My Fire Emblem: Three Houses/Hopes OCs.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses is one of my biggest fandoms ever, generally speaking Fire Emblem is probably one of the only fandoms I'd consider myself to be in or have ever been in. Everything else, I feel like i'm more on the outside of things I like, not as into it as people who are "in fandom" are or have since grown uninterested in. Even for things I barely enjoy sometimes I like to make OCs for the universe just for fun cuz I enjoy it as a writing experience and an expression of creativity so of course I have made my fair share of OCs set in the Three Houses universe.
Tumblr media
Xel is a young woman from Duscur who witnessed her fathers death at the hands of Dimitri when he participated in the genocide of her people. She is the last living member of her bloodline, even family friends were all killed who were of Duscur. She was forced to live on her own as a child, ending up fighting in the shadey underground arena of Fargus where the allegedly civilized nobles came to bet on what warrior would win or lose in bloody combat. She took some merc work from time to time the arena tiring on her soul but eventually it was at the Arena where she met the two women who would lead to her going to the officers Academy, Catherine and Cornella. At the arena she also got into sex work as she got older having people asking for a night with the buff warrior woman and accepting the money given her dire need for it.
Xel has a total contempt for Faerghus as a nation and wishes to see it burn to ashes regardless of who's hands it is at. However, her rage and cynical side stay mostly hidden as she attempts her best to present as feminine, delicate and soft. Xel is a trans woman who was accepted by her family and culture but lost her resources and acceptance with the death of her people. She was already not keen on fighting and wished to study magic but instead had to hone her arms for the arena becoming a world class brawler. Still she attempted to present feminine and did her best to salvage for what she could to continue a transition. She is my most dysphoric trans OC and often finds herself struggling between what she is good at and what she wants to be.
Tumblr media
Xel is childhood friends with Byleth, both of whom were young and trans and met up together with their partners both seeking to support their child who knew their gender early. Xel's mother was a merc who had worked with Jearlt a few times so they had let the two have play dates and spend as much time as they could stationed there together. Xel learned Archery from her mother as well as the fundamentals of how she would later fight with her fists while she got her inspiration for magic from her studious father who worshiped the spirits and saw magic as a means to be closer to him.
She ended up working in the same company as Shez for some time before returning to the Arena making her connected to both mercs. Her connection to Cornelia started as a private engagement in sex work, a rare woman who wanted the lesbian and actually treated her as a woman. Cornelia assisted in funding her stay at the officers academy while Catherine was impressed with her skills in the arena and recommend her to the school getting her enrolled. Catherine see's Xel as a potential apprentice who can carry on her legacy whenever that time came although Xel disinterest in the faith troubles her.
I am still exploring Xel's arc and where it might go, she may get a buff to her faith magic spell list after some experiments from Cornelia who wants to take her as a long term lover once she can get her ascended to a higher status. Xel has her heart set on Byleth and Shez but Shez wants Byleth dead and it places her in a very complicated situation. Xel is a Black Eagle but the older women in her life both eventual enemies of Edelgard. Xel is in school with the boy who murdered her peace loving father and can barely contain her rage around him. A lot of fun hooks are set for her in the future.

From my sweet girl with a lot of potential paths, let's go to my most problematic gal of the batch Queen Arte of the Agarthians. Sister of Epimenides the twins were equal in skill and talent but differed in their abilities. Epimenides was a master of magic and power while Arte crafted the shapeshifting and stealth of her people which would become vital after Serios's bloody retaliation to her people's fight for freedom from the dragons. Arte is mostly hands off with Those Who Slither In The Dark allowing them their actions across Fodlan given they advance her eventual goal of reclaiming the surface. She however, does not trust Thales and excepts his eventual betrayal in a power play for her throne simply awaiting one wrong move to kill him and remove him all together from the chest board.
Arte is one of Shez's mothers and the reason for Arval's creation inside of her. Publicly she wished for her brothers return but truthfully Arval was created to be a thing capable of removing her brother from the table all together. Arte did not want her brother competing for her position in power nor to share it equally. However, the woman she paired with not knowing that she never intended to have their daughter consumed by her brother ran away with Shez hoping to let her grow up and be her own person. Arte would hunt down her former lover but wouldn't find Shez until she was a young adult.
Arte is a morally complex character who mostly cares for power but does wish for the best future for her people and does not want wanton human death either seeing any worshiper of the church as tainted and worthy of death but anyone who doesn't worship Serios as a lost sibling to her own people. The culture in Agartha is complicated, there is a mix of freedoms and oppression that suit Arte's grand design. Queerness is allowed, there is no poverty, there is public education but also the nation requires a lot of the people's bodies and lives in service to the continued existence of their people. She's intended to mirror Rhea in a lot of ways.

Taking a break from Slithering to talk about Zara my first major Three Houses OC that I used in a short lived Three Houses roleplay. Zara came after my first OC idea was rejected and I cooked up this terrible disaster instead. She has an OC crest, the crest of Herzefeld. Zara von Herzefeld is a mixed race Almyrian and Lester woman. She was raised in secret by her mother who hide her pregnancy from the noble man who had on some nights taken to her before she moved away near the border. In a little town Zara was raised, a happy girl but her crests healing abilities manifested, something that her mother would beg for her to suppress. Yet, one day a friend of Zara's was injured and she healed them, they told everyone about her powers and rumors came that someone else had the Crest of Herzefeld. So her father came to town. Her mother was killed for keeping her secret and Zara was taken in, given a cover story and raised by the man who killed her mother.
Zara at first tried to rebel, tried to fight back but she couldn't defeat the older war tested man even if he was mostly a healer. Then she tried to run away but his men would always catch her and he would get more agressive eventually having shackles placed on her. The reality was Zara was a valuable asset. He had failed to pass a crest onto any heir so he simply pretended he had non but he had, many, many children and non had gained the crest, so Zara had to be the answer. Eventually Zara learned to play him, to be the perfect daughter for her father with an intention, a goal, to kill him one day, not just kill him but to tear away his legacy, to ruin his family, to end nobility itself, she wanted to see it all in flames. In secret she studied fire magic but actively she practiced faith magic. Zara was set to be married off but convinced her father to wait until after she graduated the officers academy and that she would go hunting for a proper man of even higher status she might be able to seduce to bring their family higher wealth and power. He agreed but assured her he would keep his looking for suitors. Her father knows Zara's attraction solely lays with women but he cared not about that, never seeing her as more than an object to be used. Although in the time he started to truly see her as a daughter, as Zara stroked his ego and made him think they were ever more alike, he even began to search for whispers of young women in noble families perhaps looking for a mistress or ones his daughter might be able to take. Yet, it still was mostly to twist his own ego. Ultimately the goal remained the same and he'd do anything to get her to fill his goals even the worst things one could imagine.
Tumblr media
Zara's personal skill allows her to gain extra damage when she does not heal an injured ally in rage and instead attacks with her fire magic. This represents her hatred of the noble class she is at school with at the Officers Academy and those of positions of power. She is in school the year before the Events of Three Houses, the same year Monica was enlisted and therefore lacks connection to most of the cast until the war begins regardless of Houses or Hopes timelines. Regardless of the timeline, the intended route for her as a character is to kill her father, join Edelgard but have some friction in her wanton desire for violence. Zara is unlikely to drop the guise though that she is a simple cleric stereotype, one who loves her friends and wants to heal everyone and that she is devote although in truth she hates the church nearly as much as the nobility. Can Zara be fixed, be open, will she end her path concluding that she too is a noble and must also face her own fires? I'm not sure I didn't get to explore everything but I really think she is a fun compelling character and I think about her often.
Tumblr media
The final two face of my batch of Three Houses women. Heca is an Agrathian woman sent to live deep undercover by Queen Arte as a young Noble to be her spy on both Edelgard and Thales. To Thales she is a report on Edelgard but to Edelgard she is a noble she has no idea has any ties to Thales she's known since they were young. To Arte though she is here to ensure Thales stays in line although she is rarely ever to report to him only giving him updates every few moons. Heca is Kronya's girlfriend, they started dating young but were called apart when Heca was sent off due to her amazing aptitude for shapeshifting and roleplaying. She contained no other magical talent, unlike most Agarthians she had no magical aptitude at all except in her ability to shapeshift, even requiring a mystic stone crafted by Arte to do the Agthain's signature warp. Heca happily agreed to sign up having thought herself and the Agrathan's as future liberators of human kind of the churches oppression, it being pitched to her and many others of the nation as a means of giving liberation to the people to let them live as they were at the cost of the lives of those in power and those who would defend them. That they would end Sexism, Homophobia, and more that the Church created and placed in man.
Heca is a Wyvern Rider, something she hides from others in her role as a Student and noble, she saved a young Wyvern's life who was at the edge of the underground when her and Kronya were playing exploring the limits of where they were allowed to go and she nursed her back to health. Since then her and Medusa have forever been linked together. Medusa flies near where ever Heca works ready to be her escape at any time an the two meet in secret to play and enjoy each others company. She is a firm believer in Queen Arte and in the Agarthian cause but she feels bad for spying against Edelgard as a fellow queer woman, she has no love for Thales and hopes one day Arte will give her the order and let her kill him so Edelgard can be free of him but she is a good solider so she doesn't. When Shez appears at the monastery her goals are expanded to observing her and the Ashen Demon and to learn more about both their abilities by Arte.
Tumblr media
Heca for her role was given to a noble man who's wife and daughter had died in a crest beast attack, "revived from the dead" before anyone even knew they were dead other than him. Arte gleefully positioned herself a necromancer when in truth they had simply extracted his dead daughters Crest of Earnest and placed it insider of Heca and Heca's exceptional abilities allowed her to copy the daughters memory and personality. Heca understands the weight of her deception but there a small loss of ethics in the grand scheme of the goals, in the end the man who believes her to be her daughter would likely need to be killed in order for Agatha to flourish above anyway. Although Heca advocated for the idea he may remain loyal given they had given back his daughter so long as she continued to live her life as his daughter until his natural death.
Heca begins to struggle with faith in her queen as she finds more of what Those Who Slither In The Dark had done through Kronya and as she finds more and more people who might need to be sacrificed she cares about. Her arc has her strugglingly between loyalties, realities, believes and dreams never totally sure that the path she choses is right and knowing every choice has the potential to hurt someone she loves.
Tumblr media
That will do it for now, I considered talking about the Three Houses version of my OC Lena but I did talk about my longer term roleplay with here over here which was in my Thirsty Sword Lesbians campaign Four Houses, so not in Fodlan but a world with it's own lore and stuff but she was a very similar type of character as a Three Houses OC although not as important to the world as she is in Four Houses.
I hope you enjoyed this look at my OCs, if you like it you can always shoot me some cash over at patreon or ko-fi which helps me be alive so I can cook up new OCs and share them with the world, sometimes in the form of stories or as art in TTRPGs or as comic characters or whatever. I am deeply curious if if fandom inspired OCs are something that tickles people's fancies and if it is, what world should I cook up OCs for that you'd like to see me bake some lesbians in?

john mulaney voice:  Hey... What's [this story] is a lot LONGER than I first thought. that being said, this chapter itself is shorter than the others.
Before Tubbo could say anything, Tommy was in the air, a trail of smoke from his firework left behind. He held a sword in hand and flew towards where the summoned monsters were. As he reached them, Tommy saw another Hermit also in the air. “Scar? Did you summon these?”
“What?! I would never. I thought it was you or Grian!” The mayor responded, offended that Tommy would think such a thing of him.
“No way. How about we take care of them before we figure out who made them.” Tommy suggested and Scar nodded, the two of them diving at the withers, getting their attention and drawing their fire. It went well. Though there were three withers firing at the two of them, Scar and Tommy focused on damaging one of the three while dodging the rest of the attacks. When they killed the first one, Tommy dove to grab the nether star. He caught it before it reached the ground, but it was close enough he could see the damaged terrain. Another hermit was below, sword out as they fought someone with an axe. Someone Tommy recognized.
The wither sounds above filtered into Tommy’s mind as he remembered before. Back on the SMP. “You want to be a hero Tommy? Then die like one!” He didn’t realize his grip on the nether star loosen, or the fact that he was currently plummeting to the ground. “Chaos!” He was trying to find everyone. Where had they- “TOMMY!”
Tommy snapped out of it, looking for wherever Tubbo was, why he had shouted, and then he saw the ground. The island rushing closer towards him. He fumbled with his items before grabbing his fireworks just in time to launch himself back into the air. He stared down at the ground once more, trying to find Tubbo, before items started raining from above. “No! Scar!” And he flew back up towards the withers.
One of the withers was slowly falling back down to the ground, Scar having gotten it to half its health on his own. And that was with him not being a fighter like Tommy. He slashed at the wither until it died before flying further up and attacking the final of the monsters. It got a number of attacks to hit Tommy and the teen quickly flew higher, far enough away to quickly down some golden carrots and make sure he wasn’t killed as well. After a few more attacks, the final wither was also killed and Tommy started back down to the ground. He quickly pulled out his comm and read the death messages that were reported.
GoodtimeswithScar was shot by a skull from Wither
Keralis was slain by Technoblade
GoodtimeswithScar was slain by Technoblade
GoodtimeswithScar was slain by Technoblade
GoodtimeswithScar went off with a bang
BdoubleO100 went off with a bang
Renthedog went off with a bang
Jrumbot went off with a bang
Looking back at the ground as he put the comm away again, Tommy could see the fading colors of fireworks being launched. He dove down, even using a firework of his own to get there quicker, but as the smoke cleared, he pulled back to slow his descent. On the ground Grian was fighting Technoblade and holding his own, sword parrying the blows from Techno’s axe.
Tommy scanned the rest of the area. Tubbo was on the ground a number of blocks away, coughing from the smoke. Phil was nearby, but couldn’t move due to some of the debris managing to have landed on one of his wings. While Tommy wanted to help Grian out, he didn’t look like he needed it as much as Tubbo and Philza did, so he changed his path to go in their direction.
“Tubbo, are you okay?!” Tommy asked as he landed, quickly helping his friend up. Tubbo tried to speak, but instead it all came out as coughing. “Just go to town hall.” Tommy pointed at the large building on a nearby hill. “I know it’s gonna sound weird, but find the cat there and hold onto her for dear life! Got it?” Tubbo was hesitant at first, but then nodded and ran towards the building.
Tommy ran the opposite way over to Phil and helped him out of the rubble. He had to be a little careful with breaking everything so he didn’t hurt his dad, but it wasn’t the hardest material to deal with, so freeing the avian wasn’t too difficult of a task. “Was that Techno? How’d he get here?”
“Dunno.” Tommy answered, helping his dad to his feet. “He’s fighting Grian right now, so we better stop them.”
Phil nodded and the two of them ran towards where Grian and Techno were still fighting. Grian was looking very angry, to the point where he seemed to be using some Watcher magic at least slightly as his wings were their alternate colors and he had more than just one pair of eyes.
“It won’t matter once you’re dead!” Were the first words Tommy could make out, the sentence coming from Techno.
“I don’t plan on dying for good anytime soon. You, on the other hand, will probably wish you could die.”
“Grian!” Tommy shouted, and the Watcher looked away from Techno and up at Tommy. The piglin hybrid tried at use that as an opening to attack, but Grian hadn’t completely looked away since he could control his various eyes independently. “Techno! Stop fighting him! Even if you win it’s not going to end well!”
But Techno ignored Tommy and attacked once more. Grian pulled his shield up to block the attack, but the axe didn’t connect. In all of the commotion, no one saw someone new enter the area until now. All eyes were on Grumbot as he had stopped the axe with a hand and then pulled it out of Techno’s hands. “Hello Uncle Technoblade.”
Everything was quiet. Tommy was pretty sure the robot was doing the same thing as when Grian and Phil had been fighting, shocking them into doing nothing. But Techno wasn’t Phil. He pulled out another crossbow and aimed it at Grum. Tommy shouted as he watched as the trigger was pulled.
Tommy ran toward where they had stood. His comm buzzing in his pocket. He couldn’t see the messages, but he knew what they were.
Grumbot went off with a bang
Grian went off with a bang
Technoblade was slain by Tommyinnit
Tommy panted, unmoving as he just held his sword in place, the blade left where Techno had been standing moments before. For a moment he was glad, but then he panicked. Had Techno gone back to the SMP when he was killed? Was he back at spawn? Was he nowhere and gone from existence? His comm buzzed again and Tommy immediately pulled it out.
Xisuma was slain by Technoblade
Okay, at the very least now he knew Techno had respawned. The question is where Xisuma was. His best guess was the spawn island since at least with Tubbo, Phil and himself, they were brought by Grian. Tommy took a moment to catch his breath slightly before rocketing back up into the air and heading to spawn. On his way there, he saw a boat heading towards the main island, so Tommy dove down towards it. “Technoblade!”
The hybrid looked up just in time to see Tommy land into the boat with a ‘thunk’ making it shake and letting a little bit of water come over the sides. “Tommy.”
“Oh my god is that Xisuma’s gear?”
Techno looked down at himself before looking back to the main spawn area. “If you mean the guy that was over there when I respawned, yeah.” Techno huffed. “Now I think you should get out of this boat before I make you.”
“No. You need to hear me out first.”
“No I don’t. You were helping the guys that kidnapped you and Phil. He said that guy was a Watcher. Phil told us stories about them growing up.”
Tommy crossed his arms. “He told you and Wil those stories. He never told me any of those. Plus, they were wrong.”
“You honestly expect me to believe you after you’ve been living with them for months?” Techno growled, moving his stolen weapon closer to Tommy.
“I believe them because they’re family.”
“We’re your family Tommy.”
“So’s Xelqua.”
Techno’s eyes widened and the sword lowered just enough from his shock that Tommy quickly stole it away before showing it into the water. “Did you just say that to-”
Tommy shook his head. “No! Of course not! It’s a plus, but I’m telling the truth. Dad knows too. None of use were sure at first, not even him. Like you said, I’ve been living with them for months, but until yesterday we didn’t know.”
“Then for all we know he’s lying. Or maybe he’s not really someone to trust.”
Tommy just sighed. “Can we just fucking go back to the spawn area so X can get his shit back? While we’re there I can tell everyone else what’s going on.”
Reluctantly Techno agreed and turned the boat around just as Xisuma was arriving with his emergency bee elytra out from his suit.
“Alright, give him his fucking stuff back.” Tommy said as he pushed Techno out of the boat, making the hybrid grumble and take off the pilfered armor and other gear. “Alright then. Techno, this is Xisuma. He’s the admin of the server. He’s not like Dream but can be so much worse if you give him any reason to.”
Xisuma tilted his head slightly at the unfamiliar name, but mostly ignored it to take his items back. “I would welcome you to the server, but it seems you’ve already made yourself known.”
Techno huffed. “Yeah, just tell me where Phil is and I’ll be on my way.”
“Bitch what about Xel?”
“I doubt he wants to go back with us.”
“Hey I’m not fucking leaving. And I’m not sure Phil is either.”
“Why wouldn’t he?”
“He’ll want to stay with Grian for a bit probably.” Techno raised an eyebrow at Tommy. “He changed his name to Grian ages ago. Don’t know the full details though. He only really ever said he got bullied for it growing up and changed it in highschool or some shit.”
“Fine, I guess we’re staying here a bit.” Techno crossed his arms before getting back in the boat.
“Um, I seem to be missing my sword still.” Xisuma piped up, and Tommy jabbed his finger in the direction they came from. X nodded when he saw it floating on the surface of the water and flew over to grab the weapon.
While he did that, Tommy jumped back in the boat and rowed with Techno back to the island, going right up to Tommy’s beach area. Phil and Tubbo were both there, Tubbo with a certain gray striped cat in their lap.
The moment they reached land, Techno got out of the boat and walked over to Philza, who handed him the gear he lost when Tommy managed to kill him. “Is what Tommy said true? About Xel?”
Phil nodded. “Yeah. In fact he’s the Watcher that showed up. He’s gone through a lot since we last saw him.”
“How do we know we can trust him.”
Phil looked off to the side. “Well, he’s done better for Tommy than we did.”
The two of them were quiet to the point where Tommy broke the silence by going over to Tubbo. “Ey Tubzo, looks like you and Jellie are getting along. Very cool, very cool. She’s not upset at you bringing her along?”
Tubbo shook their head. “No, I tried to leave her back in that big building but she followed behind me.”
“Yeah, she sort of has a mind of her own. Grian’s not even completely sure she’s really a cat.” Tommy then looked up as he noticed something in the sky. “Speaking of which, looks like that’s him.”
The others also looked skyward and saw the bright red wings of Grian spread out as he was gliding. The avian noticed the group and pulled them in, diving down. However, shortly after doing that, Tommy watched as Grian pulled out a sword. The moment he landed on the ground, the blade was against Techno’s throat, Grian glaring up at his taller brother, his eyes red and puffy.
“Grian! Stop stop stop stop! That’s Technoblade, that’s Technoblade!” Tommy rushed over and tried to stop Grian but the avian pushed Tommy to the side.
“I don’t care who he is! He killed them and they’re not respawning!” Grian shouted, pressing the blade further, drawing a few drops of blood.
Tommy took a slight step back. “Wait, who? What do you mean? What happened?” But he was pretty sure he knew. Tommy saw the death messages. Scar was obviously respawning, and the other hermits would too. But two of those on the list wouldn’t.
“What are you talking about?” Techno looked down, showing no emotion to Grian.
“You killed my kids!” Grian yelled at him. “They’re dead and they’re not coming back! And it’s all your fault!”
It looked like Grian wanted to yell even more, but Philza grabbed him in a hug and the younger avian just dissolved into crying. Tommy and Techno met eyes, and even the powerful Technoblade flinched at the glare he received from his youngest brother.
Back on the SMP, Ghostbur kept floating around where the people had been before. He couldn’t quite remember why they had disappeared. He remembered something big with wings. He was pretty sure it was a giant bird. It looked kind of like his dad! And Tommy had been there too, but then everyone but Technoblade left. And then even Techno had left. Ghostbur was pretty sure he was supposed to stay there, but he wasn’t sure.
Then suddenly he felt something. As a ghost, he didn’t have access to a communicator, so the supernatural powers that allowed him to exist as a ghost also allowed him to interact with what would be the chat. So he was very aware when some people showed up. And since his friends and family had left, that had to be them coming back! It was a little strange they weren’t right there, but maybe they were just back where everyone else appears. Yeah, that was probably it!
Ghostbur went back towards spawn, ready to see Phil and Technoblade and Tommy. And he was happy to see there was someone right where there should be. Two someones in fact. But they seemed a little short. Techno and Tommy were tall, so it couldn’t be them, and Philza was short, but not that short. So that must mean it was someone completely different.
“Hello there! I’m Ghostbur!”
The two new people jumped slightly before turning to look at him. “Oh! H-Hi!”
“Who are you two? Unless we’ve already met. I don’t think we have, but I also have trouble remembering so maybe we have!”
“No, we have not met you before. I do not believe the two of us have even been to this world before. Can you tell us where we are?”
“Oh! You’re in the Dream SMP!” Ghostbur answered, just as one of the two newcomers checked what they had in place of a communicator.

[Mighty No. 9] Confined Nightmare
Summary: In which Beck nearly assimilates a fellow Battle Colosseum bot without hesitation. [action/battle practice][oneshot]
Rating: K+
Word Count: 1,954 words
If you liked this story, please reblog!
- - -
Beck could feel himself tremble as he walked out to the main arena. He was instantly greeted with heart pumping music and the crowd beating their feet in time to it. From the other side of the Colosseum arena was his opponent; a female bot named Tremus. The older bot (in both appearance and experience) calmly waved to her fans as they screamed to get her attention.
Tremus always had an air of being well in control of the environment around her. It was something that Beck had always admired about her before he started competing in the colosseum’s one-on-one duels. Even out of the arena, Tremus refused to be pushed around by anyone. Her soft side was a hard one to crack, indeed; much like the boulders she was made to crush for construction use. It was no wonder that Aviator (another one of the Mighty Numbers) tried at every chance to flirt with her.
A siren rang out through the battleground, indicating that the match had begun. Beck jumped at the sudden noise. If Tremus had flinched, she hid it behind her charge toward Beck. Her hands, once normal looking for any other xel bot, transformed into separate drills. They spun in high velocity as Tremus attempted to hit Beck with them. The squeak he made in dodging the blow was the dumbest sound he could have made- someone back at home was going to make fun of him for it later. At the moment, he had to figure out how to attack Tremus. He couldn’t stay on the defensive for too long.
She did not make it easy for him. Every now and again, Tremus would transform her hand drills into a single drill, then dive to trail along the ground toward Beck. Beck tried over and over again to calculate a way for him to get a buster shot or two on her. He found that she had enough of a recoil time after each lunge for him to get something in if he was fast enough. Even then, if he wanted to do any damage, he’d have to charge his shot up before Tremus recovered. The next time Tremus performed a drill charge, Beck started to reroute more power to his buster. He waited until Tremus made another drill-based punch at him, then released all the power in his buster before she could defend herself.
Tremus stumbled back from the hit. She looked down at one of her hand drills and realized that  xel was drifting off of her. Her body was becoming destabilized. Realizing what was going on, she took a hard look up at Beck. The young robot was already rushing at her to absorb the xel she was losing. Tremus didn’t have time to react before Beck collided into her- almost phasing through as he absorbed the loose xel.
It felt worse than any punch Tremus had ever experienced during her time as a competitor. A part of her now felt permanently empty. She ran a quick diagnostic of the xel Beck had absorbed. Her artificial heart nearly stopped in realizing that Beck had taken over 20% of her total xel count. The loss wasn’t anything she couldn’t make up for, but if he kept that rate up? She’d be completely assimilated by the end of the match; if she wasn’t lucky, of course.
She wouldn’t allow this to become a reason to slow down, though. Tremus made sure she kept Beck on his toes. This wasn’t his first fight on the battlefield, but you should still see the green behind his ears. It wouldn’t take much to disorient him in some way. At the same time, she tended to forget that Beck was still powerful under the right conditions.
Tremus got careless enough that Beck was able to steal more of her xel. Another 20% of her overall xel count gone. She gave herself an annoyed tsk- this wasn’t going to work.
Using a backspring to allow herself enough room, Tremus melded her feet together into a large drill. She then used the momentum to dig underneath the Colosseum floor for an underground advantage. Beck immediately panicked. Tremus dug down far enough that he couldn’t feel the vibrations of where she was until she started to come back up. By then, it was a bit too late- Tremus popped out of the ground with enough force to nearly drill Beck in half had he not gotten out of the way. He did take a good amount of damage, though. That much was obvious.
Beck nervously bit his lower lip as he tried to think of a counter. Tremus wasn’t giving him much room to think. She was once more using her hand drills to make shots at him. For now, Beck didn’t have a choice but to circle strafe around her. He needed to do something before Tremus decided to get another underground attack in. Then he had an idea; Beck had weakened Tremus enough to absorb a lot of her xel. He likely had the data he needed to copy a part of her power. But did he actually have enough?
Based on the way Tremus was fighting, he wondered if he did.
The duo continued to fight for another 30 seconds as Beck wrestled with his new plan. He wanted to make sure he had enough xel from Tremus to allow ReXelection to actually work. A quick calculation decided that he only needed another 5%. Unfortunately, Tremus was well aware of Beck’s unique ability- even before the match started. But with over 65%  her starting xel gone now, she was taking all the precautions she could to not lose any more. Every time Beck came close, Tremus immediately moved back. She dodged a lot of his buster shots by digging underground, or kicking up enough bedrock to allow the debris to take the blow instead. This wasn’t the best choice for Tremus. Her drills were her main weapons- in order to get any kind of hard hit on Beck, she had to get close to him.
Tremus ended up giving Beck the opportunity he had been waiting for. She had tried to make a single lunge at him, but Beck dodged it and got a good two hits in that disassembled enough xel for him to dash into. Feeling Beck pass through her for the fourth time today, Tremus suddenly went still in shock. It was more than enough time for Beck to turn around to face her. The young bot quickly activated ReXelection for Tremus’s battle data.
The crowd went into a frenzied roar as Beck’s hands transformed into those similar to Tremus’s hand drills. Surges of power from the ReXelection and the crowd filled Beck with an overwhelming desire to put the older contender in her place. Beck dashed toward Tremus, letting out a cry as he swiped the spinning drills at her legs. The blow effectively knocked her off her feet- the bot hitting the ground hard. Her body immediately showed distortion at the impact. Tremus had taken enough damage that she only had the energy to open her eyes. Standing above her was Beck. The hand drills buzzed in fury as he pointed them directly at her.
Tremus looked up in fear as Beck was more than prepared to give the final blow. With her body this destabilized, one more hit from Beck would make her physical form disappear entirely. It would be a miracle if anyone would be able to recover her xel data after. The tense moment was exemplified by the crowd letting out conflicting screams for either Tremus to get up, or for Beck to assimilate her for good. The youngest Mighty Number stared right back at her- all sense of emotion nonexistent in his eyes. That small realization hit Tremus suddenly and with even more distress.
Beck was the weak link of the Mighty Numbers. He didn’t have the guts to fully assimilate another bot.
...right?
A flicker crossed Beck’s eyes. He blinked at Tremus for a moment. Slowly, as if he were confused, Beck stepped away from her. He returned his hands to look as they normally did. He just looked at Tremus with dawning guilt as the announcer declared Mighty Number 9 the victor of the match. The two bots continued their unwavering stares as Miss Noelle ran onto the battlefield to give Tremus emergency support. Tremus immediately turned her attention to her creator, receiving enough xel again to be able to stand. Miss Noelle still fussed over her creation as they walked off the field.
Beck remained where he was. He looked up at the colosseum stands to see rows of spectators cheering for him. A tiny piece of the confetti fluttering around landed on his nose. Beck picked it off, stared at the colorful paper with an unreadable face, then looked back up at the spectators. He didn’t even notice when his own creator, Doctor White, came up to give Beck a gentle hand on the back before waving at the crowd for him.
Later on, Beck was idly walking around the halls leading to the preparation rooms. He had told Doctor White that he just needed some time along- a wish easily granted by his enthused creator. Beck’s win had meant that Sanda Technologies had won a lot of much needed grant money for another quarter. Doctor White just requested that he stayed near the prep rooms.
Beck just wandered until he found a rather quiet corner need a supply closet. Letting out a sigh, he leaned against the wall, then slid down to sit. Every moment of his fight with Tremus flashed through his mind. Why did he feel like he needed to review that information? He did what he was supposed to. All his functions had performed as optimally as they should have.
So why did something about the match feel off?
“You hesitated.”
“Ohuh?” was Beck’s first response before looking up. Tremus was standing over him, her current pose reminding him of a superhero. He took a moment just to admire the other bot. Tremus didn’t look very pleased.
“You hesitated.” she repeated.
It took another nanosecond or two for Beck to actually understand what she was saying. When he did, he used a hand to rub the back of his neck.
“O-oh, yeah.” he nervously laughed. “Guess I’m not used to fighting real tournaments yet.”
“No.” Tremus snapped at him. “This has nothing to do with your experience. This has everything to do with the fact that you nearly assimilated me.”
Beck blinked.
“I… I didn’t know I hurt you that much…” he finally said, unsure of what else to say. “Are you alright now?”
“I’m fine.” Tremus quickly told him. She had immediately turned her gaze away from him.
“O-oh. Okay…”
Tremus looked back at him and looked the young bot over.
“You’re different.” she eventually told him. “And yet, it’s not hard to believe you have the same ability as Trinity. Twin confined nightmares…” She shuddered at a certain thought, then gave Beck a hard stare. “Just do one thing, Mighty Number 9- the only thing you need to do so we don’t see another monster like Trinity; have a conscience every now and again. Power corrupts. Make sure White knows it too.”
Beck was about to ask what she meant, but Tremus was gone before he even could. Still sitting in his spot, Beck looked down at his hands as if they could solve the world’s mysteries.
“What does the professor have to do with it?” the bot wondered. Now confused, Beck looked up at the ceiling and let out a heavy sigh.

The scent of mechanical blood and coolant is... familiar, yet so very curious. He wasn't the one to cause the kill, after all...
Let’s see if you can appeal to his non-existent mercy this time around.
-------------------------------------
[TITUS, CALIFORNIA] [DECEMBER 31ST, 6 YEARS AGO]
[ Ø ] -  The present year is drawing to a close.
Breakthroughs in robotic technology have ushered in a new era of peace and prosperity through the invention of Xel: Tiny, microscopic nanites capable of forming into any shape and producing many different kinds of energy. Violence is confined to the Battle Colosseum, where combat robot combatants face off in spectacular duels. Battles for glory and the pursuit of innovation, pushing the limits of both man and machine to new heights and fame.
A true, golden age of everlasting peace...
For them, that is. History is written by the winners--that was a disgusting habit humans always liked to show off in their hubris and greed.
The scent of artificial liquid would lead to a dark alley, one that twists and turns in an unnatural way. The deep reds and purples of what once gave function now adorned the walls and the concrete like abstract art. A garbage can lay half-melted to the side.
Limbs of several constructs lie useless, and they only grow in number as one ventures further in. Now--now there are sounds. Tearing. Ripping--
Biting, CRUNCHING. Heavy, shuddering breaths in pauses in between, before they resume again...and again. And again.
The alley turns, and around the corner was the source of the horrid noises.
She was as red as the gore around her.
Tumblr media
“--!”
And she heard him--SMELLED him coming, something unfamiliar and something BIG, something that was NOT from here. The half-consumed construct is mercilessly tossed aside with a sick SPLAT, their Xel still being absorbed and flowing into her as she whirls around on her heel.
A single firework bursts overhead, lighting the alleyway briefly and revealing her crestfallen form for a few seconds...as well as the clawed arm cannon that was being pointed DIRECTLY at the other’s CORE.
Teeth bared and stained--eyes like slits and of two opposite hues, a raging, bloody red and an unforgiving icy blue. Xel swirled around her and clicked into place, glowing an ominous vermilion.
Of course something had to disturb her meal. She HATES when that happens, and it’s been happening OFTEN. Usually, if it was something she could CONSUME, then it was fortuitous.
But Ray could tell--FEEL, by just looking at this one? This was a fight she won’t win. Better to cut her losses and look for the first opportunity to either BURN her way through or otherwise.
Survival was of first priority. EVERYTHING ELSE is secondary.
Except what the fuck was this strange feeling that bordered on familiarity? Ignore it. Watch and wait. You don’t know what you’re up against.

My Caretaker Is A Demon: The Aftermath
Jane knew she didn’t have much time before the demon showing up in the basement. Hopefully, the treatment was working even more than anticipated. Despite the hope, Archie screamed again from the pain. His body was not responding. He felt like being burned from the inside.
- AAAAAHHHH, WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?! (Archie)
- Yes...Yes...YES! Finally, it all comes together~ (Jane)
Something was not right. He was changing. He felt his skin becoming sharper and tougher. His nails transformed into claws. His forehead was hurting him. Something was growing there. Archie wanted the pain to stop but it was endless. In the meantime, Xel felt everything and she didn’t like it. She didn’t bother of being merciful. She just burnt to ashes every obstacle in her way. For her, this kind of people are beyond redemption for now and deserved a good old place of torture in hell for their sins. She blew up every door and wall in her way. She was an unstoppable force as she always was. She could find the stairs to the basement. She didn’t waste any time and rushed inside at full speed and strength. But she was too late. The scene was horrific. Her little brat was stood up in front of her in some kind of demon abomination form. Her mother was laughing next to her.
Tumblr media
- He is complete! After thousand of years and uncountable experiments, it’s done! The first weapon is created! (Jane)
She kept laughing and it didn’t amuse Xel. She walked towards her with evil and monstruous thoughts. Jane wasn’t scared.
- Sweetie. Please help your mommy and get rid of her. We don’t want her to stop our plan~ (Jane)
Archie wasn’t talking and he wasn’t moving either. Instead, he fired two fireballs at Xel. She didn’t have any problem to block them. Xel sighed and approached Archie slowly. He was shivering. He believed she would destroy her. He closed his eyes thinking it was his end. He waited a few seconds but nothing happened. He felt something warm and not painful, more like pleasant. Xel was caressing his hair.
- Don’t worry little brat. You are not to blame. (Xel)
Xel put her hand behind his neck and destroyed the little device that was on his neck. Suddenly, Jane stopped laughing.
- X-Xel, I...can’t control it...(Archie)
- Yes, you can. You are stronger than that. You feel an entire fire inside you, right? Focus on it and breathes. Close your eyes and do it. (Xel)
He listened to her voice and did what she said. His skin became normal again, his horns disappears. The rest of his body was human again. Jane was speechless and scared.
-T-That’s impossible! You must obey me! (Jane)
Xel stared at her with a deadly expression. In a fraction of second, Jane was in the air, she was being held by the neck.
- Why?! Why did you do that to your own son?! (Xel)
Jane had a little smile.
- He is the tool of vengeance. My family didn’t forget what hell and heaven did to humanity. All of you will pay for the extermination during the divine war! (Jane)
Xel was stunned by what she heard. She couldn’t believe it.
- You..you mean...that’s impossible, we erased humanity’s memory of that event! We did that to protect you all and make sure humanity could rebuild itself. Why and how do you know about it? (Xel)
- At that time, we didn’t develop writing yet but we could draw and paint. My ancestor drew and painted the war. The images were then our legacy. But it’s only a thousand years ago that my family could interpretate them right. It was decided that we will avenge the losts! (Jane)
- You pathetic mortal, you don’t understand what happened and the decisions we took! How many humans had to die and suffer for this stupid revenge? No, it’s unforgivable! Archie, I’m sorry. (Xel)
With a free hand, she created a portal. Xel laughed very maliciously and evilly.
- We have a special place for people like you. You will regret for eternity that you tried to fool demons and attack us. (Xel)
Jane was panicking. Xel looked behind and watched Archie. He was staring at the scene but his expression was clear. He agreed with Xel. She nodded and threw Jane in the portal before closing it.
- I will personally torture you myself...but for now, come little brat. You win a free trip in hell. Don’t worry, not for the same reasons as your mom. We need to figure this out with my bosses. Is it good for you? (Xel)
Archie nodded calmly and grabbed her hand. Both of them looked determined and jumped into the new portal. Next direction: Hell.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have finished this arc XD it was about time ^^ this part also involves some lore stuff fuhuhu~ <w< I hope you will enjoy it! ^^ (drawing made by @wildstarfan <3)

[MNo9] Partners
Summary: At four months old, Pyrogen was more than familiar with the way the Battle Colosseum worked. But when the Colosseum opens up tag team matches, will Pyro be open to forming an alliance with his new partner?

At four months old, Pyrogen was familiar with the way the Battle Colosseum worked. Victoire was the sweet young woman that announced to the bots when their match was about to take place. Hector was the man in charge of the whole shebang, and he treated all the bots that fought there like an extended family. Pyrogen also knew that if he continued to win the battles he took part in, Dr. White would be able to finish the next in Pyrogen's line: something that the professor called the 'Mighty Numbers.' This was why, when the Colosseum announced that it would start doing tag team battles, Pyrogen was rather confused that he was to be paired with another robot during the fight.
“I thought the point of the Colosseum fights were to bring the winner's robotist a large sum of grant money?” Pyrogen had asked William White as some point.
“It is,” White agreed. “And that's why during the tag team events, the grant money would be split.” White gave a short pause before adding, “If it's any consideration, I'm not a fan of the idea myself.”
“I never said I disliked the idea,” Pryogen found himself softly arguing, “I'm just… confused, that is all.”
But Dr. White never answered him after that, because the professor's mind on gone on to more pressing matters. Perhaps Pryogen could still change the subject?
“The robot I am set to fight with isn't even from Sanda's numbers.” he decided to ask. After a short pause he even added, “Are they?”
“No.” Dr. White huffed. “CherryDyn helped create your 'partner.'”
Pyrogen gave a small nod, showing that he understood. He knew better than to ask further questions whenever CherryDyn was brought up. In some way, this help him see why Dr. White believed the tag team matches to be useless: both companies would see the grant money, instead of one monopolizing the funds from another. Dr. White -for his own reasons- just simply disliked having to share a victory (and the winning money) with Gregory Graham's robotics company.
“Good morning boys!” Victoire greeted them as they entered the preparation grounds. “You'll be in training room three today- your partner is already waiting for you Pyrogen.”
“Thank you Victoire.” both Dr. White and Pyro agreed before going on in. Sure enough, when the duo entered the training room, the simulation was already running with a robot going through basic defensive tactics.
The robot was even scrawnier than Pyrogen when he wasn't ignited- this robot looking to be nothing more but a large eye on top of a wire frame. The eye -Pyrogen had to admit- was well detailed to make sure the iris could display a range of emotion despite other limitations considering its lack of mouth or second eye. Whoever the robot's maker was was even generous enough to give them five fingered hands, despite them looking almost out of place against the thin piping that made up the robot's arms, torso, legs, and neck. The feet were not as lucky, they were designed to keep the bot upright and nothing more, and so they looked like not very creative cinder blocks.
Dr. White didn't seem very impressed by this robot, and to gain its attention, the professor cleared his throat loud enough for the bot to hear.
“Huh?” the robot questioned as it canceled the simulation. He -Pyro assumed it was a he now, based on its voice patterns- looked over at Dr. White and Pyrogen with a curious enough expression before a spark of recognition hit his circuits.
“Well I'll be bricked...” the bot mumbled to himself before shouting, “Hey Jory, look who I'm teamed up with!”
“Is it a bot without the EmoteCore?” a man shouted before coming into the room. “I told them...”
But when the robot's maker looked up, he gave a quick glance from Dr. White to Pryogen and back again before letting out a relieved -yet still stunned- exclamation of, “Well I'll be damned! If it isn't Dr. William White in the flesh! Amazing!”
In the human's moment of delighted bewilderment, Pyrogen decided to look over this human in full. The robot's maker looked more like a garage shop mechanic than a scientist. A fat man this 'Jory' was, dressed in a pair of blue overalls that had seen better days, grease stains on his hands and past his wrists, even his jet black hair looked over greased in the harsh overhead light of the preparation room. Upon closer inspection, Jory's fat seemed to be more muscle based compared to Dr. Sanda's… fluff, along with a taller stature that made the human larger than life itself. Pyrogen decided he was alright with Jory's appearance, but Dr. White looked wary.
Jory seemed to notice some on Dr. White's discontent, so he took the opportunity to give introductions.
“Dr. White, it is an honor to have your bot work with mine.” he gushed. “My name is Jory Jaxton, and my bot's name is Troilus- his serial's CDN 67-8.72.18 but I never call him that. Too formal and a pain to say when you're mad at 'em, you know?”
“No.” came Dr. White's emotionless response. The professor seemed to now that he was being a bit too frosty, so he shook his head and decided to ask, “Are you related to Graham?”
“No!” Jory snorted. “Hell no! The man just signs my checks, if that. I joke sometimes that he doesn't even know who I am- isn't that right Troilus!”
“I meant in a business sense.” Dr. White clarified, finding himself no less irked than before.
This did not distract from Jory's cheerful mood. To emphasize, with a wide smile he told Dr. White, “Like I said, I don't think the man even knows my name- he just signs the checks and I cash them in accordingly.”
“Hey,” Jory then suggested, “Let's give the bots some space to get used to each other, and we can talk more outside. What do'ya say?”
Dr. White stood a bit straighter and gave Pyrogen a dark glare. But, the professor diffused to agree with a small, “Sure.”
Cheerfully, Jory led Dr. White out of the room, leaving the two robots to their own devices.
“Whelp, let's get going.” Troilus decided, stretching his arms above his head. “We've gotta train before the match, yeah?”
“Yeah.” Pyrogen agreed with a small nod. For a brief moment, Troilus's eye flickered with light, indicating a gleeful smile.
. . .
“You do have some way of defending yourself… Do you?” Pyrogen asked as the two were about to start.
“Don't you?” Troilus teased. “Just step back a bit- it might get messy.”
Pyrogen had no reason not to oblige and took several generous steps back. Troilus let out a small snicker before going almost dead silent in concentration. Just as the Mighty Number was going to ask if the CherryDyn bot was alright, several pores in Troilus's framework started to leak a thick, and incredibly black oil. Pyrogen was just too mystified at this to be worried first- he watched as the oil started to coat against Troilus's frame in enough layers that more than tripled the initial framework's width.
The process took only five minutes, and within that time Troilus had a silhouette far more dangerous than his initial frame. His singular eye was even coated in a way that it looked like the robot wore a welding helmet; the eye acting at the visor.
Seeing Troilus completely covered in oil, and just now realizing how it reflected the light in an amusing rainbow-like pattern, Pyrogen found himself impressed by his partner's defensive ability.
“Amazed yet?” Troilus teased when he noticed that Pryo was looking at him. The single eyed bot even gave a smug blink that substituted for a wink.
“Partially.” Mighty Number 1 found himself admitting. “I suppose it's my turn now...”
“Please do.” Troilus mischievously agreed.
Now, Pyrogen's fire abilities were far quicker to activate- the Mighty Number only having to pound his fists together hard enough to spark a combustion in his burners that instantaneously covered his body with live flames. With his defensive abilities active, Pyrogen too looked like a completely different robot, and Troilus too took a moment to appreciate his new partner's abilities.
“Not bad.” Troilus snuffed. “Let's see what trouble we can get into now.”
Pyrogen offered a small smile. “After you.” he admitted with a trickster gleam in his eye.
As the two become familiar with each other and their powers, Pyrogen had to admit that he was having some fun. He was the one that suggested Troilus lay a layer of oil down to barricade them from an opponent, but Troilus was the one who had the idea of creating a whole ring around the opponent so the two could lay further traps on the battlefield. It was admittedly a rather dangerous move, since Troilus would have to be fairly close to their opponent, but after many a trail and error, the two were able to nail it down in no time.
“Can we take a break?” Pyrogen asked after several hours of work. “My systems need to cool off.”
“Sure!” Troilus agreed. “I think I need a bit of a recharge myself, you know?”
And with that decided, the two canceled their defensive and offensive powers (Troilus took longer, obviously, than Pyrogen to do so) and went back inside the preparation room.
“You know,” Troilus randomly decided to say after Pyrogen had given them each a decent bit of xel to process, “You really helped inspire the new gen of Battle Colosseum fighters. Even this generation is taking cues from your programming.”
“Huh?” the Mighty Number mumbled, not sure if he was hearing his fellow robot right. Where was this introspection coming from? But Troilus was serious -or as serious as a one eyed robot with no other face could get- and continued on in a grave voice.
“Pyro, I'm a whole year old, you know that? But I've only had the EmoteCore for 9 days- almost two months after Sanda Tech let it become public domain. And you know why? It's because you happened. Because the EmoteCore inside you is so impressive, every robotist and their mother wants their robots with it now. Without you, the rest of us would just be… lifeless. Without you, I wouldn't be me. You follow?”
“I'm trying...” Pyrogen admitted. There was just something about this conversation that seemed to evade his logical processors. The one eyed robot could see this in his friend, and gave a hard sigh before trying again.
“It's obvious Jory's a mechanic, right? Well, before you stepped onto the scene, I didn't have much of a personality to go off of, you see? He made me to be the endless supply of oil he needed so he didn't have to carry around a heavy bucket back and forth, and risk getting sick if some of it got on him. I wasn't meant for the Colosseum fights- Jory just didn't want that for me. He built me, and loved me, just because I was a tool he needed to make his life more simple.
“But then you came along with your first fight. You did something that none of the previous battle bots have done before: you showed mercy.”
“It wasn't that impressive.” the Mighty Number muttered under his breath- embarrassed all the same.
“Did you not hear me? You gave your opponent mercy- you didn't kill them in a torrent of blood and fire in an arena known for its blood and fire. That is impressive Pyro.”
Troilus then recoiled, now truly noticing how perplexed Pyrogen had been since the discussion started. “You… you really don't get how special you are in the field of robotic developments… do you?” he whispered. He looked away before adding, “Without you, I wouldn't be… me. You know?”
Pyrogen, still confused, gave a small nod of agreement.
“You already said that.” he pointed out, if only to keep the conversation going.
“I know.” Troilus agreed- the spirit of defiance coming back to him again. “And until you get it through your circuits, I'm going to keep repeating it!”
“I have no doubt about that.” Pyrogen muttered under his breath. Troilus gave him a rather hard look as his positronic brain tried to find a way to get the message through the bot's head. When no results came up, the CherryDyn bot came up with a new idea- and it was, unarguably, a much better thought.
“Hey Pyro, let's make a bet.” he suggested- his eye once more gleaming a rather mischievous and excited way.
“What kind?” the Mighty Number carefully questioned.
“If we win all our battles tonight, let's meet up after and get to know each other better- yeah? Maybe even swindle Hector to let us fight exclusively by each other's sides 'til one of your creators grants us a sibling. Whatcha say?”
The Mighty Number looked back on the CherryDyn bot with some thought. In his case, Pyro knew that he was going to have other robots in his line eventually- Dr. White had promised that much. But he would admit to be just slightly lonely at the time too...
But, in truth, Pyrogen didn't really know Troilus enough to trust him completely with… well, anything. But there was something about this bot that he did like. Maybe they could be (what was that word Dr. White used to describe his and Sanda's relationship?) friends? Pyro wouldn't have minded some friends that were not Dr. White or Dr. Sanda...
“Sure.” Pyrogen finally agreed. “But only if we win all the battles.”
If Troilus had the power to smile, it would have been a rather wide and bright one indeed.
