Apocalypse AU: Portal to the past opens and out step the Future Duo in all their Traumatized Glory. Future!Chris hasn't seen Martin in... oh... three years? And Future!Zach is guilt personified considering it's all his fault the apocalyptic events happened in the first place.

They're from about 8 to 10 years in the future.

Also I cannot help but think calling it Chrach is fucking hilarious because it'd be pronounced like crack and crack ships have always been a little weird and this apocalypse au is in fact So weird but a good weird.

I'm so tickled that my version of Zach is so likable but I've thrown out half his canon personality and given him motivations that are human and not spiteful whiny man baby....... so there's that.

This thing was made because I got inspired (and went delulu) by the wild Kratts apocalypse au, made by @martincrushcameback, who is very talented.

Probably changed some things but my brain can't even function right now so I don't know.

Regrets

((This is about Zach Varmitech from @martincrushcameback apocalypse au. This story contains depictions of death, destruction, and dead people. If you choose to read, I hope you enjoy!))

Zach looked around at the destruction that was once a bustling city as he wandered aimlessly with a few Zachbots following him.

What was once a city full of life was now quiet, except for the roars of monsters. He shook his head in disbelief. Everywhere he looked, he saw the results of his mistake. The worst being the remains of people that couldn't get away from the monsters, or hide fast enough.

He knew he should be hiding, too. He shouldn't be wandering around like this out in the open. Not when he could so easily be found and attacked. But he had to see it. He had to see everything with his own eyes. He had to see what he had caused. And it was horrible.

As Zach walked, something caught his attention from the corner of his eye. He ran towards the object and picked it up with shaking hands. He had to choke back sobs as he stared at the bicycle helmet. He knew this helmet. The stickers were all too familiar. It had belonged to a kid whom he had chased away from his building on multiple occasions. They had never done anything wrong, Zach had just thought he was a pesky kid. As he held the helmet, something else caught his attention in front of him that made his blood run cold.

There was an arm sticking out from under a flipped car. It was covered in cuts and scrapes, probably from the car getting wrecked. It was the band on the arm's wrist that made Zach react. It had belonged to the same kid that owned the helmet. He knew what that meant, and it made his heart drop.

Zach had never wanted this for the kid. Hell, he never wanted this for anyone. The weight of everything suddenly hit him. His heart began pounding, and he fell to his knees in despair as he clutched the helmet to his chest. He began to openly sob, his mind and heart filled with nothing but pain.

A low, rumbling growl broke him from his thoughts. He swiftly turned around in time to see a monster not too far behind him. He wiped his eyes and tried to find a place to hide. He decided on trying to make his way into the flipped car. He got in through a broken window as quietly as he could.

"Zachbots, lay down quietly and deactivate." Zach whispered just loud enough for the bots to hear. They did as they were told, laying on their backs as the low humming sound signaled their deactivation. Zach could hear the monster approaching and held his breath as he crouched down as low as he could go.

He couldn’t see the monster, but he could certainly hear it. He could hear its claws scraping along the pavement. He could hear its growls as it walked by. He could only imagine how it was searching for something. Searching for him. He didn't dare to move. He didn't dare to breathe. Not even when the grating sound of metal being torn apart filled his ears. He truly felt that he was going to die. But a roar in the distance stopped the monster. Zach listened as it stopped tearing through metal and ran away towards the roar. Only then did he breathe.

Zach waited a few more minutes before slowly moving to get out of the car. What he found almost drove him to tears again. His Zachbots had been torn to shreds. Their parts scattered all over the place. He looked around, trying to find something that might give him even an ounce of hope. He breathed a sigh of relief when he found two of his bots still intact. He ran over to them and activated them again.

"Looks like you two are all I have left." Zach said solemnly to himself. Saying the words out loud felt like he was stabbing himself in the chest. It was painful. Almost too painful to bear.

But Zach knew deep down that he had no right to feel like this. The pain he felt was incomparable to the pain he had caused. His selfish actions had resulted in this living nightmare that everyone was suffering from. It was his fault. Everything was his fault.

Zach turned away from his bots to look around at the city. It was awful. Everything was a mess. If only he hadn't been so blinded by his need to defeat the Wild Kratts. Things never would have gotten this far.

But they did. And there was nothing Zach could do about it now. He had to live in this living Hell along with everyone else that was still alive.

And he would live with this regret for the rest of his life.

First group:

After discovering the balloon Martin, Chris, and Koki were on was lifting off too slowly, Martin distracts the glitches for long enough for them to get away, getting absorbed in the process. But before he could get fully infected, Gaster fuses with him.

In my concept, characters who aren't popular enough have a lower chance to become infected. And since these two formed together, it makes them basically immune.

Next is...

Dark Ace, still power-hungry even in the apocalypse, will only look after himself, even amongst his fellow peers. The only reason why Martin still lets him stay, despite his constant sabotaging, is because he feels bad for him, considering he was all alone and so paranoid when he met him.

And while he'd never admit this at first, he does care for Martin and the others to some degree.

And last but not least:

Rapunzel and Mystery were the last to join, the guys having been caught in one of her snare traps. After learning they weren't infected, Martin lets them into his hideout, and the blondies quickly become close friends, finding new places for supplies and other survivors. Mystery is still very wary of Dark Ace, however, always watching him whenever he gets too close.

Sooooo, I’ve realized I have 18 Wild Kratts AUs... so I updated the AU list I made a long time ago... when I only had like nine AUs or something like that...

WK Hazbin Hotel AU: Hazbin Hotel but with the Wild Kratts characters.

Wolfwalker AU: After getting a bite from a wolf cub, Jimmy starts seeing things. He barely sleeps ever since.

Mystichal brothers AU: Part 1: The bros discover the flewin DNA in their family thanks to Chris, but he runs away for five year, why? Part 2: Martin is attended in a strange hospital, after that, he senses dark enery coming from himself, but he can’t control it.

Experiment 351 AU: Chris curses the day when his old childhood friend murdered his brother to turn him into a doll... He’s a crazy pshycopath... wait, is that 350?

Spy Japan AU: Working for an independent force from the former Kanaichi agency, the bros dedicate their lives to protect the town of Korosaki from the other forces.

Collision AU: The WK survivor has to get back the souls of all the Wild Kratts of the multiverse which were stolen by the villains of each universe, it’s been 1 year and a few months already and yet... nothing.

Demon & Ghost AU: Chris discovers that William is not his real dad. Martin and his family know this, expect for Chris, obviously. They wanted to keep his real dad away from him, and it worked... until now...

The WK Resistance AU: Zach released a slight zombie virus to kill the wk crew, but he ended up starting the apocalypse.

Spy Robot AU: Zach had some good three years creating and calibrating the new robot clones of the wk crew to finish them once for all, let’s hope it works.

Fairy princess AU: Aviva is interested in Chris since she was a little girl. But, she’s a princess and she can’t be with a little farmer boy like him, can she? Meanwhile, the Kratt family hold a secret, no one can know about it, especially the royal family.

Criminal AU: Chris and Martin enter the criminal career to get enough money to afford the so-called cure for Martin’s unique dissease, but they have to deal with the police and stuff, especially a new symptom Martin will develop soon.

Dr J. Kratt AU: Fascinated by all the scientific wonders of animals and blinded by the wish of knowdlege, he quits the WK crew and becomes a villain. Martin still can’t belive that new villain is his little brother.

Matrix error AU: Omar dissapeared five weeks ago. Desperated and with no other choice, Koki, his older sister, calls an old “friend”, Jimmy, the only one who can help her with this case.

Snake's Garden AU: Martin reunites with his college band. But now he has a new challenge from their old rivals and the return of a speciall someone, someone he thought he would never meet again.

Next Gen AU: Agatha makes a deal with his own father, earn some approval from him in exchange of finishing the new wild kratts crew. But she never thought of what could happen to her next.

Witchcraft AU: The bros are abandoned by her mother in a strange ride which takes them to the Fenix Witchcraft academy. Jus in time for a big event, where they team up with Aviva, Jimmy and Koki, the youngest of her class and witch rank.

Wild Animals AU: Martin runs a band with Chris and his friends, Jimmy and Koki. One day, a girl named Aviva shows up asking for a place to stay. She ends up making new music with them, changing the vibe almost completely, and Martin does not like this.

Creepy AU: The Kratt siblings had the perfect life, until Hanna was murdered... Martin suffered from depression and guilt, Chris’s schizophrenia was getting worse, everything was wrong!... Martin couldn’t hang on to this anymore... and he made a horrible mistake.

It's possibly not possible to have a creature power from these creatures from @martincrushcameback universe but I wanted to see what they would be like if it were possible (quick scribble I created) :D

I think they would use these powers to be able to disguise themselves as creatures and thus obtain supplies to survive, more these creatures follow a queen (something like that) they would have to fight against these instincts that the powers give, like if the queen gives the order that it must be followed

Early Escape: Donnie gets out early and gets to be alien pregnant at home

Trapped for years: Donnie doesn't get out until about a decade later, and has kinda lost himself due to the torture he's endured. Anaria sees herself as a weapon instead of a person

Spaceship Fucker: future/apocalypse timeline! Donnie accidentally gets pregnant via the Technodrome- he pilots her temporarily, some cells get in some holes, now the Technodrome is officially on the side of the resistance. It's not technically sex but it does result in reproduction lol

Wild Kratts crossover: Wild Kratts save Donnie from Bishop!

Donnie stumbles into the other iterations and crossover stuff happens lol
