G3 Hissfits Review Part 1

Guess what came in today??? My Hissfits three pack!

The box is large, 22”x12” and was 75 bucks…which is a lot (25 for each doll) and Entertainment Earth wanted another 20 for shipping (so I might have preordered a cute little 3.75” Clone Trooper Rex figure to get free shipping).

These dolls had their stock photos dropped a bit over a year ago and I guess were just sitting in a warehouse while Mattel figured out what to do with them????? I dunno why they took so long to come out, but I’m glad they were not all canceled and disposed of.

It has some little Skullettes detailed around the outside of the box.

The back of the box. That’s a huge illustration and looks really cool. It has some of their accessories hidden about and Amped Up Frankie’s accessories in the far left-hand book shelf. Perhaps they’re all playing for the Monster Ball?

Here is the UPC for anyone who needs it. These are supposed to be available on misc. sellers/shops: like Entertainment Earth and Big Lots and NOT Amazon, Walmart, Target or even Mattel Creations. Which seems like an odd choice (I wonder what their reasoning was behind it?).

Here is a close up of their blurb on the back of the box. I do find it funny that Toralei was known to be REALLY bad at singing in G1 and G3 just RAN the other way with that.

Here are the ghoul’s with the plastic removed. There was A TON of rubber bands holding them all in. They look good in the package, but there is so much plastic waste.

Close-up of G3 Meowlody’s face while still strapped down. Meowlody has white hair (I remember who is who by: turning her name’s first letter “m” upside down and it looks like a “w” for “white hair”).

Mine has her eyes slightly printed up too high, some white paint dropped across her right eye, and her left cheek stripes have some paint missing (you can’t tell from his photo).

She has the biggest grin out of the werecat twins and Toralei. Her heterochromia is opposite of her twin and she has purple leopard print eyeshadow. Her hair feels like saran.

My Toralei looks pretty good, but has a small lip smudge on her upper lip. I love her eyeshadow!!! Even her bright pink lips have grown on me. Her leopard rosettes are a mix of purple (Meowlody) and pink (Purrsephone).

She has almost-neon orange hair (with black, baby pink, and purple streaks). I’m pretty sure it is all saran.

And my FAVORITE, Purrsephone (turn her name’s first letter “p” upside down and it looks like a “b” for “black hair” and that’s how I remember this is Purrsephone). I like her sculpted eyelids, her full upper lips, her hair color blend *mwah!* Mine does have a spot of red paint on the bottom of her cat nose. She has pink leopard spots on the opposite side of her face as her sister.

I’m also certain she has saran hair.

They come with a ton of little accessories “to help them get ready for the show.” Even merch to sell after the show too!!

After spending about 30 minutes freeing everything from their prison and running a metal comb through their hair (they will need to be washed with water, Dawn dish soap, and some conditioner…maybe (carefully) straight iron their hair later).

I forgot to take a full body photo of Toralei before I started removing pieces. Whoops!

Here is her crown piece. It wraps around both ears and should still hold its place fairly well even after I removed the plastic stays and rubberband (it was really wrapped around it) holding it in.

Here she is without her golden crown. I might like it better off.

Her eye make-up is her two cousins’ mixed together. Oh, by the way G3 Purrsephone and Meowlody are G3 Toralei’s cousins, not just her beasties.

The leopard print reminds me of SDCC DC Super Hero Girl’s Cheetah.

Her tail tambourine (I love how clever they were in its paw-like design) also stays on her tail pretty well.

Here are her plastic dress pieces. They have some nice details to them (lots of studs, chains, and the Hissfits cat head logo) and as always, could look even more elevated with some paint. Be warned that the gold chest piece instantly wants to keep detaching itself from the skirt and shoulder pieces after you remove the rubber bands.

I LOVE her gloves (look at the little printed seams and how they make it look like there are seperate holes for her fingers). My Core G3 Toralei will be stealing them. Mine even come off by sliding over the hands (you do not necessarily need to remove the whole hand to get them off).

Here are her MASSIVE boots. They are slit all the way down the back and have some colored in details. I’m not sure if I like purple AND pink AND red being Toralei’s new colors, but these shoes look great.

Here are the bottoms (chains on the ball of the feet and a cat scratching post making the heel).

A better look at her saran hair blend. It’s really growing on me. I was just going to clean her up, steal her stock and resell the base doll. But I am heavily rethinking it.

Here she is in her outfit sans all the plastic bits. It is all attached. The main shirt/shorts have a sparkly foil look to them and her skirt has a lovely gold to magenta foil print.

And the back. Now let’s jump ahead to look at some differences between the werecat’s bodies.

Toralei has the exact same body mold as G3 Clawdeen, and the werecat twins have the same body as G3 Cleo (sans the bandages).

They didn’t give the werecat twins sharp toe claws like Toralei and Clawdeen. :( Booo!

Their ears look a bit different too (Toralei has notches in the bottom of her ears and Purrsephone/Meowlody don’t).

And for funsies. Here are all the G3 werecats’ body types for comparison (I’m still in the middle of micro-braiding my Catty’s hair, so ignore her bad hair day).

Irratino goes back to Deduction College. But-

Needless to say, it does not lead him to Logico, instead pushing him way back. But it’s not a total loss. He finds a body.

IRRATINO: [long, withering sigh] PRINCIPAL: Hello Inspector Irratino. Are you here for a lesson in logic?  IRRATINO: No… 

Marble, Raspberry, and Ink are also wandering around. It seems the college will let anyone in, regardless of enrollment.

MARBLE: Inspector, look! I’ve been promoted from mathematician… to statistician!  IRRATINO: …Uh-huh. That’s cool… PRINCIPAL: Anyway, a logic class is beginning. Sit down. IRRATINO: But I’m not here for- PRINCIPAL: Sit. Down.

Irratino doesn’t pay attention to the class, because he has more important things to do (and the class doesn’t align with his interests). Marble seems to be licking her lips as she jots down notes - that’s normal right? Even though she’s drooling?

MARBLE: Oh… there goes my paper…

Raspberry isn’t paying attention at all. He’s on his laptop. Irratino, being the narc he is, spies on what he’s looking at. Sports-betting. It could be worse?

IRRATINO: Um… Mr. Applegreen, he’s gambl- PRINCIPAL: I THOUGHT you said you weren’t here for the class. IRRATINO: [sputter]

Ink has a graduation cord around her shoulders. If she’s already graduated, why is she here?

INK: [whispering] I’m taking the test anyway - I’m just trying to make the others look bad. PRINCIPAL: I heard that! My god. I need a break. 

He storms outside, and a single leaf falls onto his head where his glorious blond hair tuft once was. For some reason, this makes him lose his shit! He yells and kicks the tree, dropping more leaves and wailing in pain.

Irratino examines the attendance records now that the principal’s gone. Every time someone enters and leaves the building it must be noted, and a telltale sign is Raspberry only showing up for a couple minutes yesterday, before showing up normally today. Irratino just looks at him with a dejected expression. He sure seems a lot… more casual than when he saw him last.

RASPBERRY: Well, dang, ya got me! OH! I fergot I was doin’ school! Now lemme eLAborate on a couple ‘o my theses, and I’ll be able to getcha on my side! First, I want you to think about- IRRATINO: Stop, stop. Please stop. I don’t want to get caught up in any more things. I’m so tired. I’m so confused. I don’t know where I am - I don’t even remember coming back here, much less why. I’ve barely gotten any sleep since Logico went missing, and it’s just getting worse. I’m going insane.  INK: I promise you’ll find him.  IRRATINO: How? You can’t promise that! INK: It’s fate.

Irratino takes a deep breath. It’s fate. But fate doesn’t happen standing around.

whoops, i almost forgot about the star trek update. tuesday we watched tng's "firstborn" and "bloodlines" and last night we watched ds9's "the wire" (honorific)

firstborn (tng):

i was actually bracing for this one to suck ass bc everyone says worf is a bad dad. and i dont think he is!!! like, it doesn't come as easily to him as it does to sisko, and he sometimes forgets to be gentle or kind with alexander because he's so laser focused on how things SHOULD be he forgets to the importance of taking others' feelings into account, but that's how he is ALL THE TIME with EVERYONE not just his kid. considering the circumstances i'd say he's doing well

before we get started, GREAT cameo from the duras sisters. i was initially really annoyed with their tit windows but im becoming rather fond

i really liked "the family protector guy "k'mter" at first because he said all the right things to alexander...like, it's scary not being able to defend yourself, etc. then he also was a dick to alexander and i was really exasperated...but then he IS alexander so that totally fixes it. he's angry with himself and conflicted and just wants a HUG FROM HIS DAD and that FIXED it!!! like when he said "nobody will look at you and see a human you are alone on this ship" initially it felt like racism but it being like, not quite self-loathing but just bitter experience...that's actually so clever

this is the only episode where they brought up alexander's mom kind of hating ""klingon stuff"" and how that could possibly have negatively impacted him and it only got two lines of dialogue but still. i think it's really damning that she hated her own heritage and also brought her kid up to hate it and now he's sort of out here...pretending to be human, almost, to the point where he doesn't want to participate in hsi own culture or even bond with his own father (a klingon). like it sucks so bad for him

i was afraid that the plot twist would be "k'mter talks alexander into wanting to be a warrior after all just when worf realizes he doesn't have to be" which would have been sad but a real "oh shit" of an ending. mixed feelings about them not doing that but i understand why they wanted to properly wrap things up for s7

i almost forgot but rare w for picard for bending the rules a little bit to give worf time to go to the klingon festival with his kid. credit where it is due

i love that he gave us 3 different stories about how he got kicked out. i'm gonna be honest, i looked it up, and apparently we never find out the truth? that is a bold fucking move. a daring choice. we, like julian, will never have any certainty. like, sure, i WANT to believe he released some kids from being tortured, but it's also equally as likely that he killed civilians or did a number of other horrible things

like, the fact that he can lie about it even while under significant distress.........king. like you could say oh that's the true one because that's the one where he was physically unwell but he also referred to "elim" in that one which gives it the ring of a potential falsehood

julian forgiving him anyway, even after all the horrible stuff he said, even after being physically ATTACKED (WHICH WAS SCARY!!! i was scared of him!!!!!) for "whatever he did," just because garak said "i need to know someone forgives me"..........AUGHGHGH JESUS CHRIST

THE FACT THAT HE WON'T TALK ABOUT IT. he won't tell even US what he did. eliot spencer core actually. i am beside myself about it all

maybe he's right and it is all true. maybe he destroyed a ship and framed a friend AND let some kids go. it's literally none of business though like he's not gonna tell us

anyway, i heard the term "brain implant" and nearly died on the spot, so 10/10 episode

honestly, they should have just upgraded this guy to a regular. he is so good

You sit outside alone, music blaring through your ears, as you shake away the goosebumps still prickling your skin.

Nancy was safe. Vecna let her go once she received his message and now she was inside, trying to collect herself before sharing the information. She looked traumatised. As she should feel; and you were no help to that.

He told you to stop, to leave. And you didn’t listen. You almost got her killed.

Then, Lillian. Finding out the truth to her death. The memory had haunted you for years and yet, you never had the full picture.

You murdered her.

All the threats you ensued, being shipped away to Hawkins, it all made sense now. They all knew you were a murderer.

Tears slipped down your cheeks and you hastily wipe them away. You were sure you would have let Vecna kill you if Eddie wasn’t there.

When you awoke, you found yourself falling into Eddie’s arms as he held on tightly to you, pressing his cheek to your forehead as you cried. He had crossed through the gate, with the tape he had kept with him for years, and he had saved your life.

“Hey.”

As if by magic, Eddie appears by your side, sitting beside you on the steps and staring out at the scene around you. Luckily, Max’s trailer was situated so that her neighbours wouldn’t be able to see anyone out the back. As long as you didn’t travel further than the steps, Eddie was hidden away.

“Hi.” You reply with a small voice before you take a breath. You go to speak when his eyes widen, a small whistle sounding from his mouth.

“How many of those bad boys do you have?” He raises his eyebrow in interest and concern.

You look to where he’s pointing, noticing that your over-sized jumper, borrowed from Steve, had slipped just off your shoulder, revealing a nasty bite.

“Uh…” You furrow your brows, pulling the jumper back into place. “There’s the one on my calf from the Demogorgon, this shoulder one is from a younger one, and… oh, and there’s a smaller scar on my thigh where a Russian stabbed me.”

“Jesus.” Eddie comments, sitting beside you. You merely hum a response, closing your eyes.

“Thank you.”

When he frowns, you shift yourself to face him, nodding. “Thank you for saving my life.”

“I-” He starts and when you hold out the Walkman in your hand, showing the tape, he sighs. “They tried to play the other tape.”

“What?” You frown and he nods slowly.

“You weren’t- it wasn’t working.” He ran his hands down his face, leaning forward, “Wheeler- when she woke up- she was saying how Vecna had you and we were all panicking again. You didn’t wake up. We tried the tape but… nothing. Then I remembered that one.”

He gently taps the case of the Walkman with a small smile. “You let me borrow yours a while ago but you left a tape in it. Someone called i-Ten or something. I- I was going to return it but I guess I just… forgot. Then we, uh, we broke up and I was trying to find a time to give it back but I just kept forgetting.”

“I’m glad you kept it.” You finally say and he smiles.

“Of course.” He clears his throat, sitting back. “So, this whole thing… this is just normal to you guys?”

“No.” You let out a breathy laugh. “Honestly, nothing that’s happened has been normal.”

“So, what have I missed?” He asks and you raise an eyebrow. “Well, I know about the human flesh monster and, uh, Russians, was it?”

“Yeah, last year was pretty crazy.” You nod, your fingers twisting the headphone wire. “The year before that, we had to deal with demodogs.”

“Demodogs?” Eddie raises his brows in disbelief and you laugh.

“Yeah, don’t ask, Dustin named them.” You say and he nods, “The Mind Flayer was possessing Will and we needed to break that connection fast. El closed the gate while me, Steve and the kids all set fire to the tunnels the demodogs had built. All of that and the craziest thing that happened that year was my sister coming back to town. And Billy.”

“Oh, and the year Will disappeared?” You look to Eddie who merely nods for you to continue, “He was dragged into the Upside Down. So was Barb. I went with Jonathan and Nancy to try and figure it out and ended up in there myself. Got a few scars from that one.”

Once you finish talking, you watch Eddie blink at you, a worried frown on his face. “Why… why did you put yourself through that?”

You sigh, taking a moment to consider it. “I guess… these people are my family. After the first year, I didn’t really get a choice with the whole Vecna thing but… I knew I needed to protect them. To help fight. They’re just kids.”

“So were you.” He points out and you shrug.

There’s a moment of silence before Eddie speaks again.

“Wow.” He smiles. “I guess I had you right the whole time. You really are Hawkins’ very own hero.”

You try a smile before everything snaps, gnawing at your lip while your eyes fall to the ground.

“I’m not a hero.” You say, voice wobbling until tears started to fall.

“Hey, hey.” He places his arm around you, a worried frown on his face, “You’ve saved so many people, Y/n. Hell, you-”

“I killed her.” You sob quietly and Eddie shakes his head.

“Wheeler’s fine. Physically. Mentally, you know, probably not-”

“Lillian.”

“What?” He asks and you swallow your tears, realising that this was the first time you had told anyone about Lillian.

Max knew since she was was your sister; it was hard for you not to tell her. But she didn’t know what really happened, only the lie you had created in your mind. And now Eddie was going to know the truth. The only truth.

“She… she was my best friend. Back in California.” You nod, slowly raising your head. “She was… my person. We grew up together. She, uh, she was there for me through everything. Even my first boyfriend. If- if I could even call him that. And when it got bad, she did what she always did best; she tried to save me. But… I-I wouldn’t listen and it led to this fight and…”

“… she died?” Eddie’s voice is small and you nod, squeezing your lips together to bite back the sobs wanting to escape.

“I thought it was an accident.” You cry, “But this… thing inside me. It- it made me do something horrible. That’s what Vecna showed me.”

Eddie’s silent for a moment, brows furrowed together. His hand suddenly reaches over to grasp yours. “Then it wasn’t you.”

You raise your head, sniffling, “What?”

“Possession?” He raises his eyebrows and you continue to look confused, “It’s a classic textbook deal that it’s not someone’s fault if they were possessed. You didn’t have that urge to kill her, the Mind Flayer did. I know you, Y/n, and I know for a fact that you are the most selfless, badass, and, most of all, least murder-y person I have ever met.”

You laugh at his words, and he reaches forward to wipe a tear from your face.

“It is not your fault.” He reiterates, nodding, his voice thick with so much emotion you almost believed him.

As he wipes the tear, his hand travels down to cup your chin, thumb almost brushing against your lip. You both find yourself creeping ever so slightly closer to one another, close enough to-

“Hello?” Dustin pokes his head out of the trailer, eyes widening once he sees you both and in an instant, you scramble away from eachother. “Um, I- uh… I didn’t see… anything-”

“Just-” Eddie raises his hand to stop the boy’s ramble, “What do you want?”

“Nancy’s ready to talk.” He sighs and you immediately stand up, Eddie right beside you.

“He showed me things that haven’t happened yet.” Nancy’s voice was hoarse, shaking from the memory. “The most awful things.”

You sit between Eddie and Steve, leant forward with your head resting on top of your hands. Everyone was listening intently.

“I saw… a dark cloud, spreading over Hawkins. Downtown on fire. Dead soldiers. And this… giant creature with… a gaping mouth. And this creature wasn’t alone. There were so many monsters. An army. And they were coming to Hawkins. Into our neighbourhoods. Our homes. And then… he showed me my mom. And Holly. Mike. And they… they were all…”

As Nancy cried, your own tear slipped down your cheek. Vecna didn’t just want El. He wanted complete, and total, destruction.

“Okay, but…” Steve’s voice broke the silence and you wiped away your tear, tilting your head to look back at the boy next to you. “He’s just trying to scare you, Nance. Right? I mean… it’s not real.”

“Not yet.” Nancy’s simple response send shivers down your spine. “But there… there was something else.”

You sit back, feeling Eddie’s hand brush against yours slightly as he brought his to his mouth.

“He showed me gates. Four gates. Spreading across Hawkins. And these, gates, they looked like the one outside of Eddie’s trailer, but… they didn’t stop growing. And this wasn’t the Upside Down Hawkins. This was our Hawkins. Our home.”

“Four chimes.” Max suddenly said, all eyes on your sister. “Vecna’s clock. It always chimes four times. Four exactly.”

“I heard them too.” Nancy adds and when eyes shift to you, you merely nod.

“He’s been telling us his plan this whole time.” Max declares with a whisper and you let out a shaky sigh, noticing the slight tremor in your hand.

“Four kills. Four gates.” Lucas catches on, looking over to her. “End of the world.”

Your chest begins to tighten and you squeeze your eyes shut. Not now.

“If that’s true…” Dustin’s eyes shift between yours and Max’s. “… he’s only one kill away.”

“Oh, Jesus Christ.” Eddie mutters beside you and Max clears her throat.

“So, it’s me or Y/n.” She slowly nods, fear shaking her voice.

“Try ‘em again.” Steve orders to no one in particular, pointing to the phone, “Try them again.”

Since Max is the closest, she picks up the receiver and dials the number. You had all been trying to get in touch with the Byers for a while now, praying that they could shed some light, or, at least, help you fight. But there had never been an answer. And, judging by the pit in your stomach, you knew there never will be.

“What else?” Eddie speaks up and looks to Nancy, “What… did he say anything else?”

“He mentioned a name.” Nancy says quietly, squeezing her eyes shut. “Not El.”

“Who?” Robin asks and Nancy slowly brings her head up, tears pooling in her eyes. And then she stares at you.

“Y/n.”

Your blood runs cold.

“What- why Y/n?” Eddie frowns, looking to you and you take a deep breath.

“Because it’s been happening for a while now.” You admit, leaning forward again and focusing on a spot on the floor. “Ever since we got Will back… I’ve been hearing his voice, sometimes seeing him. It was small at first but… I think he’s gotten stronger now. And he won’t leave me alone.”

The confession struck shock on your friends' faces, their reactions only making you want to curl up and pretend like nothing was happening. Even as you spoke, you felt your world compressing around you, close enough to not breathe.

It was only the subtle touch of Steve's hand on the side of your knee that slowed your heart rate. Comfort.

“But why?” Robin shakes her head, “You only moved to Hawkins a few years back, how could you possibly be on his radar?”

“He showed me why.” You whisper and you close your eyes. “The night at the Creel House, when I- when he cursed me. He showed me why.”

Everyone is silent once again, waiting for your answer. It was time.

“I saw my parents.” You breathe out, “My, uh… my biological parents.”

A few shocked faces crowded the room and Max raises her head, setting back the phone after yet another disappointing attempt.

“Really?” She widens her eyes.

You weren’t sure who in this room knew you were adopted but Max had been by your side ever since you found out. She even helped you look for them the first couple of months until you hit a dead end and went to Hopper for help instead.

“Yeah, they…” You swallow your pain, closing your eyes. “They died not long after I was born.”

“What happened?” Robin asks, reaching across from her spot on the floor so you could take her hand in yours.

“Vecna killed them.”

Exchange of glances filled the room, communicating more meaning than words ever could.

“How is that possible?” Steve questions and you sigh.

“I didn’t know until Nancy told us about the visions. About who Vecna really is.” You lean forward, “Brenner, the guy behind all the experiments, the one El was running from, he found them. They were visiting the Creel House, thought it would be… spooky or something. And then she went into labour early and were rushed off to the hospital.”

You tighten your lips, the scene replaying in your mind. Their happy faces turning to terror.

“Brenner found them later, and there was a boy with them.”

“Henry.” Nancy widens her eyes in realisation and you nod.

“Brenner wanted the baby- me. He wanted me, to test me. And when they didn’t agree to his terms, he made Henry kill Michael, my…” You stop, unable to say it. You only ever had one true father in your life, you couldn’t just award someone else the title without knowing them.

“So you were born with powers?” Max asks and you shake your head.

“I don’t know.” You wipe away a tear you didn’t realise had fallen. “But what I do know is that whatever Brenner saw in me, it annoyed Henry, upset him somehow. And he wants me dead.”

Murmurs of shock filled the silence, everyone shaking their heads at the idea of you dying. Your eyes drift to Nancy, the girl avoiding everyone’s stare, and you frown. The way Nancy had looked when saying your name made you believe she knew more than she was letting on.

“So… what’s the plan?” You finally say, bringing the attention back to the situation at hand.

“We’re going back to the Upside Down and we’re killing Vecna.” Nancy said so matter-of-fact-ly that if you weren’t so numb to the situation, you’d be concerned.

“Hold on, wait, let’s think this through!” Steve objected, standing from the couch to face her.

“What is there to think through?” She countered, stubborn as ever.

“We barely made it out of there in one piece!” Steve stresses and you watch as they argue, unsure of whose side to take. “I got bitten, you got, like, traumatised. And Y/n was almost killed! Twice!”

“Three times, actually.” You mutter, silently surrendering when they both shot you looks.

“Because we weren’t prepared!” Nancy replies. “But this time, we will be. We’ll get weapons and protection. We’ll go through the gate, we’ll find his lair, and we’ll kill him.”

“Or he’ll kill us.” Steve says and across the room, Robin raises her eyebrows at you. “The only reason you survived is because he wanted you to. I almost died. Y/n was this close to losing her life. He’s not scared of us.”

“And for good reason.” Robin interrupts, stepping forward, “We were wrong about Vecna. Henry. One. Sorry, what are we calling him now?”

“One.”

“Vecna.”

“Henry.”

Robin looks to you as you fiddle with your headphones and you whip your head up. “Me? Oh, I don’t care.”

“Right.” Robin breathes out, continuing. “We’ve learned something new about Vecna/Henry/One. He’s a number like Eleven, only a sick, evil, male, child-murdering version of her with really bad skin.”

“It’s bad.” You agree and she nods at you.

“But, my-my… my point is, he’s super powerful. He could turn us inside out with a snap of his fingers. It’s not a fair fight.”

“Then why fight fair?” Dustin intercepts and you turn around to look at him. “You’re right. He’s like Eleven. But that gives us an upper hand. We know Eleven’s strengths. And weaknesses.”

“Weaknesses? Vecna got a Mike we don’t know about?” Erica asks and under any other circumstances, you’d have laughed.

“When El remote-travels, she goes into this sort of trance-like state. I bet the same is true of Vecna.” Dustin explains and you nod.

“He’s vulnerable. Well, his body is anyway.” You add and Dustin points at you, happy someone is proving his point. “All his energy is focused in his mind, meaning he’s practically harmless on the outside when he’s trying to kill someone.”

“That would explain what he was doing in that attic.” Lucas comments and when he meets your eyes, your mind drifts back to your first curse.

“Exactly.” Dustin nods. “When he attacks his next victim, I’ll bet you he’s back in that attic, physical body defenceless.”

“Defenceless?” Steve raises his brows, gesturing to his neck. “What about the army of bats?”

“True. We’ll have to find a way past them.” Dustin accepts, “Distract them somehow.”

“And, uh,” Eddie leans forward, “How do we do that exactly?”

“No idea. But once they’re gone, he doesn’t stand a chance.” He smiles, “It’ll be like slaying sleeping Dracula in his coffin.”

“That all sound good in theory, but there is no pattern to Vecna’s killings. I mean, at least not one that I can decipher.” Robin comments, “We don’t know when he’s going to attack next. We don’t even know who he’s going to attack.”

“Yeah, we do.” Max speaks up and your stomach drops. “I can still feel him. I’m still marked. Cursed.”

“Vecna won’t give up once he’s decided who he’s gonna kill.” You confirm, shutting your eyes. “He’s made that pretty clear.”

“I ditch Kate Bush, I draw his focus back to me.” Max suddenly says and you stand up to face her.

“What?”

“Max. You can’t. He’ll kill you.” Lucas whispers out and she shrugs.

“I survived before.” She reminds him and Lucas frowns.

“Yeah, because Y/n was there!”

“She would have made it out on her own.” You say and they both look confused. “I know it.”

“I can survive again.” Max decides and you shake away your thoughts, returning to your original debate.

“No, wait, you can’t put yourself in danger like that.” You protest and she holds your stare.

“I just need to keep him busy long enough so that you guys can get into that attic.” She says, eyes shifting to the faces behind you. “Then you can chop his head off. Stab him in the heart. Or blow him up with some explosive Dustin cooks up, I honestly- I don’t care how you put this asshole in his grave, just… whatever it is… whatever you do… try not to miss.”

Everyone seems to start accepting this and you shake your head.

“Really?” You object, waving your hands, “Are we really letting her do this?”

“It’s our only choice.” Max moves away from the wall to face you and as you look at your sister, you realise she’s all grown up.

“If he wants me dead, then let me do it.” You insist but, like any younger sibling, she argues with you.

“It’s decided.”

“No. No, I’m not letting you do that. You could die, Max.”

“Y/n, come on.” Steve sighs, running a hand down his face. “I don’t like it either but maybe...maybe putting you into another situation like that isn’t a good idea, considering everything that’s happened.”

“Steve.” Robin warns and his face drops when he realises what he said.

Nancy almost died. Because of you. Steve knew that.

Rather than speak, you decide to walk away, seeing dots in your vision as you were losing air. You needed to calm yourself down, fast.

“Y/n-” He rushes after you as you reach the bathroom door, pulling it open. He manages to catch your eye.

“You should have let the Demogorgon kill me.” Your voice was barely a whisper, only loud enough for Steve to hear. “Maybe… maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess if you did.”

That’s all you say before shutting him out.

Tears fall as soon as you slam the door, hugging your body tightly as your breathing became jagged. You didn’t mean to snap like that at him. He was right, after all. You almost got Nancy killed because of your stupid mistake. But your anger towards yourself was blinding, and he didn’t deserve that.

Slowly muttering numbers under your breath, you clutch the side of the sink, taking a mental note of random objects in the room to calm your mind, and your panic attack.

Once your breathing slowed, you wipe away your tears. You needed to apologise to Steve for what you said. And to Nancy, for what you did.

Another tear fell. You couldn’t stop screwing up.

Raising your head, your eyes met a figure behind you in the mirror and you freeze before a frown etches onto your forehead. A girl looked back at you, dressed in a strange white outfit, her hair buzzed just like the day you met her.

“El?” You question, but when you blink, she’s gone. “Shit. I’m really going crazy now.”

Shaking your head, you move to the door, pulling it open and finding Steve leant against the door frame, straightening once you appear.

“Look-”

“I’m-”

You both talk over eachother and then with a nod, Steve moves you back into the bathroom and shuts the door.

“I’m sorry.” You blurt and he looks confused as to why you’re the one apologising. “I shouldn’t have snapped like that, I- I was just panicking about the whole ‘Vecna wants to destroy everything’ talk and I… I shouldn’t have taken it out on you.”

“I didn’t mean what I said.” He shakes his head, frowning with worry, “I’m… I’m scared too. And I don’t blame you, or- or anything like that. I just… I don’t want to see you get hurt. Or anyone, for that matter.”

You take a deep breath, nodding. “You’re right, though.”

“Hm.” He agrees before tightening his lips. “Uh… what was I right about?”

“It has to be Max.” You slump against the edge of the sink, bracing yourself with your hands behind you. “Vecna wants me dead, that’s for sure. But… his connection with me is a lot stronger than I think. He’ll know it’s just a distraction.”

“We’re gonna win, Y/n.” Steve nods, moving closer. “He’s not hurting her. Or any of us. And he sure as hell isn’t gonna hurt you. That one I’ll make sure of.”

With a small smile, you shake your head before finally meeting his eyes. “How are you so certain you’re protecting the right person?”

There’s a wave of confusion that floods his face and you swallow your guilt with a shrug.

“I’m just… the more Vecna shows me everything. My past. My family. I… I’m not so sure I should be the priority on your list right now.”

“Bullshit.” He states simply and you frown. “And that’s not a word I use lightly, so listen.”

His hands slip into yours, ensuring you’ll stay and hear him out, and he takes a breath.

“You are worth it. Whatever he showed you, whatever you did… it doesn’t change the fact that you are literally the only person here I would die without.” His voice cracks, making you squeeze his hands involuntarily, “I… when Nancy woke up and you were still stood there, I- I froze. Just like I did last time. Because, the more I imagine the idea of you being gone, like really gone, I… I just can’t see myself ever being happy ever again. No ‘time will heal’ crap. Nothing. We all fuck up sometimes, okay? And nothing you can say or do will ever change the fact that you’re stuck with me. You and me.”

You prop yourself up on your toes and lean your forehead against his, the grip of your hands tighter than it had ever been before. As you let out a shaky breath, some kind of weight makes your chest feel feather light. He always knew exactly what to say to make you feel human.

As you pull back, your lips curve into a smile. “I’m not going anywhere. Just like you said. You and me.”

Steve goes to open his mouth but is interrupted by a knock at the door. You gently let go of his hold and wipe a stray tear, nodding. He looks hesitant, like he desperately wanted to continue the conversation, but he knows there’s a world outside that door that could never be put on hold.

With a sigh, he walks over and swings it open to see Dustin staring back.

“Oh.” Dustin blinks, looking between you two, “Am I… interrupting something?”

“Seriously.” Steve deadpans, rolling his eyes. “We’ve talked about this.”

Dustin holds his hands up in surrender. “Sorry, sorry. Got it. Nothing between you two. Cool. Anyway, we’re getting nothing from the Byers again and Eddie thinks he has a plan.”

“A plan?” You speak up, walking to the door.

“Yeah.” He nods before frowning, “Well, like, half a plan. Eddie thinks he knows a place with guns and- Oh, just go use your eyes or something.”

“Jesus. Would it kill you to be nice for once?” Steve pushes past him and you go to follow.

When you notice Dustin hasn’t moved, you turn back around with a raised eyebrow. “Uh... was there anything else?”

He squints his eyes at you, moving closer.

“What?” You let out an uneasy laugh and he suddenly shrugs.

“I guess I didn’t realise you were such a boy magnet.”

The nerves in your chest flutter and you tighten your lips. “It’s not like that.”

But Dustin is already deep in thought now.

“It kind of makes sense. I mean, you are pretty cool. And smart. Can’t deny that you are physically attractive but I never saw that cause you’re not really my type.” He throws you a look, “No offence.”

“None taken.” You sigh, hoping to walk away from the situation when he continues.

“Lucas always saw it, hence why he fell for Max cause you two are so similar it’s scary.” He drones on and you place your hands on his shoulders.

“Dustin!” You look at him as he shuts his mouth, waiting for your response. “What the hell are you talking about?”

“Have you kissed a lot of guys?” He questions and you groan.

“Okay, we’re dealing with an alternate dimension wizard that wants to destroy Hawkins and that’s your burning question right now?” You start to move away from the boy, but he’s much more persistent on the matter than you expected him to be.

“I assume it’s more than I thought.” He says and you slump your shoulders in defeat, almost coming into view of the others.

Then, with a pang of your heart, you understand why he’s so intrigued in the topic. He’s seen you with Eddie and then with Steve all in one day. And it wasn’t a one time thing. He was there during your relationship with Eddie, consistently interrupting you both. Just earlier, stopping... whatever was happening. Which, part of you was glad for. After the Upside Down, you hadn't been thinking clearly.

And he’s had suspicions about you and Steve for a while now, especially since last summer. Even with your constant denial, Dustin could see something that you and Steve couldn't.

Both boys were ones that had taken him under their wings and you had no doubt Dustin looked up to them, as he did you.

He was making sure your feelings were true. He didn’t want to see anyone get hurt.

“Okay, Dustin.” You sigh with a slight smile. “I haven’t kissed that many guys.”

He raises an eyebrow, “How many?”

“Three.” You reply, not having to think about it for a second. Technically four, but your black-out drunk mistake with Tommy shouldn’t be counted.

“That was quick.” Dustin comments, raising his eyebrows. “Why are you keeping count?”

“I-” You take a deep breath. God, this kid had good intentions but he was insufferable about it. “Because they were special to me, I guess.”

“So you don’t just kiss random guys?” He asks and you try one more time to run from the conversation before you decide to stop and settle this.

“No, Dustin. I don’t just go around kissing random guys.” You deadpan and he stares back at you expectantly. With a sigh, you cross your arms. “Look, it’s special because… I need to have a connection with them. If I kiss someone, it's because it actually means something, like-"

There’s a cough behind you and slowly turn to everyone staring at you, overhearing your last sentence. Your eyes widen as you realise both the boys you've kissed were sat in the same room, staring at you with curious gazes.

"Would you like to finish that sentence?" Robin smirked beside you and you purse your lips.

"No. No I would not."

“We were just talking about…” Dustin’s voice trails off when he sees unamused faces staring back at him. “It was my fault.”

“We figured.” Steve comments and you clear your throat.

“Anyways…” You walk up to the table, noticing a phone-book had been placed on it. “What are we looking at?”

“War Zone.” Eddie grins at you and you have to pretend to look interested in the paper before any kind of embarrassment shows on your face. “I’ve been there once. It’s huge. They got everything you need for, uh… well, killing things, basically.”

“You think fake Rambo has enough guns there?” Robin asks and you let out a breath.

“Definitely.” You say and she raises an eyebrow. “What? I went there with Hopper once. He was looking after me and had to go check something out there. Now that I think about it, he wasn’t the greatest babysitter.”

As you think through your visit, Robin lets out a brief laugh before focusing on the image in front of her.

“Is that a grenade?” She points to the page, “I mean, how is any of this legal?”

“Well, lucky for us it is, so..” Eddie points out, “This… this place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks.”

“If we’re trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn’t go to some store called the War Zone.” Erica emphasises and you squint. She had a point.

“Normally, I’d agree, but we need the weapons so… I think it’s worth the risk.” Nancy says, nodding.

“Me too.” Lucas agrees.

“Yeah, but is it worth the time?” Dustin asks, “It’ll take all day to bike there and back.”

“My car won’t fit all of us in.” You sigh before frowning. “Speaking of, I really need to find my car.”

“It’s probably been taken in for police investigation since you left it at the lake.” Dustin suggests and you purse your lips.

“Yeah, that’s just what I needed to hear.” You retort and he rolls his eyes.

“Who said anything about bikes?” Eddie smirks and you smile involuntarily.

“You got some car we don’t know about?” Steve questions.

Eddie straightens, standing tall, smiling. “It’s not exactly a car, Steve.”

Noticing the glint in his eyes, you sigh. “Let me guess… it’s not exactly yours, either?”

“You know me so well.” He grins before nodding, “But, uh, it’ll do.”

“Okay, but if we’re going outside,” You step forward with crossed arms, “We need to cover you up. The whole town knows your face now and if someone catches one look at you, we’re toast. You’re not exactly hard to miss.”

“I will take that as a compliment.” He remarks and looks to your sister. “Hey, Red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandana, something like that?”

Max thinks about it for a moment before an idea pops into her mind. “I got something.”

Looking back down at the page, you take a deep breath.

There was no way this trip was going to go smoothly.

physical or emotional characteristics you would like in a human husk

Sorry for sitting on this for a bit! I'll admit, part of me was being autistic and overthinking this. Is this about what I'm personally attracted to in Husk, or what I think would be best for his story in canon? Is this about what he was like before he died, or what he'd be like if he could be human again after everything that's happened to him in hell?

I'm going with "how I see him as a human on Earth before death, and who I thought he was regardless of my own personal attractions and biases". (Well, a little bit of my own biases. No such thing as unbiased fiction. But accuracy is my priority on this one.)

First and foremost - human Husk is black. I will die on that hill until canon tells me otherwise. There could be other pieces of heritage in there somewhere - I don't think I'm qualified to speculate on that too hard - but as far as skin tone goes, he's black. I also like when art gives him dreads, it just looks right, though I'm not as much of a stickler on that matter. Gotta have some scruffy facial hair, though, I demand that much.

As for why... is it all the good fanart that made other options look wrong in comparison? Is it because he's voiced by Keith David and I just can't imagine a white guy sounding like Keith David? Those are definitely pieces of it. I know it's not canon and I'm not out here attacking people who lean otherwise on Husk's race, but as for me, he's black, end of discussion. On the shorter end of the average as far as male heights go, but he's not noticeably short in isolation. Definitely taller than my short and stout self. Weight probably fluctuates depending on his situation - his finances as a gambler would be all over the place, and so would his diet, varying between lavish meals in overpriced steakhouses, and dinners at home consisting primarily of cheese puffs and bottom-shelf beer. I do like him with a gut, though. Maybe he's just naturally predisposed to having a gut, even when he's starving. (Told you there'd be some bias.)

I'd definitely want to put decent thought about what it was like for him as a black man growing up in early 20th century Las Vegas, but without being 110% certain that anything I'm saying makes any fucking sense, I'm biting my tongue on that one. Definitely a topic I'm interested in, though.

I should also probably mention that yes, I know it's a common headcanon for Husk to be a trans man. It's interesting! I have no actual reason for not writing it myself. Not sure what to do with it, I guess? If it was canon I'd of course pay more attention to that aspect, but for now, whoops. You guys have fun, obviously! Just like with the popular ship, if anyone ever took "Irk doesn't write this thing" as "Irk thinks that thing is bad" I'd cry, don't do that

I like the name Oscar for him while alive. Saw it in a post on here once and it just felt right. Thank you, random Tumblr user I forgot who you are whoops again! Until canon tells me otherwise, he's Oscar in my heart.

I think his dress style while alive would match a similar trajectory to his Overlord-to-servant transition - a snappy dresser when he can afford it, would never be caught dead looking the least bit disheveled. Button-up shirts, freshly ironed suits, the finest colognes! But after he's a washed up divorced drunk, who gives a shit. His clothes are a lot more tattered now... but honestly, living in a place like Vegas where half the population are various flavors of downtrodden, washed-up addict, he doesn't stand out. At least he has that going for him.

Personality-wise, I think as a child and a young man, he was a big dreamer, even a bit of an attention whore. He's wanted to be a performer for as long as he can remember, ever since he started seeing magic shows and jazz bands as a kid. He may still be introverted in the sense that putting on a show is exhausting and he needs his space, but when he's in the right frame of mind, the stage is where he belongs. He worked so, so fucking hard to be a performer! He really could have been something if Vegas didn't chew him up and barf him out...

That dreamer attitude also made him a serious romantic when he was younger. If you accept a date from that man, he will spoil you. Flowers, fancy dinner (if he can afford it), a personal serenade... he doesn't fall into actual honest-to-god love very often, but when he does, he falls hard and puts everything he has into showing the person he loves that he cares. He does lean toward monetary gifts = affection, though... please, Husk, sometimes your partner really would be happiest with a hug and a song. But he doesn't see it that way, he has to keep gambling to be able to afford the lavish lifestyle his lover deserves. Fucking Vegas.

As an older man on Earth, after a turbulent divorce and decades of addiction and depression, he's a lot like the version of himself in the hotel. Doesn't give a shit about much besides where he's going to get his next drink. He does miss his dreams and wonder what could have been if he didn't screw it all up... but there's no point thinking about wasted opportunity. It just hurts. Drink it away instead. He spends his last few years alone, gambling and drinking and just waiting to finally fucking die.

Death was supposed to be a second chance for him, you know? He could pick himself, become someone again! Too bad for him that "someone" was once again a gambler, and that addiction is always going to catch up with him...

I don't think Quinn would be able to catch a break in the fandom. People would have discourse for days about her- is she good or bad trans rep, is she good disability rep, hell, is she a good person? lol.

I feel like a lot of people would think she was a cool character and honestly kinda wish they were as cool as her. She'd have a lot of fanart, a lot of edits, etc. Unfortunately, she'd also be a big cause of drama- 14-year olds sending each other death threats over their opinions on her, and the like. She'd probably make it onto a LOT of DNI lists.

She'd get A LOT of ships. Whether that be with OCs or other canon characters, she's cool enough that I think people would ship her with just about everyone.

ANYWAY dude you're so right, she'd be such an incredibly polarizing character in the fandom lol. Honestly I could see her going through the same thing in fandom that happened to characters like Eddie Munson and Hobie Brown - at first they're likeable to both the genuine punks and the TikTok normies, and then the TikTok normies go crazy with the edits and the brainrot and the character just gets commodified, and then the actual punks get pissed off at having their counterculture commodified and you get fandom wars about it.

But it's not like I've seen that happen before or anything. Totally not the reason I deleted TikTok because it got so annoying. I totally don't get comparisons to both of those characters all the time just for wearing my real, actual, non-cosplay battle jacket. Love the characters, but the fandom gets on my nerves sometimes.

It left a profound impact on my psyche because they did something really fucked up in the last episode, plus left us on a cliffhanger, and then the show got cancelled </3 rip. No idea if it holds up, but I was super invested in these kids doing spy work and experiencing insane levels of trauma that would be ignored come each new episode </3. I was literally 8 years old <3. It has a TV tropes page and the entire show is availible on the Internet Archive, of all places, sooooooo I may browse. For nostalgia's sake. I feel like this counts, because I shipped them when I first watched the show as it aired (I was 10 when the show started), but I did still ship the pairing until well into my teens (16 or so) before I wised up (the show made them very bad in a really boring way. Love how they both do things that are otherwise reprehensible but the show frames them as romantic for some fucking reason </3 I was like 13 when I saw this kiss on screen. They're lucky I did research and didn't just take it at face value or I could've gotten some really bad ideas about what's healthy in a situation like this!).

Plus Li becomes the shadow broker and it's a whole thing, so that doesn't really work out narratively for me anyway. Can't romance Miranda. Can't romance Tali (wouldn't anyway - Tali/Garrus <3). Refuse to romance Garrus that is just so platonic a dynamic it's not even funny. Jacob cheats and dips, so fuck him. Like... all of the fem!shep romances are terrible (or Trainor, I guess, but she's... kind of. Nobody. She's Just There. Sorry. It's not narratively interesting enough for me.) and Joker was right there and augh. Augh! Still ship. Still mad about it. Hatboy Project is doing the lord's work! so sorry for the bother but I have to know your thoughts on Alopex?

Oo, not a bother at all!! Okay so yeah-spoilers for IDW? also this is gonna be kinda ramble-y and not fully thought out AGSHZ It’s very early in the day for me

To start of! Alopex is a great edition to TMNT, she fits in very naturally and she has a design that can simultaneously be adorable and fucking feral, which is great AHA, I’ve always enjoyed fox characters in media so I always feel just a rush of affection whenever I see her like look at that wittle guyyy. Outside of that though she’s just super neat! Again she feels very at home in the world and not just inserted into the narrative which is always a risk with ‘new’ faces in established properties, I love her weapons and her confidence a lot. I think I might be a liiiiiiittle burnt out on “character who was in the Foot that left the Foot” as a trope, but it was still cool!

I think this was the panel I was fully sold on her character, look at that smug little shit

I will say I did find her central-ish story arc in IDW kiiiiindaaaaa boring? Mind control as a trope doesn’t really interest me so I found the whole Kitsune thing with her sorta prevented her from really being her own character for a lot, it’s not that it was bad! It just made me personally kinda disinterested. This is definitely just my own opinion, I think the moments I loved Alopex the most were when her stronger personality traits are allowed to shine and she was sorta held back from doing that for a little, also again yeah it’s just not the type of story I really go for AHA

I’m also not really fully sold on her and Raph together as a couple, but that might just be the aroace in me talking. I couldn’t understand why they liked each other because from my point of view they barely had any chemistry, and by the time they did kinda have chemistry I was sorta lost on how we got to that point. And then in the last issue I read they broke up so, LMAO? I’m not really a romance between characters interested person but I can still often connect or feel the emotions in a ship and I just didn’t for those two AHSJH whoops (the speech Raph had with Angel about her though was cute but again I was sorta still like ???)

On the topic of that though, I haven’t read further yet because the Armageddon games intimidate me, but I did like that she left. I like that they fully addressed her trauma with Shredder like fuck yeah get out of there?! I don’t know how that storyline has been playing out because again, haven’t read it yet, but I am all for the idea of her striking it out on her own for a bit (oh also the shelter she was running at the start of the mutant town arc was a very sweet direction for her too forgot to mention that-)

I definitely really like her and I’d LOVEEE to see her get adapted into more versions! It was super cool seeing her in 2012 even if she didn’t stick around for long. She’s definitely a character filled to the brim with potential that I want to see more of, it’s just that from what I’ve seen so far she hasn’t quite been given a chance to reach it yet. I haven’t fully? Dug my teeth into all of IDW, so maybe I’m missing something? But ye! That’s the basics of my thoughts anyways AHA

This is probably the earliest I’ve watched any of these episodes after it aired. But I purposefully scheduled nothing this weekend so I could catch up on shows and maybe write a little bit about them. So we’re starting with BMF. I got my snacks, I got my drink, I’m ready to goooooo

-I would like the thank the previously on for reminding me that Kawi and Pisaeng kissed because I genuinely forgot about that. Whoops

-The further we get into this show, the more fitting I find this opening. I still love it. GMMTV either has openings I love or openings I hate. There is no in between. And it doesn’t necessarily correlate to whether or not I like a show.

-I don’t blame Pisaeng for telling Kawi it was a just a drunken kiss and cutting him off to tell him not to worry. Kawi has been very clear that he cannot have feelings for him because he’s straight.

-Max is a good friend. So is Pisaeng.

-I say it at least once an episode but I love Pear. I adore her. I know some people might not like that she decided to finish with her class after learning that Kawi’s dad is getting surgery but she knows Pisaeng is there and also she has spent the better part of 7 episodes giving herself and her kindness away to everyone else. She’s allowed to focus on something she wants and needs. She knows that Kawi currently has someone there to offer support so she doesn’t put her life on hold. Max is also waiting until he finishes work because sometimes we can’t just drop everything and run to be with someone. It’s great when we can but life is still happening and Pear will be there when she’s done. The important thing is this time, Kawi is not alone. That’s the best gift we gave himself from this time travel.

-Oh that opening song was slowed waaaay the hell down at the beginning of part 2. What’s gonna happen here? Something sad I bet.

-Is Kawi going to know this song? Does this mean that he gets his memory of those 12 years when he time travels? What’s happening here? This is one of my problems with Jittirain stories. There’s a lack of consistency in her world building. Let’s say for the sake of argument, this was a song that Kawi wrote as a teenage me so he knows it, but if he didn’t have memories and knowledge of those 12 years, he wouldn’t have known how it changed during production or what arrangement to use. And based on his reactions to his trips back to the future in previous episodes, he doesn’t have memories of those 12 years. At least not right away like that so I’m having trouble following how he knew to sing that song in that way. That’s why Jittirain shows can’t hold up to shows like 1000 Stars or Bad Buddy. The little details don’t matter in Jittirain shows but those details are what make a difference between shows that stick with you and the mediocre ones that you forget about once they’re done airing.

165.5k wow thats a lot,, most of it comes from one tho; everything else are shortfics

3. What fandoms do you write for?

DSMP and ive just started a bit of genshin at the behest of my Tartaglia-obsessed irl and he's kinda cool but like for 95% of my other fics its all cdream ahahahhh(dies)

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

"Consequences" tops the charts obviously bc its my one and only longfic and it was written during the peak of dsmp and man id link it bc i love my storyline (cdream obviously gets messed up in prison but then gets a healing arc) there but at the same time i feel like the writing had too many grammar mistakes and could be better so nahh

"North Star to Freedom" is one im actually really proud of, like obviously the writing could be better bc ive improved, but i just like it and id deffo rewrite it too if i had time or steal it into an original fic (premise is that cdream escapes prison with the rebibe book and oh lord my lingo anyways (spoilers) he dies and he gives techno book)

"Persevere" is third, wow that's a long time ago, its alright, i like it in general, but it feels almost cheesy. idk. i like it, but i dont like it. its not mixed feelings, but eh. anyways, something about cdream getting captured by the egg which is about to take over the world but he sacrifices himself to cleanse it. the most acute thing i rember about it is that its a 3parter

"Coup de Grace" ok wth i didnt expect this to be on there it was a small little cdream suffering in prison and cphil comes over, sees him in pain, and cough relieves him of it, and i dont like the writing in a specific part of it, but i like it in some other parts, so eh

"turn the claret tides" whoops i forgot what this one was about ok i glanced through the doc its ctechno getting cdream out of prison wow that title was really vague but he gets the letter and things went on.. it was inspired by another fic and happened during the hype of the prison arc which is kinda cool

(man im looking at the amount of fics i want to rewrite but it aint happening sadge)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Sometimes, most of the times nowadays, if it particularly made my day or it has something deep and insightful or literally makes any observation on my fic. sometimes im just too tired to answer,, maybe laziness is a part of it too, but i stare and its like,, i cant generate a response . but nowadays, i do it most of the times bc i appreciate my commenters :D

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

my recent fics mostly have happy endings, but all my pre-like, mid 2023 fics were all sad sad sad. they all ended in cdream dying, one way or the other. so idk which ones the saddest now its been too long,, the one i personally think is the saddest is one that i like, was listening to sad music to, the song being 'sociopath,' an orchestral piece (or was it piano?)
