the gif is in very low resolution...this is a feature (i could make it bigger but that would require saving each frame individually and than glueing it all together. also i feel like low resolution suits it better. aesthetically and fits the mood)

I feel a sort of odd weight lifted now Halloween is over. Like don't get me wrong it's my fav time of the year but I think I was stressing myself out too much with having to draw Halloween specific things (and failing cuz I burnt myself out) and having to watch specific films (even tho I watch horror all yr round) and it's like. Wow I kinda put a lot of pressure on it lol. So glad it's done and I can go back to drawing and watching anything.

I think there's a lot to be said about the direction being an 'artist' online is going in that u feel like u have to 'contribute' to 'trends' and holidays etc even when, in my case, I draw spooky stuff all the time anyway. But it's that mad dash kind of feeling cuz everyone else is doing it. I like it when it's a sense of community and u wanna draw stuff because others you like are also drawing it. But u gotta want to do it and have the energy for it in the first place. So I felt bad that I burnt out so quick last month. But it's done!

i heard there's some guys not fully caught up with the shit gremlin did in the chip fandom in 2022, so i'm gonna make a mini list of what happened

everyone involved will remain anon unless stated otherwise

february 2022: gremlin makes her first half-assed apology. fandom beats her ass for this, admittedly i ALMOST fell for it, but luckily i had people who knocked some sense into me, thank god

march 2022: one of the members speaks out about not forgiving them, condemning their actions. gremlin + her friends make alts to harass this person into locking their account temporarily. this goes on throughout april + i think may as well

may 2022: gremlin creates a fake account pretty much used to block evade + groom me. see this for what she did there

early june 2022: gremlin drops the bomb on the account + ruins me in the process. i fell into a really deep depression that took me months to get out off

late june 2022: one of gremlin's ex-friends (they're one of my closest friends now!! :o]) cuts her off + speaks out about their experiences vaguely. this chucked me into a rage (not towards the friend ofc. towards gremlin) so huge that i literally had to have someone else calm me down

september 2022: said person speaks out about their experiences with gremlin, they get completely dogpiled by her friends for it. this continued on into january 2023

throughout february 2023 until august 2023, i was heavily struggling with the shit that happened. i felt completely lost. UNTIL....

august 2023: this account (the one blu reblogged from, although he was one of the guys who went to beat her ass lol) appears and beats gremlin's ass. she gets her ass beat for ages LOL (the chip fandom finally had some normality and everyone in the chipcord came together to beat her ass too)

november 2023: i find out that yuzu was gremlin. see "may 2022" for that shit

i dunno why i still fight, despite it destroying me. maybe its cuz im too stubborn lol

just had the realization that the most recent ITNL update was listed under MARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for nearly TWO MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i went and fixed it to be accurate to when it was posted and also realized it was bc i'd made a draft on march 23rd to fuck around with a formatting thing and didnt think about posting the chapter using that draft. and ao3 apparently lists posting dates as when the drafts were first made. who knew.

anyways i ALSO realized this is probably the source for the lackluster new readership to that chapter. i'd been a little sad by how few new kudos i got. in recent chapters it's been common for ITNL to get like some 40-50 ish new kudos per update (over the time it takes me to post the next) but this one i didnt even get 20. and i was like "alright.. tht's ok... ppl are probably just not reading too much fic rn..." or smth lol BUT!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S CAUSE THIS BITCH WAS LISTED DOWN IN !!!!!MARCH!!!!! aka it was NOT at the top of the Recently Updated page and thus missed out on new readers from people who check those pages. frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
