I loved this movie about nami and her ex situationship reconciling and also anti capitalism

*twirls hair like an idiot* sooo about your ocs, What are their motivations for the organization, why izana?, will they interact with anyone outside of tenjiku?

*kicking feet and giggling* *pulls out ppt presentation*

they do interact w/ people outside of tenjiku! they almost exclusively stick to just regular people before joining them because they didn’t wanna touch the other organizations. those fish were too big for them to fry. so the first few chapters are rather detached from the world of tr. it’s a lot of college students, retired seniors, mid-life crisis, not much to do with young delinquents. even in tenjiku, they interact with people connected to the organizations members (wink wink). i think that if it wasn’t tenjiku, and instead by chance another budding organization, they might have latched on to that one instead. but tenjiku is the only gang with mister izana kurokawa, and without him, there would be no story between the two! so i build my kingdom with bricks of gimmick and mortar of coincidence...

speak of the devil, they have no good reason to like izana, but they do. i can talk more than is necessary about why but long story short is that they’re compatibly freaky.

long story long: 

there’s a bunch of reasons, one is that the caller thinks that izana is ‘using’ people rather heartlessly and like recognizes like. also ties in to how they have similar ideas of ‘being empty’ (story for another day rip).

but idk being similarly fucked up isn’t all there is, there’s a side to their dynamic that’s primarily them hanging out. this one is harder to summarize but they do genuinely like the guy. when i was writing i was thinking “no one will care it’s just 2 dudes skating and eating and learning music”. ironically, they never considered the other to be empty of anything

and for funsies, if izana is tang seng, and u held me at gunpoint, you could hammer the caller into the role of baigujing (weird girl, enemy of tang seng, disguised as multiple people). they do also have a complex about eating him so that’s something. i guess the cannibalism also works in a eucharist way with leader calling them izana’s ‘judas’.

so yeah they were like each others manic pixie dream manipulator. it’s one of the focuses of the main story but there’s a lot of other characters because i didn’t like making it only about them idk. the caller likes/hates multiple people.

and finally, for motivations. the problem i have is that i dont like their original plan for tenjiku, it was vague early on and the story just grows around it like a plant gall. the vagueness is okay for now because i intended for the original plan to stay unexplained until after kanto, but after kanto i ran out of feasible ideas rip. so idk their real motive anymore (least illogical val writing decision) but i can tell you that whatever they're gonna do, it has to do with an ‘leave my mark’ sorta statement ("now that i'm free, i will change as much about the world as i can"), and also something something apocalypse.
