    on occasion ,   giorno struggles with silence .   there had been an overwhelming abundance of it in his earliest years ;   myriad   sleepless nights   ticking by agonizingly slowly as he trembled like a   windstruck leaf   in the haunting darkness of his bedroom   ━━━━   entirely alone in a house fostering   trauma   in every corner ,   the sole opponent to the deprivation of his senses manifesting in the creak of the bedframe rattling beneath his quivering body .   then ,   giorno wished for reprieve from the numbing soundlessness ,   the empty space that allowed for his troubled mind to race so far ahead of him that he couldn’t hope to apprehend it .   

    yet ,   as he got older ,   it was only silence that made for a   shallow sliver of peace   to be stolen after hours of verbal   &   physical violence at the hands of a faux - patriarch .   the spirit of rebellion that sparked from the ashes of his torched resolve gave him wings to flee ,   to find someplace to   debrief   from constantly being at war with every aspect of his own life .   his quick wit carried him to pockets of the city where he would be unfound   &   undisturbed ,   granting him an opportunity rest in nature’s embrace   &   allow his battered brain to   just be empty   for a while .   despite those days falling further   &   further into the past ,   giorno still takes refuge in these venues of escape ,   though they embody different meanings now that he is not   running from anything .

    reimi’s question calls to mind this convoluted history ,   though the gentle sway of the marina beneath where they’re perched unseen on the rocky cliffside   &   the comfortable wordlessness they need not forcibly fill yields no grief from giorno .   contrarily ,   there’s a sense of tranquility that envelopes him ,   &   he fosters cognizance that the golden - hearted girl at his side is its source . 

    “   you can think of it as one of my childhood hiding places ,   ”   he answers ,   the gentle curve to petal - pink lips deepening slightly as a mild breeze tousles his golden hair ,   loose from its typical neat plait in a rare display .   perhaps this much is obvious ,   considering the   difficulty   two adult - sized individuals may encounter trying to reach it   ━━━━   but giorno had never been one to shy away from using his stand for even the smallest of adventures .   challenges notwithstanding ,   the view is certainly worth the trouble ;   the sun sparkles over the water as if fistfuls of diamonds are scattered from a generous hand ,   vessels strewn about aquamarine like   brushstrokes of freedom   on a boundless canvas ,   the line where the sky   &   sea connect a seamless gradient amid daylight’s effulgence .

    giorno thinks he can appreciate it   more ,   now that he is here because he   wants to be ,   rather than needing to be .   &   reimi’s presence only serves to enhance that gratitude .

    “   it’s nice to be here with something of a clear head ,   ”   murmurs giorno ,   eyes seeking the light of reimi’s face ,   a mild countenance casting a fond look in her direction .   “   i’m glad you came with me today ,   reimi - chan .   ”

Porque ya van muchas veces en las que demuestran ser algo cercanos, porque hace contacto físico con ella de forma innecesaria, habla con ella por whatsapp, le cuenta cosas que hablé con él y parece estar pendiente de ella

Y a ver, él también es una persona muy demostrativa, social y sensible. No solo con ella se le escapa la lengua y eso me molesta en general de una persona, no estoy de acuerdo con eso, no me gusta eso... una relación es de dos solamente

Previously on "Meta on Tally Judging You":

tl;dr Tally writes people off who slight her. The most notable examples are her mother, Gerit, and Alder (as well as Abigail and Raelle a couple of times).

I've found a new interesting example! In 1x2, a civilian shoves Glory, blames witches for the Spree attacks, then tries to lay hands on Tally. We are then told that Tally windstruck him all the way across the restaurant, in contrast to her inability to attack Anacostia earlier that day, and Tally's own insecurity over that.

At the party at the end of the episode, Tally not only feels zero mortification over having attacked a civilian (against explicit military protocol), the incident reaffirms her determination to be a soldier, her love of Fort Salem as a place for witches alone (and not humans). And, she says this: "These are terrible times. The people we were sworn to protect don't trust us."

Tally wrote that man off, and by extension all civilians who don't trust them. I feel like this has a lot of illuminating implications over how Tally went from such passionate diatribes against Spree attacks in the early eps to her determined defense of Nicte.

There is an extent to which Tally's zeal makes her a more possible recruitment candidate for defection than Raelle. Raelle stuck with the military despite her negative feelings about it (taking more after Edwin than Willa in that sense), but Tally is someone who could jump across the horseshoe with the right circumstances. (Within the show, it's Raelle and Abigail's reticence to leave the military which tether Tally, preventing her from going totally off the rails, like the limits on what she learns from Nicte in S3.)

How many times have you felt that tear on your throat? Painful lump inside your neck.

First time, when I was 7 years old.

Arielle gave me this tear at the part where he was saying goodbye to King Triton. My grandfather smiled at me.

Second, while watching Windstruck.

That part where the ghost of Jeon Jhi Yun's fiancé told her "Someday you'll meet someone who has the same soul as mine." (Dunno if I remember the exact lines)

I also experience it twice as an adult.

First, I got shocked. I did not know that initiation hurts.

Second, a hopeful beautiful closure. I just don't like that even conceding is not mine. That voice in my head wasn't mine but that's what I want.

I was holding on to myself and finding solution to my demon after that. Nobody told him to stop following me at work. I work like you. I only come close when work is necessary. Too difficult. I only know how to be kind. It's difficult when they bullied you because, you can only be kind.

also the way it balances making death from the imminent threat feel very excapeable and uncertain, like maybe if sally ran a little faster or franklin was a bit braver they at least could escape leatherface or not get involved with the sawyers

While also make death as a whole feel completely fixed, immutable, and certain; after the moment sally stepped into that windstruck cabin she could have gone literally anywhere in the country and she would have found drayton waiting there to semi sooth her back in to compliance

i like the use of chainsaws in the titular texas massacre because it really lets the viewer know that no matter how primitive and even animalistic the sawyers may seem they are decidedly not some weird atavistic remnant only able to exist by their living so far removed from the civilized world but are in fact just as objectively citizens of the (then) contemporary world as the kids and their astrology magazines and ford vans

Speaking of depressing songs, BK Love by MC Sniper used to be one of the songs I listened to a lot after I watched Windstruck back in college. This scene from the movie used the vibe of the song so damn well that I cried like a toddler.

Yes I am aware that the meaning of the lyrics is not the same same as the movie but the it captured the broken heart of the FL so damn well that even to this day, over 10 years later after first watching the movie, I am still HOWLING when I’m reminded of it.

Still one of the most memorable movies to me.

Strange dreams contemplate Donna to fulfill David's dream to sleep with her on their second anniversary together, until her parents show up for a surprise visit.

Meanwhile, Brandon returns from San Francisco where he learns about the Steve's botch break-in, who finds himself left in cold after Mike Ryan and the rest of the frat members reject him. Only John Sears remains sympathetic to Steve and tries to help. But when Brandon learns and relays to Steve that the campus police were anonymously tipped off to Steve's break-in, Steve realizes that Sears had set him up.

In the meantime, Brandon plays hardball with the corrupt Professor Randall to drop the break-in charges against Steve by threatening to go public about him rigging test scores for D'Shawn and other basketball stars to they can play basketball for the university.

Elsewhere, Andrea falls deeply in love with Jesse.

Also, John Sears continued wooing of Kelly only pushes her back to Dylan.

The kiss pic above came up in an search for something else entirely, but it had no source info. My best guess was Jang Hyuk and Jun Ji-Hyun and it turns out they did a movie together called Windstruck, but I haven’t seen it. 

If so... Jun Ji-Hyun is brilliant and I’m also a Jang Hyuk fan (his portrayal of Lee Bang-Won in My Country: The New Age was incredible). But for feck’s sake, if that IS him, is he trying to eat her face off? Remove her entire jaw?  Is this a hungry zombie situation? It’s concerning.

EDIT: A lovely kdrama fan has said this is more likely a shot from Iris 2, with Jang Hyuk and Lee Da-Hae. Mystery solved (probably). Love the brilliance of the hive mind!
