God, there really are so many people who don't understand Eddie Diaz in this fandom and I find it hilarious after this last episode.
Up to this point, Eddie Diaz only knows that he loved one person in his life: Shannon.
Are you going to tell me that if you lost the love of your life completely unexpectedly and found someone EXACTLY LIKE them on the street, you wouldn't stop to talk to them, ask them for a date?
Eddie is human, he's not thinking this, he's following his instinct (something he himself said last episode always ends badly for him) and he doesn't care what others think because he already knows this is a mistake.
Lying to Buck is just one example of that because lying to Buck is Eddie lying to himself, still trying, even in part of his life, to remain the perfect person he thinks he should be.
And the saddest thing of all is that this whole situation with Kim is not going to go well on their date because she is not Shannon.
Kim probably drinks a different wine, is allergic to some food Shannon loved, doesn't want kids, and Eddie is going to freak out, because he cheated on his girlfriend by going on a date with his ex-wife's ghost for no reason.
And that is going to lead him to question everything, how although this did not work for him to replace Shannon, it served him to close his story, he is going to question why he feels so ashamed for having failed all the teachings he received throughout his life (Catholic guilt arc), how he probably made Buck angry by lying to him and now he has to fix it because he hates Buck walking away (and he's going to think about why exactly that bothers him so much), how he's going to have to leave Marisol and with that go back to alter Christopher's life.
So yeah, Eddie cheating is pretty out of character, but it makes him even more real than anything else could have and brings him closer to becoming that version of himself that he's been trying to be all his life.

only way pining is at all silent is if eddie realizes first which. honestly idk if i vibe with that
right lmao. not even for any reason other than that i don't know what it would look like? just a ton of subtle eddie face acting? clearly they're fine with turning his character into whatever but even if he realized, historically, he's more likely to just keep shoving it down and not letting it affect their friendship. which might be fun in some ways but like, not a lot of drama. i can think of a hundred ways this could go without Silent Pining but right now the vision i'm into is (and this will not happen but i'm dreaming) (also it got so long and you didn't even ask but i had to put it under the cut):
buck realizing somehow... either tommy says something when they amicably break up that makes him think - not "you're in love with eddie" but "i don't feel like i can give you what you want" - or maybe buddie get into some kind of minor but very apt Situation as a catalyst, idk. once buck puts it together, he's a general disaster for an episode after because now he DOES know what he wants and he doesn't know how to go after it. very 7x04 but less unhinged - maybe from buck's pov again lmao. he freaks out to maddie about it at the end; he's like, maddie, i think i'm in love with eddie. she soothes him and reminds him of what he and eddie have, and then she asks him, what are you going to do? (she doesn't tell him to tell eddie how he feels; she didn't do it before!) and buck just looks so wide-eyed and conflicted, honestly a little petrified, but he's like, i have to tell him. i need to go. i'll call you later.
he confesses to eddie in the following episode because he's buck, he can't hold it in. and eddie's absolutely floored, he did not see that coming in a million years, but he responds with all the kindness in the world. he says that buck's always going to be his best friend (?!?!?! BEGINNING OF THE END FOR BEST FRIENDISM) and this won't come between them, but he asks for a little time to... figure things out. because he's never given himself enough grace to do that. he just needs time. it's obvious something is up with them - with buck, who's trying very hard to keep it together, and with eddie, who's being mildly awkward; they won't look at each other - and everyone's like, what's happening there? at some point eddie sits down with bobby and they have the most gut-wrenching heart-to-heart you'll ever hear, about god and family and shannon, and they don't talk about buck, but bobby knows it's about buck, too. eddie starts to feel more settled. you can tell that the wheels are turning in his beautiful little head.
next episode, buck and eddie are mostly back to normal. mostly. to buck, hen's like, did you two figure things out? and buck's like uh... yeah! we're all good! cut to a flashback where they're trying to have a beer together at eddie's and it's just like always (except it's not) and then Something That Wouldn't Normally Be Romantic But Feels Romantic happens that takes things from slightly heavy to straight-up awkward. thankfully it's interrupted. maybe maddie calls or something. buck makes a hasty escape. eddie watches him go, lingering. godspeed to buck. he obviously doesn't notice that that's been happening a lot. but it's true, they are mostly back to normal, they're working like a well-oiled machine, they're talking, they're teasing each other, it's fine. buck is just relieved that he didn't ruin everything. the focus isn't really on them anyway, we just get a glimpse to tide us over.
then we get a more eddie-centric episode that's very much focused on eddie and chris and their relationship. maybe chris is going through something, maybe other diazes are involved, who knows. buck isn't really at the forefront, it's about eddie, but he shows up in small ways: chris mentions him a few times (that don't go unnoticed), eddie himself mentions him a few times, etc. either way the chris situation has something to do with their past, shannon, etc. i want eddie to have one good conversation with a family member, maybe pepa or ramon (could be helena, but i would like for them to deal with her in a different way). something that helps him realize he's not going to be alone. something about being there, showing up. i want him to hear that he's a good father and he deserves good things too. something that makes him feel like he can accept his world shattering a little bit if it's for buck. i can't decide whether i want him to actually, like, come out, but i do want it to be clear that he's been Thinking and Introspecting about his identity in the time we haven't seen him.
another episode... finally the 118 get clued in a little bit. this is totally wish fulfillment, but i want so badly for eddie and chim to have some kind of conversation (perhaps hen is there as well)... full circle for eddie telling chim (multiple times) to go after maddie... chim made the call on shannon... plus chim got a front-row seat to this whole disaster... anyway. howdie conversation. eddie says, buck told me he's in love with me. chim's like wtf but then he's like oh... that makes sense... and then we get a callback to the tomorrow isn't promised to anyone conversation. because eddie has known since buck confessed: he loves buck too, badly. it's just that it seemed like there were a thousand reasons why he couldn't have it. he realizes that over the course of this, all of those reasons seem to have fallen away: bobby helped absolve him of his guilt over shannon and his guilt over god; chris helped absolve him of his guilt over fatherhood, over not being able to build the Correct kind of family; the other diazes helped absolve him of his guilt over his desperate wish to not have to do it all alone and to not have to do it exactly right; and hen and chim give him the push to realize he's not actually out of time. things can change. he can be better. he can have good things. the 118 felt like his first good thing in a long time. so.
(meanwhile buck is... well... i don't know what he's doing. probably his own thing, some kind of arc where he realizes he isn't a worthless piece of shit and people love him. i would like him to be in therapy. he can go agonize to tommy. he and eddie continue to have weird moments all the time. haven't thought that far really).
AND THEN. it's the mid-season finale (because i want this to be 8a but i will take 8b as well so it can be the regular finale). eddie asks buck if they can talk later. buck is about to lose his mind. things are all tentative but something has clearly shifted. eddie seems lighter. everyone except buck understands what's going on, somehow. buck had mostly made peace with eddie possibly not saying it back; they're still best friends, the world didn't end, and buck is happy to wait. things are funny and soft. until... THEY get trapped in a BIG SITUATION!!!!!! a possibly-inescapable situation! either it's eddie or it's both of them. eddie doesn't confess in this situation and buck wouldn't let him anyway. instead they finally talk about when eddie got shot + the will, but this time it's eddie realizing what it was like for buck (The Bathena Parallels). he didn't get to see buck's devotion when the well collapsed or when he was bleeding out in the street, but he gets to see it now. buck tells eddie he loves him for the second time ever. we get because, evan 2.0. then they're rescued against all odds obviously.
after the ordeal, they're both exhausted and fucked up and eddie asks buck if he wants to come over. buck says yes, obviously. cue love confession of all time in eddie's kitchen, where eddie's voice and eyes and hands are so gentle. then they kiss like they're trying to eat each other. buddie canon. <3

I know I'm pretty new to 911 & buddie but I've been enjoying the ship in silence for a couple months & I have a question...
Why in the fanfics & headcanons does the fandom insist that Buck is loud & open but Eddie is the one who fails to express his feelings?
I can see where you get confused, Eddie is catholic (to an extent), was in the military, has a panic attack over a new relationship that results in a doctor calling him "repressed". All those surface level point to a man who is terrible at expressing himself I get it.
But I wanna talk about Buck & Eddie here & how canon shows us this isn't TRUE.
Buck may be loud in his love but only with other people who aren't Eddie.
Like with his sister, when he first starts his friendship with Eddie he goes on & on about what a great father he is & how he needs some help. She even calls it a crush before giving him advice. He doesn't talk about this moment with Eddie of course.
Then we have off screen to think about. Where he calls Carla to ask for help on Eddie's behalf. Because we KNOW the conversation was probably similar to the one he had with Maddie. Where he rants & raves about how great Eddie is as a father & how adorable Chris is before explaining that they need a little help. Carla, well she probably thinks about the time Abby's mom went missing & Buck rushed over to help find her even when him & Abby hadn't even MET yet because that's what he does for people he loves. He tries to fix the problems for them & Carla probably gets it. Understands before Buck might even that he loves Eddie & doesn't hesitate to meet with this mystery person with the amazing son.
If you think Eddie is quiet you are mistaken, he is private. Also he can express his feelings very well you just may not be able to translate them yet.
Because Eddie doesn't say things in a way people can always understand but if you do than you can hear Eddie screaming his love for Buck & you wouldn't call him quiet.
Eddie "you can have my back anyday" Diaz isn't quiet.
After the tsunami he looked Buck in the eye with his hand on his shoulder & thumb on his pulse & said clear as day "Buck, there's nobody in this world I trust with my son more than you." Thats pretty freaking straightforward if you ask me.
Tumblr media
Lets go to the well now. Where as soon as that dirt fell with Eddie under it Buck screamed & sobbed & yelled & tried to dig Eddie out with his bare hands in front of an audience of strangers some other firefighters & some not. And no one probably told Eddie how insane Buck went with grief. They probably never talked about it once he got out because under the water Eddie was passing out & Buck's voice was the first one he heard when things started to go black. But then Eddie swam out & the first thing he did was go to his lawyer about changing his will.
Tumblr media
Then we have the lawsuit & the grocery store argument. Where Buck is stumbling & stuttering & failing to make his team understand, to make Eddie understand his point of view because Buck isn't actually SAYING anything. Then we have Eddie. Eddie who is PISSED Eddie who calls Buck exhausting & says how much he wishes he can talk to Buck & how much Chris MISSES Buck & yeah it hurts like hell to hear but at least Eddie is SAYING something when Buck isn't saying much of anything.
Then we go to the make up. Where Buck is quick to make a joke about ghosting & Halloween because he fails at communicating well and Eddie doesn't laugh because nothing about this has been funny to him. Then Buck gets serious & begs Eddie to talk to him even if its to yell & say he's still angry like he did in the grocery store. Because Buck knows anything is better than this silence because Eddie normally isn't this silent, not with him, not with Buck anyway. Then they are okay again or at least on their way.
Don't get me wrong though Buck still fails at interpreting Eddie speak too, even if he's the expert. Like in that kitchen scene (you know the one) where Buck admits his failure to see Eddie was in pain & needed help. He even says he understands that Eddie probably wanted to beat the crap out of him & Eddie laughs it off like "I wouldn't do that... you're on blood thinners" & Buck doesn't fully grasp that's Eddie speak for "I would never hit you no matter how pissed you make me." It doesn't matter though because their son is in the living room waiting for a round of video games so they just fall back into their routine.
Tumblr media
Then we get to the shooting. There's so much blood, so much so that Eddie gets confused & asks if Buck is hurt because he thinks he may have been shot too & that would probably kill Eddie before the bullet does.
Tumblr media
Then we have Buck being asked if he's okay by a fellow firefighter & him answering an honest "no", then he's shaking in front of Taylor, & breaking down crying in front of Chris & all these people GET it. Get how much Buck loves Eddie but Eddie doesn't SEE these moments does he? He may get a second retelling by his son but by then Buck already mentioned the crying & its been downplayed & washed of any romantic subtext. And Buck says how he should have gotten shot instead of Eddie & you can SEE the tears forming in Eddie's eyes because how can Buck casually say such a heartbreaking thing like that? Doesn't he GET it? How much he means to Eddie? Hasn't he HEARD Eddie over the years? Then Eddie realizes once again that even Buck isn't an absolute expert on Eddie speak yet so he doesn't know giving him his son to watch & love is the equivalent to Eddie ripping out his own heart & saying "here its yours." Or that "you can have my back" isn't a proper way to ask someone out. Or that "Chris misses you" doesn't exactly translate into "I miss you" automatically.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then they talk & Eddie says that Buck is legally in charge of his child in the result of his death because Buck is important & loved & not expendable like he thought because how could he have ever thought that? And Eddie did this a year ago right after he almost died & the first voice his heard in his head was Buck's & its crazy to me that you guys say Buck is louder in his love & better at communicating when Eddie is out here getting legal documents filed out signed with Evan Buckley on them without hesitation.
Tumblr media
Maybe you guys just aren't an expert at Eddie speak yet.

I just. I just thought about Eddie holding baby Jee-Yun? And singing to her while she clutches at his finger with her tiny meaty baby hand??
Maybe Buck freaked out a little because she was being fussy and wouldn't settle, and its probably nothing but hey, who better to call than Eddie, who conveniently has the day off and cuts off Buck's panicked rambling with a soothing;
"Its okay, Buck. Give me ten minutes, okay? You're doing great. She's probably just restless."
Eddie gets there and sends Buck off to cook dinner or shower or take a nap, scooping Jee-Yun out of her travel crib and making sure she's changed, warm, fed and content. And its been so long since Christopher was this tiny, but holding Jee-Yun makes him think back to that tiny, wriggly little bundle in his arms for the first time, back before it all went to shit.
Eddie pacing slowly around the lower loft, singing quietly, tickling her little chin, grinning when she giggles and gurgles at him. And he can see so much of Maddie and Chimney in her already. She's got Maddie's eyes and Chimney's lopsided grin.
(And for a little crack, maybe Buck catches this scene and is so overwhelmed he just blurts out; "put a baby in me!" And Eddie is like; "... What?" 👁👄👁 Which cues a hilariously awkward but heartfelt confession of feelings on both sides.)
Hey hey! So I like I told you I started this a while ago and then got SEVERE AND DEBILITATING writers block, and it sat waiting for new life. And then 5x03 happened, so Hello, new life! I hope you love it!
With You, My Life, I Will Get Married
Warning: mild spoilers for 9-1-1 season 5 episode 3.
Chimney was out searching for Maddie.
After shifts, on weekends, whenever he had a second, he was either spending time with Jee or out searching for her mom.
In times when he was on the search everyone at the 118 was making time to watch Jee Yun. Mrs. Lee was doing what she could, but couldn't always be available, and when that happened, Jee would spend some time at Bobby and Athena's or by Hen and Karen. And when they had too much going on, or when either of the uncles felt like they weren't getting enough time with their beautiful niece, she would spend time at her Uncle Buck's or Uncle Albert's.
Uncle Buck got lucky this time.
Eight hours in and everything had gone wrong. Buck shoulders were damp with spit-up, baby drool, and snot and all Jee seemed capable of doing was crying, crying, crying.
"I'm so sorry! I don't know what I did wrong, and, and now--just, Jee, please, it's okay, I'm here--!"
She continued to yell and Buck got more and more panicked. "Your Uncle Albert's gonna be here in like 5 minutes, Jee, okay? And then, maybe, maybe he's better with you? And will make you happy, and then--Oh God, what have I done wrong--"
A knocking at the door sent him back on his feet, swaying toward the loft entrance. It opened before he could get there, however, and he stopped where he was, a furious Jee Yun screaming in his ears as Eddie Diaz, not Albert Han, walked in.
"You look like you're having fun." Eddie's eyebrow was raised and his mouth quirked in a teasing smile.
"Eddie...?" Buck's momentary shock was interrupted as Jee let out another wail. "Um, sorry, this isn't the best time at the moment, but Albert--"
"--has a date tonight and sent me as his relief." Eddie reached out and plucked Jee Yun from Buck's arms. "And you have a date with your shower and a few hours' sleep."
"I--no, it's okay, I know you just got off shift--"
"Buck." Eddie shifted Jee to one arm, and the other rested on Buck's chest, over his pattering heartbeat. He met Buck's eyes, his own calm despite the bundle of adorable chaos still screaming bloody murder into his shoulder. "Go shower."
"...Yeah, okay."
***
She truly was one of the cutest babies, even when she was liable to wake up the neighborhood with her noise, Eddie thought with a smile as he re-seated her over one shoulder and began to firmly but gently tap her back.
"Your Tio Eddie is going to assume this is a gas issue, okay, chiquita? Christopher used to have this all the time, and he would scream and cry." Eddie huffed ruefully. "I was useless at it then, but Shannon showed me what to do." He kept tapping at her back. "Good set of lungs means a healthy baby, good job, Jee. Now, let's see if we can't get this gas out of you so you can calm down and you and your Tio Buck can get some sleep, okay?"
Eddie started circling the room, the sun beginning to set as he heard he shower turn on.
"There you go, see? Your Buck is going to get all showered since you drooled all over him, and then you both can get some sleep, how's that sound?"
He was answered with a burp far louder than Jee's small body should be capable of making. Then a sweet gurgling sound as she nestled her chin into his shoulder.
"There, feel better, mi princesa?" Eddie whispered against her soft, downy hair. "When I was small and got upset, and my parents got annoyed with my sulking, they'd send me to Abuela. And she would sit me down on her lap, just like this," he sat down on Buck's couch, and settled Jee Yun against his broad chest, rubbing her small back with a large warm hand. "And she would hug me until I forgot what I was so upset about. All I could think about was the smell of her perfume and how much I wanted to be like her one day.
"Then Pepa would come out and yell at both of us that it's about damn time we came into the house, dinner doesn't make itself." Eddie laughed at the memory. Jee made a small discontented noise and Eddie stood up again, walking toward the kitchen, where he saw the half-formed works of bottle making on the counter. "Shhh, princesa, Tio Eddie's gonna make you a bottle." With Jee over his shoulder, sounding more and more on the edge of hunger-panic, Eddie quickly assembled a bottle then leaned back against the kitchen island and cradled Jee Yun in his arms, pressing the nipple to her mouth, which she accepted gratefully.
"Better, yeah? Where was I...? Oh." Eddie smiled. "Once we were inside, Pepa, Abuela and I would make arroz con leche. Abuella would wash the rice, Pepa would be tutting the whole time about too much sugar, but she would always wink at me and add just a bit more before the cinnamon." Eddie couldn't help the smile that stole over his face as he remembered Abuela's warm kitchen in her El Paso ranch house before she and Pepa relocated to LA. In winter, the windows would fog over from the heat of whatever was on the stove. When she left, a lot of Eddie's heart left with her.
"They used to sing me the song too, you know?" Jee gurgled around her dinner and Eddie smiled again. "Well, I wasn't planning to sing it, but you drive a hard bargain." Eddie's poked Jee's soft cheek with a finger and began to sing.
Arroz con leche se quiere casar con una viudita de la capital, que sepa tejer, que sepa bordar, que ponga la aguja en su campanal.
(English translation: Rice with milk (rice pudding) Wishes to get married With a little widow from the capital. Who knows how to weave (or knit), Who knows how to embroider, Who puts the church steeple in the bell tower.)
***
Eddie was no American Idol contestant, but his voice was soothing and good. Strong. Listening to him sing from his seat on the stairs, Buck almost felt like he was where Jee currently snuggled, right against Eddie's chest, as his bass voice sung the gentle Spanish lyrics, harmonized by the occasional happy noise from Jee Yun.
Yo soy la viudita la hija del rey. Me quiero casar y no sé con quien. Contigo sí, contigo no, Contigo mi vida me casaré yo.
(English translation: I am the widow The daughter of the king, I want to get married and I don’t know with whom. With you, yes. With you, no. With you, my life, I will get married.)
Buck's head knocked lightly against the banister, body relaxing. He wasn't wearing a shirt, just the softest sweatpants he owned with a towel draped over his shoulders to catch water from the mess of wet curls on his head.
Eddie's so hard on himself all the time. I don't get it. He's such a good dad.
Dazedly, Buck's eyes fixed on Eddie's mouth as he repeated the verses again. Then Eddie sighed.
"Afterward Pepa would ask me who I want to marry and Abuela would laugh at me, and I'd always complain--" Jee gurgled again. "Like that, yes. But honestly, it was nice... Even though between you and me, Pepa can't sing very well at all." Eddie's lips quirked again in a smile. "Kind of like your Uncle Buck."
Buck startled at his name and looked up at Eddie's eyes. They twinkled back at him in the dying last light of the day, Eddie's golden skin lit by the last rays of the sun. Buck felt his face heat with a blush, knew there was nothing to do about it.
"Sorry, I should've--"
"Feel better after your shower?"
Buck sighed and smiled. "Yeah. World's better." He stood, stretching out his long legs as he descended the stairs. It was full dark now, but Buck didn't feel like turning on a light. "I can take her now."
"Nope." Eddie met him midway, hand on Buck's shoulder turning him around. "You're both getting some sleep now." One hand on Buck's shoulder, the other holding a drowsy Jee Yun, Eddie guided him back up the stairs, and pressed Buck down until he was sitting on his bed.
"Eddie, are you sure--"
"Shhh." Eddie deposited Jee into Buck's arms, then sat down behind him. "You can hold her for now." Eddie's hands skimmed up Buck's warm back then pulled the towel off Buck's shoulders, laying it on top of Buck's head, where a corner flopped over his eyes.
"Eddie?"
"Hold still, Buck."
Eddie's strong hands curled into the towel and Buck's hair, rubbing vigorously to get it dry. "Seriously, anyone who has ever seen your hair at work would marvel at how different it looks before you comb and gel all the life out of it." He rubbed vigorously, and Buck felt himself relaxing back against Eddie's chest. Tomorrow, he might look back at this and feel embarrassed. He might have to apologize. Tomorrow, he would go back to hiding how much he felt for the man who was drying his hair, still absent-mindedly humming the Arroz con leche tune under his breath. But for now, Eddie was too near and too warm and too... Eddie. And Buck found that he couldn't deny himself Eddie right now.
Buck cleared his throat and made himself focus on their conversation. "I used to wear my hair naturally, but people said it looked floppy. Made me look like a puppy."
"People are stupid sometimes, Buck. You know this." Eddie's thumb traced the shell of Buck's ear. "And if you think slicking back your hair makes you look less like a puppy, you really shouldn't be bothering." He snickered as Buck tried to shoulder his chest and Jee made a noise of complaint.
"So I just look like a puppy all the time, huh?"
The towel dropped. Eddie's arms came around, holding onto Buck and Jee Yun both. "I think you're a beautiful man, Buck."
The air in Buck's chest hiccupped out of his mouth. His heart picked up speed as the places where Eddie's hands rested on his stomach seemed to heat from within. "Y... Eddie?"
"Shhh. Sleep now. Jee's asleep, but who knows for how long." Eddie's voice was gruff, embarrassed. "I'll just--"
"Stay?" It came out too high, too soft. Buck cleared his throat and tried again. "I mean, if it isn't any trouble, and--"
"I can stay." Eddie's arms tightened around Buck again and he pulled him backwards until Buck could lay out flat on his back, before pressing Buck's head down on his pillow. Then Eddie pulled Jee from Buck's arms and sat back against the headrest, legs folded together, Buck's niece cuddled again against his chest. "Sleep now."
"Okay." There was so much Buck wanted to know. To say. It all got stopped in his throat as fear tamped it all down to squirm in his chest.
"Eddie?" The word found its way out.
"Hm?"
"...Nothing."
A sigh. Then, "Come here."
Buck didn't hesitate, moving his head off the pillow and onto Eddie's lap. Eddie's spare hand found its way back into his curls and tugged lightly before stroking through them, gently, so gently.
"Sleep now."
"Okay. But," Buck's jaw cracked around a large yawn. "Before... you have to know..."
"Hm?"
"You are... so beautiful... Eddie Diaz."
Buck felt Eddie's hand tighten in his hair again, before releasing, fingers wandering down to trace his eyebrows, his nose, his lips.
"Sleep, querido."
As Buck's eyes slipped closed, and awareness almost dropped away, he swore he could feel lips press lightly right above his eye, on his birth mark.
"Contigo mi vida me casaré yo."

Hi I was wondering if you have any thoughts or theories based on everything we do now about 5B? More specifically regarding Buddie and the Buckley Diaz family? I always enjoy reading your meta's. Sorry if this is to vague.
Hi lovely! Nooo, don't apologize for anything, I'm always so happy to hear from friends! *huuugs*
I'm just sorry, 'coz I might disappoint you. XD I try to speculate as little as possible. I'm just always scared of becoming too attached to a specific idea or scenario. And I know speculations are fun! But I also want watching the eps to be fun, and I feel like that's easier with less expectations. But then again, every once in a while, 911 just waltzes right in and destroys even the highest of expectations, doesn't it? NO ONE thought at the start of s4 or even half way through it that Eddie would be shot at the end of that season, and even when we had a pretty good idea from spoilers that he probably will be, we had no clue that the shooting will be so tied in with Buck, who would watch it, and get Eddie's blood sprayed all over him, and would risk his own life in order to get Eddie out of there. In our wildest dreams, we wouldn't have expected an almost passed out Eddie to be so focused on Buck, asking if he's hurt. And the legal guardianship reveal? Just. kjashdfkasdhfjs UN-FREAKING-REAL. So yeah, sometimes I also feel we don't need to speculate 'coz what 911 ends up serving is so much better than anything we cook in our own minds...
Since the moment we saw that last scene of 510, where Eddie quit, the only thing I felt I knew about 5b is that Eddie WILL return to the 118, and that this story WILL involve Buck. And so far, based on all the spoilers we got, I think that's shaping out to be true. That being said, I'm NGL, it's never been HARD to keep my expectations low 'coz every spoiler we've been getting seems so good? Eddie having a breakthrough, Buck being there for him, Maddie returning, all the clues that B/T aren't it finally paying off and Buck getting to choose to end a r/s instead of being abandoned... It all feels like 911 is gearing to serve us a feast.
What did you have in mind for 5b, my lovely? Sending tons of hugs and kisses to you! xoxox
And if you or anyone else are looking for other replies of mine, you can find them in my ask tag. xoxox
