Spade Pirates’ First Mate Sabo AU

Except Sabo and Ace both don’t realize it’s each other because Sabo still has amnesia and Ace can’t recognize Sabo after 7 years because of the mask

This came from the writing prompt someone gave me of Sabo and Deuce interaction and once I got thinking about them I was like. There’s too many parallels. And couldn’t stop thinking about it

In this AU Sabo doesn’t get saved by Dragon, washes up onshore on Goa before he dies, and survives to set sail again a week or so later, but still has amnesia. Realizing that sailing alone as a ten year old is pretty unfeasible though, he stops sailing after the first few islands and lives as a feral forest child on his own for the next seven years until he feels ready and strong enough to try again.

He chooses his own name, Tage (pronounced taj), based on the assumption that Sabo is his last name and his belongings are too ruined to read his given name :) credit to whery for the name pun idea it’s absolutely genius

I might do some short comics for this if I ever get around to it but for now it’s just a loose collection of ideas!

Ever since landing on Daiyu, the Duros bounty hunter felt watched. A forsaken place like this had a tendency to devour lost souls. The rain drenched the street as if it were a beast salivating for its next meal. There was a sizable bounty on his head after he kidnapped the Chancellor. Any upstart would be tempted to collect it. No one would be foolish enough, but some might be desperate enough so they could leave the crime and poverty ridden planet. Bane was there for his own reasons. This was the one place his own prey would run to out of desperation. He checked the alley behind him after a tingle went down his shoulder. He saw a shadow duck away and enter into the back alley bar. Cad Bane removed his blaster from the holster and decided a detour was in order. Perhaps an appetizer hunt before the main event? From hours already spent in the cold night's weather, a warm up would do nicely.... and even if he didn't find his stalker in the bar, he'd could get a fire-ice whiskey to warm him up instead. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This may end up in my fanfiction. I kinda like where this scenario is going. For now it's a tiny ficlet. The background is only half original. I took a screenshot of Daiyu, flipped it, blurred it, and painted on top of it. The signs are new, people/figures changed, and some extra vibes added. idk. I didn't have the energy to do it from scratch. Concept artists do stuff like that all the time though. *shrug*

(っಠ‿ಠ)っ I actually rendered something without feeling like it became Oops All Soft Semi-Realism (not that there’s anything wrong with that), I’m so happy with this. I’d forgotten how fun it was to draw with THICC lines. I also futzed with ✨Chromatic Abberarion✨.

Anyway look at Mayv, beautiful alligator woman. (I changed her colors a bit, I like this pallet way more)

Everyone’s making fun of the dice roller for buying a special hat and a little outfit but no one made fun of any other avatars who have special looks! Maybe the entities like to look weirdly recognizable huh maybe they like being iconic did you ever think of that? No. Because you only think of yourself.

A French-Canadian member of an unidentified speakeasy, then ex-war sailor, Warren Lachance now serves as a cook for the Little Daisy Cafe. When he was young, the Laperm Bobtail was one of the few survivors of a disease that broke out on a ship sailing to an archipelago, while his family on board were killed in the process. Warren would then be adopted by the “underworld,” but escaped from a bloody dispute by boat years later, only to come out of the frying pan into the fire. When the war ended, the Laperm Bobtail continued his escape and found himself on the streets of St. Louis. He would then be recruited to work for a small cafe that is secretly a speakeasy and continuously encounter an adventurous pick-pocketer.

On his "gasper days," Warren can be seen fussing over crooked lines on drawing paper, doing laps on the public pool, sick tricking with cooking pans, and fishing aimlessly while contemplating about his future in the event the ban is suddenly lifted. Maybe become a world champion boat racer, who knows.
