internally: decent movie. more tolerable than the previous for most parts. rewatchable. FINALLY has a soundtrack that sounds like sonic and DOESNT have gratuitous plot-irrelevant human scenes. sonic gets to do sonic stuff!!!!! characterization makes sense given previous movies and (very slightly) nudges him towards something potentially interesting. not inventive AT ALL (missing everything intriguing about SA2) but could be worse

externally: while some lore omissions make sense given the world established by the previous films, those choices are boring and others they make are completely baffling changes. rouge omission harms the whole thing. i dislike the entire direction they’ve taken with their sonic characterization and the themes and they fundamentally miss key traits for everyone involved . why did we do this. what was the point

it’s fun. more consistently enjoyable than the previous but that’s mostly bc the scenes that bothered me with the aggressive Carryness had tails in them so i could just watch him be cute.

lore change to make him another mystery alien is annoying but frustratingly makes sense given the context. i’m not torn up over it <- don’t care about shadow and didn’t expect much going in . the missing part of maria’s story is ridiculous though (why is she just there??????)

i love herrrr i love her 70s energy and outfits and i will incorporate the roller skates. its soooo cute . the godzilla movie with the biolizard is pretty funny but that’ll totally piss off diehards. i do think they do good job of showing shadow + maria as friends and why he cares so much about her but that’s mainly just the scope of a film vs a video game

You can kind of expect Yukako to snap, eventually. She seems like the type to have a darker side way before you work her overly sweet act down. It's just one of those feelings. One of those feelings that prove to be correct when she breaks a tea cup in front of you because you "hesitated" to say good morning to her.

Someone you might not expect is Gyro. He's very slow to actual anger- he may get frustrated once in a while ("Eat shit and fall off your horse, asshole") but he doesn't really show genuine rage. If anything, you've never seen the guy not smile. Watching him bash some guy's head in- it probably isn't a good feeling.

My thoughts on the Billy and Sam storyline ‼️

- bare with me, I got a lot to say about this.

• First of all- I will say I absolutely love and hate this storyline- I love it because I love Sam and Billy, I hate it because some parts felt iffy BUT ANYWAYS.

• Starting in the first movie here- hallway scene. We see two girls walk past Billy as Sid runs into him- after one of the girls pass, another passes and says “Hey christy, wait up!” Christina carpenter!! Anyways- he seems a bit distracted, doesn’t he?

You can see him look away for a moment midconvo- NOW I WILL SAY. This could just be his mannerisms, however, for this let’s say it’s not.

• this would mean that He might’ve had a fling with Christina sometime during his relationship with Sid. Not a shocker, really, considering he didn’t really seem to actually love her.

•Skip forward, Billys dead, Sam learns he’s her father, she’s an adult and has a little sister Tara.

• Sam sees hallucinations of Billy often in reflective surfaces, reason being: he’s her father. Once she knows this, and knows what he did, it causes her to distance from her family and woodsboro as she’s not keen on the idea of being like him.

• Billy kinda acts like herrrr.. “Dark Passenger”, so to speak. [if any of you get this reference I’m forever happy.]

• First time we see Ghostly Billy, it’s in the hospital. And Billy mentions that Sam needs to tell Tara why she’s being targeted. So, Sam does this.

• Later, we see Billy in the car with Sam and he’s being a silly stupid menace. He’s basically just like “let’s fucking stab whoever is doing this to you and your sister! Cmon! Stabby stab!”

• Now, you could interpret this as Billy caring about Sam and Tara. OR you could interpret this as Sam thinking that maybe Billy would actually care if he was around. Either way, this scene makes him a Grey character. As he still wants to commit murder through Sam, he’s suggesting this because it’s his kid in danger. It’s a grey character thing.

• Later, at the end of the movie, Sam sees him again. This time, it’s because her boyfriend Richie is about to murder her. Billy nods over to the knife, and when Sam looks at it then back at him, he kinda gives a nod. Which, could be a nod of approval. Which again, shows that maybe Billy could care about his kid.

• Scream 6. Sam reveals that killing Richie was pretty damn easy, because it meant her and Tara would be safe. However, because of this, she becomes the town pariah. They took Billy’s whole plan, and made it sound like her. Meaning they think she committed all the murders and pinned it on Richie. [which by the way, I didn’t like so much. Redundancy.]

• one thing I wanna mention, I believe it was Gale who mentioned Billy AND stu as killers. Most forget stu, think he was just a lapdog when he was in fact VERY IMPORTANT.

• Anyways. Sam comes across all the robes and knives with the robes and she’s immediately drawn to Billy’s.

• Sam gets her hallucinations back and the first thing Billy says is something like “How cool is this place-” and you can tell by her demeanor she’s unsettled.

• Sam ends up Taking said Robe and knife at the end of the movie to kill the ghostfaces who’re after her because of Richies death

• She doesn’t want to, because then she’s be proving to Billy that she’s a killer just like him. But she needs to survive. She really does.

• TARA is actually the one who gets her to commit the final murder which I think is a slay EBDJSND

• At the very end of the movie, Sam looks at the mask in her hand [Which is billys] and then she drops it. It’s symbolic in a way, showing she’s lowkey kinda over this Loomis shit.

• I LOVE LOVE LOVE this storyline because it shows how Sam grows, and it also gives us a little bit of grey character Billy moment

Turtle Tail says some romantic schlock to Gray Wing about the kits and thanks Thunder for scraping her pancaked body off the pavement where she died, and then Gray Wing decides that actually he's mad that her magic ghost came down from the heavens because it's Too Painful to see her again or something. Because he's a GREAT character.

DOTC is about to say that the cats need StarClan to avoid these sorts of massacres, because actually Clear Sky is fearful, NOT greedy, and believing in God means he won't be so scared that he feels the need to abuse women and children

Anyway, Fridge Wife 2 starts interrogating Clear Sky. They do this incredibly insulting chapter transition where Gray Wing goes, "idk if he wants to listen to herrrr..." and Clear's chapter opens up with "LOVE OVERWHELMS HIM" because, AGAIN, Clear Sky's chapters exist to garner your sympathy.

Ask yourself this; were his actions truly consistent with someone who was just scared he would see someone die of starvation, OR, were they consistent with a domestic abuser who enjoys the power he has over people?

The book ends on the cats deciding it's time to bury the dead. Thus concludes The First Battle, and Clear Sky's Redemption Arc begins in Blazing Star. Because this means they nonsensically get rid of their main antagonist, they have to conjure up an Evil Foreigner to take his place.

"Unite or Die" isn't a message about actual peace and unity, that thing that the Non-Clear Sky cats have been hopelessly committed to, it's actually a message about how they're about to have a very convenient common enemy.

Y'know, someone who isn't "scared," just "greedy," one of those evil Godless Heathens, so we don't have to 'feel bad' about murdering him. One Eye time!

I just watched 11x20. I have no idea about the rest of the characters or what’s the main story for s11 because I couldn’t care less lol so I just skiped all the scenes related to the Commonwealth and watched only the scenes where Carol is in: ⬇

Carol's soothing voice when she's trying to convince Lance to cooperate with them. At the same time, she's holding a knife ready to slice his throat. That’s my girl  ❤️

Carol fighting someone WITH A ROLLING PIN. Carol saving Daryl. Carol and Daryl saving each other. Carol killing walkers all by herself with a gun and a knife. Carol, Carol, Carol. 

Again. Look at herrrr. She is just too ethereal and beautiful.

Also, Lance fangirling over Carol saying that Carol is smart and “special” (SHE IS) and that they’ll have to make a decision because the Commonwealth needs a “restart” with people like her leading it. Hmm.. forshadowing much (?) IDK. I got the impression that she doesn’t want ANOTHER responsability in her life and this is not something she wants for herself and that’s why I HATE to think that they’re setting up Carol for a leader.

However, if this is how it ends, it makes me think of Carol’s evolution. A scared, abused housewife who told Dale in the most innocent voice ever that she didn't know how to use a gun, ended up being the most badass person of twd. And now, the leader of a community *sighs* I don’t like it because I WANT HER TO BE FREE but it is what it is. 

I have A LOT of conflicted emotions about this as you can see. 

IMO, this episode just confirms that Carol is a warrior queen and a Caryl or a Carol spinoff would have been amazing 🔥 written by much better writers, of course. I mean, look at them:

It’s great to see them working together again and sharing some action scenes. The chemistry is still there but there’s no emotional development and no dialogue so IT IS MORE OF THE SAME.

Thank God for the fast forward button, it took me less than 10 minutes to watch it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to cry in a corner and continue with my day. Bye.
