The Winery Dogs "III"

Torna el trio la-la-la amb el seu 3r àlbum d'estudi, amb un títol que no deixa cap dubte.

Aquests Músics, no poden decebre mai, com és el cas d'aquest "III". En contraposició a Smith/Kotzen, en una vesant més roquera, aquí se'ns mostra un Kotzen, amb Sheehan i Portnoy, més intimista, apropant-se més als seus projectes, inclòs Mr. Big, com és l'exemple del single "Mad World" o "Breakthrough". Analitzant-lo a-la meva, com no, aquests 2 temes arriben massa aviat (2n i 3r respectivament) fent-te despistar, musicalment, del que al final serà aquest treball. Fem parada en el poderós "Rise", al més pur estil Kotzen, per caure en un "Stars" que ben bé podria ser de l'època del "What Is", seguit de "The Vengeance", amb tornada poppie. No és fins "Pharaoah", el frenètic "Gaslight", amb vers a doble bombo i la cloenda "The Red Wine" a modo de jam, on gaudim del groove d'aquest power-trio. Entre mig d'aquestes 3 bombes, un descans amb el 'soulero' "Lorelei".

Bon treball, en la línia, on 3/4 temes podrien ser prescindibles.
