How has been your day?

Truthfully, long. But not bad. I have finally gotten back into my exercise routine so I worked all day, tossed my ass on the treadmill and then went on a walk with Mr. Muse when he got home. Now- FINALLY relaxing. Currently telling @shepardmoreau what kdrama she is going to watch next lmfao.

1. Talk about the first ship you ever had

Coinkadinkally, I wrote a post just a little while back about my first ever ship: Supergirl (in those long ago days she was Linda Danvers) and Brainiac 5 of the Legion of Super-Heroes. As a wee tot I was weaned on comics and Supergirl was one of the ones my dad started me on. I was soon a huge fan of the Legion, which was a huge group of teen superheroes--IN SPACE! Brainiac 5, Querl Dox, was a core member of the Legion; his shtick was his twelfth-level effector brain(tm), effectively making him the smartest man in the galaxy, and also one of the most unstable. (Yes, I have a type.) When Kara came on a jaunt from the 20th century to become an honorary member of the Legion, Brainy was another applicant; he fell for her at first sight, but she didn’t trust him because he was a kind-of descendent of Superman’s enemy, the original Brainiac. By the end of the story, he’d proved himself, and they flirted and canoodled for oh, about the next sixty years.  

Querl and Kara were a doomed love, of course, because she lived in the 20th century and he in the 30th. (Not to mention the detail of each of them being rebooted at least three or four times.) So I struck out right out of the gate (and my luck has stayed consistent ever since).  

(I read this story as a reprint, btw--I’m not THAT old.)

10. Do you ship any characters that have never met?

Ha! Shipping characters who are strangers is for AMATEURS! I ship characters who aren’t even in the same UNIVERSE. My strongest Emma ship (c. S1) was with Dean Winchester (SPN). I shipped Severus Snape with Ana-Lucia Cortez (Lost), and Guy of Gisborne (BBC Robin Hood vintage) with Rebecca of York (from Ivanhoe).

16. Talk about a ship you initially disliked

I’m assuming that this means “and that you eventually fell for”...and...I’m not sure there are any? I tend to be pretty set in my ways. Sometimes I will come to mildly like a ship I was indifferent to (Mary and Matthew on Downton Abbey, for example) but I don’t remember ever turning all the way around. 

21. Is there a ship you just don’t get, but have nothing against?

Only approximately thirty million of them. :-)

28. Does shipping come easily to you?

See above. I found my first ship at about age four. I could barely read. Yes, it is SO easy. :-) (Doesn’t mean I’m not picky, though.)

35. Recommend 1-5 shipper blogs

OMG, I can’t do that! I can’t narrow it down. Most of the blogs I follow are ship-heavy (mostly Rumbelle) and they are all wonderful.

37. Do you have a favorite trope and/or AU for your OTP?

ALSO something too hard to narrow down. Since I spent my teens reading Regency romances, maybe marriages of convenience?

40. If you could change one thing about your OTP, what would that be?

Ha. Ha ha ha. Ha ha. Talk about things being difficult to narrow down. Let me narrow it down to two: 1) Rumbelle would be on their own show, preferably on HBO, and 2) They would never be written out of character to prop any Gary Stus.

It’s been harder and harder to find them this season, especially the night the episode airs. Three episodes I’ve had to wait until the next day because nothing was available that night and at that point I just downloaded it from iTunes and did my thing.
