained glass burns with forgotten stories, fractured by time and the weight of those who linger.

Among these ghosts, both of the past and of the present, there are two figures whose lives are woven into the very marrow of this place: Silas, with a heart heavy yet unyielding, and Gideon, whose quiet presence cuts sharper than words. Their bond is etched deep, as much a part of the chapel as its crumbling stone and creeping ivy.

Silas is the dreamer, though his dreams often tread the line between prayer and lament. He carries the kind of weight that makes silence speak volumes. Gideon is his shadow, a constant in a world that seems determined to shift beneath them both. They are bound together by something unspoken, something that cannot be named yet lingers in every glance, every step taken side by side.

The chapel is not just a backdrop—it is a character in itself, a keeper of secrets. In its halls, echoes of loss and love intertwine, and the air is thick with the ache of something almost remembered. Here, the light and the dark are not enemies but kin, and the line between them blurs in the stories that unfold.

This is not a tale of salvation, nor is it a tale of despair—it is both and neither. It is about the weight of love and the shadows it casts, about the quiet spaces where words fail but connection persists. It is about Silas and Gideon, and the ways in which their lives touch the divine, the profane, and everything in between.

The Chapel of the Forgotten Sun is a hymn to the things we carry, the things we lose, and the things that refuse to let us go.
