INDYCAR DRIVERS AS ROMANCE BOOK TROPES
summary: I give romance tropes to my favourite funky indycar men. if y’all actually want to see me do any of these, please tell me in the comments 🫣
dedicated to my bestie @magnummagnussen who helped ghostwrite and give her ideas on a few of the tropes! (sorry for not including sting ray bestie, I have his trope to callum!)
pato o ward
reverse grumpy sunshine!!! pato is a bright ball of sunshine and in an ideal romance book he would pair with a girl who is a little grumpy (just a little bit) and cynical about falling in love and then dear sweet patricio would sweep in and show her just how magical being in love can be and show her that soulmates are real and life doesn’t have to be doom and gloom all the time
josef newgarden
single dad x nanny trope! I can see this playing out as recently widowed josef (probably not the right word) struggling to balance being the only caregiver for his son next to his racing career. cue y/n, the nanny he hires to watch after his son while he’s away and competing. he’s scared to fall in love again because he’s still grieving what he once had, but his son grows attached to y/n and how could josef not fall in love with someone his son loves so much?
kyle kirkwood
second chance romance! he lost her once, and now that she’s back in his life he won’t give her up!! the way I see this one playing out is that maybe they were together before kyle made it to the big leagues, back when nobody in america knew his name. but while she was deciding which ivy league scholarship to choose, Kyle is thinking about his career. she gives him an ultimatum, and he picks racing. so she goes to her big fancy school and forgets about him. but when a family tragedy brings her back to florida and she comes face to face with kyle, who is now a grand prix winner, hes desperate to keep her from being the one who got away.
colton herta
accidental pregnancy!! their relationship was falling apart, the distance and the pressures of colton’s career. eating them alive. words were said that couldn’t be taken back. so they called it quits, he moved to nashville and she tried to keep her head down and finish school. until she missed her period. her world seems to be ending with those two little lines, but she still cares about him. she can’t just keep coltons child a secret from him, this disaster is as much his fault as it is hers. so she goes to indiana the weekend before the 500 and she tells him. tensions are running high between them both, but they’re trying to do right by each other and the baby, and the experience reminds them that maybe they were meant to be together all along.
marcus armstrong
brothers best friend!!! y/n ilott knows that marcus is off limits. since she was fifteen she’s thought all her brothers friends were gross anyways. marcus was always by far the most annoying. fast forward a few years and they’re racing together in the same series again and suddenly marcus armstrong isn’t a gross as she remembers. and has his voice always been that sexy?? but callum can NEVER know.
david malukas
wrong number! let’s face it this man is too lazy to make contacts for half of the names in his phone. he was so sure that was sting rays number. why wouldn’t it be, the man from idaho had typed it in himself. turns out, it wasn’t sting ray at all, but some random college student who lived over a thousand miles away. he starts to text her when she gets bored, eventually progressing to face time calls, and begins to get flustered once he has a face to put with the personality. ends with him flying out to meet in her in person.
christian lundgaard
fake dating! he shouldn’t have done it. every bone in his body told him not to do it but the panicked look on her face was enough to make christian agree to pretend to be her boyfriend to scare off her cheating ex boyfriend, who was making her seriously uncomfortable. it was just supposed to be for the weekend, until the guy started leaving her alone. but a lot can happen on one race weekend and suddenly it doesn’t seem so fake anymore.
callum ilott
childhood friends to lovers! they were always just supposed to be friends, but if that’s the case, why does callum hate her new boyfriend now that the relationship is getting serious? why does y/n still feel like something is missing? cue a drunken night out leading to the hottest sex callum has ever had and lingering questions on both sides about what they really truly want out of life and love.

one thing that i really like even though it’s kind of silly is how just-some-guy most of the indycar drivers are. like kyle looks like the kid next door growing up. colton looks like every artsy music kid you’ll ever meet. will power could drop his kid off to school and no one would blink. like i feel like the fact that most of the drivers seem like people you could meet and know makes the whole series seem more grounded (as someone who gets put off by the separation/aloofness some celebrities seem to have)

"Red-Hot Romance? Lando Norris Seen Leaving Vegas Party With Same Mystery Woman as Before — Are They Hooking Up or Dating?"
In a city where parties never cease, it seems that Formula 1 driver Lando Norris just can't get enough of nightlife. Just a week after being spotted leaving a Vegas party with a mysterious red head, the 24-year-old was seen doing the exact same thing once again! It's unclear whether Norris and the red head are just having a little fun or if a deeper relationship is brewing, but we're sure his fans are keeping a close eye to see what happens next.
Who is this mystery woman and does she have the beloved driver wrapped around her finger?
"Waking up in the bed of a Formula 1 driver..again..I guess I can scratch that off the bucketlist." liz thinks to herself as she slips out of the bed she spent the night in, quietly making her way to the kitchen.
She stops infront of a mirror to fix her hair and tug the giant white shirt she's wearing further down even though that wasn't going to fix anything. She looks for her own clothes around the house before she ends up pulling it out from under his sofa. How did that even get there? I don't think I want to find out.
She makes her way to the kitchen, the cool marble flooring against her feet waking her up almost instantaneously.
The morning starts with her on call with her manager, arranging her private jet to leave as soon as possible while she raids lando's fridge in hopes of food. I guess a kinder egg still counts?
Chomping into the chocolate she quietly (but quickly) gathers her things and leaves his appartment, praying she doesn't get spotted by any paparazzi. If there's one thing she learnt the hard way it's that boys are no good.

Sammy Reborn, Chapter 2
Chapter 1
Relationship(s): August Walker & Dean Winchester, August Walker & Cordell Walker, Cassie Perez & Cordell Walker
Tags/Warnings: Kidnapping, Drugging, Investigations, Delusions, Obsession
Written for @medwhumpmay Day 4- Sedated
Summary: In which August tries to make a move and Walker tries to keep his wits about him.
Taglist: @theladywyn, @ihavepointysticks, @klaatu51, @itsjessiegirl1, @neptunium134
------
Cordell stumbled into the ranch house at around 4am, got a couple hours of sleep, then made his way to the family breakfast table to break the news to his family.
He and Cassie had spent hours looking through traffic cam footage the night before and hadn’t had much luck. They did manage to identify the car most likely used by the kidnapper but the license plate they pulled from the footage was fake and tracking the car had proved to be almost impossible since the driver mostly used side streets away from the cameras. All they knew was that they were looking for a black 1967 Chevy Impala (which they put the APB out for before leaving) and that whoever did was long gone.
Not exactly great news.
He hesitated before the doorway and took a deep breath. He couldn’t put this off any longer.
“Mornin’ everyone….” He tried to smile but he wasn’t sure it was convincing. “I…I have something to tell you. Something important.” He didn’t wait for his mama’s concerned questions before barreling through it. “Last night, August was kidnapped while taking out the trash at the Side Step. We don’t know who took him or why. All we have right now is the vehicle the kidnapper was driving and we’ve got a state-wide ABP out on it right now-”
“Wait, what? Last night?” Stella turned in her stool, breakfast forgotten. “Why didn’t you tell us as soon as you found out?”
“Why don’t you ask your boyfriend?” Cordell muttered. “Colton’s the one that called it in. And after that….. I needed to know what we could find out. I wish I had better news but at this point there’s not much we can do. We’ll have to wait for someone to report the car and that’s honestly the best we can hope for. Until then, all we can do is investigate things here, try and find out if anything suspicious has been happening around August lately. I’m not dragging all of you in for interrogation but we’ll need to have a talk about what he’s told you -if he has- and we’ll need to track down some of his school friends too.”
He watched as his family slowly absorbed the news. There was a long silence before anyone said anything.
“He didn’t mention anything strange to me,” Liam said slowly. “Stel?”
She shook her head. “No, but I know some of his school friends; I can talk to them and see if they know anything.”
“Do you know if he kept a journal?” Bonham asked. “He may have put something in there.”
He shook his head. “Not one that I knew of but it couldn’t hurt to look. But I’ve got to get to work, see if there have been any updates.”
“Cordi, honey, it’s been one night. You can at least get some breakfast before you go,” Abby insisted.
“But-”
“If there’s a big update, they’ll call you. And you won’t do August any good collapsing on the job. Eat.”
Sighing, Cordell sat down and started eating. He knew better than to argue with that tone.
—-------
August woke up with a groan. His head hurt and the loud music wasn’t helping. Why was Stella blasting Led Zepplin anyway?
“Oh, sorry. Did I wake you Sammy? Here, let me turn that down.”
The lowered volume did help August’s head but that voice didn’t help his nerves. It was the same voice from the alleyway. The guy that jumped him and knocked him out.
“You wanna stop at the next exit and get something to eat? I’m a little hungry myself. I bet you are too. You gotta get something besides a salad this time though. I know you’re on a health kick and all that but you’re too skinny.”
August made himself sit up and open his eyes. He wasn’t sure what this guy wanted or why but he figured it’d probably be smart to play along for now. Just until he could find a way to contact his family. “Where are we?”
“We’re just coming up on Texarkana. I’m good on gas for a bit but I think we need fuel for us before we go much further. I know I’m starving.” The guy took the next exit but he was going too fast for August to see where it was.
August was feeling hungry too, but he didn’t think he could trust anything this guy would give him. But maybe he could use this to get some more information. “I’m not that hungry, actually. Thanks though, Mr….?”
His captor laughed. “Sammy, I know you’re hungry. And don’t call me that. I know I’m older than you, but come on, I’m just your brother.”
August had so many arguments he could make but none of them seemed like a good idea in a moving car. “Fine. Where are we going?”
“Just a little diner I know. You’ll love it.”
August very much doubted that but, again, he didn’t think it was a good idea to get into it.
It was another half an hour of his captor singing off-tune before they pulled into the diner parking lot. It was a grungy place that looked like it had been open a few decades too long- then again Gramps swore up and down those places made the best food (besides Mawline’s, of course). And August actually was a bit hungry, not that he felt like admitting it.
“Yeah, I know it doesn’t look like much,” the man said, unlocking the doors. “But I’m sure they have some kind of salad for you. But I am gonna order you a burger; you’re too damn skinny, Sammy.”
August wouldn’t mind a burger. It would give him the energy to run away if nothing else.
And being here gave him some options. He didn’t have his phone anymore, but there were people here. If he could get away from this guy for just a second, he could get someone to call his dad. That would have to be good enough until he could find another way to talk to his family.
“Well, howdy Dean!” The waitress standing behind the counter greeted them with a blinding smile. “Been a while since I’ve seen you. A few months at least. And who’s this fella?”
The man, Dean, returned her smile and pulled August into a one-armed hug. “This is my little brother, Sammy. We’ll have my usual, Debbie.”
They were given a table near the front window while they waited for whatever Dean’s usual was. August spent his time looking around the diner. There was a decent crowd, not so busy that he wouldn’t be able to get a waitress’ attention for a few seconds but busy enough that he could do it without drawing Dean’s attention. Hopefully.
“Alright, here ya are!” Debbie plunked two plates in front of them. Dean’s “usual” was a heart attack on a plate- a greasy bacon burger with an overwhelming side of fries.
Normally, August would dig in with glee. He was a growing boy and while the Walkers weren’t exactly health nuts, something as greasy as this was definitely a rarity.
But, normally August hadn’t been kidnapped by some weirdo. So that killed his appetite a bit.
“Come on, Sammy, eat up,” Dean said around a mouthful of food. “We gotta hit the road if we wanna be home by sundown.”
August ate some fries and looked around the diner, waiting for the right opportunity. If he could just get a waittress’ attention….
He saw one of the young ladies in a uniform going into the restroom area. Bingo.
“Hey, uh, I gotta hit the head. I’ll be back in a sec.”
“Sure thing, Sammy,” Dean muttered, entranced by his burger.
August quickly dashed to the back of the restaurant. There was a “No Entry- Cleaning” sign on the door but he opened it anyway. This was more important.
“Didn’t you see the sign?” said a very annoyed voice.
“I- Yes, but this is important.”
“I don’t care which burrito you ate, I’m cleaning.” A very annoyed woman poked her head out of one of the stalls. “You can wait five minutes.”
“I really can’t. It’s- I don’t actually have to use the bathroom but….” How was he supposed to explain this?
The woman’s face softened a bit. “Are you okay? If you ate the Dynomite blaster-”
“It’s not that. It’s- You know that guy I came in with.”
She nodded. “Yeah, Debbie said he’s your older brother.”
“He isn’t. He’s not my brother at all. I don’t even know him.”
Her eyes widened with understanding. “Do you need to sneak out the back?”
He shook his head. “No. I don’t think that would work. That guy is…. Scary. And I don’t even have my phone on me. But my dad’s a cop and I know the tip line for where I live. If you could just call and tell them I was here, that would help a lot.” He could just play nice with Dean until his dad rescued him.
Right?
“Uh, well… I don’t-”
“I’ll be okay, I promise. Just- Let me give you the number.”
She handed him her order pad and he quickly scrawled the number for the Ranger tip line and his name. Hopefully he wouldn’t be stuck with Dean much longer.
He thanked her and quickly went back to his table. Feeling slightly better now that he had a plan in place, he went straight for the burger. He didn’t know if it was actually a good burger or if he was just hungry, but it tasted like the best thing he’d eaten in months.
“Woah, slow your roll, Sammy. I don’t need you getting sick in the car.”
August rolled his eyes. “I haven’t eaten in hours, I’m starving.”
“Suit yourself.”
As soon as they finished eating, Dean threw some cash down on the table and motioned for August to get up. He did and immediately felt queasy. Maybe he shouldn’t have eaten that burger in less than a minute after all….
—-----
It took longer than Dean thought for the drugs to knock Sammy out. He’d made the dose smaller so it wouldn’t hurt Sam by accident. He’d have to adjust it for next time, but it did the job for now.
Sam fell asleep about 30 minutes into the car ride and Dean turned the music down for him. “Sweet dreams, kiddo,” he murmured, stroking his hair. “We’ll be home soon.” It was a 10 hour drive, but with Dean at the wheel they’d make it in 5.
He hated to drug Sam for the ride. He wanted to sing along to the radio with his brother rolling his eyes at him the whole way. But Sammy was still confused and Dean didn’t want to risk losing him again. He just needed some alone time with Sam and then things could start getting back to normal.
It wouldn’t be an easy transition for Sammy- kid always was stubborn. But, just like when Dean got him back from Stanford all those years ago, he would eventually come around. He’d stop having all those big dreams about leaving Dean behind and living a “normal” life, whatever that meant.
And it would be better this time. There would be no Dad to drive him away, no Jessica to keep him away, no Ruby to poison his mind, no Lucifer to claim him, not even Castiel to ruin him. Sammy would be all his this time. Just like he should be.
And if his other “family” tried to come after him, to take what isn’t theirs anymore, Dean would take care of it. Just like he always did.
—---------
Cassie rewound the traffic cam footage again, just in case she missed something. Even a taillight would be something more than what she had. And she had to give something to Walker. She had to.
She glanced over at the conference room where he was staring blankly at their- equally as blank- caseboard. She would bet anything he was currently running through the stats on survival of a missing person versus how long it took to find them. She certainly was.
Her desk phone ringing jarred her out of her thoughts. “Texas Rangers,” she answered.
“Uh, is this the anonymous tip line?”
She sat up straighter. “Yes. What do you have to report?”
“Uh…. God, this is gonna sound weird….”
“Nothing too weird for the tip line, believe me. What did you see?”
The woman sighed. “God, this is dumb. I shouldn’t’ve let him go. I shoulda told him to sneak out the back and just called the cops right then. What was I thinking?”
“Ma’am, I can’t help you or him unless you tell me what’s happened.”
“Right, right. Uh, well, these two guys came into the diner earlier. The older one called the younger one his brother and he ordered from Debbie. But then the younger one came and found me while I was cleaning the bathroom and told me they weren’t actually brothers and told me to call this number.”
“Right.” Cassie grabbed one of the report slips and started scribbling down information. “Can you tell me anything else.”
“Well, the older one is a regular. Debbie knows him well. His name is Dean I think. He called the younger one “Sammy” but then the kid told me his name is actually August Walker. Said his dad was a cop and that’s why I had to call this number.”
“Thank you. Is there anything else you can tell me about the man August was with?”
“Uh, well he’s older. I’d say in his forties maybe? He’s white, he’s got green eyes, and I’d say he’s about six feet tall. He always pays in cash, he drives one of those classic cars- a black one- and I think he’s from somewhere in Kansas? I think that’s what Debbie said.”
“That’s great. And can you tell me the address of this diner?”
“Oh, right! I forgot.” She gave up the address and Cassie did her best to keep all the details straight. “They were here about half an hour ago. I couldn’t call sooner because we were busy; this was my first chance to take a break.”
“That’s still helpful. Thank you.” She hung up and picked up her report slip. She smiled as she read over everything again. This was good. This was a lead. This was a chance. They could bring August home.
“Hey, Walker,” she said, rushing toward the conference room. “We just got a tip on August. A waitress in Texarkana called in about him. Whoever took him stopped for lunch and August was able to get away long enough to get help.”
His head snapped toward her and he zeroed in on the slip in her hand. “Really?” he said. “Texarkana? They must’ve been driving all night…” He snatched it from her and read over it. “This is good. We can work with this. We should probably get in touch with the PD there and see if we can get camera footage from the diner and the surrounding streets. Also put an APB on this description.” He was moving around the conference room frantically now, adding to the still sparse case board.
“I’ll let James know,” Cassie said, backing out of the room to let Walker do what he needed to do. His son was missing; he could sweat out as much nervous energy as he needed to.

Who are some of your other guys in Indy? :0 Mine are the one that gets called Lil Dave and the Scotts :3 oh and Marcus Armstrong or Marmstrong as I see some people call him
sorry for the late reply anonie. i've been at my sisters for the weekend and i don't really like answering longer asks on mobile 😅💖
the list of faves is pretty long 😅 but i will happily rant about them for a while. (and some of your faves make appearances anonie!! 👀)
so the top fave other than rossi is josef. what can i say? i like my drivers to be weird little fuckers. and you don't get weirder in indy than rossi and josef. they're the og's. if there was a competition for weirdest drivers they would be battling for supremacy.
and scotty. i just love my little kiwi. i could go on a whole rant about how the bus bros episode endeared me to him in a way i didn't think he would?? i mean. i liked scotty before watching bus bros but some of the things we find out about him over the course of the show?? broke my fucking heart. AND. i love my bus bros. i said i wasn't gonna get into bus bros 'cause they're fucking divorced and yet- they pulled me in with their wacky little videos and now i'm here?? loving scotty and josef and just wanting them to get along 😭
and then there's pato!! my blorbo-in-law from so many of my mutuals!! and he just seems like the sweetest guy!! just always up to chat with/sign things/interact with fans at the drop of a hat!! and i love his relationship with alex so much and i'm absolutely gutted we won't be getting them as teammates next year 😭
SCOTTY DIXON!! i don't know too much about him but i do vibe with him so hard. truly THAT BITCH when it comes to indy. i remember watching the detroit gp and hearing the commentators be like '....he's gonna have to pit?? like- he can't finish this race on that amount of fuel??' and i was just sitting there, thinking. yes he is. he absolutely is. that is scott fucking dixon. he is gonna make that fuel his bitch and he is gonna win this race (and felt very seen when alex said pretty much the same thing in the off track episode recapping detroit. he said he immediately knew it was dixon's win).
AND LIL DAVE 😭😭😭😭😭😭 i have the biggest fucking soft spot for david. i truly fell for him through mclaren's pr videos of him but by the time i knew who he was he had already gotten kicked by mclaren so i was so happy when he got a new seat!!!
then there's the boyfriend teammates!! i gotta give a shoutout to colton and kyle. also blorbo-in-laws through mutuals (shoutout to @raapija + @omigodyall) but i also just genuinely love them so much. i especially have so much love for kyle 'cause he just seems like he has a good head on his shoulders?? willing to admit when he was mistaken?? and not fighting colton for the win yesterday?? all around a good 🥚 (also. got so much love for colton 'cause he said 'with the news of oscar it's gonna be tough 🤔' when talking about where he ranks on the pole of sack brown's faves back in 2022)
and then there are the swedes!! gotta give some love to my swedes!! felix, marcus and linus are always gonna have a special place in my heart 💖 (and tom blomqvist. the half swede)
and finally. i cannot end this post without including my queen 👑 katherine legge. i love her. i love how much alex clearly looks up to her and how close they seem to be. i just want her to have a full time ride in indy so it's easier for me to see her race 💗 i would LOOOOVE if people had some katherine lore to drop on me 👀 'cause i do think it's pretty hard to find the interesting little tid bits about her 😭
(also this list could be even longer but i feel like this was enough of a rant 😭😭😭 but yeah. feel free to ask my opinion on literally any driver. i can't guarantee i'll have one but i might?? and it might be spicy??)

Oooo what sort of fantasy hybrid? Will there be more magic, like in Shared Hearts?
Also I am dying to know who is swapping bodies and when.
Fantasy hybrids.
James (Hinch) rescues abused/cast off hybrids in this fantasy world. His first rescue was FoxMarco, found beaten half to death in the forest. Next is Conor, who is fully human but is supposed to be a hybrid. Grumpy asshole CatRossi was found filthy and holed up in an alley, hissing and swatting at anyone who came near. Marco is the only one he likes. Bunny?Colton (undecided on animal) was kept in a cage outdoors and James actually bought him from his owner. Latest rescue, KittenPalou, shy and skittish, prone to hiding under/behind anything he can.
Colton is the one to coax Palou out of hiding. And later, Marco brings home BunnyDavid with no explanation. Alex grumbling under his breath after Marco leaves David in his care yet doesn't let the boy out of his sight, growls at anyone who comes near and yanks David into a cuddle as soon as he sees Marco coming.
I don't know about magic and I dunno about plot other than just getting to know everyone but this idea has been in my brain for nearly 6 months and I will write it someday.
Body swap
So far I have 5 unconnected but in the same universe ideas.
David wakes up in Josef's body "Omg, I'm Josef!" Spends time admiring himself in the mirror. Leaves the bus and soon sees his own body swaggering toward him. "I could look like that?" "Of course, kid. It's all in the confidence." Josef coaches David about acting confident. "Pull my shoulders back, puff up my chest. We both know that's a gorgeous body, show it off!" Back at Josef’s bus, Josef wants them to get naked and David turns shy. Josef - “Darling, don’t even try to tell me that you didn’t have a good look at that body – my body – before you got dressed. Not that I blame you. I am beautiful.” David can’t deny it. Josef ran his hands over his thighs – David’s thighs. “Let me tell you, these things are impressive. You’re a gorgeous boy now and you’ll knock them dead when you get to be my age.” Later, because they have to have sex to swap back. Josef: Damn, I do have a fine ass. I've always wanted to know what it's like to fuck me." They swap back halfway through the sex and David finds out what it's like to fuck Josef.
Pato and Rossi swap and Felix thinks it's hilarious. Pato: You're so tall. I feel like I'm going to hit my head on the clouds. Rossi: How do you function being so short? I can't reach anything. Pato: looking down at Felix: I could be shorter. Felix: Hey! Pato, in Rossi's body, picking Felix up: "Oh, okay, this is good." Felix is unamused. Rossi conflicted when it gets to the sex because he's a top, damn it but also he's not going fuck himself.
Conor and Marcus both run to Callum frantic knocking on Callum’s door. “Conor?” “No, it’s me, Marcus.” “What the fuck?” “I don’t know how it happened. You have to help me.” Invite him in, sitting down. “Why does this thing keep beeping at me?” Callum’s eyes widen. “Conor’s diabetic.” More knocking on the door. It’s Conor in Marcus’s body. Marcus is expected at Ganassi. Conor usually works out in the morning. Decide to go be each other the best they can. Conor’s a chevy driver, not like he’ll learn anything at a honda shop. Conor follows Marcus back to Conor’s place and gives him a crash course on managing the diabetes, just to get him through til lunch. At lunch, Marcus is all “Don’t you dare put meat in my body.” After lunch, Callum. “Okay, you guys need to fuck to swap back.” Marcus. “But I don’t even know him.” Conor’s okay to do it. Callum. “Do you want your body back? This is the only way.” Marcus insisted Callum stay while they do it.
Dario and Callum body swap It's minutes before the race is going to start. Callum as Dario manages to get to Dario. "There's no time, Dario. You have to drive for me." "I haven't driven since 2013!" "It's like riding a bike. You can do it. You have to." Dario as Callum finishes 4th. Dario as Callum is mad because he would've been on the podium had they body-swapped with time to practice. Callum as Dario is relieved because he'd be pissed if Dario podiumed for him and 4th is amazing anyway.
Palou wakes up as Rossi in bed with James. “I did not know they were together.” Rossi wakes up as Palou in bed with Pato. Pato’s awake and rubbing against Rossi, kissing his chest. Oh fuck. “Pato, no. Pato, stop. I’m Alex.” Pato lifts his head. “I know you’re Alex. You were Alex last night when you…” Rossi slapped a hand over Pato’s mouth. He did not need to hear that. “No, I’m Rossi. Alex Rossi. We body swapped.” Pato blinks at him in sleepy confusion until it sinks in. “Oh. OH!” He scrambled off the bed. Rossi slammed his eyes shut. He knew the two were playing around but he did NOT need to see that much of his teammate.

I hope, at some point, at least one of the IndyCar guys do get a F1 seat, just to prove the people assuming they're not "real race car drivers" wrong. Herta, O'Ward, and Palou are all ridiculously talented in their own ways. Plus the whole "but they race in the USA and not Europe" point is moot when you consider cases like Herta, who was fairly competitive racing in Europe but couldn't continue due to finances. (Sargeant nearly found himself out of F2 due to finances, and look at him now).
i agree 100%!! i know colton isn’t everyone’s favorite and i’m definitely biased but i fully believe that he deserves an f1 drive within the next couple years. i don’t think a lot of people know that he and lando were teammates, too. he’s got a lot of talent (as do alex and pato, obviously—winning the indycar championship is no small feat whatsoever, especially considering how much closer the standings tend to be) so i think it’s really good that mclaren is trying to capitalize on that!
#also colton is so iconic i deserve to have a california indie boy on the grid#just to shake things up#enough of these european rich boys 👎#ask

#14
14. Predict the grid for 2023.
OOH okay let's do this.
Mercedes Lewis and George, pretty much a no brainer. In the very very off-chance that Lewis decides to take a break, I'm rooting for Pierre to get the seat.
Red Bull Max and Checo :(, Like it or not, they are a pair that works and I don't think either one is looking to quit anytime soon. Checo's done a good job adapting to the rbr car overall.
Ferrari Charles and Carlos, probably my favourite driver pairing in a LONG time. They suit each other very well, and they're both SOOO pretty. I'm in love. i think they balance each other out, and both have a lot of skill, so i think they'll keep Carlos and Charles at least until one of them gets a championship (hopefully soon)
Mclaren Lando and Daniel/Pierre, based on their contracts currently. Daniel isn't thriving?? at Mclaren and they aren't getting the results they expected but Daniel is great and with a few positive results I'm sure he'll get his mojo back. In the off case that they decide to drop Daniel, I'm rooting for Pierre or Pato to get the seat. Maybe even Colton Herta, but I don't think he's looking to make the switch,
Alphatauri Yuki and Lawson/Daruvala, Relatively new people. Yuki, cause he's doing consistently, and depending on how this year goes for them I'm thinking Liam or Jehan (because i like them ok.) Realistically, I think They're still going to keep Pierre but I need him to escape from that place as soon as he can. My poor baby deserves better. Fuck Marko.
Aston Martin Lance and Seb. Lance is a no brainer, and I don't think Seb wants to stop racing just yet. If he leaves I'd love to see Nico H get the seat at least until he breaks the curse but maybe they might offer the seat to other free agents.
Haas Mick and KMag. Mick is here to stay, if not for his skill then for the Schumacher name (it's legendary. you'd not want to pass up the opportunity) and the sponsors. KMag cause he's doing so well there, and he has a rapport with the engineers that's hard to replicate.
Alfa Romeo Valtteri and Theo. Valtteri cause he is, well, Valtteri Bottas. Experienced, skilled, and most importantly, so so chill. He's thriving there and putting in consistent performances. I'd like for Theo to step in next year and I think he'll be ready by that time but I guess we wait and watch. Zhou is not doing bad either. BUt tbh I don't see him staying in F1 for a long time. He does come with very good sponsorships and he does have talent, so who knows?
Williams Alex/Nicky and Nyck/Stoffel. Nicky is probably in his last season. Look I like the guy, and he did have a decent junior career, but I don't think he's doing super well rn. Jost has said that williams can survive without the Latifi funding now, so there's a great chance they'll cut him next year. Alex might stay, I think he's doing rather well. To join Alex they'll get either Nyck or Stoffel, both great choices, although I'm leaning towards SToffel cause i miss him and well he does have f1 xp.
Alpine Esteban and Oscar. Nando's going to retire within the next few years ideally, but you can never tell cause he's a fucking vampire with that hair and the eyes and the thirst for power. Esteban is here to stay, and if an F1 seat opens up, it'll go to Oscar. He'll be an amazing talent.
Send me F1 asks!

I + Can’t + Lose + You (4)
masterlist. AO3.
Thank you so much for your patience with this one! There will be one more chapter after this before we reach the end of the road (ha!). I tried something new this chapter with the rapid POV shifts, so let me know what you think!
*****
Tracking down the skip was almost too easy. Riley ran her facial recognition program through the city's traffic cameras, and two minutes later, Hector Pitt appeared strolling out of a McDonald's, large box of fries in hand.
She and Mama had arrived in Phoenix a few hours before sunset. The dying sunlight cast a deep orange glow on the mountains rising in the distance. It was still hotter than hell outside, with no sign of impending relief, and sweat rolled down Riley's temples and between her breasts. She didn't understand why anyone would choose to live here.
Mama called her daughter, Jesse, who was patrolling the east end of town and the suburbs beyond it, to let her know they located Pitt.
He must’ve known Mama’s truck, because as soon as Riley pulled up to the McDonald’s, Pitt dove into his car and gunned the engine. “Why can’t this ever be easy?” Riley muttered. She sped off after Pitt, the tires squealing as the truck skidded around the corner.
*****
Mac arrived in Phoenix starving and bored out of his mind. He'd forgotten his snacks on the counter in the gas station in Indio, and his grumbling stomach reminded him of his mistake constantly.
Knowing that Riley was probably safe eased the dread weighing heavy in his gut. There was no reason to fear what he might find at the end of the long desert highway, but he still couldn’t shake the desperation to see her, to touch her, to have her safe beside him.
To tell her that he was in love with her, because while waiting seemed logical before, six hours of driving like a madman made the whole thing look ridiculous. What were they waiting for anyway?
For them to get their shit together. For him to get his shit together. Riley was fine, always has been. Well, maybe not always, but close enough.
What if they waited too long? What if it’s all just water under the bridge at this point?
Mac was saved from answering that question by some asshole driving a red truck speeding past him on the wrong side of the road. A quick glance at the speedometer told Mac that he was already going ten miles per hour over the speed limit, and the other driver was going even faster. What the hell was their problem?
Reaching out the window to flip them off, Mac glared at the driver. The woman had dark, curly hair and both hands clenched around the steering wheel. Another woman sat in the passenger seat. Mac couldn’t quite bring himself to laugh at how similar the woman’s driving was to Riley’s.
Unless…
Shit. Was that Riley? The red truck swerved around a corner without slowing down—the way only someone with lots of experience in high-speed car chases would turn. Yep, Mac thought. Definitely Riley.
He stepped on the gas, not daring to completely floor it until after he made the turn, and hauled ass in pursuit of the red truck.
*****
Riley was fuming.
First, this asshole she passed flipped her off, and now he was following her? He wasn't doing a very good job of keeping up, but still. What the fuck?
“This nerd sees one action movie and thinks he can be a getaway driver,” she snarled. “This isn’t NASCAR, buddy.”
Mama gave her a look. “Isn’t that how you learned?”
“Not the point.” Riley made another sudden turn. “Call Jesse and have her cut off Pitt. I’m gonna shake this guy.”
*****
Reason number one why Mac was never the driver: he sucked at it. Riley was trying to lose him, and she was doing a damn good job. If he didn't know her well enough to somewhat predict her moves, Mac would've lost her already. This is what I get for flipping her off, he thought.
Clearly she hadn't seen his face, or else this wouldn't be happening right now. With each turn, Mac lost a little ground. No cops yet, luckily, but it wouldn’t matter if he got stopped by cops because he was about to lose Riley again anyway.
Mac wished he had Riley in the passenger seat, scouring a satellite view and directing him through the best route to catch, well, her. He couldn't remember ever not blindly trusting her to get him where he needed to be. Catching her was so much harder without her. Mac wondered if that was what she felt like when she chased him to fake-join Codex.
A semi truck pulled into the road, blocking his view of Riley. By the time Mac skirted the truck, she was long gone, like she'd never been there at all.
*****
“Got ‘em,” Riley said with a smirk when she finally lost their tail. Now they could get back to the important matter at hand: catching Pitt.
Jesse’s voice crackled through Mama’s phone. “There’s an empty parking lot up ahead. We can corner him there.”
“On it.” Riley floored the gas to get ahead and intercept him.
Pitt took the bait, falling right into their trap. He cut through the parking lot to try and ditch Jesse and found himself blocked in by a certain oversized red truck with a woman aiming a rifle out the shotgun window. Mama shot his tires before he could try to leave.
The man obviously knew when he lost, because with Mama aiming at him from the front and Jesse from behind, Pitt slowly got out of his car and kneeled on the ground, hands raised above his head. Grabbing the handcuffs from the truck’s glove compartment, Riley stalked toward the man and cuffed him. He was bigger than Riley expected, more muscular, and had oddly familiar calluses on his hands. Riley tucked the thought away for later and marched him to Mama’s truck.
Mama didn’t lower her gun, but Riley wasn’t worried. Even if Pitt tried something and Mama had to shoot, Riley would be fine. Mama never missed.
Once Pitt was secured in the backseat, Riley turned to the Colton women and grinned. That was easy.
*****
When Mac saw the red truck sitting in a nearly empty parking lot, he ran three red lights and skidded into the lot with abandon. Riley stood beside the truck with her back to him, but Mac didn’t need to see her face to know that was her; he’d recognize her posture and the shape of her body anywhere. She was chatting with two other women he couldn’t recognize from far away.
As soon as his car came to a stop, Mac flung the door open and yelled Riley’s name.
*****
Riley whipped her head around at the sound of her name. She did a double take when her eyes locked on Mac getting out of his truck—the same truck that had been tailing her, she realized—and running toward her. “What are you doing here?” she yelled back.
His chest heaved, and a wild, frantic look filled his eyes. “Looking for you!” He stopped in front of her, well within her personal space. Mac reached for her arms and hesitated, waiting for her to flinch away like she’d been doing for weeks now. Instead, she softened her eyes and gave him an almost imperceptible nod. You can touch me, the look said.
Mac’s grip on her biceps was heartbreakingly gentle. His voice cracked slightly as he spoke. “You said you were kidnapped.”
Oh. “Mac,” she said softly, “it was a joke. I’m fine.”
She’d never seen him look as furious as he did now, yanking his hands back like she’d burned him and taking a full step backward. “A joke? Are you fucking kidding me, Riley? What was I supposed to think when I got that text? All it said was ‘I’ve been kidnapped’ with ‘kidnapped’ spelled wrong for god’s sake, and then you didn’t answer when I texted and called you back!”
Uh oh. “How many texts did you get?”
“What?”
“How many texts did you get?” she repeated. “I sent you two. One right after the other.”
A beat. “One.”
Oh god. He never got the second, more important text. She should’ve checked her phone. Damnit. Riley wanted to hug him, but fury still radiated off Mac, so she stayed back. “I’m so sorry. I accidentally hit send instead of delete while fixing my typo. I should’ve made sure the second text went through. I didn’t mean to scare you like that.”
“When we couldn’t track your phone anymore, I—” He dragged his hands through his hair. “I thought I lost you. I was terrified I’d find you dead in someone’s trunk or thrown in a ditch somewhere. I thought I’d never get the chance to say—” No, no, no, no, not yet. Riley silently begged him not to confess yet. “—what I need to say.” She exhaled.
Mac still hadn’t taken his eyes off her, hadn’t bothered to see who was standing behind her. “Look who’s behind me,” she gently guided. He did, and too many emotions to name crossed his face as he took in Mama and Jesse Colton. Then, before Riley knew what was happening, Mac practically tackled her, crushing her into his chest so tightly she could barely breathe. How they didn’t end up on the ground was beyond her. Riley hugged him back, murmuring apologies and reassurances into the crook of his neck.
The only warning something was wrong was the loud squeak of one of Mama’s truck doors opening.
“Get down!”
Gunshots filled Riley’s ears as her back slammed into the side of the truck, and she slid to the ground. Mac crouched over her, providing cover from the bullets pinging off the asphalt. Mama and Jesse crouched behind Pitt’s car, returning fire. Fucking hell.
“Forget to check him for weapons, did you?” Mac teased. “Who is this guy?”
“Hector Pitt. IT guy. And I did check.”
Mac gave her a look. “Did you check everywhere?”
Furrowing her brow, Riley craned her neck to see Pitt shooting over the far side of the truck bed. He concentrated his fire toward the Coltons. “What do you mean ‘everywhere’? Of course I—” She glared at Mac. “I am not groping some random ass criminal on the off chance that he’s stupid enough to hide a loaded gun next to his dick.”
“Just saying, this could have been avoided.”
“Shut up and help me take him out already.”
Slowly, Riley crawled into the truck’s backseat, frowning at the unlocked handcuffs on the floor. She opened the far door—the one closest to Pitt—just far enough to release the latch before laying back on the seats, pressing her feet against the door. Through the windshield, she watched Mac stroll around the front of the truck, right hand raised. Riley waited. Deep breath in, deep breath out. Trying to calm her thundering pulse.
She didn’t dare blink. Inhale, exhale. What was taking so long? Inhale, exhale.
Mac’s hand dropped, and Riley kicked the door open as hard as she could, and the sickening smack of metal against flesh told her it worked. Pitt’s unconscious body crumpled on the ground like a rag doll. While Mac disarmed him, Riley tied the man up with jumper cables and zip-ties before re-handcuffing him.
Handing Pitt’s gun to Mama, Mac said, “There’s no way he’s actually an IT guy.” The women laughed.
*****
Despite their exhaustion, Mac and Riley decided to drive home instead of booking a hotel room for the night. They played Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine driving shifts; Mac got the first one. He promptly blasted his mission pump-up playlist and pointed the A/C vents directly at his face to keep himself awake.
The slivered moon did little to illuminate the dark desert highway, and headlights from oncoming cars stung his eyes. Mac’s stomach was heavy with the weight of the carne asada burrito he had for dinner and the words he still needed to say to the woman sitting in his passenger seat. He thought about saying those three little words. I love you. But now wasn’t the right time.
When was the right time for anything? Mac honestly had no idea.
He glanced at Riley, leaning against the window with her eyes closed. She wasn’t asleep, not with the music so loud, but Mac still envied her ability to relax so easily. He turned the music down a few notches.
Safe. Riley was safe. In his truck, under his protection. Not that she needed his protection, per se, but Mac could breathe a little easier with the most important person in his life by his side.
The double yellow line gave way to a passing zone, and the asshole who’d been tailing them for the last few miles sped by. Apparently fifteen miles per hour over the speed limit was too slow for them. “Fuck off,” Mac snarled.
“Who are we telling to fuck off?” Riley cracked her eyes open.
“The guy who just sped around me.”
“Seems like that’s been happening to you a lot lately,” she teased. Right. In all the chaos of chasing Riley and taking out Pitt, Mac had completely forgotten about flipping her off.
“I’m sorry.”
Riley laughed, sitting up. “Are you kidding me? That was hilarious once I realized it was you!”
“Glad you think so.” He tapped his thumbs on the steering wheel, suddenly nervous. “Riles?”
“Hmmm?”
I love you. I'd be lost without you. Please don’t ever scare me like that again.
“I’m glad you’re okay.”

Saving Grace
Pairing: Elijah Mikaelson x Reader
Word Count: 1,466
Warning: Fighting, Magic, Blood, Torture
Summary: The reader lives with her coven but when the coven captures the Mikaelson’s, she must decide to abide by the coven rules or put everything on the line to save her friends.
Elijah Mikaelson Masterlist
Gathering around in the conference area, your higher ups began the meeting.
“Thank you all for coming.” The supreme witch said, “We have good news for you all!” She excitedly clapped, “We have finally captured the two leaders of the Mikaelson clan. As well as a friend of the family, Marcel Gerard.”
Cheers erupted from the group of your fellow witches, all except you. The color seemed to drain from your face, while a nauseous feeling overwhelmed you.
“Each of you, will need to come up with your own form of torture you, would like them to endure.”
You hadn’t met the Mikaelson’s before, but you knew that being ‘white magic’ witches, you shouldn’t be torturing anyone, under any circumstance. Marcel was one of your best friends, he was also stepping in as a best friend as well as a father figure.
Your witch coven, didn’t approve of your friendship with a vampire. They didn’t like Marcel, nor did they like that he was friends with the Mikaelson’s, who they considered to be enemy number one. It wasn’t until later that night, you came up with a plan.
The next couple days, it weight heavily on your mind. Your best friend was down in the dungeon, getting tortured for no reason.
Approaching the dungeon, your coven was keeping the vampires in, you knew the warlocks that were standing guard. They had become close friends of yours.
“Hey, Jake, Colton.”
“Hey, Y/N.” They replied in unison.
“The elders, want you guys to turn in. I’ll be taking over.”
They were both exhausted, not being used to stay up this late as it was now 1:30am. Exchanging glances between each other, they didn’t say anything before nodding and heading up stairs.
The dungeon had been spelled, only the elders or the supreme, would be able to open the metal vervain doors. Shockingly, you were able to open the doors, not thinking the type of people who had access to opening them.
Upon entering, you could see the three men. They had been tortured heavily from the hours and days before. Their blood was splayed on the floor beneath them. Their hands were bound in chains, hanging from the ceiling. Each of them had a vervain ropes around their necks, in a necklace fashion.
“Y/N?” Marcel questioned, his voice barley above a whisper.
His sudden voice pulled your gaze towards him.
“Marcel?”
“Hey, Kid.”
“How?” You whispered looking at him guiltily.
Moving in front of him, you used your magic releasing him. This caused him to fall straight onto you, and into your arms.
A groan came from the man in your arms.
“I... I don’t... I don’t remember....”
Sighing sadly, “ ‘SOkay. Let’s get you out of here.”
“Don’t touch him!” A masculine voice growled at you.
Looking towards the voice, his eyes had golden halo's in them.
“Klaus.... It’s okay...She’s a friend...” Marcel had barely gotten the words out.
“It’s okay. Here.” There was a chair in the corner of the dungeon, half guiding and half pulling him, to the chair. Putting him in the chair, using your magic you ripped the vervain like necklace from him. Lifting the sleeve of your long sleeve, you offered him your wrist.
“Kid....” He groaned in pain, “I...I couldn’t....Not... Not to you....”
Scoffing you replied, “I don’t think you have very much of a choice here...Let me take of care you... You’re going to need your strength. Please.”
He looked up at you, with widened eyes, reminding you of you child who had been caught doing something they shouldn’t have been doing. Sighing, he accepted your wrist, transforming back into the intimidating vampire you had come to know and admire.
“Go.” Following his gaze to the two original vampires you started, “I’ll take care of them. Go.”
“I’ll be back.”
Nodding your head you offered a sad smile, feeling a sudden wind you knew he left. Turning to the man with golden halo’s, you made your way over to him.
“Get away from me.” The man snarled.
Shooting him a bitch face you said, “You seriously just watched me, help Marcel escape and you’re going to give me attitude?”
Standing in front of him, your hands made their way to your hips, “Do you not want me to help you?”
The man looked at you then dropped his gaze to the floor guility.
Sighing you asked, “Are you going to let me help you now?”
“Yes.” The man’s low voice shot shivers through your body.
Getting him down, to the chair in the corner, you offered him your wrist the same way you had offered it to Marcel.
The man sitting was now looking up at you with a questionable expression.
“What?” You frowned at him.
“You’re going to let an original vampire feed off of you?”
Frowning again, you weren’t sure how to respond.
“I....”
“That’s brave of you love. Niklaus. Everyone calls me Klaus.”
“Y/N.”
After he fed on you, he offered you his wrist in return. You looked at him with a confused expression.
Chuckling softly, “It’ll heal your wound for letting us feed off of you.”
Upon accepting his wrist, you both exchanged a confused glance.
Stepping back from him, “I...I should get him down.”
“I’ll be the look out.”
Nodding your head, you made your way to the third and final vampire.
“I don’t know whether, to consider you stupid or smart.” The man in a ruined suit groan out.
Scoffing while you continued your movements you said, “Why’s that?”
“Because,” His head lulled to the side, “You’re helping the most feared vampires. How do you know we won’t kill you when we leave?”
He groaned as he his body collided with yours. Frowning you replied, “I...I don’t...”
Offering him your wrist, he gladly excepted and drank from you. This time, it felt different, a warm feeling overwhelmed you, while butterfly’s erupted in your stomach.
“Here.” He offered you his wrist in return.
Suddenly, Niklaus and Marcel vamp sped back into the dungeon that you were in.
The man in the suit and you gave each other a confused look, before turning to the two men in front of you.
“We’re in big trouble.” Marcel said pulling the stake laced with vervain out of his side.
Smacking his hand out of the way, “Stop. Let me get it. What happened?”
Sighing in frustration he allowed you to help him before saying, “The witches. They’re not going to let us leave.”
“We need a plan.”
“No shit, Sherlock.”
“Guys!” You yelled trying to get their attention. “I have a plan.”
_____________________________________________________
It had been a month since you left the coven. Sometimes, you felt sad that you had to leave, but looking at the bright side you gained a family. The Mikaelson’s had accepted you as one of their own, since you had given up everything to save them.
Pulling you from your thoughts, a voice sounded beside you, nudging your shoulder, “Y/N.”
Turning your attention towards the voice offering him a sweet smile, “Hey, Kol.”
“Daydreaming about my brother again, are we?”
Scoffing you replied, “No. I...I was just...”
Frowning your comeback had slipped your mind, as your gaze fell upon the scene before you.
Elijah was standing next to Hayley. She had become a little too friendly towards Elijah recently, not that he cared. You had developed feelings for the noble vampire. He was your best friend, that was a relationship that you didn’t want to lose.
“I...I should go. It’s getting late.”
Kol chuckled softly, “You’re leaving already love? It’s only 9:30!”
Klaus suddenly appeared by your side, “Little witch, don’t tell me you plan on leaving so early!”
Rolling your eyes, you hugged both Mikaelson’s making your way to your car. Searching for your keys in your purse, you were too busy to notice Elijah leaning against the driver side of the car.
It wasn’t until your body collided with his, almost falling over that you looked up in confusion.
“Elijah? What’re you doing?”
“You didn’t think you could leave without saying good bye did you?”
Scoffing you rolled your eyes, pulling away from the man in front of you. He looked at you with widened eyes.
“Wh-”
Cutting him off you said, “Good-night, Elijah.”
Suddenly, your body was pinned to your car. It was your turn to look at him with widened eyes.
“Elijah...What’re you doing?”
His nose nuzzled against yours, as one of his hands rested underneath your chin and the other gripping your hip.
“What does it look like I’m doing?” He questioned in a husky voice.
Closing your eyes in bliss, his hot breath could be felt dancing across your face. Your lips were enveloped by a softer pair, barely brushing against yours.
“I like you too, Y/N.”

Fanatics 70
With the Battalion home on Earth, all they wanna do is nothing. But will they ever have a chance to relax again? Previous! Next!
--
Whole Lotta Nothin
Squee: After the year we had I kinda wanna do absolutely nothing today
Dib: Sounds like a plan
Gaz: Im down
Pepito: way ahead of you
Zim: Then it’s settled. Today we will do absolutely nothing. Check in later.
Squee closes the group chat and stretches, smiling contently. He quickly finishes his cereal and, after washing his dishes, starts to head outside. Johnny and Granny Cammie, who were both sitting on the couch with him, watch him pass by.
“Big plans today?” Cammie asks.
“Yup,” Squee replies as he opens the front door. “A whole lotta nothing. I’m gonna see if Colton wants to join.”
“That sounds like a good plan,” Nny comments and sinks deeper into the couch.
Squee heads down the yard and sits on the curb. A moment or two later, Colton joins him.
“Sup,” he greets.
“Wanna do nothing today?” Squee asks.
“Every day,” he smiles and they both lie down on the cement, sighing happily.
The sky is a bright blue, dotted with puffy, white clouds. Birds are singing as they fly overhead. Around the city, kids are running around, enjoying their last week of summer before school starts again. But as per usual, Grave Road is quiet, which is perfect for the two lazy boys.
“I bet the Earth sky is pretty boring after what you’ve seen,” Colton remarks.
“Space is amazing,” Squee comments, “so much…space. But the sky is nice in its own way too. Space is endless; Earth has a horizon. Both boast freedom.” “I like clouds.”
“Clouds are nice too.”
Across the street, a neighbor girl Emily leaves her house with her friend and Colton’s sister, Kay. Giggling, they race over to the boys and stand over them, blocking their view.
“Squee!” they exclaim.
“Are you shouting my name or just squealing?” Squee asks.
“Both,” Emily replies.
“Is it true you were in space all year?” Kay asks.
“Yup,” he nods.
“What was it like?” Emily demands.
“What did you see?” Kay asks.
“What did you do?”
“Did you fight aliens?”
“Did you go to a lot of planets?”
The boys both grumble with annoyance from the constant questioning before Colton interrupts them. “Girls, please. Squee just got back yesterday. Give him space.” “Pun not intended, I hope,” Squee grunts.
“Uh, yeah, no, sorry.” “Awww, but we wanna go on an adventure,” Emily whines.
“Huh?” Squee questions.
“You guys are always going on such awesome adventures,” Kay points out, “we wanna too!”
“I never go on the adventures,” Colton argues, “I just hear about them.”
“Well, I’m tired of just hearing about them,” she whines, “I want adventures!”
“Me too!” Emily shrilly agrees.
“Well, why don’t you go find some?” Squee suggests, somewhat impatiently.
“Huh?” they question.
“You don’t need me to go on adventures,” he explains, “adventure is everywhere, around every corner. Who knows what you’ll find.” The girls share a surprised look before beaming with excitement.
“Let’s go find adventure!” Kay exclaims.
“Yah!” Emily cheers before they go racing away.
“Finally,” Squee sighs with relief.
“Now you know what it’s like to have a little sister,” Colton remarks. They both sigh happily from the peace and quiet and continue their packed schedule of nothing.
Meanwhile, Emily and Kay race down the street and through the neighboring blocks, giggling and excited.
“Where should we go? How do we find adventure?” Kay asks as she peeks around every corner they pass.
“Hmmm,” Emily muses before spotting the city bus. It just arrived at a nearby stop and a couple people are filing on. “Let’s take the bus!”
“Okay!” Kay exclaims and they both laugh excitedly and skip to the bus stop. They slip inside behind a random businessman and since they’re both young children, the bus driver doesn’t even notice them.
They settle down on an empty seat, giggling feverishly as the bus takes off.
“Where do you think it’ll take us?” Kay asks.
“I don’t know,” Emily snickers, “definitely somewhere we’ve never been.” “Somewhere adventurous?”
“Yeah!”
They both laugh into their hands, getting strange stares from the other passengers.
They watch the scenery pass by with wide eyes and big smiles as they get farther and farther away from their neighborhood than either of them have ever been. The filthy city streets covered in litter and panhandling addicts might as well be paved in gold with the way the girls are staring in awe. And when the bus gets stuck in traffic, they both beam excitedly at the new, colourful language they hear from the surrounding drivers.
Their sightseeing is interrupted when a middle-aged bald man in loose, filthy clothes covered in sweat stains approaches. “He-hello, little girls,” he says in a heavy, panting voice.
“Hi!” Kay chimes.
“Where are you off to this-this fine day?”
“Adventure!” Emily exclaims and they both giggle.
“Really?” he smiles crookedly, “y-you must be very brave girls to look for adventure.”
“You think so?” Kay asks excitedly.
“I-I do,” he nods, “and I know a great place for adventure if you’ll come with me at the next stop.”
For the first time since they’ve started their adventure, Kay and Emily feel hesitant.
“I don’t know,” Emily replies, “my mom says I shouldn’t go off with strangers.”
“That’s a very good idea,” the man nods, “but-but adventurers need to be brave and take risks, right?”
“I guess,” Kay replies, somewhat unsure.
“So be brave, take a risk, and come with me,” he smiles, a little bit of drool dripping out of the corner of his mouth as he reaches for them. “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of you.”
Before he can touch them, another hand lashes out from his side and grabs his arm, twisting it around.
“Ow! What the fuck!” he barks and glares at his perpetrator: a young, black haired woman with a nasty glare.
“I suggest you go sit on the other end of the bus,” she growls, “before I change my mind about being PG.”
The man starts to say something but stops when the woman snarls, revealing very sharp vampire fangs. She lets go of his arm as he winces back and he scurries away like a frightened dog.
The woman sighs and sits on the seat across from the girls. “I couldn’t help but overhear. You two are looking for adventure?”
“Yeah!” they cheer.
“Well then, let me give you some advice, as a seasoned adventurer. We need to be brave, sure, but we still have to make careful risks. Otherwise, you might end up not being able to go on adventures ever again.” Emily and Kay both cock their heads, quizzical looks on their faces.
The woman looks them over analytically. “You must be far from home. Where do you live?”
“Grave Road,” Emily replies.
The woman’s eyebrow rises with interest. “Really. You know someone named Squee?” “Yeah, he’s our neighbor,” Kay nods, “he’s the one who told us to look for adventure.” “Oh, he did, huh,” she grins with amusement. “I doubt this is what he meant. He’s gonna owe me big time.” “Huh?” the girls question, cocking their heads.
The woman leans forward, smiling. “I’m Serena. What are your names?” “Emily!”
“Kay!”
“Well, Emily, Kay,” Serena says, “I know of an amazing, safe place to have an adventure. I happen to be going there right now. Wanna come?”
“What kind of place?” Emily asks, eyes shining excitedly.
“An amazing, alien vessel filled with wacky characters that you would only find in a cartoon.”
“I like cartoons,” Kay beams.
“I thought you would,” Serena grins, “but do you also like clowns?”
They spend the next couple hours riding the bus through the city. Kay and Emily are amazed by Serena’s seemingly endless knowledge of the city, as she always has something to say about something they pass. She also seems really tough and scares strangers away with just a glare and a snarl.
Finally, after about two hours, they arrive at their stop and Serena leads them off the bus. They walk for a couple blocks before arriving to another, smaller bus that’s bright pink. The young girls are immediately ecstatic.
“It’s so pretty!” Emily chimes.
“Really? I always thought it was kind of gaudy,” Serena comments as she opens the side door. “I’m back.”
Inside is pink too, with fluffy carpeting and leather seats and a hammock hanging from the ceiling. Spread out on the seats are four very odd looking characters who do a double-take as the girls walk in.
“What!” D-boy exclaims and falls out of his hammock.
“Uh, Serena…” Sickness trails off, pointing dumbly at the young girls.
“What did you do?” Reverend Meat asks accusingly.
“Relax,” Serena grunts, waving away their concerns. “I saved them from some perverted creep on the bus. They’re Squee’s neighbors.”
“Really?” Eff asks as he kneels in front of them.
“You’re a clown!” Kay exclaims.
“Very perceptive,” he remarks.
“Can you make balloon animals?” Emily asks.
He shrugs. “Sure, why not.” He reaches into his hat and pulls out a long, deflated pink balloon which he quickly blows up. After a bit of twisting and pulling, he makes Emily a balloon poodle and she squeals with delight.
“I want one!” Kay exclaims.
“D-boy, you make this one,” Eff orders.
The other Doughboy groans with annoyance but pulls a red balloon out of his hat, which he twists into a giraffe. Both girls cheer excitedly.
“They’re adorable,” Reverend Meat beams.
“They’re too loud,” D-boy grunts as he rubs his ear.
“Where’s Aron?” Serena asks as she looks around.
“In class,” Sickness replies.
“Damn,” she sighs, “I wanted to drive them home right away but I guess we can’t just leave without Aron. If he comes back and the bus is gone, he’ll break.”
“Wait, you’re gonna take us home?” Kay snaps, “you said you’d take us on an adventure!”
“Was this not enough of an adventure for you?” Serena asks, gesturing to the Night Terrors. “You even got souvenirs.”
“We want real adventure!” Emily shouts, “with danger and…and…exploring and…and monsters!”
“Yeah!” Kay agrees.
“Ugh, this is why I hate kids,” Serena groans, pinching the bridge of her nose.
“So, you guys want adventure, do ya?” Reverend Meat purrs as he kneels before the young girls.
“Yah!” they cheer.
“Meat,” Serena says suspiciously.
“Relax,” he grins and stands up. “I was just gonna suggest that we walk them home.”
“Across the city?” Eff exclaims, “that’s like five hours!”
“And the perfect adventure for a couple budding adventurers,” Reverend Meat adds, “who knows what we’ll see, who we’ll come across. And they’ll probably get wiped out before we even get them home.”
“Fine,” Serena shrugs.
“Yeah, alright,” Sickness nods, “could be fun.”
“Pass,” D-boy yawns as he lies down on his hammock. But before he can get comfortable, Eff yanks him off and they all leave.
“I guess we better stop at a store and pick up drinks and snacks,” Reverend Meat muses as they walk down the street, the girls skipping ahead of them with excitement. “Wouldn’t want them passing out from hunger or something. Serena, you got any cash?”
“Uh like ten bucks,” she replies.
“That should be enough for them but what about us?” Sickness asks.
“Don’t worry, I got a plan,” Eff smirks.
They go inside the nearest store and Eff hands them the ten dollar bill. “Alright, girls, go ahead and buy ten dollars’ worth of snacks and drinks.” “Cool!” Emily cheers and they race off. They carefully pick out their treats while Eff and D-boy follow, seemingly like diligent guardians. But as the girls pay, the Doughboys slip outside with the others.
“We got gummy worms and fizzy pop!” Kay exclaims excitedly as they join the Night Terrors.
“Hey, us too,” Eff replies as he and D-boy reach into their hats and pull out cans of soda for everyone.
“Hey,” Emily says accusingly, “where’d you get those?”
“We’re magicians,” D-boy shrugs plainly, “we definitely didn’t steal them while the clerk was busy with you.”
“Yeah, exactly,” Eff nods, “now let’s go.” The girls stare at them suspiciously but follow nonetheless.
It’s a beautiful day for a walk and the girls are in awe of everything. It’s even more amazing than what they saw on the bus because now they’re actually within it. The Night Terrors keep them from stopping and admiring though, but also tell little stories about some of the stuff they pass.
“That’s the alley where Serena tried to drink my blood once,” D-boy says.
“Oh, yeah, when we first met,” Serena remarks.
“Why’d you try to drink his blood?” Emily asks, grimacing.
She shrugs. “Blood has lots of iron.” “Eeewww,” both girls reply shrilly.
They eventually leave the shopping area and pass into a middle-class neighborhood. Kids their age and older are outside, playing around and enjoying the nice summer day. But there’s one house that everyone seems to avoid and Serena points it out.
“You two will like this; that’s the Membrane house.” “Like Dib and Gaz Membrane?” Kay exclaims excitedly.
“Well, I was thinking more like their dad,” Serena replies, “you know, The Professor Membrane.”
“But Dib and Gaz are the ones who have been on all the adventures with Squee,” Emily points out, “Dib is a genius with ghosts and monsters and Gaz is super strong and dangerous.”
“Wow, you guys really know a lot about Squee’s adventures, huh?” Sickness questions.
“So you must know us then, right?” Reverend Meat asks, “the Night Terrors.”
“Ummm, I don’t think my brother ever talked about you,” Kay replies.
“But we’ve saved Squee dozens of times,” Eff points out.
“Yeah, he’s our Little Boss,” Sickness adds.
Both girls shrug apologetically.
“Hmph,” D-boy snorts, “guess our adventures aren’t good enough to talk about.” “Whatever,” Reverend Meat whines, “we’re way cooler.”
“Guys, shut up for a second,” Serena snaps and points down the street. “You see that?”
“What? What?” Kay and Emily question. They can’t see it but the Night Terrors do: something or someone on a building across the street from the Membrane house. They’re hiding in the shadows and doing a pretty good job. If Serena hadn’t noticed a glare from the scope on their gun, they never would’ve been spotted.
“What are they doing?” Sickness asks.
“Looks like their pointing some kind of weapon at the Membrane house,” Reverend Meat replies.
“That’s suspicious,” Serena comments.
“What are you guys talking about?” Emily asks, “we don’t see anything.”
Eff smirks at them. “We’ll show you just how cool our adventures are. Come on, D-boy.”
The Doughboys suddenly leap up onto the roof of the closest building, to the shock and awe of the two girls.
Meanwhile, Dib and Gaz are relaxing on lounge chairs on the roof of their house. Both of them are smiling blissfully, enjoying the peace and quiet. Across the street, an Irken in a black body suit points a scoped laser rifle at them, taking aim at Dib’s big head.
He starts to pull the trigger when his antennae twitch. He whips around and fires his rifle.
Dib’s eyes crack open at the sound. “Did you hear that?”
“Huh, I don’t care,” Gaz replies, not even looking up from her GS3.
“Hm. Yeah,” Dib agrees and closes his eyes.
The Irken growls defiantly but is completely immobilized as Eff holds the barrel of his gun and D-boy squeezes his antennae. With his free hand, Eff rubs the little spot of charred flesh on his cheek where the laser grazed him.
“You ruined my make-up,” he grunts.
Without another word, Eff reaches into his hat, pulls out a machete, and carves the Irken to bits.
They soon join their friends back on the ground, after disposing of the Irken in a nearby dumpster.
“So?” Reverend Meat asks.
“Looked like some kind of Irken assassin,” Eff replies.
“An assassin? After Dib and Gaz?” Sickness questions, “but Squee hasn’t said they’re being hunted.”
“Maybe he doesn’t know,” D-boy shrugs, “we almost didn’t notice them.” “Oh! Oh!” Emily exclaims, frantically waving her hand in the air.
“Yes, Emily?” Serena asks.
“What if assassins are after Squee’s other friends too?”
The Night Terrors share a curious look.
“Well, we’re already walking through the city,” Reverend Meat muses, “I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to check on them.” “And the Little Boss would definitely appreciate it,” Eff adds.
“Well, looks like you two are getting more adventure than we thought,” Serena grins at Emily and Kay, who beam excitedly.
The group hurries through the city. With a set goal in mind, even Emily and Kay don’t get so easily distracted. And soon they arrive at Zim’s cul-de-sac, and stare at his house from down the street.
Inside, Skoodge, Gir, and Minimoose are enamoured by a silly cartoon playing on the TV. Behind them, Zim is lying face down on the couch, relaxing for the first time in over a year. He forgot how nice it felt to just shut down for a while.
Outside, on the roof of a neighbor’s house, an Irken reaches into her PAK and pulls out a small, round device with a display and a red button. She presses the button and a countdown begins on the display. She starts to toss the device towards Zim’s house when a flash of purple rushes by her eyes. Before she can react, something grabs her antennae and yanks her off her feet.
Sickness lands back on the ground with her friends and holds out the immobilized Irken like a trophy. “Behold: an Irken.”
“Whoa!” Kay and Emily exclaim.
The Irken says some nasty things in her alien language which thankfully the young girls can’t understand as Sickness tosses her over to the Doughboys. “Here you go, guys.”
They both giggle excitedly and disappear down a nearby alley to finish her off in private while Sickness hands the device she had to Reverend Meat.
“She had this too,” she says, “I’m guessing it’s some kind of bomb.” “Hm,” he muses as he examines the display. “It’s in Irken. No idea what it says. Oh well.”
He grips the bomb, pulls his arm back, and whips it into the sky strong enough to break through the atmosphere. But it doesn’t make it that far and explodes ten seconds later.
Zim’s antennae twitch at the sound. He lazily lifts his head, glances around, and lies back down.
“Well, that was a lot quicker than I thought,” Reverend Meat comments.
“That was so cool!” Kay exclaims while Emily nods agreeably. He chuckles bashfully and rubs the back of his head.
“Okay, we’re done,” Eff says as he and D-boy return. “Let’s get going. It’s a long walk to Pepito’s house.”
“Yeah, too long to walk if he’s gonna be assassinated,” Reverend Meat agrees then smiles at the girls. “You too wanna go for a ride?” They stare at him in confusion.
A few moments later, they’re squealing with delight as they hang onto his shoulders and the Night Terrors leap across buildings. They’re moving much faster now, even faster than the bus, and they cover way more ground. A five hour walk is quickly shortened to barely an hour.
In his house, Pepito has barely moved from the couch all day, except to get a snack or use the bathroom. He’s been watching whatever cooking shows his mom has playing on TV and finds that he’s retaining quite a lot of it. He’ll have to try these tricks later when he’s not determined to do absolutely nothing all day.
On his roof, an Irken removes a small explosive device from his PAK and begins to activate it when he senses multiple presences appear behind him. Before he can react, a hand roughly grabs his antennae and turns him around to the Night Terrors, with Kay and Emily peeking excitedly over Reverend Meat’s shoulders.
“Hey,” Eff nods while D-boy draws a sledgehammer from his hat and smashes the Irken’s face in.
The noise is audible through the house and Pepito glances up curiously before shrugging apathetically.
Back on the roof, Serena quickly wipes the pink Irken blood off Kay and Emily’s faces, who are both stunned.
“I told you to not do that in front of them,” she hisses at the Doughboys.
“Sorry,” D-boy shrugs, “got excited.” “Ah, they’re fine,” Eff scoffs, “right, girls?”
“Yeah!” Emily exclaims.
“That was awesome!” Kay cheers.
“See?” Eff says to Serena. “It’ll just come up in therapy later in life.” “That was everyone, right?” Sickness asks.
“Let’s see: Zim, Dib, Gaz, Pepito.” Reverend Meat lists them off on his fingers. “Yup. All that’s left is the Little Boss.” “Good. We can drop these two off at the same time,” Serena declares and looks at the girls. “You ready to go home?”
“Okay,” they chime.
“Good,” she nods, “let’s go.” The hot summer sun has passed over the sky and just begins to set for the day, and Squee and Colton haven’t moved an inch. They’re still lying on the sidewalk, legs stretched out onto the road. Their glazed over eyes blink heavily as they both smack their dry mouths.
“Hey, Colton,” Squee says.
“Yeah?” he questions.
“I’m starting to think that spending all day lying on cement wasn’t a good idea.”
“I was just thinking the same thing.”
Squee squirms painfully, his back aching. “I don’t think I’ll ever be able to move again.”
“Squee! Colton!” Kay and Emily exclaim as they race down the road.
“Oh, look who it is,” Colton groans wearily.
“Wonder where they’ve been all day,” Squee muses.
“Probably just playing in the backyard,” he replies as the girls approach.
“You’ll never guess the adventure we just went on!” Kay yells excitedly.
“First we took the bus, and then we met this really cool girl Serena who took us to the bus she lives in with clowns!” Emily explains enthusiastically, “and they took us through the city while beating alien assassins that are trying to kill your friends!” “That’s nice,” Squee mutters, barely registering what she just said. Then it hits him like a brick and his eyes fly open. “Wait, what!”
An Irken’s mangled, lifeless body hits the sidewalk right by Squee’s and Colton’s head, startling them to jump to their feet, squealing. They hold onto each other, panting as they stare with bewilderment at the body and at the Night Terrors as they land before them.
Serena grins and leans forward, flicking Squee’s nose. “You’re welcome.”
“Duh-um-uh-g-good work, guys,” Squee stammers, pointing at the Night Terrors before slipping past them and heading to his house. “I gotta call Zim.” Everyone watches him leave before the Night Terrors look at Colton.
“So apparently you don’t like telling your sister about our adventures?” Reverend Meat questions accusingly.
Colton flinches beneath their glares while Kay and Emily dance around, giggling and cheering about the day they just had.

Do You Wanna Talk it Through | Part 3
Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four (Coming Jan. 9th)
Warnings: Lil smut... but a lotta fluff.
A/N: Sorry it took so long!! But, we’ve almost reached the finish line. Let me know what you guys thing :-)
You didn’t owe Colton any explanation.
At least, that’s what you tell yourself as you throw back your fourth tequila shot of the night.
To celebrate the end of an intense semester, you and the other teaching assistant went out for drinks… or shots, apparently. You two laugh, discussing the couple of kiss ass students you’ve dealt with. For the first time in days, you were at ease… and alcohol was certainly a guilty party.
There was absolute radio silence between you and Colton. To be fair, you were unsure if there was something to be said about that day. You weren’t ready to reach out and who the hell knew if Colton was ready not.
And under oath, you would swear that was the issue.
Your boyfriend truly was built like a puzzle. Endless hope straight out of the box, but with too many missing pieces that it just becomes frustrating. It was taking so long to crack his shell, you wonder how long it’d be until you finally gave up, leaving the relationship completely unfinished-
“More shots?” Your co-worker calls over the bartender for the two you.
You’ve already moped about Colton for the past three days, you weren’t going to tonight.
The bartender sets down the shot glass in front of you and you graciously nod at him. You clink glasses and simultaneously throw it back, letting the alcohol burn down your throat. Your head is heavy when you set the glass back down.
“Y/N?” A light hand reaches out to you.
You sit back up, swaying… you were starting to feel woozy
Your co-worker says something foggy, but you can barely comprehend before you brown out.
The rest of the night is a blur. You’re suddenly in the back of a taxi, holding your co-worker’s hand as she gives directions to the driver… to Colton’s apartment? You groan as she pulls out your phone to call him. Don’t call him,you want to say, but can’t get the words out. When he picks up, your cheek touches the cool glass, only hearing snippets.
She’s okay… didn’t eat much… we’re here… up the stairs, can you meet…
You find yourself at Colton’s front door, held up by your coworker. When the door swings open, a mixture of feelings swirl at the pit of your stomach. He was sooooo sooo hot but sooo sooo hard to read. You go with your gut instinct, anyway. “Colt, baby!” You throw your arms around his neck as he takes you inside.
“Thanks for bringing her… let me at least pay for your cab.”
Next, you’re sitting on the couch, watching your boyfriend’s tall figure float around the kitchen, grabbing you a glass of water. He was soooo good for you as you watch the fabric of his gray sweatpants flex over his thick thighs and ass. You were this close to making him all yours the other day. You groan a little over the thought, making him turn towards you. You ask, “Colton… are you mad at me?”
“Of course, not.” He says immediately. Even when you were drunk as hell and there was a stiffness to his voice that made you want to cry, you knew he meant it… to some extent.
“Because I’ve been- fuck.” You stumble off the couch and fall right on your ass, trying to pull of your thigh high boots.
“Oh shit, Y/N.” Colton rushes over, “Are you okay?”
“Kinda,” you slur, groaning into his shoulder while he assesses the damage. Your ass might be bruised in the morning, but you just want these stupid boots off. Fumbling with the zipper, your skirt gathers at the hip... something that you knew Colton notice. His eyes lingering a little long down below.
So, he wasn’t completely repulsed by you.
“Can you- can you help take these off?” Colton’s eyes flicker back up to you in a soft lopsided smile you were obsessed with and nods. You reach out to cup his cheek and sigh, “God, I love that smile.”
He laughs, his fingers grazing your upper thigh, “You’re something else.”
“No, I me-mean it,” You hiccup, “It’s so fucking hot when you look at me like that.”
Colton gives you another small smile to entertain you, “Yeah?”
You nod, your eyes following his long fingers that one boot off and starts on the other, “Can’t believe you’re all mine.
“All yours,” He repeats back to you. Tapping your leg, he says, “Here, stand for a second.” You wobble up, lightly pulling at his hair for support, “Easy there, Y/N.”
You giggle over Colton as he steadies you by the back of your thigh, fingers curling into your inner thigh. You mumble an apology into his hair, “I didn’t think they’d be so hard to take off… I thought they looked good.”
“They do look amazing,” He places the shoes next to the couch, “Didn’t know you had these.”
“Got them 50% off,” You slur, jumping on the couch, “For you.”
“I don’t think they’d fit on me,” He plops down next to you and raises one of his legs, “They do look better on you.”
You giggle into his shoulder wrapping an arm around his neck. He twirls your hair between his fingers and moves to caress your back. You lift your chin up to kiss his cheek, cupping his cheek. Colton leans into your touch. You take the opportunity to lock lips with him, the first time in days. He pulls you onto his lap, straddling him. The feeling of his groin through the thin gray sweatpants…
“I’ve missed you so bad,” You whisper against his lips.
He tenses at those words and, already, he’s pulling away.
“Y/N…” he says, warningly, when you start applying pressure here and there.
“What?” You look up at him innocently, “I need to say I’m sorry… about Thursday…”
He woefully smiles at you, starting to strain against your clothed cunt against his cunt, “You don’t have to apologize for changing your mind.” He tucks a loose piece of hair behind your ear, “But, I don’t think now’s the time to talk about it…”
“I never said we had to talk.”
You look down at your hips, moving back and forth against him. He throws his head back, letting out a throaty groin.
“I didn’t get to return the favor,” His cock chubs up against your thigh and you knew what you wanted to do.
Colton lets out a strained sigh, weakly trying to stop your motions, “Y/N… you’re drunk… Now’s not the-”
“Please…” You reach down to the waistband of his pants, “Just a taste?”
He closes his eyes again, speechless when you get on your knees, slowly pulling his sweatpants down with you. Your jaw nearly drops to the floor at the sight in front of you. Colton was a large man, and after a series of over-the-pants rub and tugs, you had an idea of what his cock looked like. But when it was in front of you, straining in your attention and dripping with precum, it was far better than fantasy.
You lean down to the base of his shaft, peeking up through your lashes. Colton’s pupils are blown wide, unable to take his eyes off of you when your tongue runs the underside of his shaft to the very top. You slide your lips over the tip, swirling your tongue through the precum.
“Y/N… please stop…” Colton pulls you back up, “You’re too drunk to do this.”
Your head is heavy with alcohol and embarrassment. Your head pounds so hard that you can’t stop the tears from falling, “I’m sorry…”
“No, no, no… don’t be, babe.” Colton thumbs the tears off your cheeks, “I just don‘t-”
“Love me?”
“What?” His eyebrows knit together in horror, “Of course, I love you…”
You’re quiet, just letting the tears drip onto his shirt.
“Y/N… I love you so much-”
Your head shoots up, “Are you sure about that?”
“What?”
You were too drunk. Too drunk to talk about this, “Colt, you don’t get it-“
“Do you think this is a joke to me? That I’m just joking when I say, ‘I love you’?” Colton tilts your chin up. You start shaking you head out of his hand, “Just tell me what’s going on…”
“I can’t figure you out,” You choke out, full on sobbing.
“You say that… but…”
“When you-” You hiccup, “You never tell me what’s on your mind. I can’t figure-”
“Y/N, what in the world-”
“I’m sorry,” You cry harder.
“I don’t know what-”
“My ex used to hurt me,” The pure shame washed over you so hard that it slipped. The one thing… the only thing you kept from Colton because you knew how it’d all makes sense. You saw it in the sorrow of his trembling lip. Despite potentially ruining a good relationship, you go on, “He said a lot of things. A lot of sweet things that I didn’t believe anything bad was happening. He was so hard to read… and when things were bad… they got so bad… he-”
“Y/N-”
“Don’t…” You recoil from him, “When I’m with you, things are so different. I feel safe. But when you pull away from me, it’s like-”
“Hey, hey, hey,” Colton holds your face with both hands, forcing you to look up at him, “It’s okay… shhh… You deserved so much more than what he did. You know that… right?” You nod, curling up against his chest, sobbing. Softly, he kisses the top of your head and whispers, “I haven’t communicated like I should. That’s entirely my fault. But-but I love you so much that it scares me sometimes. Do you know that? That I love you so much that it overwhelms me?” When you don’t respond, he stands up suddenly, holding your hand, “Come on…”
“Wha-what’s happening?” You gaze at him, cheeks still wet. Colton looked determined, tucking back his cock that was soft now.
“I’m showing you how much I love you.”
He takes you down the hall to the bathroom and sets you down on the side of the bathtub. You wipe the rest of your tears away, sniffling. Colton looks over at you as he shuffles through the medicine cabinet. When he kneels down next to you, in his hands are makeup wipes you’ve left behind once you’d started coming over after classes and staying late to watch movies.
Gingerly, he reaches up to your eyebrow with the wipe. You close your eyes, letting him gently remove your makeup, “It amazes me how beautiful you are.”
“Makeup is a deceitful trick,” You smile, weakly.
“That’s not it,” He looks at your face closely, giving it one last rub with the makeup wipe, “There…”
“Thank you,” You whisper.
Colton rubs your knee before standing up and heading to the shower, turning it on.
“May I?” He points to your shirt and you raise your arms. He reaches the hem of your shirt and pulls it over your head. Next, his finger runs along the band of your bra, snapping the clasp open. When he pulls your bra off, you suddenly feel exposed. More exposed than you’ve ever felt in your life. He doesn’t linger on your breasts for long, merely kissing your cheek and whispering for you to stand up.
“What are you doing?”
“It looks like we both need a fresh start,” He says, focused on removing your underwear and skirt in one swift movement. When you’re fully nude, he pulls his shirt off and kicks his sweats off, “It’s time for a cleanse.”
You give him the same courtesy and try not to ogle at his naked form as he tests out the water. When it seems to reach his standards, he slides the glass door open for you, beckoning you inside.
The water falls on your shoulders in a soothing heat, making you sigh. Colton steps in after you, caressing your hair to make sure every strand gets wet. He moves your hair to one side, placing a kiss on your shoulder.
When he reaches around you for the shampoo bottle, you whisper, “You don’t have to do this for me…”
“I do,” He squirts a sizable amount of shampoo onto his palm and gently massages it into your scalp, “I can’t think of anything more personal than this.”
You sigh, content, “More than sex?”
“Even more than sex,” He repeats, reaching for the body wash as you step into the direct fall of the water, washing away your embarrassments and insecurities. He lathers your shoulders first, massaging you. His fingers move run up and down your arms before reaching your chest. He palms your breast in a nonsexual way, gently running his thumbs over the tops, then moving on swiftly.
You rest your head on his shoulder as he continues to lather you, enjoying the calming of the alcohol that whirled in you.
After, he wraps you in one of his soft towels. He picks you up bridal style and you squeal as he takes you to the bedroom, gently setting him on the bed. He dries himself off, looking at you with absolute adoration. When he puts on a pair of sweatpants, he reaches over your head, putting you in the U of A sweatshirt you wore the other night.
Climbing into bed with you, he says, “My ex cheated on me for about three months before we broke up... four years down the toilet.”
You try to read him, but you just wrap your arms around him, “You never told me that.”
“I was in denial about it for a long time,” He sighs, pulling you closer to his chest, “She left me… actually. And it scared me to think that I’d never get over her.” He kisses your forehead, “But then, I meet the most beautiful girl at the bookstore... who didn’t even know St. Louis had a hockey team.”
“She sounds like she isn’t shit,” You laugh, hoarsely.
“Oh, but she is.” Colton gazes down at you, “She was so smart, so self-assured that it intimidated the hell out of me. I fell in love with her so hard that it terrified me to lose her. I had no idea that protecting myself would hurt her too.”
“I’m okay,” You sniffle.
Colton’s quiet for a moment, and says, “We’ve only been dating for a couple of months, but I feel as if this is it for me. I want to do things right… I had suspicions that you had gone through something before we met. I just figured that you would bring it up eventually.”
“And not on the cusp of a rejected blowjob?”
His chest shakes with laughter, holding you tighter, “Not exactly… but I’m glad it did…”
You smile up at him, feeling drowsy. Colton senses this, turning off the lights. You start drifting off to sleep as he caresses your hair. Right as you fade into a drunken slumber, he whispers,
“I promise to never let anyone hurt you like that ever again.”

The District City Neighborhood Part 2.
Stephen wakes me up the next morning with coffee and breakfast on a tray. He told me got a call from his two younger brothers and they were coming back home. Grant was his first brother who was a success bar owner former childhood star. He used his money to buy a handful of bars from random owners all over the country.
He had created the worlds first and now for the most important part only successful bar franchise. He was skinny good looking white male with a funny bone and was always the laugh of the party. He also extremely drunk every night and you can time him being drop off by one of his employees.
I heard a car pull up as he exits it and pays off his limo driver looking quite sober as he enters the house. I greet him with Stephen to which he gives me a suspicious look and I laugh it off. Stephan glares back at him as he looks at me and nervously gulps down his own spit. I turn around as Stephen makes him a cup of joe and I slip my special seed in.
As the aroma fills the room I leave the two of them in the house and I enter their dads garden an the sole one of this entire gated community. I pull out my magical flute a treasure of Pan The Saytr God Of Lust entrusted to me by Pan himself. His one wish was to entrust it to a human who can bring its power to earth.
Pan lives on an entirely different plain where he played his flute and his nymphs danced to the muse as they grew the garden. As they grew the magical garden they inhabited so did the earthly beauty of our world. So shall I grow my numbers as I play for them and bring many changes to my world as I see it. Am I not the most guy ever.
I watched as they spoke to each other from the corner of my eye and knelt down to check out the growing plant. I pulled out a bag as I quickly pull out a couple of seeds to add to my growing collection. I stand up embracing the bright shining sun as the rays washed over me and looked around the community.
It was quite the amazing placed really and it was truly beautiful well scaled gardens that highlighted its wonder. I stretched my arms as I heard foot steps behind me and I turn around to see Stephan asking me if we can order pizza. I command him to walking behind him as I sat on the chair and patted Grant on the back.
He was completely lost as his glassy eyes look at me and he smiles dumbly with a dopey grin.“Grant let’s make this simple you are my slave Grant and you all ways have been my pet. I own you completely in all ways and you are happy to give all to me. You want nothing more then to be a mindless fool to my very whim and desire.” he shakes his head in agreement as it wears off.
He smirks at me as he wakes up an hugs me as the doors opens and I see younger strong masculine muscles stood appear. I can see Stephan was more prepared as he dumped the chocolate onto of the seed. He poured the hot water to make a cup of hit chocolate for his other brother. His youngest brother was Colton a owner of a franchise of many movie theaters.
He swiftly gulps all of chocolate up as he sits down glaring at me as it’s their past time and I turn to ignore him. Grant opens the door as he pays for and brings in the pizza happily with great excitement. Stephan pulls me over as eh tries to keep us talking until the seed begins to work. Soon Colton’s head hangs over as his eyes go glassy and a dumb smile covers his face.
I wink at them all as I begin to play tune on my magical flute and the room begins to warp completely unaware of the changes being made before them. I begin to walk into the living room as they danced in unison following from room to the next. They house became a spring paradise with summer weather and garden of eden palace.
My house combined with theirs even though it looked normal on the outside and it was a true combination of destination isles from mythos.I sat by the lake as I continued to play and they danced around me as their lives took a massively sudden change for the better. Their old lives faded into the void of nothingness and they danced till I commanded them to stop.
I heard the keys to the door open as their only father stood in the doorway. He looked like he was in complete shock from a truly evil and horrifying event.

Colton Herta: Red Bull working to secure licence for IndyCar star at Alpha Tauri next season
Herta completed a test with McLaren at at Portimao in Portugal in July Red Bull are trying to secure a Formula 1 licence for IndyCar star Colton Herta so he can drive for their Alpha Tauri team next year. The move has arisen as Alpine want Alpha Tauri's Pierre Gasly to replace Aston Martin-bound Fernando Alonso. Herta does not have the required number of points under the FIA's system to qualify for an F1 'super-licence'. But Red Bull motorsport boss Helmut Marko is hopeful Herta will be granted a dispensation by the governing body. "Astonishingly enough, all of the parties and teams involved, we found an agreement," Marko told US broadcaster SpeedCity Broadcasting on SiriusXM after the Dutch Grand Prix. "First we have to get a definite answer [from the FIA] and I think it should be by Monza [the Italian Grand Prix this coming weekend]." Marko said he believed there were grounds to grant an exemption in Herta's case, because of clauses introduced in the wake of the pandemic, which has made it harder to accrue licence points. "We looked at the regulations, we discussed it with the FIA, and because of Covid there's a special regulation that you can take three years [from four] and also if one result isn't maximum points and outside the driver's [hands] they can give the points," Marko said. "So it's nothing unreasonable. He won seven IndyCar races and that's comparable to a grand prix I think, so it would be a shame if he wouldn't get a super-licence." An FIA spokesperson said: "We are going to stick to our rules. There won't be any exceptions." However, he added that he was not aware of the FIA being approached, and that "if it's raised, we will look into it". Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said they would not release Gasly to Alpine unless they could secure Herta. "That is an FIA issue we just need clarity which will hopefully come sooner rather than later because it holds a key role in the driver merry-go-round," Horner said. "If the option is not there, the other triggers will not come into play." On Herta's potential, Horner said: "He is an exciting talent, a young American guy who has been a stand-out talent in the US. "It will be very interesting to see how he performs in F1. To have a successful US driver could be very interesting. "Pierre is doing a good job in Alpha Tauri. There would not be a desire to change if there was not an interesting option available." Marko has ruled out Mick Schumacher, currently at Haas, being an option for Alpha Tauri in 2023. Herta tested for McLaren in July this year and their team principal Andreas Seidl said he was more than good enough for a seat in F1. "He did a very good test," Seidl said. "At the same time, it was only, let's say, the initial test with us and it was also very important, and we were clear with Colton to take his time also in order to build it up. But yeah, it was quite impressive." A number of team bosses said at the Dutch Grand Prix that no exemptions should be made from the licencing system. But Seidl said Herta could justify one. "In terms of the super-licence, in general we believe in the system. We think it's a good system in place," Seidl said. "But at the same time, we are absolutely up for some flexibility as well, also taking into account especially the situation in the last two years with Covid and everything, it had an impact as well on results drivers could score. "We are absolutely open for some flexibility there and handing a guy like Colton the super-licence, because in the end, with what he has shown so far in his racing career, I have no doubt that he is absolutely able to compete in Formula 1." via BBC Sport - Formula 1 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/

Palou leads Pato O’Ward by 25 points with the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey on Sunday, Sept. 19 and the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on Sunday, Sept. 26 remaining in the 2021 season. O’Ward led 28 laps early in the race but faded in the second half in the No. 5 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet, finishing 14th.
Two-time series champion Newgarden is third in the standings, 34 points behind Palou. Dixon is fourth, 49 points behind the leader, and Marcus Ericsson is fifth, 75 points back. Ericsson finished seventh in the No. 8 Huski Chocolate Chip Ganassi Racing Honda.
“I don’t care that much about the points at this moment,” Palou said. “I think the race we did today, it’s just amazing. Not me, but the guys, with the strategy, with the pit stops, with everything. With all the bad luck we had, we still won. I’m proud about that. Fried chicken tonight!”
Two races remain in the season, with a maximum of 54 points available at each: the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey on Sunday, Sept. 19 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on Sunday, Sept. 26 on the streets of Long Beach, California.
Palou took the lead for good on Lap 86 when Ericsson made his final pit stop from the top spot. The Spaniard never was threatened by Rossi down the stretch despite two restarts, inexorably expanding his lead lap by lap on the Firestone primary “black” tires, which have more durability than the Firestone alternate “red” tires that Andretti Autosport fastened to Rossi’s car on his final stop.
"It was a big fight, for sure,” Rossi said. “(Palou) did a good job, he didn’t make any mistakes. The red tires have a peak that’s a little bit better, but they certainly have a bit more fall-off, which is what they’re supposed to do. That’s the beauty of INDYCAR racing with the different strategies.”
The march to victory by Palou seemed almost unthinkable after the chaos that unfolded at the start of the race in the tight right-left chicane in Turn 1, one of the most fraught flashpoints in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
Palou and Dixon both overshot Turns 1 and 2 of the three-turn chicane at the end of the front straight after Dixon’s car was nudged from behind by the No. 7 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet of Felix Rosenqvist, who also went wide in Turn 1 along with Colton Herta’s No. 26 Gainbridge Honda and others.
Neither Palou nor Dixon suffered damage in the melee that triggered the first of four caution periods in the race. But five drivers in the mid-pack and rear of the field – Will Power, Romain Grosjean, Oliver Askew, James Hinchcliffe and Helio Castroneves – all were forced to the pits or paddock for repairs after contact in the fracas. Hinchcliffe was unable to continue.
INDYCAR rules state that cars avoiding the collision and remaining on the racing surface at the timing lines embedded in the track through the chicane are placed at the front of the field on the restart, with drivers avoiding the collision but leaving the racetrack placed behind them, followed by drivers involved in the incident.
That caused a massive reshuffle of the order, as O’Ward and Rahal claimed first and second on the restart on Lap 11 because they stayed on track and clean in the first-lap incident. Meanwhile, Palou was moved to 16th, Dixon 17th, Rosenqvist 18th, Rossi 19th, Newgarden 21st and Herta 22nd for the restart after INDYCAR officials reviewed timing loop data, and those drivers’ long road back toward the front began.
Palou, Dixon, Herta and Rossi were among the drivers who pitted under yellow on Lap 9. Those stops triggered a tactical battle of varying fuel and pit strategies for the rest of the race, as teams and drivers decided whether to overcut or undercut rivals with fast pit-in and pit-out laps and perfectly executed stops.
O’Ward stayed out front until he made his first pit stop on Lap 29, handing the lead to Graham Rahal in the No. 15 Total Quartz Honda. Various pit cycles thrust Ed Jones, Harvey, Dixon and Palou into short stints out front before Rahal took control of the race on Lap 44.
Rahal maintained a lead of around 2.5 seconds over O’Ward until rookie Callum Ilott and Dalton Kellett both slowed on track in separate spots on Lap 51, triggering the second caution period of the race on Lap 52.
While a handful of drivers pitted, Rahal elected to stay out and led until Lap 74, when he and second-place Jones pitted to hand the lead to Harvey.
Pit cycles then unfolded over the next 12 laps before Palou, who made his final stop on Lap 79, one lap before teammate Dixon, took the lead for good on Lap 86.
Palou pulled away from Rossi on restarts on Lap 89 and Lap 92 after brief caution periods and reached the checkered flag leading 29 laps for the race. Rahal led a race-high 36 laps before finishing 10th.

Palou Completes Weekend Sweep for Honda
PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 12, 2021 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Alex Palou led a Honda sweep of the top four finishing positions Sunday at the Grand Prix of Portland, as Honda drivers and teams dominated the finishing order, despite being delayed by a multi-car crash in the opening moments of today’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES event at Portland International Raceway.
Palou, second-finishing Alexander Rossi, third-place Scott Dixon and Jack Harvey, who rounded out the top four, were all caught up in a multi-car incident seconds after the green flag for today’s 110-lap race, when Felix Rosenqvist overshot the entry to the first turn and tagged Dixon’s left-rear tire, scattering nearly half the 27-car starting field.
All four quickly resumed, but now were in the back half of the field for the restart, leading to the thrilling comeback drives that ensued. Behind the lead four, Honda drivers claimed eight of the top-10 finishing positions with Marcus Ericsson, Colton Herta and Graham Rahal finishing seventh, eighth and 10th, respectively.
In addition to Honda’s Indy car win in Portland, Filipe Albuquerque and Ricky Taylor took their Acura ARX-05 prototype to the overall victory today in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship endurance sports car race in Monterey, California.
