I love how it’s obvious that the classic “Winchester sass” actually runs through the Campbell bloodline.

John isn’t sassy. John is just a brash, angry, explosive idiot. His name takes so much claim that is actually his wife’s that it’s almost getting annoying lmao. Mary birthed the greatest heroes of the realms and she’ll always be forgotten, a single pin in a story of endless seas of pins. The first one, sure, but nowhere near monumental to anyone but the Winchesters. She’s just a set piece, a footnote, despite the fact that without her none of this would happen.

like I'm sorry, but their family has about a million mirrors to the winchesters that I find endlessly interesting, plus at least one season with them navigating life now that Max kind of has a time limit and Alicia is only alive for as long as he is bc of his new magic, AND the fact that Max can literally control her and and and

idk I know that at this point in time with the show the quality in writing and overall production was only getting worse but GOD what I wouldn't give for a spin off show where Max has to face what happened and wonder whether that's still his sister or not etc etc

Every now and then I think about the failed spn spinoff they were going to call "Supernatural: Bloodlines" and how outraged I was it never happened

I was watching that pilot ep (9x20 I think?) with my friend and I just kept going "why is it so different this is it's own show" BECAUSE IT WAS! AND IT WAS INTERESTING! AND I WAS ROBBED I NEVER GOT TO SEE RIVAL MONSTER GANGS AND A NEW HUNTER FIND OUT HIS FAMILY SECRETS!

As one can tell I am more than normal about this but I miss what never was tails i miss it a lot

Twilight x Supernatural crossover

So I'm currently watching the Twilight Saga for the first time (better than I thought they would be!), and in Breaking Dawn P.1 we finally see Bella's stepdad up close at her dream wedding, and guess who it is...

It's Benny (aka the wonderful Ty Olsson)!!!

And, the Twilight saga canonically exists in supernatural, as learnt by Deans's remark before making vamp kebab in S5xE03.

So, in this lovely universe, this man plays not one but TWO vampires,

Benny Lafitte,

and Eli the vamp in season 2,

But is also the stepfather of Bella Swan, and the step father-in-law to Edward Cullen himself. This man is swimming in vamps.

So essentially there are 3 men who look very much alike in the supernatural timeline, and each end up doing vamp stuff.

Supernatural S9E20: A Tangent

I need to rant about this. I'm in the middle of a rewatch of Supernatural, my 5th? But my husband's 1st. We watched s9e20 'Bloodlines' tonight.

(Small synopsis of this episode is Ennis witnesses his gf be murdered by a hunter who is trying to start a war between the 5 monster families that control Chicago (really gives mafia vibes), Dean and Sam show up investigating, there is also a forbidden love between a shifter and a werewolf, ultimately Sam and Dean leave when Cas calls about Metatron, the episode closes out with Ennis getting a mysterious phonecall from his father who is supposed to be dead telling him not to hunt or the monsters will kill him...very ominous)

Now, in all of my rewatches I've never seen the entire show through because i was only rewatching what was on Netflix and I haven't rewatched since the show finishes. And I could be wrong, but my memory is telling me that they never pick this story back up? Did they really leave all this untapped potential?

The guest stars for this episode were phenomenal and the plot could have driven a seriously epic drama. I can imagine a spinoff of this episode, it could fuel an entire new TV show. I know wayward daughters was shot down but where's the Bloodlines pilot???

If anyone has any good fic recs based on this episode throw them at me cause I will eat it up.

Tldr; s9e20 Bloodlines was amazing and should have been taking better advantage of
