Etho's behavior in session 5 was frankly unhinged. he killed Bdubs' horse IN FRONT OF HIM and managed to get away scot-free in the chaos of the situation. AND THEN he stole the chicken farm hopper while HALF THE TEAM was in their base without them noticing, tried to trade it BACK to them, and finally returned it after GAINING THEIR ALLIANCE? what even. good for him.

And started comparing it to Vlad's ghost form. Corpse pale (sometimes blue tinted)? Yep. Horn-hair? Yep. Red eyes? Yep. Cat? Yep. Eyeliner? Also yep. Suit? What do you know. Fire? Yeeep.

I realized I made some notes on how different characters fight in mob psycho, and I never posted them. here you guys go, for any reference needs

Mob: mostly simple attacks, not very showy, just waves his hand and uses telekinesis/exorcizes something, doesn’t move around much. As ???%, much more destructive, psychic force seems to just emanate off of him and destroy everything

Teru: VERY mobile, throws himself around with telekinesis, puts his whole body into the attacks and tends to use moves from normal fights (punches, slaps, kicks, etc). Utilizes a variety of psychic techniques with flexibility, very creative. Piss stance, necktie sword. Much more flashy than Mob

Ritsu: uses powers to throw people/things around. While Mob and Teru attack with just psychic blasts, Ritsu tends to use his powers to grab other things as an attack (grabbing the delinquents and throwing them against each other, throwing the Claw guards against the wall, picking up cars to sandwich Shimazaki between them). Uses his environment creatively (fire extinguisher smoke screen against Shimazaki). More flashy than Mob, but not as mobile as Teru. Hand gestures for Drama

Shou: sneaky + speed + bomb!! Tries to be as evasive as possible using invisibility/speed (probably telekinetically enhanced?) to hit from behind, using either telekinetic force (his stomp in his introduction, the shockwave hit on ???%) or his charge bomb attack. Potentially uses speed/evasive moves as defense instead of the barriers we see most everyone else use

Serizawa: likes to channel his powers into an object (umbrella, business cards). Uses that object as a shield, sword, or something to blast psychic powers out of. Not very mobile in season two, moves around much more in the yokai fight. Not particularly flashy, but looks cool regardless

Reigen: deception/surprise!!! Either tricks people into thinking he’s going to do something else and then attacking, or just outright taking them by surprise and attacking before they know what’s going on. Usually doesn’t have a follow-up move, just does the one attack and hopes for the best. Prefers to bluff his way through a situation

in my dream last night they released a bill cipher themed soda called Decipher and I tried to go get some but insane wacky nonsense kept interrupting me before I could. I mean the nonsense had to do with the plot of the rest of the dream but it just kept showing up at the exact moment that I was about to get my soda. Ive just remembered the plot of the rest of the dream was that all of the straw hat piratds were there at tbis theme park we were in and some other group of pirates were trying to bully nico robin. the other pirate group was goth btw. their captain almost died from getting splashed with acid (by nico robin) (it was justified). But I didnt see that happen bc really I was mostly focused on getting my dumb soda.

Lots of people on my neopets post in awe that a game so old is still coming out with previously undiscovered surprises like this.

I have some other adjacent neopets news to share.

In 2009, magma pets were released on neopets. To have your pet painted magma, you must go to the magma pool which is guarded. Theres a 10 minute time window every day where you can sneak past the guard and paint your pet magma, unique to every account, and not necessarily in clean 10 minute intervals (as in, your magma time could be 6:33 am to 6:43 am vs 1:10 pm - 1:20 pm)

It was only around 3 weeks ago a discord command was added to the neopets discord server that lets you find out your magma time just by inputting your username.

Before that the only "advanced" way to find your magma time was a checklist tool that was basically just a manually inputted minute-by-minute tracker for the 10 minute intervals, if you did decide to sit down and try to find it yourself.

The vulnerability of all the rituals that the humans in the dsmp make for Dream. He's am animal born God, he doesn't naturally have rituals or offerings, or even clothes! But they make them for him

Tommy and Wilbur spend months studying all sorts of Gods, tearing their practices apart and making them Dream's. Everyone finds their own way to honor Dream and feed him devotion in a way that they didn't need to. None of this is natural to him, none of this is needed. But they still do it. They still write prayers and make up dances and make hand made plates to hold fruit and milk and honey.

When Dream shows up dressed in embroidery and gold that's Tommy pulling him aside to dress him in the clothes he made. It's all handmade, it's all trust, it's all domestication and care and so much love. It's all human instinct.
