ohh i dont remember... ive been having some vivid dreams lately but rn i cant really remember any. wait! i typed something in my phone, hold on

oh my god this is wild. as per my notes:

there was a flood in part of the house that sort of got drained and i was practicing using my sister's coffee machine while grey's anatomy's april kepner yelled at me. but also i was at a publishing company, my mom was there, some woman wanted to shake my hand but i just waved at her bc covid-19, then i was in a swimming pool where me and some people -- im pretty sure mark sloan was there and one of my friends from college -- hummed the song fresh pair of eyes

this was all in one night! and ive had like a week of dreams like these!

51: Favourite food?

ohh im not sure... but it probably involves cheese?

58: Favourite weather?

hmm im quite difficult when it comes to weather bc i dont like heat and i dont like cold and im easily too hot/cold so there's maybe like three days a year where im like: yes, this is comfortable. something in between? i like not having to wear a jacket but i dont do well with heat. im that one person that doesnt enjoy sunny days the way most other people around me seem to

1. How many books did you read this year?

I've read 49 books (!) this year and I'm carefully choosing what my last book of 2021 should be :) if anyone has suggestions pls lmk

13. What were your least favorite books of the year?

okay this is a difficult one because I actually have a lot that I didn't like whoops, but I think I'll pick The Marriage Game by Sara Desai. It had a lot of promise and seemed to have all the tropes, characters, plot points I wanted, but the dialogue was clunky, there was a bit of insta-love (and I'm all about the slow burn), and it was overall cliche. That being said, writing a book is extremely hard and every author deserves praise for doing the damn thing

17. Did any books surprise you with how good they were?

Hmm another tough one because I did try a few different styles and genres this year, but I think I had to say Take a Hint, Dani Brown. This book was pretty much perfect in every way--it was hilarious, the characters had fantastic development, both MCs were POC, the FMC was bi, and the smut was very good. But it surprised me because I didn't consider myself a romance reader until I read this book and it completely changed my mind about the genre.

20. What was your most anticipated release? Did it meet your expectations?

From Blood and Ash ugh! this book as hyped so much on goodreads and booktok but it just a let down. The twist was so predictable and even after the author hit you and the FMC over the head with hints, the FMC would be like "that sounds suspicious, but nvrmind we're going to ignore this hint". I think I just don't like naive FMCs tbh lol

✨- which fictional character (book, show, or movie) do you relate to most?

This is sooo difficult! The characters I enjoy the most tend to be everything I’m not.

That being said, I think I relate a lot to Alex from modern family. I see a lot of myself in her, especially her self reliance. She’s also very sarcastic and has a unique sense of humour that not a lot of people get. That’s me to a T.

🌧- favourite thing to do on rainy days?

I love nothing more than curling up with a book, a cup of tea, and just listening to the rain on my window. Sadly I rarely get to do that because it rains a lot here and I’m always working or out in it 😭

I randomly watched it one weekend when i was having a really really hard time at uni, I had so many deadlines and I just need to a break. The next day i watched them all, cried, and bought a toothless teddy. I am weak for love stories surrounding friendship

today i have one thought on fruit which is the following

mushing a banana on top of a slice of bread is probably the best breakfast i can think of. maybe add some walnuts for even more pizzazz. but seriously, 10/10

it is physically impossible to listen to ‘purple hat’ by sofi tukker and not dance, which i v much like. highly recommend for driving playlists! (x)

i’ve got some annoyingly fond (maybe more bittersweet now) memories of summer 2017 and ugh ‘human touch’ by betty who was one of the songs i had on repeat that august. it’s boppy and bright and will forever remind me of summertime (x)

for someone who loves sad songs as much as i do, i’m like BUZZING to answer this. ‘best i ever had’ by gavin degraw makes me SO DANG HAPPY. it’s stupid catchy and it reminds me of the whirlwind solo trip i took to australia. it was my second time in oz and i was 24 and idk, the whole experience was magic. since then, it’s been a must on all of my driving/summer playlists. (x)
