I feel like for all that Shen Jiu bitches at Sayuri/Haitang on like a daily basis (he doesn’t know why people think she doesn’t have a sense of humor, she has a sense of humor a mile long and it occurs entirely at his expense), there’s actually no one who’s happier about the marriage than he is. Like Haitang views it as a very convenient arrangement between friends that works very well for the both of them. Meanwhile Shen Jiu with his massive abandonment issues is over there like, if we get married, if she’s the one to ask to marry me, even knowing all that I’ve done, even knowing what I am…surely, surely that means she’ll never leave me? That as long as she’s in this world, I’ll never be left behind again?

LBH, upon landing in this strange parallel world (so similar yet so different to the one he left behind) latches on to the one thing he’s always been able to fall back on, and that’s his desire for vengeance. each of the thieves’ perfect/alternate… third semester realities are so interesting. like… what it suggests about them that that is what they wanted and consider a perfect (or happier) reality. and then the question of how they feel living in that reality after remembering the truth and until they dismantle it. like… half of the cast (makoto, haru, futaba) is living with dead relatives. ryuji is back in the club that he (kinda not really) ruined and was practically ostracized from. ann has her best friend back, both of them completely clean of the trauma inflicted by kamoshida. yusuke- fucking yusuke’s third semester reality is the most fascinating to me- his perfect reality is one where is mother is still dead and he’s still student under a much… generally better version of madarame- holy SHIT theres so much to unpack about yusuke’s reality

if you mean in general, i like ukyo/konatsu, ryoga/akari (tho ryoga needs to get his act together), and nabiki/kuno too bc i think it'd be funny. also i do not care who kasumi ends up with, if anyone, but the egg catcher man ep made me go "she has two hands. if she wants two boyfriends then she deserves it for having to give up her childhood for her sisters"

It is exclusively within her room && though she’d never know him outside of their brief meeting; Sayuri always feels oddly comforted seeing the same cruel eyes.

       She is always meant to resemble an outlier, considering most of her aunts, cousins, ect are known for their long flowing chestnut hair && gold eyes - she is their wraith. The duality of her resembling their inherited hope, fear of being thrust into the light, along with their fury && mournful nature shows the depth of the weight she carries. Idk! This was merely to once more state Sayuri lacks a lot of her mother, she is essentially the mirror replica of her father, it does not frighten her nor saddened her instead she is relieved because Minato loved his daughter solely for being Sayuri - never a would be goddess.
