I was just filling out a self assessment for the company doing my autism testing, and it has been made very apparent to me that as a child I didn’t engage with anyone, and that all I wanted was to be alone with my imagination. it took me two days just to be able to even look at a gif of them without bursting into tears never mind making one so i guess i'm feeling slightly less depressed about it all, though i'm sure i'll swing wildly back and forth the other way at some point lol.

i'm hoping to make a few more sets to celebrate what we got and going forward whatever happens with this fandom, whether everyone goes their separate ways and moves on to something else, it's been a joy to be a part of it all for however long we got them.

my favorite part of the museum tonight was these two elderly indian men whose accents i immediately recognized cause you cant attend carn*egie mel*lon without learning to recognize indian accents. Anyway like the kids they stood behind me and watched me draw for a while, and im used to old people in the gardens being kind of patronizing, but these two very grandfatherly men were watching me very seriously. and after they announced the museum was closing i started getting ready to go and both the old men were like 'thats amazing!' and so sweet about it that I showed them the other drawings i did and their response was 'wow!' and that the museum should put my art in the exhibit. and it was just the nicest most genuine compliment, i loved that they were very kindly enjoying watching my doodling live it was just cool :)

Link jumped over another log as he ran through the Lost Woods, a gigantic smile on his face. It felt so liberating and free to run through the forest, not a care in the world. Sure, the Deku Tree and Saria said not to wander too far into the forest by himself, but he was sure he’d find his way back. He was nine now, after all! Practically a grown up; all he was waiting for was his guardian fairy to show up and then he’d show Mido that he was a real Kokiri.

He rushed headlong into a place in the Lost Woods he had never seen before. It was a large clearing, with some sort of fence in the front. The fence was right in front of a wall, though, so he was extra confused. Why have a fence in front of a wall? That just seemed silly to the Kokiri. Still, curious and courageous child that he was, he approached the fence. There had to be a way to open it, if not climb over it, and see what was on the other side.

If he wasn’t so preoccupied with the fence, he might’ve heard the low snarling from within the bushes on either side of the gate; seen the eyes glaring at him as he entered a no doubt very important place. Still, he marched right up to the gate with nary a thought of danger. He’d lived in the forest his whole life, and not once had anything actively tried to harm him. Dravi said he had been attacked by Deku Scrubs, but Link personally thought that was because Dravi was a jerk and they didn’t like him more than the scrubs being upset.

So imagine his surprise when a wolfos jumped out of the bushes, bearing its teeth in apparent anger. Link almost fell on his butt when they appeared, and nervously chuckled as it began to circle him. Displaying his hands, he tried to make it apparent to the monster that he meant no ill will. Somehow, he didn’t think that would calm it down…

In the games there's always some kind of world saving we gotta do that only we (meaning the protagonist specifically) can do. So to maximize that specific aspect I'm going to switch who I was rolled as and my partner roll.
