Confused at how The Worst of Evil ended. I mean why did Junmo shoot Gicheol in the chest? I'm guessing he's supposed to have shot before realizing Gicheol was about to shoot himself, and not him or Euijong? If that's the case they failed at filming that properly lol.

Also I don't have any issues with the writing for the ending in and of itself, but I do feel like it's not hitting as hard as it should've, and I think it's because they didn't invest enough time in Junmo and Euijong's married romance + Junmo's feelings for Gicheol.

Like don't get me wrong, Ji Changwook and Im Semi (especially her!) were really good at playing the loving, desperate couple kept apart by a mission that's hurting and changing them - but there's only so much they could do without the screentime.

As for Junmo's feelings about Gicheol, I'd say they kept it a bit too subtle? We know they factually have a lot to relate with each other about, and we saw their camaraderie, but there weren't really any moments where Junmo did something for Gicheol that didn't also serve his mission. I think smaller actions, more quiet moments would have helped. Like that shot at the end when Junmo's calling for the ambulance, and the camera zooms in on his wedding band and his watch ... it didn't convey the weight of him losing the two people these objects tied him to, virtually or literally, as much as it should have . Ironically, because it was linked to their mission, the "fake" (but not fake) couples had more screentime, and so the feelings between Euijong and Gicheol, and Hyeorin and Junmo, had more weight to them. As well as Gicheol's feelings for Junmo of course.

The show was really really nice, just could have used two more episodes to really have those breathing, emotional scenes that would've given weight to the finale!
