This Primitivo di Manduria Antica Maserria del Sigillo 2014 was ranked by @wine_spectator as part of their Top 100 list (worldwide)! This imported Italian red wine was an excellent find! It’s jammy, opulent, full bodied, big, and balanced. The finish is long, smooth, and velvety, leaving behind traces of dark berries, plum, and sweet cherries. Easily one of my new favorite primitivos—and Wine Spectator agrees, ranking it with a score of 90! I found this bottle at @Costco for only $11.99! 2013 Line 39 Pinot Noir. This one was a wild card, and I'm pleasantly surprised!! This gem of a bottle is smooth in texture, has hints of raspberry and cherry, and leaves its mark with a mild finish. South Coast Winery 2016 Chardonnay Sans Chéne. Okay... this is good!! I was pleasantly surprised by this Chardonnay, especially since Temecula is more known for its Cabernet, Syrah, Viognier, and sweet sparkling wines. Fun fact-- Temecula was heavily planted with Chardonnay vines in the '90s but lost more than 200 acres of it due to Pierce's Disease back in '99. I'm happy to see that Temecula wineries are making a come back and producing some quality Chardonnay!!
