i keep staring at this merch lineup and not just because i feel like i'm in 2011 again seeing new anime art of these characters after over a decade of nothing. amu, ikuto, and utau make perfect sense to me as "representatives" of shugo chara but why did the people responsible choose to include nagihiko over tadase when tadase is literally the main guy along with ikuto
#.are#shugo chara#before anyone gets at me for this it isn't a complaint i just think the decisions made here are a little funny#growing up it always felt to me like the main quartet consisted of amu tadase ikuto and utau and it's like. well we got 3/4 here

It's time for Part 2 of "I hate the fucking anime adaption so fucking much". Part 1 is here.
I've known about this since the start of the month since Nakayoshi posted a black and white ad in the January 2024 Issue talking about it, it just took a while for Marukuji to actually post about it in color. And it still doesn't make it any better.
That looks NOTHING like Amu. Holy shit is it bad. I had to do a double take when I first saw a cropped version of the ad on Twitter because that didn't look like Amu at all. It's horrible. Ikuto looks so fucking awful too. Why the hell is he wearing purple too? It looks way too similar to Utau. It's all so bad and out of character, and it's worse than usual because it's also a lottery. Yeah no, fuck this, I ain't buying it. Last year when they made that new anime art I refused to buy anything with the new art on it and I only bought the ribbons, purses, and mirrors. I hated it that fucking much.
Why do people think this is good? Why? I'm seeing so many people on here and in the Japanese fandom fawn over this and I don't understand why. There's so many yes men in these fandoms I swear, like you're all too afraid to say something is shit when it's shit. And this is shit. It leaves such a bad fucking taste in my mouth that they got the old anime character designer to do another set of merchandise. I really wanted that crap from last year to be a one time thing, and then this happened. Really makes me sick thinking about a reboot potentially bringing that old character designer back… God no. This is terrible. The art is so bad.
I know Rozen Maiden is doing the same thing lately, with the 2013 anime character designer making new art for merchandise and lotteries, the difference is that the 2013 Rozen Maiden anime art is actually good. It was a massive improvement over the horrid Nomad art. They never ever use the Nomad art anymore, and God I wish they would treat SC! the same way. Make a reboot, make merchandise using that new anime art, and please pretend the old anime art doesn't exist anymore.
I'm still convinced they will reboot it, with all the money they're hoarding from the constant new merchandise. Here's hoping we get some nice news after the sequel manga starts. Unfortunately right now they're going to focus on the Vampire Dormitory anime adaption. Shoujo anime adaptions are making a comeback, and they choose to give this trashy manga an anime adaption... sigh. And we still don't have a start date for the Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc anime sequel either. I guess they just don't want it competing with these two anime at the moment, so they're waiting.
I need some eye bleach, I can't stand looking at this fucking art anymore.

Counting Avocados - WNC 2024-12-11
Avogadro’s number, 6.022 x 10^23, is one of the most fundamental constants in chemistry. It’s the bridge between the microscopic and macroscopic worlds, linking the atomic scale to everyday quantities. When we say that one mole of a substance contains this many particles—whether atoms, molecules, or ions—we’re equipping ourselves to measure and calculate chemical reactions on a practical, human-friendly scale. Without it, balancing equations and determining molar masses would be nearly impossible.
But have you ever wondered why Avogadro’s number is exactly 6.022 x 10^23 Why not a clean 10^23, or even 10^24? At first glance, it might seem arbitrary, like the result of a historical coin flip. However, the value is deeply tied to the definition of the atomic mass unit (amu), historical measurements, and the practicalities of making the gram a useful unit for chemistry. In particular, the specific choice of Avagadro’s number was empirically determined in order to ensure that 1 mole of carbon-12 atoms would weight exactly 12 grams and that 1 atom of carbon-12 would weigh exactly 12 amu.
Could we redefine the system with a simpler number, like 10^23? Sure! The periodic table would stay the same in terms of relative relationships between elements, and chemical calculations would still work. The values for molar masses and the atomic mass unit would shift, but everything would scale proportionally. In fact, choosing a rounder number might simplify certain calculations, but it would also disrupt the precise ties we’ve developed over centuries between natural constants and real-world measurements.
So while 6.022 x 10^23 isn’t inevitable, it’s not arbitrary either. It’s a reflection of practical choices and historical context—an established and esteemed cornerstone of science. When faced with a myriad of choices, one can often find comfort and value in choosing a cherished classic. So when considering the infinite ways you might spend your evening tonight, remember that Wednesday Night Cuttle tonight at 8:30pm EST is the classically treasured choice that will bring you constant joy.

On Tatooine, Skywalker isn't a name you inherit - it's a name you earn.
The Sky Walker. Ekkreth. The slave who makes free. Every one of Ar-Amu's children know that, if they find a skywalker, a skywalker will help them go free.
Because names on Tatooine have meanings. Slave names, depur call them. Slave names, the free men call them. But to Ar-Amu's children, they are promises.
A Skywalker will do all they can to release the children from their chains. A Darklighter will show them a path through the darkness, away from depur. A Whitesun will provide them with the papers needed to walk freely under the suns.
Depur do not care what names their slaves choose for themselves, so long as they are slave names. But Ar-Amu's children know the value of calling things by their names.
Ar-Amu's children know how to walk beneath the notice of depur. There is safety in secrets. And the best secrets are always the ones that do not appear to be secret.
Anakin, son of Shmi, earns his name when he is 3 years old.
Shmi is already a Sky Walker, has been so since before Anakin was born. Her skill with mechanics and electronics makes her a valuable slave and an even more esteemed Sky Walker.
So it is no surprise to Anakin to find a young female twi'lek ducking behind the small curtain that separated Shmi's alcove from the rest of the slave quarters (a level of privacy no slave would begrudge a Sky Walker).
There is a heavy, bulky collar fastened around the twi'lek's neck, and Anakin knows immediately why she is there. A new slave, not yet chipped, held only by the bomb collar around her neck - she seeks a Sky Walker to remove the collar and set her free.
But Shmi is not there. Gardulla had requested Shmi's presence as she entertained her guests. Almost all of Gardulla's slaves are up above, ensuring the hutt is able to impress.
The twi'lek's eyes are wide and scared. It will not be long before her depur discovers her missing. It is unlikely she will be able to sneak back to where she is meant to be.
So Anakin takes her hand. He sits her down on the barely-there pallet that serves as bed for both himself and his mother. He can feel his heartbeat racing in his fingertips, but he is also calm.
"The Sky Walker is not here," he tells her softly, "but if you are willing, I will try to free you."
The decision is hers. Any wrong move in disarming or removing the collar and it would blow them both to pieces. He is the son of a Sky Wakker but not yet a Sky Walker himself. She must decide what she is willing to risk for her freedom.
Anakin already knows what he is willing to risk. He already knows what name he wants to earn.
He is Anakin, son of Shmi Skywalker, and one day he will be able to call himself Anakin Skywalker.
The twi'lek nods.
Anakin's hands are steady as he reaches out, a thin piece of wire pulled from the hem of his ragged tunic. It takes five breathless minutes, but he is able to remove the collar.
It sits between them, heavy with threat, not yet disarmed, but open. Its circle of bondage broken.
"Sky Walker," the twi'lek breathes as she stares at him, and Anakin smiles back at her.
*
When Anakin joins the Jedi, he asks the council whether he should change his name. They stare back at him in confusion.
"Change your name, why would you?" Yoda asks. But Anakin doesn't know how to (or even if he should) explain. "Skywalker, your name is," Yoda continues. "Skywalker, it shall be, hmm."
Anakin hopes it means the Council understands. He is a Sky Walker, it is his privilege and his duty to free slaves.
But the Jedi are not there to free slaves.
And Anakin begins to hate his name.
He does what he can. Turning a blind eye here. Leaving supplies there. Accidentally unlocking chains. But it never seems to be enough.
He is a Sky Walker, it is meant to be the purpose of his life, but instead - he runs around obeying the senate and the Jedi council.
Until he begins to fear the council knew what they were doing when they told him to keep his name.
Because a Sky Walker is a slave who makes free.
*
When they make him a general, Anakin wants to throw his name as far away from himself as he possibly can.
How can he be a Sky Walker, a slave who makes free, when he is leading an army of slaves?
*
When Vader hears the pilot who destroyed the Death Star goes by Skywalker, he is not surprised. The Death Star was a chain the Emperor wielded to bind the galaxy to himself, and Sky Walkers are good at breaking chains. He thinks nothing more of it.
Until he learns the Sky Walker is force sensitive.
Sky Walker is a name that must be earnt, a title and a promise and a badge of honour. It is a slave name. The name of a slave who makes free.
Or, the name of one who could have been a slave, who comes from a family of slaves, and risks it all to make others free.
It is telling that this Luke Skywalker uses his name freely in the Rebellion - a declaration that he sees the empire, the emperor, as depur.
On its own it is not much, something someone not from Tatooine would not understand.
But Skywalker is force sensitive.
So Vader goes digging.
Luke Skywalker, raised by Beru Whitesun and Owen Lars. Best friends with Biggs Darklighter.
First known as Luke Lars, before his name was changed to Skywalker.
For someone else, anyone else, it would seem innocuous. It is easy enough to find out that Skywalker is a slave name on Tatooine. For the boy to have initially gone by Lars would have been a way for him to be protected from his parent's past. For him to claim the name would be a child deciding to claim their history despite the slavery in it.
But Vader knows better. He knows how names work on Tatooine.
The boy becomes a Sky Walker the first time he frees a slave.
The disjointed recording of the Princess's cell they recover has him boldly proclaiming, "My name is Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you."
For one of Ar-Amu's children, such a declaration would have been a comfort. A promise. Vader sees how the Princess does not understand what she has been told.
The Imperials see the boy's behaviour as naivety, but Vader knows better.
It does not surprise him that the boy moves quickly up the ranks of the rebellion. It does not surprise him that the boy is fearless in the face of the empire's might, that he laughs each time he escapes the traps laid for him.
He is a true Sky Walker.
The boy might not have been a slave on Tatooine (and Vader checked, because if there was one thing he would not allow it would be that), but he was the son of a slave. Grandson of Shmi Skywalker.
And he earnt his name again and again and again.
There is another name the boy could lay claim to. Another name he has earnt, Vader finds.
A name the Princess earns, also, as she chokes Jabba with the very chain he sought to hold her with. Starkiller.
One who has killed depur.
It is a name the boy earnt long before he joined the rebellion. That he chooses to go by Skywalker instead is telling.
He would rather be known for making free than for killing.
Vader admires him, even as he despairs. For he knows the end result of being a Skywalker beneath the weight of the Emperor. He knows the power of the Dark Side. All he can hope is to keep the boy, his son, from being enslaved.
But the Sky Walker refuses to join him.
Refuses to acknowledge the power of the Dark Side.
Refuses to admit defeat.
And perhaps, Vader thinks, it is better that way. Dukra ba dukra. His son will not relinquish the name of Skywalker, he will not turn, so he will die free.
But Luke is a Sky Walker, and Sky Walkers are those who make free. Not content to just free themselves, they are those who will walk directly into the grasp of depur if it means freeing others.
On Tatooine, names can be earnt.
And so Darth Vader earns again a name he'd thought lost to him.
He is the son of Shmi the Sky Walker. Father of Luke the Sky Walker - who calls Vader by his earnt name. Who walks calmly into the grasp of the emperor in the hope it will save his father (it does).
Dukra ba dukra.
He is Anakin Skywalker, he is a person, and he dies free.
.

"you're so sexy. I'd take you right here, on this table Vic."
Sonnie gets drunk at a family gathering and expresses how he feels about Victoria in front of everyone. Michael isn't too pleased, giving Al Neri daggers throughout Sonny's rambling 👀😡 LOL
OMG… 💀💀 Sonny’s gonna get a new one torn into him after something like this aijfdsijsidjg 💀💀💀
“Well,” Tom chuckles, raising his champagne cocktail up towards the middle of the table, “I can now see why Mike chooses to provide beverages low in alcohol volume. Maybe we should toast to that.”
“Toooooast,” Sonny hiccups, shakily raising up a glass of whiskey.
“No, not you.” Sandra hisses, gently pulling Sonny’s hand down so he doesn’t spill his drink all over himself. “Tom’s talking about you, you know.”
“Just how drunk is he?” You chuckle, leaning into the table to get a good look at Sonny’s state.
“Drunk enough.” Michael mutters, ready to signal to Al Neri to have his older brother taken inside to sleep off his drunkenness early for tonight if he has to.
“I’ll toast to locking up the wine cellar permanently.” You joke, giggling as you clink your champagne flute against Tom’s.
“I’m…” Sonny slurs his words, aimlessly pointing at everyone at the table. “Drunk, not.”
“Right.” Michael rolls his eyes, continuing to take a bite out of his food while ignoring Sonny.
“Sonny, you’re not having any more.” Sandra scolds him quietly, trying to push the whiskey away from him but it’s already quickly snatched up by Sonny again. “Stooooop.”
“Whaaaaat?” Sonny burps loud enough to cause a nearby bundle of giggles to be heard from the twins playing near the gazebo with their nanny.
Tom snickers, covering his mouth and preventing further laughter after seeing the venom in Michael’s eyes for how utterly humiliating this is to everyone at the table.
“Santino, really?” Mama Corleone frowns, crossing her arms. “Stop it, at least remain quiet if you’re going—”
“Vic supports me, ya?” Sonny grins at you playfully, taking another swig of his whiskey. “She didn’t say anythin’ to me so far! Fuckkkkkk.”
Michael and Al Neri exchange a brief glance with one another; a universal signal from Michael indicating “get him out of here” if this continues or goes even farther, then Sonny’s going to have to be forcibly removed from the dinner table for the sake of everyone’s peace.
“Actually…” You chuckle, gesturing to Sonny’s drink.
“You’re so sexy, ya know that?” Sonny licks the liquor off his lips, stunning everyone at the table. “Honestly—hic!” Sonny pats his chest, completely focused on talking to you. “Sexy, sexy, pretty lady, Vic.”
Before half of Sonny’s words can ramble out of his mouth, the expression in Michael’s eyes signalling to Al Neri could practically kill and cut through a diamond by now.
That look alone causes Al Neri to move behind Sonny’s chair, placing his hands over it to pull him out of the table and “gently” coax him out, if need be.
“I’d fuck you r-right here and now on this table, mhmmmm!” Sonny smacks the table, causing some of the silverware to shake and clink against one another.
“Um.” Your face flushes red out of humiliation and the inevitable second-hand embarrassment Sonny delivers, but instantly you feel Michael’s firm hand over your thigh—his thumb rubbing over your skin as Al Neri begins to pull Sonny out.
“That’s enough, Sonny.” Michael speaks out with a scowl, noticing the shocked look on his own mother’s face at Sonny’s vulgar words. “Start heading inside and call it a night.”
“Right here, right now.” Sonny hiccups again, stumbling up to his feet as Sandra covers her face with both hands in shame. “We’d—”
“The Don said move it,” Al grabs Sonny’s arm, hauling him back towards the estate grounds.
Tom clears his throat loudly to break the heavy awkwardness in the air. “Don’t mind him. I know when Sonny gets absolutely wasted.”
“We won’t.” Michael mutters, gazing over at you. “Won’t we?”
“Not at all.” You blush, putting your hand over Michael’s and giving it a squeeze, secretly amused at Michael’s not so subtle show of jealousy at the dinner table.

What's next for Chika and Satowa?
So, ever since chapter 106 was released many of you have asked me what do I think is gonna happen next with our two lovable dorks. So here I am, making a post on it. I apologize, because apparently I am unable to make a short, concised post when it comes to this couple.
Anyways, I will now proceed to explain what I think is going to happen, and why do I think is going to happen that way.
I have seen many people worry about Satowa pulling the "I meant 'love' as a friend!" card. So, I will begin saying that the possibilities of that happening are slim to none. The way she said it, and the context, give little to no room for error in interpretation.
With that being said, the next step in Satowa and Chika's relationship lies almost solely on the later. Chika's reaction to Satowa's declaration (and the flashback memory of his gramps), makes one think Chika did get what Satowa meant. But what Satowa felt for Chika was never the problem. It was never in question to begin with. Chika, however, is a whole other matter.
In the extra chapter (99.5), we learn that Chika received words of thankfulness for the first time when he was 8 years old. If you thought someone who grew up in that kind of situation wouldn't have trouble with his own emotions and self-esteem down the road... Amu-sensei will make sure to remind you.
I don't think Satowa will backtrack on what she meant. She is not going to repeat herself, nor bring it up again though. She wasn't intending on declaring her love to him to begin with. She was talking to Uzuki, and Chika just happened to be there. Satowa was content with treasuring her feelings towards him, at the very least until Nationals were done. So, what does Chika do with this knowledge? Does he ignore it? Does he ask her about it?
I do not believe Chika and Satowa are going to jump in a relationship right away. Chika has to figure out his feelings. And I mean REALLY figure them out. Up until now, he has kept his very complicated feelings towards Satowa as superficial as possible. He completely acknowledges his respect towards her, but anytime his thoughts go any deeper than that, he cuts off that line of thought. Why? Because he carries so much guilt and shame because of his past hurting others, and has taken the blame for the suffering of the people around him. That makes him unable to see himself as worthy to love someone else. To feel 'love'. In his experience, the people he has loved have either been targetted or have been suffered because of him:
"Ever since you were born, it has been hell"
So, when he is confronted with such an open declaration of love, what does he do? Well, step one is already achieved: Remember his grandfather's words to "always choose the path that leads to happiness"
But that's easier said than done, right? To begin with, how do you know what makes you happy, or will lead you to happiness? And this is the moment Chika needs to have some instrospection. Chika's way to really analize his feelings has always been music. He understands warmth, companionship and friendship, because he uses those feelings to communicate during Tenkyuu. But 'Peace' is different.
Takinami already said it "That is the reason you can't figure out your solo!!". You see, as Gen said, Chika is very fast to treat himself badly and cut himself off. He believes that people are better off without him, because he only brings trouble and suffering. If he takes himself out of the equation, everyone else can be happy.
"Instead of thinking of who other's are to you, start thinking about who you are to others!"
For Chika to figure out his solo in 'Peace', he needs to think about, not the way he sees himself, but what others see when they look at him. Uzuki tries to convince him that the reactions to the video he saw in social media are the reality, and in opposition to that, Satowa gave him what SHE thought about him.
"I only believe in what she tells me herself"
And with that in mind, Chika can start figuring out his solo. And while really understanding that he is loved, and that he brings happiness to them instead of suffering, he can allow himself to let go of the shame or the sense of unworthiness. And only then he will stop cutting his line of thought when it comes to Satowa. Because, yes, there is respect, and yes, he desperately wants to catch up to her. But why is that?
"What do you think about Satowa?"
She is super cool. She is also cute. He admires her.... And he loves her.
You will know Chika has embraced his feelings when he completes his solo. And music, in this manga, speaks louder than words.

now that the season is over here are chuang2021 moments i cannot believe are real, a list that only gets longer and in no particular order:
- that entire bit of them choosing their dorm rooms, including but not limited to:
lin mo copping his double room only to lose it + his mental breakdown after that
almost 20 of them fighting to have hiroto stay in their room
nine and patrick's 'we break up' (only for patrick to move in after 1st round of eliminations)

han peiquan: ‘look at that santa, he can dance so well but can he do this? he can play the drums but ask him to come here, can he do it? no way’
the entire “just go where you want” performance including their intro + mentors comments + xie xingyang’s slogans
but even more so “just go where you want” 2.0 LIVE AT THE FINALS
- the mentors dancing along to ‘vote for me xoxo’ during “just go where you want” 2.0 before carrying and promptly drOPPING zhou shen onto the floor before the rest of them pretend like nothing happened in time for the ending pose
- “when i’m with you”, “unbreakable love”, “just go where you want” > the actual theme song all day every day
- don't be shy @/tencent , give me all the clips of gan wangxing singing jing long's “lost you” (diu le ni) + more of the both of them dancing to crab dance backstage
- zhou shen, to shao mingming on the verge of having a meltdown over mean comments about him as practice for “i don’t care” stage: ‘do you want to hear the next comment?’ shao mingming, as the others start laughing: ‘plEASE NO’ zhou shen, reading the comment anyway: ‘he only knows how to cry’ cue maniac laughter from all of them
- just hanjiang, really
zhang xinyao, on “feng ding” stage: ‘it was so good. also i wanna add hanjiang you look like huluwa’

xue bayi, backstage: ‘i think he’s said that to me too’
when called up at 2nd eliminations: ‘what’s manga-like man?’ another trainee: ‘ means you look like you came out of a manga’ zhou zhennan: ‘yeah it’s like fei yang yang came out of the page into real life’
domineering ceo with all of them either screaming or looking mildly uncomfortable
literally scREAMING to get people to join “zui kuen” team
more importantly hanjiang’s dad imitating him scream to get people to join “zui kuen” team to a dAMN T
- patrick: ‘hello everyone i am your ocean prince patrick!’ wu hai: ‘and i am the ocean’ [for non-chinese speaking fans of chuang, the hai 海 in wu hai means ocean] + the continuation of this on wu hai’s dorm diary
- “unbreakable love” 2.0 !!!! put it on spotify right now !!!!!
- da-geTM bo yuan
fu sichao, on bo yuan getting 9th for 2nd eliminations: ‘that feeling when your own old man (laughs for a bit) when your old man gets a really good grade, it’s indescribable happiness’
amu: ‘bo yuan’s like my grandpa, and he might as well be’
eisho’s ‘bo yuan gege’
hiroto getting other trainees to call him da-ge on dorm diary but having bo yuan as his da-ge
or alternatively, yuan-shu [uncle yuan], as seen after using the term fanersai(凡尔赛)[literally means versailles, a slang that means the same thing as flexing / humblebragging in english]
- gan wangxing unintentional comedian
han peiquan, on his first impressions of gan wangxing: ‘he’s such so good-looking, and then he opens his mouth (disbelievingly rolls his eyes) i almost died right there’
on being 11th for 2nd eliminations: ‘in the past, my life plan was that after graduating from university, i’d find a stable job and live a nine-to-five life. and i used to fantasize that in my future i’d be able to find a wife early, drive a car to bring her travelling, we can listen to some music and lift our heads to see the stars’
other trainees: laughing and going ‘oOHHHH’, notably including xie xingyang: ‘he’s still fantasizing!’
also other trainees, after seeing the video his family sent to cheer him on: ‘where’s the wife? where’s the wife!’
also ‘hello, look at me’ coming up everytime he shows up
case in point - the mentors erupting into laughter when gan wangxing steps forward to do his evaluation, notably zhou zhennan: ‘kill me with it!’ [i’m not sure how to translate what he actually said in a better way than that], nene following up by simply going ‘hello’, zhou zhennan immediately picking it up while still laughing: ‘look at me’
holding the umbrella for nene at the end of “it’s raining and i’m thinking of you” stage just for all the trainees backstage to go ‘why’s it you!’
Very Passionately telling gong jun what jing long taught him on singing
- ‘andy lau has come to visit our zoo!’
- wu yuheng’s quest for chilli sauce in his dorm diary:
wu yuheng and fu sichao terrorising a staff member for chilli sauce until the staff goes to wu yuheng ‘if you wake him (fu sichao) up every morning i’ll make sure you get your chilli sauce’ to which fu sichao says to wu yuheng ‘you know what chilli sauce isn’t that great let’s go’
wu yuheng straight up drinking zhou keyu’s chilli sauce because i could never
- liu yu confessing to lin mo as a dare from shao mingming but lin mo’s in the toilet so liu yu has to awkwardly do it standing outside the cubicle door while shao mingming and xue bayi eat the drama up
- oscar’s reaction to people finding out his real name + the entire ‘xiong xiong’ saga
- lelush with a pearl earring
- rikimaru moments that deserve a segment of their own
having the first comment on his first solo performance be ‘drop your skincare routine’ [essentially] because the mentors didn’t have anything to critique on his performance
at the start of his speech at 3rd eliminations, when it was clearly evening: ‘good morning’
getting very sad over the fact that yumeri didn't send him a video to cheer him on + being jealous every time someone's sister showing up in the videos
- speaking of sisters, the guys simping over amu's sisters + amu, asking the mentors when trainees had the chance to dedicate a few words to each other during the final livestream: 'can my sisters come next year?'
- santa, on preparation for nana party stage: ‘she (mao xiaotong) learnt the choreography really fast, and even if she made mistakes she’ll be like *makes cute expressions* so even when she did i’d be like “it’s ok! no problem!” she’s so cute’ the staff interviewing him: ‘is this the santa we know?’
- “the adventure” team making fun of their female guest before finding out said female guest was meng meiqi aka goddess incarnate AND had been watching them make fun of her through the cameras
- lin mo’s bat song
- xie xingyang discreetly stealing food from the staff on their movie night that was originally supposed to only be for those who used their beans before a whole group of them [led by jing long, consisting of xie xingyang, wei ziyue, hu yetao and others] just go and outright take it with nine hugging the staff member to let them take the food that entire bts video is a mess and you know what? that’s what i’m here for
- zhou zhennan’s constant ‘wtf’ face
- that chuang x GQ beach video
- gong jun’s entire time on chuang, but especially the moments with zhou shen. felt like a fever dream tbh
#chuang 2021#produce camp 2021#创造营#创造营2021#INTO1#liu yu#刘宇#santa#赞多#rikimaru chikada#力丸#lelush#利路修#zhou zhennan#周震南#gong jun#龚俊#amber#zhou shen#周深#add on to this!!! i probably missed loads of unforgettable moments#even though this is already hella long

Welcome Home
The Zyuohgers are with Yamato in his childhood home.
FFN I Ao3
----------
It was a huge weight off of Yamato's shoulders when he and his father were able to reconcile. He might not like to admit it to anyone, but he does treasure any and all connections he has, including that of his father.
"Oooh, Yamato, I didn't know you were this rich!" Leo exclaimed.
"It's not actually my money," Yamato shook his head. "This was where I lived before I ran away."
"You sure lived a comfortable life." Amu wistfully added.
"But circumstances lead to you living with your uncle." Tusk surmised.
"I don't think I can stomach choosing not to go home without reconciling with my family." Sela offered.
"I can appreciate a man with a principle in life." Leo nodded.
"It's all in the past," Yamato shook his head. "Dad and I have already reconciled about things."
"So we're meeting the man who you took after then?" Leo asked, enthused.
"One of the reasons, yes," Yamato nodded. "I'm also here to see if I can donate some of my old clothes."
Yamato brought his fellow Zyuohgers inside his old family home, both to meet his father, and gather some of his old things. There was a donation drive at the hospital his father was working for, for the Zyumans, and humans, who found themselves homeless due to the constant attacks by Genis's Deathgalien forces.
As they waited for Yamato's father to get home, the Zyumans looked around, curious about Yamato's old home.
"Still, where is Misao, he's pretty late, isn't he?" Leo voiced out.
"He said about getting his doctor a gift," Sela answered. "Last time was interrupted by Larry-san's curiosity on his The Gunrod and Zyuoh the Light."
"It really was curious how Misao gained Zyuman abilities without the Mark of the King," Tusk added. "How did Genis know that the cubes on Azauld's body came from the Earth?"
"He's been watching our fights, right?" Sela pointed out. "He could've figured it out by then as we had been using our cube animals to battle."
"We may never know, right?" Amu offered. "I mean we've destroyed Genis the Deathgaliens with him."
"Sorry for intruding," Someone's voice interrupted their train of thought.
The Zyuohgers looked at the entrance and was greeted by Misao, dressed in a gray suit and tie. With him was a paper bag.
"Micchan!" Yamato greeted. "Come in, Dad's not home yet." He beckoned for his friend to get inside the house.
"Yamato, I did not realize you were wealthy," Misao exclaimed as he walked inside the house. "I feel like my gift would be very small compared to the care he has given me." He slumped down on the floor and brought his knees to his chest.
"Ugh, there's that troublesome trait." Leo groaned.
Yamato simply rolled at the Lion Zyuman, who looked unapologetic, before turning his attention towards Misao.
"That couldn't be, Micchan." Yamato assured his fellow Zyuohger. "Dad appreciates any and all gifts he receives from his patients."
Yamato internally winced at the words he uttered. He and his father haven't really communicated all that much even when his mother was still alive. He couldn't really know how his father would react to Misao's gift.
He just hoped that he did not make the wrong assumption.
"A-are you sure?" Misao perked up.
Yamato nodded.
"I hope he likes the gift!" Misao stood up from his position on the floor.
"What did you get him anyway?" Leo asked.
"Last time, you said you were getting him some fish." Sela added.
"I just got him something that I think he would need as a doctor," Misao admitted. "But not exactly something he'd need for his profession."
"Need as a doctor but don't need as a profession?"
"I see, you did not buy him a coffee maker, did you?" Yamato winced.
"No, why?"
"Dad's never been a fan of coffee," Yamato admitted. "That's a relief." He sighed.
"Yamato? Are you here?"
Yamato rushed to the entrance.
"Okaeri, Tou-san."
"Tadaima, Yamato."
"Tadaima, Tou-san."
"Okaeri, Yamato."
The father and son hugged each other tightly, years of deep resentment one had for the other, all for simple misunderstanding, it was about time the two of them had shared a hug.
The Zyumans in the house, and Misao, looked at the father-son pair with a smile on their faces. They were happy for Yamato, that he had reunited and reconciled with his father after everything that has happened.
"Dad, these are my friends."
Yamato introduced his fellow Zyuohgers to his father, with the context that he met them when he had wandered into Zyuland.
"This is Mondo Misao, he's Zyuoh The World."
"Kazakiri-sensei, thank you for restoring me back to health." Misao bowed at his attending doctor. "I hope you like the gift I bought for you." He offered the paper bag he had with him earlier.
Kageyuki placed the paper bag on top of a nearby end table and retrieved a small black box from it. He opened the box and was greeted by the sight of a black power bank.
"Thank you, Mondo-kun, this will surely help prolong my phone's battery," Kageyuki thanked his son's friend. "Especially considering I have broken three of my four power banks during those Deathgalien attacks."
"It's the least I can do for restoring me back to health even when I walked out of the hospital." Misao bowed.
"Still, you bought the most expensive brand of power banks out there," Kageyuki was amazed. "Are you sure I can have it, this must-have cost a fortune?"
"It's nothing," Misao smiled.
"Right, how do you afford these, Micchan?" Yamato asked. "I mean you bought my uncle a high-quality whetstone for Christmas."
"I make plush toys for a living," Misao admitted. "I get commissioned to make plush toys by some company and they pay me as soon as I give them the product."
"Well that's a given, your plush toys are so cute," Amu squealed. "I want a plush toy for everyone too."
"R-really?"
"Those were cute." Leo nodded. "I want one of the others too."
Everyone descended into chaos, talking about Misao's cute plush toys and how he makes a living out of it and about how they each want the entire team set with them.
"You earned yourself a good set of friends, son." Kageyuki praised. "Protect and cherish them."
"I will."
Kageyuki then gave his son a push towards his friends before nodding.
"Oi! I want one of the whole team too!" Yamato exclaimed.
"Then, I'll make one for each of us," Misao nodded, excited to make his friends some plush toys of themselves.
"Of course, we're paying you, Micchan," Yamato gave his friends a look. "Right, guys?"
"Y-yeah." Leo and the others reluctantly agreed.
"It's fine, Yamato." Misao shook his head. "It's for the team."
"Nope, we are paying." Yamato shook his head. "This is how you make a living and we won't be good friends if we will just mooch off of your talents."
"That does make sense," Tusk nodded. "Misao does make a living making those toys, it's only natural that we pay for his work and materials."
"I guess you're right." Amu pouted.
"Well then, I'll just give everyone a 70% discount." Misao nodded.
"Nope, we're paying the full price." Yamato shook his head.
"A-are you sure Yamato?" Misao gulped.
"Why? Did I say something wrong Micchan?"
Misao whispered something into Yamato's ear.
"Eeeeh?!" Sela exclaimed as Yamato gulped from what he had heard.
Misao simply nodded.
"Yamato, take the 70% discount!" Sela demanded. "In exchange, we'll help spread your work and the word around."
"I guess that's fine." Yamato sighed.
"What did you hear, Sela-chan?!" Amu questioned her friend.
"You don't want to know." Sela shook her head. "You really don't."
"I guess that makes sense," Yamato sighed again. "He did buy three, no, four sets of complete suits because each of them got ruined in the fight against the Deathgalien, a yukata during summer, not to mention uncle's whetstone and dad's power bank."
"I do make them by hand." Misao offered. "And the materials are expensive."
"What about the fishes you catch?" Leo asked. "What do you do with them?"
"I sell those too," Misao answered. "While I wait for the fish, I make some plush toys."
"You sure are resourceful, Misao-kun." Amu smiled.
Misao blushed at the compliment as Yamato's father brought some snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Otu nne na-amu mana obughi otu chi na eke” One mother can beget many children but all the children will their own Chi and Eke
Welcome back to the 13 steps. You are now ready to begin step 2. In the first step, you learned the importance of ncheta, which is remembrance. You will see why this is indeed the foundation of all other steps. For this step, we will again return to a common experience that all humans share. You’re not going to remember it but we have this reminder on our bodies. In the months that you were being carried in your mother’s womb, you were literally connected to her, and dependent on her for your sustenance. However, there came a time when you had to leave that place and begin a new type of existence. And so you emerged from her womb, but were still physically connected to her.
However, for you to ever be a fully functional human being, that connection had to be severed. And in doing so, the physical connection to your mother was cut. You are reminded of it every time you look at your stomach and see your belly button. An Igbo custom (ili alo), which was also shared amongst our neighbors, was the burial of a newborn’s umbilical cord & placenta, usually near a newly germinated tree. This tree, which would be known as nkwu alo, was a child’s tree of life, and had significance for a child's future. One belief was that the nkwu alo would become fruitful in proportion to the fame of the child’s subsequent achievements as an adult. And during the obi umuaka (hearts of children) rite, the tree is used as a location for teenagers to be reminded of their relationship to Ala (the earth mother), their ancestors and their community.
Well similar to the severing of the physical connection to your mother, another, more traumatic severing happened, but this was not a physical severing, but a mental one. And the question that’s likely running through your mind right now is who or what was that mental separation from? Well the answer to that question is what Igbo people called “Chi na Eke” (Chi and Eke). If you’re of Igbo descent you may have heard the shortened form “Chineke”, and been told that it means “God the creator.” Unfortunately, this definition came from the Igbos who were among the first to convert to Christianity, who by the way, were usually the people who literally knew and understood the least about Igbo customs and metaphysics. To be honest with you, a series of books would need to be written to do justice to what Chi na Eke are, but for the purposes of this 13 step program, we will define each as the following: Chi is your potential energy, and Eke is your kinetic energy.
“Eke na chi wo otu mana eke siri na chi bia”"Eke and Chi are one, but Eke came from Chi"If you recall from your science classes, energy is neither created nor destroyed, but simply changes forms. And two of the major forms that energy can take would be at rest (potential) or in motion (kinetic). According to Igbo belief, it is your Chi that created your physical body, and it remains with you all your life. As a newborn, your connection to both Chi and Eke were still fresh, but as time passed, and without reminders, you began to get out of sync. This explains why as I reminded you in “Step 1”, that as a child you seemed to be more confident and full of life than you probably are now. However, and I cannot stress this enough, this loss of connection was ONLY in your mind.
Unfortunately due to you being born in this time and place, various physical memorials were not setup to remind you of your connection to your Chi na Eke. You likely didn’t have the rite of ili alo done, nor do you have an nkwu alo to perform the obi umuaka rite with. That’s the bad news. However the good news is that you can create your own reminders that suit you. And even better news is that just as you happen to have a Chi na Eke, every other human being you encounter also has one. What does this mean for you? Well If you have ever played a musical instrument of any kind, you know that something magical happens when multiple instruments are played in harmony. What would happen if you not only got your Chi na Eke in tune with one another, but also found other people who did the same thing? What kind of reality could you create?
Step 2: I recognize that Chi na Eke, the greater power that can help me overcome my negative feelings, resides in myself and in others. I can create my own reality and can do anything within reason, but cannot do it by myself or at the same time.Action item: Start to write your own personal prayer that says something similar in your own words. Choose a time and place to say it on a daily basis. And stay tuned for step 3, which is coming out on the next new moon, October 16.
