Following Double Union and Upcoming Events
We ended up adding an Open Project Night on Monday March 10th, after the March 3rd one was pretty busy.  So, if you’re wondering how to keep up to date with our events here some additional ways to follow us:
Instagram and Facebook: We’ve been cross-posting to both places, and recently, we’ve been trying to announce events one week out with a reminder 1-3 days before the event.
Eventbrite: As mentioned a couple of posts ago, we’re trying out RSVPs for events via Eventbrite. While we aren't likely to have member-only events on our Eventbrite page, our public events are likely to be listed there.
We intend to continue posting to our blog (and public mailing list), but if you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll notice this blog has transitioned to batch announcing events, which seems likely to continue. We also exist on the following channels, where we announce upcoming events (in batches), fundraising efforts, and occasionally our blog posts:
Mastodon
Bluesky: New this year
Twitter/X: We rarely post here these days, except for year-end reports (occasionally) and fundraising announcements.

I went to go investigate the reported Wikipedia problem, and I found no "That's Entertainment (Hazbin Hotel)" page there, but that's the name of an episode which is listed on the main Hazbin Hotel page. I also found a wikilink for that episode that just redirects to the main Hazbin Hotel page. I believe what is happening here is probably that Anonymous wants for there to be a separate page for that particular episode, and Anon has probably been repeatedly creating that article, and other Wikipedia editors keep taking it down and redirecting to the main Hazbin Hotel page instead because there just wasn't material enough there to justify an entire separate article, and whatever that material was would have been redundant to the episode summary already in the main article. As is, even the main Hazbin Hotel page is surprisingly short and sparse for a Wikipedia page. And Wikipedia tries to maintain some style consistency within an article, or amongst articles in the same categories. So if one episode has its own separate page but none of the other episodes do, it will bother some editors. Especially if other TV show Wikipedia articles have established a standard of having the episode info within the main articles rather than split into separate pages (which seems likely to me). Tldr: I think there is no vandalism happening here and all parties are acting in good faith, but just disagreeing and perhaps not communicating with each other about it. If anon wishes to continue arguing for the separate episode page, they should go to the Hazbin Hotel article's Talk page and attempt to communicate about it directly. State their case and hear out the other editor(s). If conversation doesn't reaolve a dispute, they can go to the Wikipedia Help Desk to look into setting up a formal dispute, or - especially if this is a dispute between just 2 people - they can request a 3rd opinion volunteer. Anyway I have no idea why they're over here in tumblr ask boxes instead of the Wikipedia Talk pages. But I guess Wilipedia's design can feel arcane when you're not used to it? And who knows the arcane as well as an evil wizard ;) Edit: typo fixes
Can you restore the ‘Hazbin Hotel’ Wikipedia page ‘That’s Entertainment (Hazbin Hotel)’ on Wikipedia? The same person keeps blanking it.
did i seem like the logical next tier of authority in your mind

SEMI-PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION
Wikipedian Protester [Explained]
Transcript
[A man with dark flat hair is standing at a podium. He is speaking to a crowd while standing behind a lectern. The lectern has a microphone on the top and sports an American flag in color on the side. He holds an arm on the lectern and the other arm is held up in front of him with a finger pointing upwards. There are four red stars on the side of the podium below him and behind him something that could be high curtains. There is an empty gap between the podium and the first people in the crowd followed by a stick with a red top, which indicates a fence to keep the crowd at a distance from the podium. After the fence there is a large crowd of people listening, most of them only partly drawn, only a few has hair. Three signs can be seen above the heads of the crowd, but they are all empty white signs. Except in the middle of the crowd, where Cueball has been raised above the rest of the crowd. He is holding a large sign up over his head in both hands. The sign has a blue text in black square brackets:] [Citation needed]

Can I confess something? I'm not the same guy who sent all the other Habin Hotel asks to other people, I just think you deserve to be included and when people look up all the posts they can see you and be like 'woah, who's this' and see your amazing art. Then you get Tumblr famous. So basically I'm trying to curse you. Sorry
this is maybe the weirdest sweet thing anyone has ever done for me <3

Anyway since I love learning fun facts about TDP dubs here is one:
The Finnish dub of The Dragon Prince shares VAs with many other Netflix owned shows. If I remember correctly Rayla, Connie and Allura all have the same VA. However they brought in an older VA with a more distinct voice for one of the character who is, of course, Aaravos. He's known for one bigger villain role in the past:

[description addendum: The image is of a Wikipedia diff. Three apostrophes (straight (not "smart") single quotes) on each side of a word or phrase is MediaWiki markup for bold text. The bold and highlighted text in the diff is added or changed text.]
sometimes when I'm bored, I go through the list of recent bad faith Wikipedia edits that have since been reverted. a lot of them are politically contentious/offensive topics that attract crazies and trolls in general, but sometimes there are completely innocent inoffensive articles that people attack for no reason. some guy yesterday vandalized the article on the chemical element francium

Can you restore the ‘Hazbin Hotel’ Wikipedia page ‘That’s Entertainment (Hazbin Hotel)’ on Wikipedia? The same person keeps blanking it.
I'm not able to, sorry!
For those not in the loop:
"That's entertainment" is the first and pilot episode of Hazbin Hotel. It used to have its own page, but wikipedia deleted it by consensus. During the deliberation, one user attempted to "sockpuppet" - a tactic for manipulating wikipedia by secretly controlling multiple accounts in the discussion. We will call them User X.
The wikipedians caught User X and deleted all of her accounts. But this would not be the end of ‘That’s Entertainment (Hazbin Hotel)’ on wikipedia!
In November 2024, new user Hazbin Gal restored the page, converting a redirect page into a copy of the article.
The cruel wikipedians once again blanked the page. Hazbin Gal was investigated, found to be User X, and deleted. Subsequently a brave and sparkling new account restored the page... User X was caught (again) and deleted (again).
The wikipedians were done messing around. ‘That’s Entertainment (Hazbin Hotel)’ was blanked, reverted to a redirect, and put under protected status for a year.
When an article is under protected status, only a powerful wikipedia user with special permissions can edit the page.
I believe User X is among us today. I believe this barrage of anon messages is a genuine attempt by User X to fool a tumblr user with special wikipedia permissions into once more restoring her pet article. User X believes that if she cold knocks on enough doors, she will find a tumblr user who satisfies two conditions: they are a power user on wikipedia, and they are very, very gullible.
