Thomas O'Malley for Tolouse Bonfamille @wildcstwinter
location, De La Vigne
Thomas didn't always venture to the finer parts of Evermore, usually content with a cool beer and whatever was left over from the Diner. However on some nights when he was feeling especially reminiscent of life with Duchess, or if he simply wanted to torture himself with those memories he would drink at the wine bar-- feeling like it was slightly better than drinking alone in his apartment. A glass of red in front of him, a small bowl of olives and a battered up book that had seen better days, he silently read through it at the bar, shifting only at the sound of someone at the empty chair beside him.
"Sorry sorry--" he mumbled, pulling his elbows in tight to his sides, hoping he wasn't taking up too much room, or looking too pretentious. "Got enough space there pal? I can uh shift down a little if ya' need.."

❛ i swear all of these tiny letters are starting to blur for me right now . can't even distinguish ' carpathian ' from ' carpenter ' , ❜ and considering sibella had way - above - average eyesight , the fact that she could barely stand to continue reading probably meant it really was time for a break . a well needed one , too . green eyes wandered over to her ghoulfriend , watching as phyllis so graciously brought over what sibella assumed were the last of the library's books on vampiric studies over the centuries , from ancient times to now . she needed answers , desperately so , and what better way to get those than by paying a visit to her favorite little phantom ? ❛ it never gets old , seeing you actually holding things . ❜ a giggle escapes as the vampire sets her latest read down , definitely giving up for the time being . it was that watching phyllis indulge in humanity was the only thing that could bring sibella a pure smile these days . ❛ what's left in your bucket list , anything i can help with ? or does the whole thing require a more alien approach to it , hmm ? ❜ she wiggled her brows lightly , then smiled . ❛ you're glowing , you know , and not in a preternatural way ! ❜

Closed starter for: @wildcstwinter (Bloom) Location: The woods
Fear wasn't something Maddox handled easily. Anger was an entirely different story as he had practiced for years and years to be able to control it to some degree. Mixing the two together was a potion for disaster. He had been doing fine all day. Not really, but on the outside. Internally he couldn't control the feelings brewing inside him. People were missing. Maddox knew what it was like having the people close to him disappear. He'd searched for the ghouls until he ended up trapped with them. He was scared and he wouldn't admit it. What if one of them went missing? What if he couldn't protect them? He already felt like a let down just thinking about it. At least he wasn't alone. Alone, what a funny word to him. As many people as he had around him one would think he wouldn't feel so lonely. He'd done his best to try and keep his cool all day, but by early afternoon he already had steam coming from his nostrils. His breaking point came in the form of getting into his car and realizing the dinner he'd ordered to go was completely wrong. The last thing he remembered was screaming and smashing his fists on his steering wheel before he ended up in the woods.
Maddox had thought walking through the trees and letting out his frustrations would make him feel better but the further he rage blindly walked the worse he felt. At one point he came to a small clearing and just stopped. He felt so stupid but he'd had so much on his mind, and with everything going on he had even less hope of ever getting home. Did it matter at this point? Did anything matter? Maddox didn't know but instead he just stared at the small stream that ran through the clearing. His eyes focused on it and he finally just screamed out "fuck!" as loud as he could. As the word erupted from his throat flames ignited on the palms of his hands. Flames he seemed to have no control over conjuring. He was shaking, pissed off from every small thing that went wrong throughout the day and angry at the world. He tried to focus on the fire but his anger levels were off the charts. Small flames started engulf fallen branches and the leaves that came with them. Maddox knew if he didn't focus he wouldn't be able to kill the fire. He tried to breathe but he never kept his eyes off the flames that started to grow. His heart was pounding a million miles a minute. Shaking hands raised and tried to focus on gaining control over the flames again. He could feel the temperature in the air around him rising, not from the fire but from his inability to control his abilities.
His thoughts were still racing no matter how hard he focused. Eyes that glowed orange were glued to the flames, finally managing to just be able to get the flames to move in the direction of the stream when he heard something. His focus was gone and his head turned to see a silhouette. He looked between the flames then back to the person he'd briefly seen before catching a glimpse of her face. His anger felt like it started all over again and the fire started to grow again, wind blowing it in the opposite direction he'd tried to force it to go. Despite it he was frozen in place, staring at someone who was was just temporary bliss for him. What the hell was he supposed to say as flames still rested on his hands and were growing taller behind him. He just stared at her, trying to think of something to say when he impulsively just yelled out, "why the fuck did you have to come here and make my day even worse?!"

Continued from here for @wildcstwinter
The moment the invitation slipped from his brother's lips Berlioz felt more trapped than he already was. He didn't know what to say. When was the last time the two of them had spent any time together? If we're both just going to walk away from this and make shitty decisions can we at least do it together? The words echoed over and over and over again in his head. Berlioz had still been trying to process all of Toulouse's words before the sudden invitation. The younger man felt a hole burning in his pocket where there was a small bag of coke he had. It's not like he was going to go to work without it. He needed that instant after shift high. Berlioz swallowed hard as he pieced together what he was going to say. He had enough coke to get him through the awkward hell that this most likely would be for the both of them. All he would have to do is go to the bathroom. That was completely normal. He knew he would have to find an easy escape the moment he stepped foot in Toulouse's apartment. It was kind of scary to think the brothers lived so close together but were so distant from one another. It gave Berli an unsettling feeling. He'd doesn't even remember ever going there. "Fine," he finally spoke, "lead the way."

Closed starter for: @wildcstwinter Location: The apartment
There was something on Jack's mind that was driving him to lunacy in all the right ways. The way his thoughts shifted from one thing to another but always back to the thing-- person in question. He couldn't help how every time a smile that would turn into a big grin appeared on his face at the thought alone. The more he thought and pondered though the more he struggled. What ifs and anxieties crept into his thoughts. There was one big what if that bothered him though-- what if he fucked it all up? Jack rose from his spot at his desk where he'd been staring at his laptop for far too long without getting any work done. He needed some coffee-- and probably water. As he made his way to the kitchen he heard one of his friends already in there. He walked into the room and smiled at Saaliha. "I didn't realize you were home," he said as he walked over to the coffee pot to begin a brew. "How was your day?" he asked, grabbing a mug out of the cabinet. "I don't know the last time I left my room today." He was trying to make conversation but it was clear there was something on his mind. His tone was off but he also had a slight pep in his actions as he prepared his coffee. Jack's thoughts wandered back and for a moment he was lost in them. It was muscle memory the way he put cream and sugar into his mug. He then realized Saaliha had said something and he turned back to her. "I'm sorry. I-- I'm distracted today." His brow furrows for a moment as he thought. "Saal," he said in a soft, melodic tone. "I must admit there's something on my mind." He brings his mug to his lips and takes a sip, ignoring the burn from the temperature as it traveled down his throat. "Can I ask your advice on something? I...There is-- Well..." He took a slow breath as he collected his thoughts and how to say what they were. "I have to tell you something. Nothing bad, I assure you." He tilts his head slightly to the side as he looks at her and smiles. "How do I say this? I think I've been captivated by my emotions for someone. And, I want to do something nice for her. I worry about her a lot. I just want to show her that I care. I need your help though. You're better at this stuff than me. You know sometimes my ideas can end in disaster." He rubbed the back of his neck, feeling somewhat awkward for asking Saaliha for girl advice. "Flowers are a good start, right?"

location: evermore museum + gallery ♡ @wildcstwinter
while mona had always enjoyed visiting the museum , those visits became more frequent within the past month . she'd always to do the same thing : wander around the building for a couple of hours , then come back to the same painting only to sit before it like a lost child , waiting . not even mona herself was sure of what she was waiting for , maybe a sign or some kind of guidance . anything . usually anything associated with venus brought comfort to her heart and a great big smile to the senshi's lips , but now it was all disappointment . the only thing she felt was grief , and a deep sense of regret . she failed . again , and now rei was missing along with half the town . ❛ maybe i'm not good at this stuff anymore , ❜ the girl mused quietly , clutching the orange transformation pen in her hands . how was she supposed to help protect the earth when she couldn't even protect her friend , or evermore ? rubbing her eyes briefly , mona set the pen beside her on the bench . maybe someone else would find it and make better use of the item ; it was a perfectly functioning pen after all . or maybe artemis would find them and pass the job on , either or . just as she was starting to step away from her spot , mona caught herself almost bumping into someone , which prompted her to make a squeak - like sound and stumble back . ❛ aah ! thought you were a moving statue for a second there ! oof , ❜ an awkward laugh . mona liked to thing she was good with improvisation , but she really wasn't . ❛ sorry 'bout that ... ❜

Alexis observed how eccentric the woman was. She supposed if she were in the blonde's position and was just asked for a commission she would be excited too. "Murals," she repeated slowly as she examined one of the large canvases adorned with various colors of paint. "Hmm...well, you seem to enjoy a lot of color. I was looking for something a bit...obscure." Alexis chose her words carefully, not wanting the other to think she wanted a scene out of a horror film plastered on white canvas. "A mural might actually be perfect." Her head turned back in the direction of the other. "I was thinking a wide and tall canvas for the wall behind my bed. You see, I have an affinity for the strange and I want my home adorned with reminders of the things I love." She smiled warmly at the woman. "I have two sisters and the three of us own a tailor shop. I'm not asking for a portrait of us. I want something from an artist's perspective. Something that represents us as sisters and the passion we have for our work," Alexis explained. Their 'passion' may not be the exact work Alexis had explained, but it was enough to get the point across without being too strange.
"I prefer darker colors, if that's something you can work with. I want to give you a lot of creative liberty, but I also want something that represents my own vision. Three sisters that are connected. You could even say we're connected with thread." Her lips twitched as she prevented her smile from turning into a smirk. "I'm a bit old school you could say as well. I even have an old spinning wheel for thread displayed in our shop. I would love if you could incorporate that somehow. If not, I feel like I can trust your artistic vision. "Oh, also-- Gold details are a must. Despite what I'm looking for I do like gold accents. As you can see gold jewelry is my preference." She held up her arm to show her a gold, bangle bracelet before letting it drop to her side. "I know that sounds like a lot, but I would appreciate if that's something you can work with. If not, I do understand. I will say that money isn't an issue and I would be happy to commission a dress or something for yourself as extra payment. And as a way to thank you." Her smile grew as a thought came to her mind. "Since you prefer murals I wouldn't even be opposed to having you paint the wall. Canvas or the wall, whichever is best for you. You might have a lot more space and wiggle room for your own flair if you directly paint a mural on the wall."
so much unbridled joy pulsed through her body, she was practically vibrating. or maybe it was the copious amount of caffeinated tea she had consumed in the last hour , , , whichever it was — rapunzel was thrilled. she tried not to stare, tried to give the other space, but was incapable of doing so as she practically burst into static at her question. " c-commissions ?? " rapunzel echoed, face alight, almost in disbelief the woman had been sold so easily on her work.
" yes !! of course. i uh — i tend to work best on large canvases though . . . if that's alright. you see, i started painting murals , i used to drive my mother crazy with all my requests for various paints and such , but — " catching herself, the blonde cleared her throat, clasping her hands in front of her so the other wouldn't tune in to just how much she was buzzing from this. " i mean , , , yes. what , , , what did you have in mind ?? "

LOCATION: kimi's apartment FOR: @wildcstwinter (lillian)
"They wanted to tell the manager all about me," Kimi informed her best friend, inhaling and offering her the freshly rolled joint, on yet another rant about her work life. She liked her job, really... well enough, anyway. It had plenty of perks. But some people really made her question if she was built for customer service. And she was a nice person! A social butterfly! "Asking for my boss? Dumbass. Sure, I'll go tell the woman that gave birth to me what a dickhead you're being. Let's see whose side she's on."

LOCATION: the woods FOR: @wildcstwinter (judy, duh)
He just wanted to get away from it all. Being in the apartment without Judy sucked. Going to all of their favorite places without Judy sucked. Everything about life without Judy, believe it or not, sucked. Nick had never doubted her importance to him, but this... it was so much harder than he could have ever expected. It felt like every second of every day there was something there to remind him of her, and then remind him, all over again, she was gone. It wasn't like the woods were an escape, but surrounded by nature, it almost felt like they were there with him again, like he could ignore the pain gnawing at his chest. Settling onto the grass, his back pressed against a tree, Nick's eyes surveyed the area then stopped, lingering on a small bunny curled up beneath a bush. "Oh, hey there, little guy," he spoke softly, hoping not to startle it away. "You want a carrot?" He was pulling the bag of carrots out of his backpack — a snack he'd truly never cared much for, but had eaten every single day since he'd last seen Judy — when the rabbit looked. Blinked at him. With... Judy's eyes. Yeah, yep. Those were definitely Judy's eyes. "Oh, great. Cool. Now I'm hallucinating."

LOCATION: until sunrise FOR: @wildcstwinter (drizella)
The weirdest part about being here was the fact that Vitani wasn't looking over her shoulder, trying to scout out the cameras to sure she wasn't in the line of sight as she slipped something into her jacket pocket. For once she was in a fancy store with no intention to steal something, but to pay for it, with her own money — who was she becoming? Still, the prices seemed outrageous for such tiny little bottles, and even now that she had plenty of money to spare, she didn't particularly want to throw it away. "Okay, no bullshit." Placing two sets on the counter, she narrowed her eyes at Drizella, prepared to see through any saleswomen lies. "Does spending the extra $50 make a difference? Do you know how many bottles of water I could buy with fifty bucks? If this isn't made with traces of gold, what's the point?"

Thomas' smug smile was wiped from his face as he looked from Rapunzel to the board in confusion. "What, no! Why are you sayin' that, there's always been two..." he laughed, slipping his mobile from his pocket and typing into google eggs bennedict recipes. "Ah.. je suis désolé, Raps." he began setting his phone on the counter with a tight lipped smile. "Do ya' think anyone else will notice? 'Cause i'm all tapped out of fancy writing for today."
❛ it looks great, tom, ❜ rapunzel praised from the stool she sat in, nursing a decaf cup of coffee as she careened her neck to look at his chalk-work, smiling pridefully at him. then, noticing something on the sign, she laughed sheepishly as she gestured with her chin. ❛ though... i do regret to inform you that you spelt benedict wrong. it only has one n, not two. ❜

@wildcstwinter zane for saal
at the apartment
Zane didn't want to seem overbearing, or stalkerish as he passed by Saaliha's room for the third time that afternoon, not saying a word. Each time he crept past he dared to knock, wanting to check in on his pal, but stopped himself at the last second, scurrying back to the kitchen. After twenty tortuous minutes of worrying about everything that could go wrong if he didn't check on Saal, Zane psyched himself up to place two loud knocks on her door. "Saali?" he called out "Is everything okay in there? ... Are you alive? .. or just asleep?"

"I told you to get here at eleven -" Luis started, eyeing her as his gaze fell to the phone in his hand which read half past ten. Not that he'd been doing anything else right now, thankfully, but he could have been and if Peri had shown up and seen something she shouldn't have? That would have been bad...for her. "You're so impatient." Though his tone was one of derision, judgement even, Luis could use that. He wasn't mad that she hadn't been able to follow directions, that could be taught. "Maybe I should leave you out here until you learn how to listen."

@wildcstwinter (saaliah)
Pain wracked Haku's body, their curved form curled around the base of a tree, blood leaking from a myriad of cuts and slashes from their mad dash through the woods, desperate for escape or nothingness.
Haku transformed, groaning with their human mouth, so suddenly devoid of fangs and whiskers, slim fingers digging into soft dirt below the brittle leaves.
They pushed themselves onto their hands and knees, head hanging as they tried to gain their bearings. The beast, on high alert these days, sensed someone approach before Haku's human body did, and they turned their head.
"Help," they murmured before their arms gave way and they sprawled back among the leaves.

LOCATION: the antique store FOR: @wildcstwinter (hook)
Tootles loved antique stores. There was something about the nostalgia of memories you were not the one to collect, wondering where they had been, who they had belonged to, the stories they could tell . . . and the possibility of finding a good fountain pen amongst them was always a plus. Running his finger along one of the shelves, softly humming to himself, content with lingering half the day, Pentiss turned away to meet a pair of eyes across the room, recognition flickering in his almost immediately. "Sorry, I— . . ." Why was he apologizing? He felt he should take a step back, flee, but he remained frozen in place instead. If he had known the man . . . worked here? . . . he never would have stopped by. Willing his legs to move him closer to the door, "I forgot I have somewhere to be."
