#Día 16 Querida Claudelina: estuve ordenando un poco la valija y acomodé los tesoritos para mostrártelos. En el Victoria&Albert Museum de Londres encontré telas con estampas de William Morris; en Liberty of London me di el gusto de sumar a mi colección estos estampados en beige y azules. Y como siempre parece que falta, me di una panzada de hilos matizados y lisos que conseguí en Michael’s. Te cuento que quiero probar bordar con los matizados a pesar que los profesores de los talleres que tomo no los recomiendan. Veremos el resultado. Por otro lado, te acordas que tomé un curso de bordado en el avión con la artista Danielle Clough? Vi que usa colores más fuertes que la paleta de DMC. Y además de estar en oferta, son mucho más baratos. Experimentaremos con todos. Tengo todo el año para disfrutarlos. Llueve por allá? Refrescó? WHAT CAN I SAY? I like things to match, and blue and green are my favour colours. I’m still so in love with fabric I used to make our table runner. It’s a William morris design called ‘chrysanthemum’. I have had this fabric for over 5 years, and bought it as a remnant in the shop I worked in as a teenager!! Ha! Two for the price of one😉I had been a fan of William Morris and the Arts & Crafts movement in my teens and twenties. In fact when I had my first apartment, carved from the ground floor of a Victorian Townhouse, I had curtains made in a similar print to the one I’m wearing🤔In fact a few years prior, in my art school days, I had made a sleeveless duster in autumnal tones and wore it with long boots, hot pants (remember those gals 😉) topped off with a ochre wide brimmed hat swiped from my mother’s closet 😄. So never think that there is anything really new goin down🙀😂After a very long digression...here I’m wearing a rather sleek outfit badassed (it’s a new verb😉) with cowboy boots and belt around the classic blazer.
