Secret Santa for an irl friend who also happens to be in a private warriors rp server with me, so I drew their main character, Curlyclaw (big fluffy brown cat with blue eyes) with some other characters, depicting several scenes from the rp :3

Top-left: Heatherstar (WindClan leader) and Curlyclaw (her deputy) sharing a rabbit after Curlyclaw comes back from her self-determined exile. Heatherstar was in rough shape and wasn’t taking care of herself being so distraught without her right-hand cat by her side.

Top-right: Silverwhisker (ThunderClan medicine cat) and Curlyclaw bullying Bristletail (ShadowClan deputy) after his very public rejection of Creeksong (RiverClan medicine cat) at that night’s gathering. Silverwhisker wants him to apologize to her and is bapping him for making one of his medicine cats cry (Silverwhisker and Willowfang are both old as fuck and see the other much younger medicine cats like their kids :peas: ), and Curlyclaw is happy to join in, asserting that romance is dead in toms these days XD

MIDDLE SCENE: Curlyclaw attacking Fogstar (ShadowClan leader) at the impromptu gathering and taking 2 of her lives at once, leaving her with only two left. Curlyclaw attacked Fogstar after the leader mocked her dead mate relentlessly, saying he was careless for getting himself and his whole patrol caught in rabbit snares, when everyone else was trying to push it as a reason for them to leave the lake, proof that twolegs were getting more involved in the territories and it wasn’t safe for them anymore. This is why Curlyclaw exiled herself - she killed another leader at a gathering, and Heatherstar was too stunned/hesitant to make the decision herself

Bottom-left: This one didn’t actually happen in rp, it’s just been talked about that Bristletail and Curlyclaw have been friends since they were apprentices. So here we have Bristlepaw and Curlypaw at their first gathering, with Bristlepaw pointing at the leaders in the tree, saying “We’ll be up there one day!”

Bottom-right: Last and most recent scene. Curlyclaw caught a whole turkey by herself during a massive hunting party and Sparrowheart (ThunderClan deputy) is being totally normal and not at all flustered by the big buff she-cat XD

Personality

Willowfang is aloof, impatient and witty. She is an excellent fighter, and her words can sting just as much as her bite. She spoiled her niece and nphew to bits, and she sees a lot of herself in her niece Mistynose. RiverClan is proud to have her as a Clanmate. She is good friends with Owldawn from ThunderClan, as they share the same dream of exploring beyond the Clans. She will be a key investigator in the strange events that follow Raveneye returning to WindClan (spoiler!)

Willowkit, Hollykit and Tansykit were born to Hailfrost, medicine cat of RiverClan, when she was out of the clan territories. There, Hailfrost made an irreversible choice- To kill her own kits. She had thought of leaving them there to starve, but she thought it was even crueler. She had hoped to find a loner to give her kits to, but she had no luck. So, with great heaviness, she killed the newly born trio, after naming them.

In StarClan, the young kits for a long time didn’t really understand much, just that their mother had killed them, and that was bad. But as they ‘grew up’- mentally, if not physically- they began to understand the truth and the crimes. Even though Willowkit wanted nothing to do with her mother, and Tansykit was too scared, Hollykit was curious, and he often would sit and watch his mother. To him, she never looked like a killer, not like all the other evil cats the other StarClanners watched. She was angry, temperamental, yes, but when you caught her alone… she looked sad.

Hollykit grew to understand and sympathize with Hailfrost’s situation, but it was when she got young Briarpaw as an apprentice that hate grew within him. Hailfrost treated her apprentice like her son, and it made him feel like he had meant nothing- that she really was a heartless killer. So, filled with rage, he and his siblings would haunt and yell at her in her dreams. This went on and on, before Hollykit’s rage slowly waned, and he saw the crying, miserable she-cat in front of him again, saying sorry, truly. But this time he was hardened, and he wouldn’t forgive her. He stopped haunting her, but still watched her.

It was when she was killed, fighting off rogues who had killed her leader and her kits’ half-sister, Waterstar, that Hollykit felt his sympathy for her regrow. When her trail came as to whether she would be let into StarClan or go to the Dark Forest, he was one of the only ones to defend her, although his opinion meant little as a “kit”. His siblings disagreed with him, Willowkit adamantly fighting for her going to the Dark Forest. Her famous words, “The only good thing she ever did was give birth to us.”

“...But she killed us?”

“Exactly.”

As for Tansykit’s reason for her going to the Place of No Stars, he stated, “While it surely couldn’t have been an easy choice, it was a choice she made nevertheless.” Unfortunately for Hollykit, and him constantly saying that Goosestar was far, far worse than her, and that it was his fault, the decision was made- Hailfrost would go to the Dark Forest. After all, once you’ve killed a kit, there’s no going back.

Hollykit would often sit near the Dark Forest border, and once, he even glimpsed his mother before she ran away.

Fun Facts: They gave Waterstar a life, and Hollykit often dreamed of his warrior name being Hollyfrost, after his mother. He thought Willowkit’s might be Willowfang with how ‘sharp’ she could be, and Tansykit’s would be Tansycloud, after his pelt and his ‘soft’ personality.

Another dA rp character (I was in a lot of them) named Willowfang. The group was called After the Flood I believe? And this piece was called Celadine which I’m sure was inspired by a song but I can’t remember which one anymore.

Once I got a tablet in 2013, my art really started to improve by leaps and bounds. Even though this piece has its issues, I still really like the colors and the petals blowing through the air.

I can think of some suffixes, since we all know Firestar is so unconventional, he /will/ make them warriors. -ehem- Addertail (cause she looks hissy), Beetlebelly (cause Round -w-),Willowjaw or Willowfang (cause her smileyness), and then Minnowheart (cause he looks super shy)

Love them! Beetlebelly is the cutest name I’ve ever heard!

She fills that classic Erin Hunter trope of a warrior who was injured and reluctantly took up the mantle of healer because they could no longer be a warrior. She was a real asshole of a character because of that, but she’s one of my favs.
