I think Homer was in love lol 😆 (He definitely went for it and left no crumbs with this description from the 23rd Rhapsody of Odyssey!) - a little analysis

But on a little more serious note, his descriptions are amazing.

I love it how he describes his curly hair looking like hyakinths.

The comparison to hyakinths made me even more intensely imagine Odysseus having long hair (for example shoulder-lenth at least)

I also love the way he uses words! The word "οὖλας" for example can be translated in many ways! it can come from the word "ὅλοξ" which stands for "entire" or "complete" however it also comes from "οὖλος" which means "whooly" or "fleecy". In the Iliad Odysseus was described "looking like a ram" so the translation could either be "all his curls" or "his whooly, curls" and both are a wink to Odysseus's thick, curly hair.

Ironically though the same word is used to signify "cruel" or "destructful" which is what Odysseus was a few second before.

The same word also is sounding similar to the word "οὐλάς" which means "crisped" or "crinkled" which signifies how wounded Odysseus was by his whole 20 year old ordeal so Athena basically renews his body!

Last but not least sounds the same with the word "ουλή" which means "scar" so in a way again seems that it signifies Odysseus's body being so abused by time and harsh life! And Homer does that by just describing his hair!

The description of beauty rolling over him like molted gold perfects an artifact is simply perfection *chef kiss*

So...yeah Odysseus gets a glow-up! Hahahaha!

KAEYA HANGOUT ANALYSIS

Qubad: Fate means to send the machinations of war to every corner of the land, to fan the flames of conflict till they engulf the entire world...  Qubad: Fate would see my sword tainted with the blood of innocents, that the bright banner of my homeland might fly in every nation known to mankind. 

It so perfectly tells you what will happen in Kaeya's story without actually saying it. It's utterly lovely.

Firstly, it points out that Kaeya does not like violence, does not want it and he hates that fate wants him to be active participant in the creation of violence.

The homeland in the story could seem to be reffering to Khaenri'ah if you don't think about it too hard. But, weirdly, it reppresents both at different times of the play. In the beginning, fate wants the homeland to win, which would imply it's not exactly a 1:1 to Khaenri'ah unless the heavens have a weirdly convuluted plan as they themselves are the ones that destroyed it to begin with. It is also a place with a god, as you can tell in multiple points in the story.

Qubad: When I departed my beloved home to fight in a foreign land, I did so to honor his wishes and for my duty to our people.  Qubad: Alas, is this fate's grand design... Is this fate's grand design... Qubad: Must it be so...?

Kaeya was, in a way sent to fight in a foreign land. Not in the sense of physically fighint but in the sense tha he's an agent there for a specific goal we are not privy through.

He's placed in the impossible position of having to choose between Mondstadt, the place he loves and Khaenri'ah, his homeland who he owes a duty to. Fate, not his father decided this. His father has not helped the situation, his father has harmed him, but in the end he is not the one that created the problem in the first place. As Kaeya's himself points out here.

Kaeya: Yep, "inept" is a good word for it. Honestly, it might even be a little too civil to describe a god who turns fathers against their sons and is bent on endless warmongering... don't you think?

While there is clearly an arger towards his father, Kaeya does not see him as a bad person but as someone who was forced to be evil. A victim of manipulation, just as much of a pawn of this game as Kaeya himself is. The god (Celestia) is in the end the main problem. Because he set up the twisted system in teh first place.

 Qubad: I, Qubad, will spend the rest of my days in a foreign land, till I breathe my last in a place far from home. Qubad: But I shall not bow to the will of fate. I am no pawn in heaven's plan. Qubad: Gundafar, my dear mentor... You have always been like a father to me. It brings me only anguish to bid you farewell.  Qubad: But I must walk this path, or freedom dies by my hand. Goodbye, my tribe and kin. Farewell, sweet land of my birth.

The important part of the hangout is this. "I shall not bow to the will of fate. I am no pawn." Kaeya makes his decision. He's made up his mind finally. He knows what he should do.

Now. What is that?

Well, we can see in the play in Kaeya's improv that he'll say goodbye to his mentor who was like a father to him. He also says goodbye to his kin and his tribe. He isn't picking either the side of his family of choise and his blood.

What we see here is fundamental. Kaeya shouts it at us. He is not picking either side, because both have significance to him. It's important to realize that the thing with his sides, that is also made up. It's a construct set up by the gods. Neither side is whooly right or whooly wrong. The Heavens WANT kaeya to choose.

Kaeya: If you don't like the script, just walk off the stage and join the audience. You always have a choice.

You always have a choice. There is always a less obvious choice. The Heavens do not control anything.

Qubad: My dear audience, I ask you this: Do you believe in fate? If fate decreed that your life was to end in tragedy, what would you do?

The point it's making about Kaeya's story is fundamental to both his and the travler's story. Kaeya's life is to end in greatness and tragedy as his constellation says. It's written in the part. But Kaeya is no pawn, and Kaeya will not turn back, as freedom itself, as a concept dies. Unlike his father, he will not let himself be tainted by hate and preperpetuate the cycle of violence that the warmogering gods want him to do.

Anyways this is my coming out as a "Kaeya isn't picking either Khaenri'ah or Mondstadt he's picking the secret third option the heavens don't want you to know about."

It's based on the cartoonish caveman stone protowheel, as well as of course the very popular whooly mammoth, and it also has a few details similar to Copperajah, like the 4 horns on top of its head.

Let us now move forwards to the future.

Since Donphan is also lowkey a car, what better way to represent the future of a car than with flight? That's right! Donphlight is now a flying car, and it's also based on Dumbo because it's the only other elephant that flies, really. It also has way smaller tusks to reflect the way some elephants might have better chances of survival because of them being poached for their tusks, which is honestly terrible.

Translation: Mick explaining the Miami GP track with Sky Sport Germany

Mick: "Whooly different and you feel like you're on a pitch, which we actually are!"

Sasha: "Yes, this is our track, 5.4 km long - what are the special features here, besides it being built on a parking lot and around a football stadium?"

Mick: "Yeah, what's special is actually driving under the bridge here (points to turn 13-16) which is a really great part (of the track), really tight, really twisty, but we also have the really fast corners (turns 4-9). So we have a lot of variety of corners, you have a pretty nice flow actually, and the only part where the flow is not that good is here at at the turn 14/15 chicane, it doesn't fit in that well, yet, but I think it'll get better in time."

Sasha: "We can take a closer look at that using the example of Lewis Hamilton from the third Free Practice, so from this morning. It's exactly the turn that you spoke of earlier, these fast corners. What is the dangerous or the difficult part here?"

Mick: "Yeah, exactly. We actually drive over it with the whole car, others manage to only drive over it with the tyres and it's really important to have a good exit here. This passage can cost you a lot of time but can also save you a lot of time. If you manage it well and fast and have a good car for it, you're gonna be fast."

Sasha: "It'll be dangerous for the long straight to have a lack of top speed at Mercedes in comparison to the others - is that due to the dynamic?"

Mick: "You want to find a good compromise of aerodynamic and a good straight line speed and we have decided we would rather like more contact pressure to have it better in this fast part and to feel better. Here (you have) a lot of rear wind, so the tyres usually stall, so it'll definitely be tricky today."

Had one of the craziest Skyrim fights yet

So I walk up to the temple containing a word I needed to complete my best shout, Arcane Helix (thunderchild), which I rely on for big boss fights. I was whooly unprepared for Alduin so I really freaking need it.

Standing in front of the ruin was a Nordic Sentinel (one of Mhail's Monsters) that alone was going to be a beast because, while obscenely slow, those things are so freaking huge that they shake the ground and stagger you with every move and hit so hard that they can one-shot me and ragdoll anything they don't kill.

Then, as if Alduin himself was mocking me, three dragons attacked (Deadly Dragons) right as that thing woke up.

Now the dragons went after my other three followers in the felid, while Nebarra, brave sonofabitch/"tactical genius" that he is, decided to take on the sentinel alone. The construct was staggering me every five seconds and ragdolling him into the wall with every hit. Frankly he needed the support so I fiem'ed and ran over to cover.

So I ran into cover (because everything can one-shot me) and summoned my Indrik (also Mihail's) and start hurling de-buffs, namely Vulnerability spells (Odin magics) and Arcane Helix, both of which make elemental attacks do more damage, and then I started in with the fire breath shout. I don't have much direct offense besides a sword and my one and the deer so de-buffing the big bosses and shouting when I get an opening is actually a better use of my time than attempting to join in the DPS.

It worked. The sentinel was the first one down. Fear the de-buff queen and her ever-healing allies!

It takes a special kind of stupid to play support in a single-player game but I was up to the task.

Then we ran over and joined the others. These dragons are a trip, they rain fire and frost from the sky, cause geysers to erupt under targets, and can kill me in one hit.

Their breath weapon leaves behind these horrible lingering elemental walls that can kill me instantly on contact. The NPCs only fare slightly better.

Had all three down on the ground after a bit.

And then.. Some Imperial Soldiers showed up to shoot at them.

Don't worry guys, he's got this!

And then after all that, that huge circus, one. Solitary. Dragur. came to fight us all. He would succeed where three dragons and a stone titan failed! One soldier died and the other needed a heal, then I pulled my sword, charged in, and killed the thing myself with the Hallowed Strikes spell (also Odin) in effect.

He got hit by the sun explosion my power-attack triggered, and, despite it doing literally nothing to him on account of him not being undead, he decided that that was reason enough to try and kill me.

Ingrate.

Had to hit him with a calm spell and run.

...Also a named Echatere (4thUnknown's Echatere mod) died at some point during the fight. Poor spider-mammal.. Thing.

I died so many times during this entire ordeal that I lost count.

Is there a memory that you remember when you were human

My memories of my mortal life are a lil' fuzzy, but I remember growin' up in Direland and runnin' along the Cliffs of Moan-her. I would look out to the ocean and drwam of what it would be like to fly on the wind. It drove my mama batty, always scoldin' me that I could fall over the edge haha. I also vaguely remember mama and I bein' gifted a whooly Highland cow. I loved that cow.

Kas had recently taken an interest in snail shells. She had heard there was a snail show coming up and luckily it was on Cider’s off day. Meaning she can drag him along with her.

To make things easier Kas stayed the night with Cider the day before his off day so he didn’t have to pick her up. Kas had put on a dress that matched some of the patterns she saw on the snail but in green. Currently Kas and Cider were arriving at the show.

Kas: I’m so excited to see the snails, I heard they can come in many color and you can even breed them.

Cider: YEA, THERES A FAMILY UP NORTH WHO HAVE A TON OF T’ WHOOLY SNAILS ON THEIR FARM.

He talks a bit about livestock snails as they head to the show. It’s not a big one, only a handful of breeders and some enthusiastic purebred pet owners are there showing off their animals. One stall has a frail lookin skeleton monster with her own setup of snails on display. There’s a stack of adoption forms and a register so she must be one of the breeders
