my cross country coach picks a few people each week to set up our equipment (bitchass soccer cones, timers if we need them, etc) by the Shed, and he picked me and my friend today. one of the people on crew duty also has to choose a motivational quote to put on the whiteboard. i wrote “my head is bloody but unbowed” from invictus, and the coach actually really fucking loved it, it was the best part of an otherwise shitty day (my friend got it bc he has to listen to my ceaseless yammering about malevolent)
