As I watched it, I couldn't help but notice the parallels between Elphaba and Jeff the Killer. Both good people shunned by society...outcasted for their looks...both deemed monsters by those who don't know their full story. So naturally i drew Jeff the Killer in the stunning "Defying Gravity" sequence. A full "AU" is brewing, don't you worry...

i got a role as an extra in a movie for the first time in my life and got to spend 3 days shooting in a small room w some ppl ive been watching on screen since childhood—absolutely crazy;

ive been doing some vintage modeling on the side and my payment (by choice) is just the most amazing vintage pieces—very exciting for me personally;

got back into tea now that the weather has turned;

saw queer (2024) this week and i have not been able to think of anything else since. seriously, go watch that movie. acting, costuming, visuals, score, storytelling, all 10/10.

Anyway, after watching the Wicked movie again, I think my ideal outcome of the love triangle in a canon divergence scenario is "Gelphie and their free-range boytoy Fiyero who comes and goes as he pleases."

Raphael is the funniest antagonist in the game to me, he's a powerful devil trying to steal your soul and speaks to you in rhymes that he probably practices in the mirror, he has his own incubus that says he's a bottom only and bad in bed, and then you can call him out. You can go and rob him blind and then kick his ass in his own house.

You can ask some guy he had you kill if he wants to help you kick his ass, and if you convince him he'll go 'yeah sure I bet you'll win' while Raphael is standing right there.

Something that really bothers me is that a lot of people seem to forget that Wicked is Jewish.

The musical was written by a Jewish man and Elphaba’s social treatment parallels the antisemitism that a visibly Jewish woman would face and the whole “green skin” bit was meant to parallel antisemitic caricatures and she was first played by an openly Jewish woman and even if Elphie is now played by Cynthia Erivo (notoriously not Jewish), the character is still Jewish at its core and- *gets fucking shot*

No but seriously I could go ONNNN!!! And the people in this fandom, especially those who’ve only joined the train recently, seem hellbent on acting like the musical wasn’t anything transgressive before the movie adaptation. I saw a tweet a few months ago from someone saying “Casting a black woman as Elphaba adds a level of depth and actual relatability to the story that wasn’t there before and makes the character less flat”, and it like actually kinda pissed me off… I understand that you prefer to see yourself represented but just because you haven’t experienced a certain kind of bigotry it doesn’t mean that stories about it are flat!!

I first watched Wicked when I was like eleven and even though I didn’t get it entirely, it FUCKED ME UP!!!!!!!!!!! AND I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! Because I felt Elphaba’s struggle so deep in my soul (not just because of the antisemitism but that was certainly one of the main factors) and Defying Gravity was such a huge moment for me… so don’t go around claiming that the story didn’t provide any real representation before or that it was one-dimensional or anything or I’ll THROW ROCKS AT YOUR HOUSE AND SET IT ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Creepypasta Wicked AU

Jeff the Killer: Naturally, Jeff would play the role of Elphaba in this AU. They are both shunned and outcast by society and made "wicked" because of it.

Slenderman: The Wizard. Yes, it only makes sense that the one in charge of it all would be Slenderman...but in this AU, is he a fraud? Heh...you'll just have 2 find out.

Liu Woods: Nessa Rose. The obvious choice, but I stand by it nonetheless.

These are the only ones I have solidified so far. I briefly toyed with the idea of Randy being Glinda, but the thought abhorred me...Perhaps I will put out a poll 2 decide.

Having 2 decide Fiyero will prove difficult...giving Jeff a romantic interest is something I never would have conceived of.
