This is hard to put into words because while I do genuinely like the show, I like it for more than what it is on the surface. Its not that I relate to the characters on a deep emotional level but more or so of how it slowly grew on me and changed the way I thought of how I interact with media and the people who consume it.

When I first saw the show I was an 11 year old kid who "liked" almost anything, as long as it was 'entertaining' for me. Mind you I didn't actually understand what was going on, nor did I even react to alot of the scenes in any way I just... watched it to watch it. I mean, it beats the shitty infomercials and corny live action sitcoms that were on at the time.

When I formed an actual opinion on the show it was a deep, deep hatred. I saw the show as objectively lazy, cheap, mean-spirited and just downright obnoxious at times with its themes and writing. And I'll admit it, it's true.

Family guy is not an amazing show. A lot of it's characters, which used to be charming and fun to watch became flanderized distorted versions of themselves due to the passage of time. It's writing has moments where it can be downright cringe inducing, especially with some of the jokes. The themes of certain episodes are so ridiculously problematic that it made even ME feel uncomfortable on occasion. The animation is quite often cheap and stiff and don't even get me started on the modernized design of the show itself...

I can completely understand why somebody would say it was downright garbage.

But my dad LOVED that show

He would continuously talk about how funny he found Peter and his family, recount episodes by memory and even show me his favorite clips of the show and would laugh and laugh at the occasionally shitty punchlines. He loved this stupid bad show so much that for almost every birthday he'd ask me to draw Peter Griffin for him..

I hated that shit.

I would rant to him about how shitty the show was and that it was incredibly problematic that he liked it. And most of the time he'd simply reply, "Well I think it's funny!"

And I'd give a snarky retort on how it was stupid that he did.

Needless to say we didn't talk much about what we liked to one another.

And as more and more life stuff happened we became more distant and hostile until finally I was out of the house for college.

I didn't really reach out to him often and I rarely ever called.

And that was that at the time.

Until I watched dog bites bear.

Now to preface this, it was by complete accident. All my favorite video essayists has no more videos to watch, and I would rather tear my own eyes out than listen to another reddit "Am I the asshole for killing my entire family" type post. So without anything better to do, I let it play out. And to say I was shocked at how good stewie and brian's plotline was had me shocked. For a good while, I was obsessed with this episode, and I became even MORE shocked when I realized that there were MULTIPLE episodes with this amount genuine-ness to it.

As I began to binge through more and more episodes of this... fucking stupid show I hated at the time, I started to see aspects of it that I missed out on.

The original music and dance sequences ranged from alright to downright impressive! And it doesn't help that I'm a sucker for musicals and showtunes. Some of the fight scenes being actually, pretty well choregraphed. Yes, the camera angles are flat and uninspired at times, I do like how creative they can be. Some of the plotlines in many episodes have actually REALLY GOOD STORY BEATS AND SCENES TO IT. Like for example, when Peter and Lois reunite in Meet the Quagmires, or every moment of Peter and Brian's relationship in New Kidney in Town and Forget Me Not, Brain and Stewie's EVERYTHING (And the episode too). AND THESE WEREN'T EVEN THE FIRST 3 SEASONS.

I could honestly go on and on about the things I enjoyed in this show and it kinda made me realize alot about how I treated this show and the people who liked it. I genuinely thought I was better than them JUST BECAUSE THEY LIKED THIS "OBJECTIVELY BAD" PEICE OF MEDIA and I would constantly put people down just for liking the things that I considered to be bad. So, when I binged this show and CONSIOUSLY HAD A GOOD TIME WATCHING ALOT OF THE EPISODES? It made me realize that...

I was such a pretentious fucking dick as a kid lol

When I finished binging through around... what... a good 2-3 hours of family guy, my dad called me

And rather than ignoring it like I usually did I actually picked up... It was a little awkward at first, at least from my end... but I don't think my dad even noticed my stiffness. He was just happy to hear my voice after so long, asking how I was doing and how was school and all that... and I'd answer my usual "It was fine." But, what really started a conversation between us was me asking him what his personal favorite episode of Family Guy was, just out of pure curiosity. And the way I could hear his voice light up as he gushed about all his favorite moments...? Christ man...

As stupid as "Family Guy helped me rebuild my connection with my father" SOUNDS, it's really what happened. We ended up spending alot more time together, talking about things we liked and disliked and realized that... we were alot similar than either of us expected. And not only that it really helped me see both the good and the bad in media and that it was ok to enjoy things that everyone else enjoyed, even if the bad outweighs the good.

I understand that the great aspects of family don't represent the show as a whole... but there's a reason other than capitalistic corporatism of why this show just doesn't ever fucking end. Because there's people there that care about this show and these stupid shitty goofy ass characters, both the fans and the people who work on it.

Idk... this was an unnecessarily personal and sentimental stupid rant about something that I grew to love. Really I could've just answered with a simple "yes" and chad Peter png I stole off of google.

But I really do love this show because it helped me appreciate the one person in my life who stuck with me the best he could despite the tragedy after tragedy that happened to him, how shittily and harsh;y I treated him fur to my own fears and traumas, and how far he sunk down into dark... dark places...

Even after all that he's still giving it his all to the people he loves.

And I love him for that.

Sorry for how insane and incomprehensible this ENTIRE diatribe is. I just wanted to gush about how this show made me grow and change as a person and love my family

Three Supermen in Santo Domingo (1986)

SYNOPSIS: FBI agent Brad Scott is once again required to team up with the international thieves known as “The Supermen,” this time they travel to Santo Domingo in South America to disrupt a money counterfeiting operation by some local crime gangs.

THOUGHTS/ANALYSIS: Three Supermen in Santo Domingo is a 1986 film and the final instalment in the Three Supermen series of films. The plot is fairly typical and familiar to those who have watched any of the other films: an FBI agent has to team up with the international thieves known as “The Supermen,” this time travelling to Santo Domingo to stop a counterfeiting operation run by a local gang. There’s no time travelling or outlandish elements in this film; it’s just a simple crimefighting, slapstick bit of fun, although obviously the supermen still have their bulletproof suits, that villains never quite work out that they could just shoot them in their uncovered heads. There’s a variety of action scenes (which consist of a fair amount of speeding up and reversing footage instead of actual stunts), and setups involving disguises, and elaborate plans, but nothing too exciting.

As always, the film revolves around the three supermen, and once again, they are played by different actors; all with the exception of one, Sal Borgese, who has been playing the mute superman since the second film (in the ones which you could consider “canon” anyway). The names of the characters also change quite a lot, and this time it seems like they’ve just resorted to calling Sal’s character Sal. The other two actors change every film, and this time the change is quite apparent, as they are obviously a lot younger than Sal. One of them is Stefano Martinenghi, who is the son of the director, and clearly only got the role because of this: he doesn’t really fit the role of the charming, cheeky lead. The actor playing the role of FBI agent Brad Scott also doesn’t really work because he seems way too young, and typically the role goes to someone who is older and more straight-laced, to balance with the supermen’s goofiness. There are glimmers of that personality, but not much. The rest of the cast aren’t really worth mentioning, as the villains don’t really stand out, and the supporting cast barely exist on screen.

It’s perhaps worth mentioning at this point that this film series has been going on for nearly twenty years at the time this film was made; and there is no reason for it to have done so. The original was a cheap b-movie that spoofed sci-fi and spy films that were popular in 1967, but had a somewhat interesting twist by having professional acrobats play the lead roles, which led to some fun action scenes and well-choregraphed fights. The first film, while nothing more than a typical b-movie, did everything it really needed to, but for some reason it became a series that went on to satirise other types of films, such as Westerns, cold war plots, martial arts films, and even got a Turkish rip-off version...which further still, somewhat fused with the Turkish rip-off scene when production of the films moved to Turkey. The whole production of this series is all over the place, but I suppose credit should be given to the films somewhat adapting to changing to cultural trends. Three Supermen in Santo Domingo doesn’t really offer anything special in this regard though, and while it keeps things simple, it definitely feels like a format that is well past its sell-by date in 1986, and since this is the final film in the series, the makers probably knew this too. Definitely deserves credit for going for twenty years, but its last hurrah is uneventful.

During the shoot before Round 2, the time when they got the experts’ evaluation for Round 1, ATEEZ revealed the reason behind why the chose iKON as the group they wanted to exchange songs with.

"Everyone wanted to do iKON sunbaenims' songs. San did his monthly evaluation with Rhythm Ta and Minyoung's video for her highschool admission was Bling Bling. It's like we're fated to do this." Hongjoong explained moving his hands to point towards the two metioned people.

Seonghwa nodded adding in his own experience "I really like iKON sunbaenim that I even performed it at my school event."

"That's true! There's even videos of it." Hongjoong chuckled while Seonghwa shifted uncomfortably knowing the editors would probably add in the said video

"Minyoung too. She was formerly a YG trainee, so she must have had to dance to at least one song?" Jongho turned to the girl who was uncharacteristically quiet

"Me? I was a trainee there when they competed in Mix and Match. Ah but we don’t really practice Korean songs a lot there. Although, it’s like a mentality of trainees? You want to learn all the seniors’ songs in the company in case you have to perform it suddenly." Minyoung looked as if she was hiding herself cringing at her trainee days, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"So what? You literally are a member of their fanclub! I’m sure you know their songs by heart." Wooyoung pointed out making the rest of the members laugh. This information prompted the production staff behind the camera to ask if she really was a member of the iKON’s fanclub.

"I am, I also attended their concert in Sydney before. I also have membership for SF9 sunbaenim and BTOB sunbaenim. Oh but I like everyone!" Minyoung quickly added afraid she'll get misunderstood

"Ah right! But your class performed with Killing Me during the festival." Yunho exclaimed, clapping as he remembered the performance

"Oppa! Don't!" Minyoung tried to shush him but she knew it was too late. She turned to the staff worried "You're probably going to dig up videos right?"

[Of course! Here it is!]

As if teasing the girl, the editors played a clip of said performance. At this point, Minyoung knows there's no escaping what she calls her dark past.

(Group Interview)

The staff asked the group if they have tried contacting someone other groups with Hongjoong answering that he will try to do that after the show ends.

“When we started filming for Kingdom, I decided to be close with Kim Jinhwan-sunbaenim.” Wooyoung confessed making the other members laugh as he did declare that he will do whatever it takes to become close with him.

“Why do you sound so excited?” San asked laughing

“I feel like I don’t want people to know that I know you when you act like this oppa.” Minyoung mumbled evoking laughter from everyone including Wooyoung.

“What do you mean by that? You’re also like this with the other seniors!” Wooyoung grinned teasing the girl, Minyoung stuck out her tongue playfully at him.

“Even before filming Kingdom, the only groups that I don’t have anyone I personally know is iKON-sunbaenim and BTOB-sunbaenim. I’ll work hard to change that and be a successful fan.” Minyoung answered smiling shyly

“You do know Chanwoo-sunbaenim though? Through Chani-sunbaenim right?” Yunho poked the girl chuckling

“Ah right. We haven’t really talked but when it’s possible, he said he’ll schedule for our group to have a meal together with iKON-sunbaenim.” Minyoung nodded making the members smile in excitement

“Are you thinking of making it a win-win scenario with iKON?” the staff asked and with no hesitation the whole of ATEEZ answered yes.

“I think it’ll be great if we could place 1st and 2nd with iKON-sunbaenim. That’s my wish.” Hongjoong answered as the rest of the members nodded.

“People complimented our narrative in round one and that’s because they could tell that we were pirates. When performing Rhythm Ta, we need an arrangement and choreography from which people could tell exactly what we’re going for.” Hongjoong explained his ideas to the group as they conceptualize the stage for the round.

“Let’s our heads together and come up with it.” Wooyoung stated as he looked towards the other members.

“Let’s really put our heads together” Jongho joked as Hongjoong asked them to say their cheer. “Say, 9 makes 1 king.” 

“9 makes 1 king! Fighting!”

(Preparation for the Stage)

“In the original song, ‘What’s up? Hurry up and nod your head.’ this is the part that I liked. It’s catchy.” Hongjoong said to the camera as he worked on the song. “I left that part in verse 1 and verse 2 but I changed the second part a bit to incorporate a Latin vibe.”

“Another thing we agreed upon is to have another movie reference for this performance. We borrowed ideas from ‘Pirates of the Carribean’ for our Round 1 performance and for this stage, we will borrow the theme from the drama called ‘Money Heist’.”

“So we’re becoming 8 pirates. It’ll be a prequel to <Wonderland>.”

(Phone call with Minyoung)

Hongjoong called Minyoung while he was arranging Rhythm Ta into their own color and was on the phone with her as the cameras were recording. Hongjoong: Minyoung-ah, so I was thinking.. Minyoung: Oh no. What is it? *nervous tone* More high notes? Oppa stop thinking. That’s bad for my heart. *laughs* Hongjoong: Instead of high notes, I'd like you to rap.

Hongjoong laughed hearing Minyoung groan over the line and there was a pause before Minyoung spoke again.

Minyoung: Oppa. Don’t do this to me. Save me. Please. I'll do the high notes or stunts Hongjoong: We have to showcase everything Minyoung-ah. You're a rapper. You already showed Atiny that you can do it. Minyoung: I knew it. Giving in to Atiny’s request for that cover was bad *sighs before letting out a laugh in resignation* Understood. I'll do it. I have to do it. I did say I'll follow your decisions all throughout and I don’t go back on my words. Hongjoong: Also, you know that we’ll be adding narration right? Minyoung: Ah no. I’ll go along with your rap request but I won’t do the narration. Hongjoong: Why? It’s in English and you’re our native English speaker. Minyoung: It’s because I’ll most likely laugh if I do it besides don’t you think having the leader do it would paint a better picture? Like you’re leading ATEEZ into a revolution. Hongjoong: *convinced* Oh you have a point there. Alright. Thanks bun. Come record your parts tomorrow and bring Seonghwa with you. Minyoung: Mhm. I'll come with Seonghwa-oppa. Fighting Joong-oppa! I’m hanging up. Bye bye~

“Let’s do it from the start.” The choregrapher called out as he counted out loud while the members dance. San laughing after they finished a part.

[Main dancer losing his mind]

Nodding, the choreographer clapped and called out “Okay let’s try the second part”

"Let me catch my breath first." San asked the choreographer

“We’re not going to jump. We’re not using our steps.” as they run through their dance routine only to find out the choreographer is doing the footwork while all the members laughed

"It's what we've been doing anyway. It's just the base footwork." the choreographer commented laughing when he saw the members' faces "Just roll your feet"

"I feel like I'm getting conned." Wooyoung laughed as he too was trying to catch a breath

Minyoung laughed as if she is losing her mind. "Why is this so difficult? This rolling is insane." before singing the song Rollin’ as she attempted the move again.

[Another one who is losing her mind.]

“I feel like we’ll all be sore after this stage.” Wooyoung remarked as the others laughed knowing that it’s going to happen.

“Where are we?” San asked as they walked into an establishment

“We’re here to practice for Kingdom.” Hongjoong answered as he explained what they need to do. They all agreed that it is important to try the action with one’s own body and Wooyoung pointed them to a place where they could practice those movements. The group went to a BB gun shooting place and played around.

“Ah. But won’t Minyoung have an advantage?” San grinned ready to tease the girl

“Why? What about me?” Minyoung asked tilting her head a bit.

“You’re small. You can hide behind almost everything here.” San got ready to block the girl’s slap laughing

“That would also mean Yunho-oppa is a great target though. Besides I can’t win if I stay cooped up in one place.” Minyoung shook her head slapping San’s arm “But rest assured. I’ll make sure to hunt for you oppa.”

“Everyone, aim for Yeosang.” Hongjoong reminded everyone of their goal today

“Okay.” “So it’s a 7 v 1 then.”

[It looks like they came here to have fun]

“But why are we aiming at Yeosang-oppa?” Minyoung asked as they shoot Yeosang who tried expressing how being shot by bullets felt like.

“<Rhythm Ta> is the title of the song right? We need to get the rhythm and enjoy the stage to the fullest. I think people will like it if we could perform while laughing and having fun like we did today” Hongjoong explained to everyone after the day of playing

The group went for their rehearsals with the props for a final time, everyone taking their places. San and Minyoung were together as they have to lead the last group dance together.

"What are you doing?" Minyoung could be heard asking San in the background as he was talking to the camera, then feeling embarrassed with his actions.

As Minyoung was practicing the dance for her solo part, she limped slightly when trying to change positions, the staff asked her if she's doing okay. "I am! I don't think it'll affect my performance during the show, I just have my knee wrapped as extra protection."

"She hurt herself during one of our rehearsals. It's nothing serious but to be safe, she was told not to strain too much." San explained for Minyoung who returned back to practicing her routine

[The choreography as expected is intense for all the members but she continues to practice despite the injury]

Noticing the camera focusing on her, she shared what was on her mind "More than this, I'm more nervous rapping in front of the seniors live. I’m worried that people wouldn’t take to well to me rapping and I'm especially scared that iKON sunbaenim might not like it. But I have to do it, I just need to do my part well since everyone else would surely kill theirs."

[The pressure must be heavy for the 22-year old girl to face but she continues on with a smile]

As the staff asked if they could win, San confidently answered “Win? If we do what we have to do properly, if we show what we got, I think it’s possible.”

“There was some pressure but I think we could prepare it with energy solely because we ranked high.” Jongho confessed during the group interviews.

“Right. I feel like we could prepare for the stage and just purely enjoy the process because the pressure isn’t as bad as before.” Minyoung said chiming in

“We were preparing for the next round energetically because we want to achieve another good result this round.” Jongho concluded

“I’m most curious about iKON-sunbaenim’s reactions” Hongjoong piped in making Yunho nod adding in “If we’re acknowledged by them, we already succeded a bit.”

“As we won first place in the previous round, we should show a performance fit for that title. That’s what we kept on thinking.” Hongjoong smiled as the other members nodded in agreement.

“A performance fit for the winners?” San asked

“We should meet their expectations.” Hongjoong nodded

“Shouldn’t we go above their expectations?” Minyoung asked making the whole group laugh as they end the interview.

"There were a lot of new things we tried for this performance. San doing b-boying and Minyoung would have more active parts in the choreography. You also have to look forward to her rap too." Hongjoong answered confidently smiling during the interview for Round 2.

When the music played ATEEZ’s version of Rhythm Ta, Minyoung felt adrenaline pump through her body as she felt herself suddenly no longer nervous, just excited. 

Everyone was surprised to hear her voice whispering their opening and even more when she rapped the pre-verse after Seonghwa's lines.

BTOB Eunkwang: She also raps? She’s insane! Didn’t she do the high note last round? BTOB Minhyuk: Right. Isn’t she a vocal?

SF9 Chani: She’s going all out, huh. *chuckle* 

Minyoung took center position for the first chorus as she sang “igeon gunyang noraeniggan rhythm ta” the cameras closing in, focused on her facial expressions before panning out to their group dance.

Stray Kids Han: *excited shout* Minyoung-ah! iKON Yunhyeong: She’s an all-rounder. SF9 Dawon: What’s scary is her facial expressions. How is she this good? It’s completely different from her usual aura SF9 Inseong: She’s an actress. But I agree, her facial expressions are fascinating. All of them do but she’s standing out in this performance.

As Hongjoong finished the Money Heist speech, Minyoung and Jongho sang together for the bridge with Minyoung supporting his high note before the dance booster where San lead the dance. For the ending, Minyoung once again took center position before doing a high kick in time for the last beat and smirking at the camera as the music fades to the intro of their Round 1 performance.

THE BOYZ Hyunjae: Minyoung is crazy. Pick one thing to be good at! Goodness.

SF9 Chani: *claps, standing up* SF9 Inseong: Minyoung-ie looked impressive during that last bit

Stray Kids Han: That's my friend right there! *laughs* Stray Kids Changbin: *laughs* You sound like you’re a proud parents 

iKON DK: They killed the stage. Like how we made our own from their song, they also created their own Rhythm Ta.

BTOB Eunkwang: They really made it their song. It was totally ATEEZ’ song.

 ATEEZ bowed and thanked the backup dancers and the staff after their performance, all smiling as they all thought they did perfectly.

Minyoung now feeling the high from their performance settle down a bit, finally felt the pain in her knee. Yunho noticing that’s she is having a hard time walking, crouched down in front of her. "Let's go and no, it's either you get on my back or I carry you over my shoulder Young-ah." knowing she'd refuse.

Sighing, she went on his back getting carried to the backstage to get their microphones taken out and treat Minyoung.

"Did you hurt it again?" San asked approaching the two with Jongho beside him, still trying to catch his breath.

"Same old. I just feel a numb pain but nothing too serious." Minyoung smiled trying to reassure the members that managed to gather around her and their manager who gave her a cold pack for her knee.

"If it's too much, sit out the rest of the filming-" Hongjoong started to say but the girl quickly rejected the idea

"No! I want to watch the rest of the stages too." Minyoung pouted trying to win over their leader with aegyo

Laughing, Wooyoung patted Minyoung's back lightly. "Okay case closed. Minyoung is staying for the performances. Hongjoong-hyung can never resist Minyoung when she does that."

"Fine. But you have to get that checked after the shoot and you have to tell us immediately if it gets too painful." Hongjoong sighed knowing how stubborn Minyoung could get when she wants something.

(BTOB’s stage)

“Okay. Another stage that I’m looking forward to. When Stray Kids picked BTOB-sunbaenim, I was already thinking of what songs could match well with them.” Minyoung stated as she made herself comfortable in her seat, playing with the wheeled chair a bit.

“Since <God’s Menu> was already performed last round, they probably won’t pick that.” Seonghwa laughed as he watched as the girl roll around her chair using her good leg

“What if it was <Hellevator> or <Double Knot>? That would be really cool!” Minyoung exclaimed clapping her hands “They could go for a complete 180 of the song. Imagine that.”

Hongjoong laughed at her excitement as Wooyoung grinned “Yeosang-ah, you and Jongho should probably get your ears ready if she squeals.”

“A bit too late for that warning.” Jongho laughed as Minyoung lightly punched his arm in protest

As BTOB started their stage, the camera was focused on the floor label ‘Stage 1’. Minyoung pointed at the screen. “It looks like a backstage..Omo! Are they going to perform <Back Door>?”

“Oh! <Back Door> <Back Door> <Back Door> <Back Door>” Yunho exclaimed excitedly with Wooyoung when Eunkwang pretended to warm up his vocals for their performance

“This is totally rock. The style actually suits Changsub-sunbaenim a bit.” Minyoung noted as Changsub opened the song with his verse “How does he go high that easily?”

Yeosang looked at the girl chuckling “You also go up that high. You and Jongho do that easily.” to which Minyoung deadpanned “Maybe Jongho but for me, I die whenever there’s a high note in my part.” at this answer all members of ATEEZ shook their heads, disagreeing with her but decided not to say anything and just focus on the performance.

“Wow! Crazy!” Wooyoung had his mouth open during the high note while Seonghwa could be visibly scene having the time of his life at the side

“Omo!” Minyoung let out a light squeal when Minhyuk came into the screen in his robe. Seonghwa suddenly switching from a fanboy mode to a protective mode and trying to block Minyoung’s view.

“What’s with everyone showing off their physique? We cannot win that!” Wooyoung laughed

“Peniel-sunbaenim’s rap is a bit…provocative?” Minyoung mumbled as she nod along to the music. “I guess they changed the theme quite a bit.”

“Oh! They’re finally going up the stage.” Jongho pointed out as the group walked out to what looks like a concert stage

“I want to go there too! I’ll be a backup dancer for them and just vibe up the stage.” Minyoung pointed at the screen copying the movements of the backup dancers

“Omo. Here it goes. Here it goes. BTOB-sunbaenim’s harmonies” Minyoung clapped excitedly as both Changsub and Eunkwang harmonize.

The rest of the stage was spent by the whole of ATEEZ just being the fans that they are, raising their hands up and down just like the dancers on stage. Most of them had their mouths wide-open as they’re amazed by the whole performance brought by BTOB until Minhyuk ripped his shirt off prompting Minyoung’s surprised gasp and Seonghwa’s frantic hand going to cover Minyoung’s eyes.

Wooyoung laughed at the two of them. “They’re at it again.” Seonghwa trying to cover Minyoung’s view while Minyoung trying to remove Seonghwa’s hand while laughing.

“<I’ll be your Man>? This is song is so high though! I wonder how they changed it up. Also, Stray Kids’ openings for both of these rounds sounds so..” Minyoung paused trying to think of the word “you know the feeling you get during horror movies when they suddenly turn down the music?”

“Eerie? Mysterious? Creepy?” Hongjoong listed words that the girl could be thinking of.

“Eerie. That one. It feels so eerie but like you’re anticipating something but the general tone is just so solemn or something.” Minyoung commented as she watched Seungmin’s part in the opening.

“Han Jisung aye~” Minyoung smiled as Jisung did vocal parts right after Seungmin.

“So is this the part of Kingdom where the rapper sings and vocals rap?” Hongjoong chuckled glancing at Minyoung “You rapped today when you’re usually vocals then Han sings when he usually raps.”

“Minhyuk-sunbaenim did it first on this show though and Jisung has been doing vocals parts in their songs too.” Minyoung shook her head as she pointed it out to her leader

“You should give her more parts is what I’m hearing right now.” Jongho laughed, shaking his head before returning back his focus on the performance.

“it’s a difficult song. This one.” Yunho pointed out looking forward to the stage

When the screen changed, Minyoung got startled and jumped a bit in her seat as Changbin’s rap section started. “Changbin-sunbaenim’s parts always sounds so heavy. Oh but I meant it in a good way.”

Minyoung gasped with her eyes wide when Changbin fell from the platform. “Omo!” Wooyoung who was sat at the end grinned, proud of his friend. “My friend.” making Yunho laugh at him as Hongjoong praises Changbin for his rap.

“The kid disappeared!” Minyoung exclaimed making Yeosang chuckle at her. “Are they like dead? Is that why the dancers are wearing white? What is happening?”

“He’s gone!” “Where did he go?” both Wooyoung and Yunho gasped and spoke at the same time

As soon as Han took center and sang the chorus, Minyoung clapped excitedly in her seat. “Go get it! Let’s go!” then during Felix’s parts Minyoung couldn’t help but point at the screen shouting his name “Felix! Yes, go make use of your deep voice and dig deep underground.” as all of ATEEZ let out a sound in awe.

“Wait why are there axes and spears? Omo! They’re dragging him..I did say to dig deep but..” Minyoung gasped in realization “Omo! Is he like a devil?”

Noticing the backup dancers, Minyoung mumbled under her breath “So are all backup dancers in JYP this fit? It’s like they all have toned bodies.” Yeosang who was seating next to her let out a laugh, getting the attention of the rest of the members as he waved them off indicating he’ll tell them later.

“Is that blood? Are they going to summon Felix?!” Minyoung incredibly invested at the performance would have scooted closer to the screen if not for Jongho who was holding her chair back. “What is this? Did they sacrifice the kid? Or are they trying to save the kid?”

If Minyoung was excited during the first part of the performance, imagine that being doubled when both Seungmin and Han did the high notes. She was practically beaming, proud of her friends her attention on them before noticing the heavy rapping of Changbin in the background when Wooyoung pointed it out.

“I got goosebumps” Seonghwa confessed as Wooyoung exclaimed “Changbin, he’s super cool!”

“Our I.N-ie!” Minyoung raised her hands up high when Jeongin did the last bit of the chorus. “Oh! I’ve got goosebumps.” Jongho noted as the performance ended.

“So did they like sacrifice their blood to summon Felix and then save the baby?” Minyoung asked still a bit lost

“I think so. The statue seems to represent the kid in the beginning then they gave it a heart to save him.” Hongjoong nodded clapping for the last performance of the day.

“So did they save the kid? Or was the kid a ghost? I need answers!” Minyoung pouted as Yeosang chuckled and patted her back. “I believe it’ll be up to the interpretation of the audience.”

After everyone has performed, Minyoung laughed to herself gaining the attention of the rest of the members. “What’s funny?” Hongjoong asked her

"Should I just take it off too? Everyone ripped their shirts off and stuff." Minyoung asked patting her jacket, shocking the other members making them jump from their seat and yell out "No!" in unison. Minyoung laughed surprised at how loud they got.

"Why would you want to do that?" Seonghwa asked frowning a bit, trying to think up a reason to discourage whatever idea is on her mind.

"I don't want to hear that from you and San-oppa. You exhibitionists." Minyoung countered jokingly making Jongho and Wooyoung laugh. "It's not like I'll actually go topless that’ll be real bad. Maybe wear something sexy. I've already tried it during <HALA HALA> and <THANXX>...kind of? anyway, so it's not like it's anything new."

"After all this time? Why?" Yeosang asked curiously as there were lots of time when fan would question her stage outfits. She would always get something that doesn’t show that much skin, take her stage outfit for today. She has layers of clothing which worked in favor for the group since they won’t need to be on the look-out too much for ill-intentioned people. After that incident during their <Wave> promotions, everyone took turns on sticking by Minyoung’s side to avoid another incident.

"I mean everyone's been ripping their shirts off or showing of their physique and by everyone I mean including the backup dancers. They look good by the way.” Minyoung reasoned, taking her phone out already looking at potential outfits.

Jongho laughed as he patted Minyoung's back "Your image. Try to protect your image, you fangirl." making Minyoung laugh shrugging

"A bit too late for that Jongho. I'm pretty sure Atiny already knows that I have my fangirl moments. Besides, when could I ever enjoy myself like this other than off stage? I’ve had my fun with hair colors so maybe I could have fun with outfits as well."

"Why not her do what she wants? Better to agree and decide with her rather than her surprising us about it." Yeosang shrugged, chuckling when Minyoung raised her thumbs up exclaiming "You know me too well oppa"

"If you're comfortable with it...it’s not like we can completely stop you from doing what you want " Hongjoong sighed in resignation, patting Minyoung's head. He would have ruffled her hair if not for the thousand pins on your hair.

"Young lady, I am going to make sure it isn't scandalous. You better let me see the outfit first." Seonghwa wagged a finger trying to look threatening but only making Minyoung laugh and agree. "Like I said, you and San-oppa are the last ones I'll want to hear those words from. Well especially San-oppa. His clothes keep getting lesser and lesser." cracking up everyone

Oh Sunni darling Sunni how i love you. First off, note that when I went on my rb spree after watching the last movie, i looked for Dafoe gifset especially, because I adore his character but also as a nudge nudge will Sunni? Imma rb them again once I've posted this.

Vague spoilers ahead for the basics of each movie.

So basically, John = was the very best of them all assassins, like, bedtime story for baby assassins who've been naughty. retired bc he became a tadam husband to his wife he loves dearly. life is a bitch, wifey dies of illness. john broken. A LITTLE PUPPY DETS DELIVERED TO HIS DOOR! turns out wifey arranged for it knowing he'd need something to keep going on.

As you know, dog gets killed. bad things* ensues. (*bad things = vengeance. but no! i'm not getting out of retirement, just, vengeance.) The movies are hysterically funny to me because they are GOLD at stating that John Wick truly is fucking feared among his peers, everyone is scared shitless when they hear "X killed John's dog, we're fucked" "But we're 56 and he's 1!" "nah we're fucked"

Second film is "oh I heard you're out of retirement turns out you owe me the big one assassin favour the moral code forces you to return" "but i don't want to i was just avenging MY PUPPY" "yes but you have to" it's peak "don't make me do this you're gonna regret it" Also featuring characters I adore, in Gianna d'Antonio and her friend/bodyguard Cassian, that i hc as John "assassin childhood/school friends" because I can.

Third movie is "the one climax from the 2nd movie is the capital assassin offence, no everyone is after you, try to get out of this one" and he does try. it's one big chase featuring yet again people fanboying over John Wick.

Out of the three movies, the first is the most balanced out one, like there is nothing bad to say about this movie it's a fucking banger. The second one's flaw is that it wants to make a second movie so one plot point seems a bit blind to me, but other than that, very funny and OH so pleasing, like there is a not to Enter the Dragon's mirror scene, like a whole fighting scene is in a museum and it's incredible, featuring a deaf character speaking ASL. The third one's flaw is that it's a chase; if you don't mind that it's ok, but it never stops so it's sometimes a bit tiring bc boom boom noises and lights.

The movies are GOLDEN, for who likes me loves action and figth scenes, those are incredibly choregraphed (not surprising from Chad Stahelski aka stuntman, stunt coordinator on Matrix, stunt for Reeves in Matrix, double for Brandon Lee in The Crow 😉).

There are some great characters (i'm getting there), with notably the Receptionist of the Hotel (hotel = big assassin lore point, it's a hotel franchise for assassins, where you pay with assassincoins, and it's "sacred ground" ie = when you're there, no business. everyone is your colleague, it's basically saying PAUSE from the assassin game), but also the barwoman that i adore, the director of the Hotel, Winston, Aurelio the mecanic who's my baby, AND

Marcus (Dafoe). Marcus is a character in the first movie. We don't know much about him (as for basically every character in the franchise : the show don't tell is excellent), beside the fact that he's an old friend/colleague of John. What i'm gonna say next is spoilery for the first movie but I guess you're here for that. We first see him attending from afar John's wifey funeral, and at the end coming to greet warmly John. Then in the first movie, someone puts a contract on John's head, an open one, but the sponsor also asks Marcus personnally bc he's one of the "old" generation, one who survived because he's one of the best. There's an exchange around "no problem killing your old buddy" "for 3M nah" and then he chases John all through the movie. And every time he points his sniper at him, someone is already there to try and kill him, so Marcus either kills the first killer or disturb the scene so that nobody else kills him. Throughout the movie we gather that he's not having an ego trip of "i want it to be ME who kills him" but rather that he accepted because he's a sniper and he just... towers bloody guardian angel John. We don't know why except for the fact that they were old friends, but what transpires is really some warm empathy/compassion/feeling sorry for him and wanting the best for him.

So i guess i just wanted some more content for their friendship but shipping them a way or another in their youth, i'm here for it. comet partners as for my own hc, but to each their own you know. They are so well paired and the movies are just so well directed, i swear, all the characters you can feel that they're not thinly written. THAT'S IT FOR THE BLORBOS and other SCRUNGLOS feel free to ask it's my current brain goes brrrrrrrrrrrrr.

This is so interesting, thank you !! Also I'm French and I've heard a lot about Fort Boyard without watching so I had no idea the themes were so similar, but given the amount of references and Easter eggs in Miraculous, I wouldn't be surprised if it were a conscious nod !

Would you do a comparative analysis of Marinette's and Adrien's different transformations please please please ? (And possibly between Aspik and Viperion's transformation ?) 🙏

Ok, so, this is going to be long. I will limit the screen capture, but I’ll put down link to any transformation I am referencing.

Ladybug | Lady Noire | Multi Mouse

Alright, so let’s begin with Marinette’s most common transformation : Ladybug!

At the beginning, we see the camera framing Marinette at a normal angle before the character up herself up, thus offering us a subtle low angle shot. 

Low angles serve usually to give the impression the character is bigger, superior. And Marinette is no exception. Once Tikki has entered her Miraculous, Marinette is elevated. She is becoming a superhero. Her hair and clothers are being blown just like a cape blown by the wind. It’s a dramatization effect. The wind may not make sense, but it adds some flair and epicness. 

Next is the mask. Mostly because I want to compare Marinette’s first transformation vs the one she now has. 

During her very transformation in Origins, LB’s mask appears on its own as well as the rest of her costume, without doing any movement or big choregraphy. It showed Marinette as being passive. The transformation sequence there reflected how much Marinette was taken aback by all of this and didn’t know what she had to do then. 

After her Origin’s though, after finding her resolve to help, Marinette knows what to do when there is a problem and will act. And this is what her -- or any other Holder really --  do by moving around to trigger their costume appearance. They don’t need to, but it communicates to us they are putting the mask on in order to do something about the situation at hand.

After that, the rest of Ladybug’s transformation sequence is inpired by gymnatics. So, while the show never showed Marinette having gymnastic class, this could be part of her past, that she has taking gymnastic lessons before. It also constrast with the clumsy Marinette, showing us instead that as Ladybug, she is elegant, in control of her movement before finishing with a powerful pose. 

Speaking of gymnastics...

Multi Mouse’s transformation is fully inspired by it. The vfx are even shaped like ribbons themselves

Marinette’s pose at the beginning says action, but at the same time, instead of elevating herself, she bows down. Discretion is the word. And it was her goal when she put on the Mouse Miraculous. She will be making herself small and go under the radar. And during the tranformation, at one point, she goes completely off-screen as if she was evading it.

Honestly, I am curious to see and compare with Mylène’s when we will finally see it. 

As for her Lady Noire’s transformation, it’s very much inspired by Chat Noir’s very own sequence. The Miraculous being raised up high above the head before the transformation begins, making her mask appear with one hand swipe. Her feet are grounded instead of giving the impression she is floating. The fury swipes at the end. So yeah, overall, inspired by Chat Noir, but her attitude feels a bit more feral to me, has a more raw energy to it. There is one moment that is varie a lot though. And it is when she puts the ears on.

Adrien in comparaison has a close up on the top of the head only. With Marinette though, we see her whole head, and she is like sighing of relief. Considering she said later the Chat Noir’s costume was lighter on the shoulder, this could be why. She doesn’t have as much responsabilities to handle as Lady Noire than as Ladybug. 

All right, that’s all I had to say about Marinette’s transformation. Let’s now take a look at Adrien’s.

Chat Noir | Mister Bug | Aspik

Adrien’s transformation sequence starts with a very dynamic shot, as if he is punching something (or breaking the walls that surround him).  He also has his other fist in the air, ready for action.

Once that done, he takes a pose, showing off, being dramatic, extravagant.

Before lifting his hand high above his head while keeping his head low. Interestingly enough, Lady Noire do the opposite. She looks upwards. 

So, Adrien tries to be confident, but appears also humbled down? This is also done to contrast with Ladybug.

Also, I remember the 2D pv had transformation sequence already (back when it was Félix) and this very composition was present back in the day. In other words, this little segment of their respective transformation was meant to represent the yin and the yang. 

As for the rest of Chat Noir’s transformation, no much comment. Him doing a fury swipes as well as his final pose as always strike me as him going into character. My hero theme is a cat? Alright, I’ll do a cat-like pose because I think it would be cool. And I know I am writing this after Lies, but even before that episode and the scene at the art club, Adrien likes to be able to goof around. So he jokes, he acts like a cat. It’s a way to express himself as well as an exploration of himself as he is unable to do so with the expection on him as a civilian. 

Next, his Mister Bug’s transformation. 

Just like Lady Noire takes a lot of inspirations from Chat Noir’s sequence, Mister Bug takes inspiration from Ladybug’s. But there are still some aspect that are still Chat Noir’s. Like the raised fist.

In fact, his sequence is very combative compared to Ladybug’s. The choregraph gymnatic sequence is replaced by a series of kicks. Though, I think the goal was to show boys can be Ladybug too if they want and this was a way to appeal to them. Still, this might be also our first clue about how Chat Noir is transposing himself in Ladybug’s role. He shows close combat move while the Ladybug Miraculous power isn’t optimal for close combat. We don’t even get a yoyo shot like it is the case with LB. 

Finaly, Aspik’s.

The beginning is pretty similar to his Chat Noir’s transformation, but more... contrived? Less expressive? Tuned down? I dunno how to qualify it. I also love how we can still see his ring, but he is putting it behind him. Like how he is leaving his Chat Noir’s role behind in order to become Aspik. Because this is what he did during Desparada. He abandoned to be Chat Noir so he could be fitting (and flirting) with Ladybug as Adrien.

The last element is the lyre weapon. It appears only at the end of Aspik’s transformation, but Aspik doesn’t interact with the instrument at all. Because Adrien cannot play that instrument. And funnily enough, when it is Luka who holds the Snake Miraculous and transform into Viperion, the lyre is precisely the first thing that Luka appears and interacts with it to make the rest of his costume appears.

All that to show that Ladybug didn’t choose the right person for the Snake Miraculous during Desperada.

Why yes RT, now that team RWBY are FINALLY fighting Cinder, I totally want you to spend the finale having Winter fight Ironwood/Qrow and Robyn fighting Harriet and Vine. Why would anyone want a show where the main characters fight the actual villains of the series?

Ngl, as much as I wanted and expected a significant moment between Ironwood and Winter, it’s weird that the episode sets them up to have the final battle. I don’t mind getting a couple of battles of varying importance for the finale  — variety is nice  — but it’s a problem that the show keeps giving the big fights to our non-title characters. I mean, let’s break this down: 

Our B team, which includes only Yang, is the one who gets the Hound-Oscar conflict for the majority of the volume. They’re the ones who fight Salem. Ruby’s team mostly hangs out in the mansion. 

An entire volume sets up the moral conflict between Ruby and Ironwood, only for that to be dropped in favor of Qrow’s revenge quest. Okay, at least that has a volume’s worth of setup, however stupid. Except that’s (currently) dropped thanks to a single line from Robyn telling him he’s better than this. Maybe Qrow will fight Ironwood, maybe not. Right now, he’s fighting Harriet. 

Salem, as the primary villain of the volume, is taken out with a weapon no one knew about so that Ironwood could take her place. Except then, instead of having Ruby and her team fight Ironwood, the B team again takes him on while she helps Penny. This fight, while well choregraphed imo, is short, contains no dialogue, and the finishing move is given to Winter, someone who somehow watched Ironwood kill a man and didn’t think anything of it until the plot needed her to turn on him. 

Ironwood escapes by convenience. Or he’s let out by Watts. We don’t know which or, if it’s the latter, why Watts would do that. Either way, the show sets up another fight between him and Winter even though, as the main antagonist now, and as the man set against Ruby since last volume, he should be fighting our heroes. 

Instead, the heroes are focused on fighting Cinder. I admit fully that she did well last episode and this conflict would have been great a few volumes back, but she’s still a joke villain. She, by Watts’ own declaration, is the failure who hasn’t managed to snag a win since Volume 3 and one of the characters with a personal reason to want her dead —  Jaune — is absent because he’s playing crossing guard again. Except our group doesn’t even fight her much. Neo gets the kill. Neo gets Ruby’s attention. Cinder fights Penny and Weiss while Blake is torn between helping and seeking revenge. Meanwhile, the others are now dealing with a totally new set of grimm in a new kingdom because the army + geyser + whale produced grimm + those drawn from the Atlas wilderness weren’t enough of a threat for the volume’s finale? 

It’s all over the place. The most Ruby has done this volume is kill the Hound which, as I’ve mentioned, was less of a fight and more of a sudden decision to use her insta-kill power. There’s a reason why many in the fandom are asking questions like, “Why is Oscar our main character now?” or “Why is Ironwood the villain when Salem is right outside?” or “Why am I watching a fight between these side characters when the main action is going on elsewhere?” Something I didn’t mention in the recap, but that stood out to me upon first watching, is that our cliffhanger is this: 

Side character Ren, newly-minted hero Emerald, and suddenly main character Oscar defending background civilians against generic grimm... not the scene where one of our title characters supposedly dies. Personally, I enjoy moments like this because I love Oscar and have been asking for more content with him for years, but from a writing standpoint I have to acknowledge that it’s all kind of broken. We should not be expected to care about Emerald fighting a random grimm, or Qrow fighting side-character Harriet, or Ironwood and Winter having their second fight when one of our main characters presumably just died, the others are in mortal danger, and one is seeking revenge. That RWBY is setting up the finale with this image rather than the presumed death of Yang shows how wonky the priorities are. And the challenge is these aren’t problems RWBY can easily fix now. They’ve gone on too long and now they’re backed into a corner. If you don’t provide these scenes then the audience (rightly) wants to know why we’re ignoring all these other characters. The cast is way too bloated and, in an effort to keep them important to the story, major beats are given to them rather than our protagonists. Like Emerald landing the first, dramatic hit on Ironwood. Does she even know who Ironwood is outside of generic, cultural knowledge? Emerald was never a part of this journey, moving from Ironwood as an ally to Ironwood as a enemy, so to reduce the start of that fight to her “This feels weird” moment and the end of it to Winter’s decision to stand against him that she made, like, an hour ago is narratively unsatisfying. RWBY has too much going on, too many characters, and doesn’t know how to divvy up the action. And when there’s no action these characters literally just sit around until new plot happens: in a mansion or in a jail cell. If RWBY were actually about Team RWBY then the writers would be much better able to keep them centered within the conflicts. Instead Oscar blows up Salem and the whale, Winter fights Ironwood, Penny fights Cinder (for the second time this volume), and Ren fights the new grimm threat. Our title team is left playing support to Penny (Weiss), taking on the side villain (Ruby), torn between these two options (Blake), or lost to a void (Yang). Fine for a middle episode? Yeah. The setup for our finale? Hmm.

Undercover (JTBC)

Not many people are talking about this hidden gem so here I am, letting it out that it’s one hell of a drama.

I love how the younger versions of the main couple look so similar, especially Kim Hyun Joo and Sun Hwa. Ji Jin Hee has got not-so-asian facial bones that’s hard to find in other Korean actors but still Yeon Woo Jin carries the exact same vibes of being the nice guy. 

The actor who is playing their son, Yoo Seon Ho, is doing a brilliant job, with the high pitched voice and unstable eye movements. He is such a cutie IRl, though.

I am loving the office dynamic as well in the otherwise super tense CIO, the guy (Choi Dae Chul) who keeps snacking all the time, is slowly opening up to all the other warmhearted people in her core team, is such a delight. The potential office-couple of Bae Yoon Kyoung and  Kang Young Seok is adorable too. Their cute bickering is always feel like a fresh air. Someone please give Kang Young Seok a bigger role, his adorable dimples are such a waste for these tiny roles. 

The OST WHERE ARE YOU by Katie Kim, is a bomb too. The editing is quite top-notch, and they insert the OST always at the perfect times. It just gives you goosebumps when it goes:

I must’ve mistaken my best decision was just keeping lies behind a door, I used to believe my lie was perfect, until it was not.

Ji Jin Hee just keeps getting better like a fine wine, no doubt about that. It breaks your heart so much that he has to pay a huge price for his one lie. He had to put on a smile when his father was dying alone. The sweet family he protected with all his love and care, that is nothing but goals, is actually founded on a lie is devastating. and I love this thing about this drama. The corruption, politics, nasty NIS people and everything else does not matter at one point but this cute little family. 

His actions scenes are done so well, there is not a single movement that seem like, “Are you kidding me? He isn’t a superhero.” Every move is so well choregraphed, given his age and his background as an NIS agent. But still so realistic, he does slow down, he does get hurt and bleed. 

I am just not satisfied with how they are writing scenarios around Choi Yeon Soo, as the CIO Director. She was a pretty smart lawyer and suddenly after becoming the Director every move of hers is falling flat. I understand these are much bigger people and motives she is fighting against but still, I would like to see her win, on her own. With no assistance from her husband. Show us that badass bitch energy. 

Lastly, I hate that old NIS Director. He is either eating with nasty people, planning his next cunning move or recklessly beating around his underlings. I was fuming in anger when they showed how he slapped the female agent. I can’t wait for him to go down. His fake patriotism is so toxic that even it you are not Korean, you keep scoffing every time he says, “For the sake of this country”. Bitch, please.

What is going on today? She fell once but when I picked her up has soon as I let go, she fell again every time.  Couple weeks ago, we were swimming and a little boy was drowning she rescued him from the lake. Even since then her back and legs have been bothering her. She just finally told us a couple days ago that her back and legs haven’t been feeling right since then. We all get to the hospital Mike make sure the room is big enough for all of us to be in. The ER doctor I had the other two time I came in took me since he already knew me. Mike showed him the video. Doctor if you give her pain meds make sure to give her nausea med or she will be sick. I know from the past little w says. 

She rescued a little boy who was drowning a couple weeks ago, and she just told us a couple days ago her back and legs have been feeling funny to her. What do you mean remember when we got back land therapy, I told all of you that Ann started complaining about right leg at therapy after she did that one stretch?  When the second physical therapist got involved, he tells us land therapy would do more damage what if this started after that therapy appointment and it has just gotten worse since then? Ann honey please don’t cry everything is going to be alright. He ordered an MRI to see what was going on. They gave me a lot of different med to help with the pain. When I went for my MRI Fred, Jin, Yoongi, little w and Big W all went with me. Two hour later after my MRI was done, they came back in with more meds and said yes, they are necessary to give them to her doctor orders. The doctor will be in momently to tell you what is going on. Thank you and your welcome.  The doctor comes in looks at me and goes Ann I don’t know how to tell you this.

 We are all family here doctor you can say everything in front of them I said. Ann the disc at the L4-L5 it is not just bulging anymore it is also herniated at the same time. Okay doctor what does that mean now. You are losing use of your legs Ann. You are going to need surgery to repair it and I don’t know if all the damage will you repair the itself. Until you see a neurosurgeon you are going to have to be in a wheelchair. I start crying this can’t be happening to me. Mike goes thank you doctor and before we leave can I ask a favor from you. We just learn that Ann might be my biological child can we get a DNA test done here and get the result before we leave. Yes, I can do that myself without asking a nurse to do it? 

Doctor swab my mouth puts in a sample contain and he goes over to Mike does the same thing. It will take about 30 minutes to be done. I was going to let Ann rest and check on her in 30 minutes to she where her pain level is. The result is in but first Ann where is your pain level about 5 good. I will be sending you home with stronger pain med and nausea meds also. Mike you are her biological dad thank you so much. Can I take my daughter home now?  Yes, because we don’t have any neurosurgeon here. You are going to have to find one. Okay we will do that. Here is your discharge paperwork both prescriptions and test result paperwork yes thank you. 

We are ordering you a wheelchair where can we send it to. This is my company address please it there. Okay everyone let’s go home. Once we get to the cars here you are judge the DNA results. I am glad it turned out that Ann is your daughter so am I. Okay guys I know everyone wants to be by Ann right now no actually we were going to let you sit down first and put Ann in your arms so you could hold your daughter. _ The worldbuilding has been fucked up just to respond to Rian’s whims when he have barely any explications about the context.

_ Fucking bad designs everywhere. 

_Boring cinematography except a few times. 

_ The fucking zooms-in and Kylo looking like he’s stuck in a washing machines when he barrels rolls around the TIE Silencer. 

_ The FO is suddendly overpowered with money and personnal. The loss of SKB has like no impact on the organization. This episode should have explored to their backstory but Rian simply didn’t care.

_ Everybody in this movie shut off their brains. 

_ Hux went from “officer didn’t had not much battle experience” to a total joke. His traumas due to his upbringing are ignored and his sufferings are reduced into supposed moments of comedy .And it’s not like Rian didn’t knows his past, he even gave him a first name. Hell he didn’ even bother explain Hux’s past to Domhnall and he discovered that his character had a first name when an interviewer asked him about it (Domnhall seemed pretty angry about it since he invest himself a lot in reserches and stuff for the characters he plays.) Knowing how Domhnall had to improvise the blaster scene, i’m sure he would have objected even more of Rian’s decisions.  His purpose half of the movie is to do Huxposition on the bridge, being totally incompetent and thrown around. It’s gonna be hard for JJ to repair this and have the audience take him seriously as a villain. 

 _ Poe, well, I never cared much about his character. I even tried to read the comics but I felt barely nothing about him. But I was hoping TLJ would help but instead they managed to makes me hate his character. The Poe/Holdo arc was badly written. There was many ways to make an arc like that make sense but also more emotionnal for these two characters. I hate how one second they makes him this macho man who keeps understimating lady officers but a second after, the female characters are “haha, I like him ;)”   Yeah sure. 

_Finn’s arc who is reduced as total coward and a joke and where war has to be explained to him (a fucking child-soldier) by a woman that constantly think about hurting him when he mentions Rey, the person he is close to the most and then is forced as a potential love-interest to him for some reasons. The DJ explanations are just bad (of course, the Resistance has to buy weapons. We knows that Rian, thx) The suicide run was also pretty stupid. Also the fact that him and Rey didn’t reuniting on the Supremacy screams so much Rian wanting them to interact as less as possible in the movie. Finn deserves better.

_ Rey’s arc. Can we even talk about an arc? Her character regressed. As if she didn’t dealt with years of abuse and survival on Jakku and as if Kylo never tortured her and hurt her closed ones. Hell she even get tortured twice in the space of two days because of Kylo. The Force-skype stuff feels so forced. Adam & Daisy only have good chemistry when their characters are set against each other. Rey talks about how she is scared of the Force within her but we see her then has no problem to deal with it and master everything in one second (rendering the existence of jedi school pretty useless like you just have to download the Force-powers of a master jedi and that’s it. The Force.exe is installed. ) The small training scene where she cut the rock looks pretty stupid, her sword fighting position is pretty bad during it. Going to the dark side has no consequences on her. She has no agency. Replace the word “Force” by the plot and you’ll see what I mean. 

_ Luke. Has someone who has to deal with depression, I think showing Luke as irritated and stuff can makes sense. I kinda relate since my temper changed a lot. I had a lot of patience & kindness but now, everything irritate me (from a member of my family intruding in my space to hearing the ringing of the phone) I’m scared to see my friends, I feel like a walking failure that I will never be satisfied about myself or will satisfy my parents, I just want to be left alone & if this lead me to die that way, then so be it. The problem is how wonky the writing leading-up to this Luke is bad. Everything is about to make us feels sad for Kylo (I don’t). Kylo’s turning against his family upon learning that he is the grandson of one of the most dangerous war criminal would makes senses. Luke blaming himself because he felt he failed to help his nephew after years of work instead of randomly popping his lightsaber would have made more sense. Luke’s grieving all his others students would make more sense. Luke attempting to reason Kylo after the massacre but still failing would make sense. Luke looking for a solution on the island and then failing to find one, thus made him feel unable to see his sister face to face would makes more sense. There’s is barely any emotionnal moments for Luke and the Final holographic showdown feels like they absolutely wanted to avoid Kylo to kill Luke directly (like c’mon, he’s been committing war crimes since the first minutes of TFA)

_ Kylo. TLJ is a bad attempt at Kylo’s pity fest.It’s interesting that his traumas are acknowledged while the other character’s are pretty ignored despite having a tragic’s past that should impact them as well. Everything is about him. Most of his actions are pretty villainous, he’s no grey character like people are trying to force us to believe because he looks sad. This is an humanized villain arc (which he didn’t need after seeing TFA), not a redemption one. At least he is now the main villain too, so there’s tha (But the “Uwu save ben solo” stuff going around spoil my liking of him as a villain. I’m not here to see whether Kylo is gonna turn LS for a third time in ep9. It would be too repetitive at this point) I just hate the “ You are truely Han solo’s son”line because it is obvious he is more like his mother. Only father figures are important to the characters in SW, it seems. Also the goddamn scar being moved on his eyes but it doesn’t impair his vision despite being cut by a freaking lightsaber. Like Rian could have gave us a legit explanation why Kylo was weakened & needed Rey to fight the preoatarians guards: Losing an eye would be an huge handicap tha het is not used to yet so he needed help to take the throne. 

_ Leïa is only here to looks sad and for Kylo’s momentarily manpain (and Marry Poppying around space). Like really, you reduce Leïa fucking Organa too that?? The woman ready to move time and space just for the sake of saving freedom? the princess of Alderaan who saw her planet being destroyed but kept up on? the woman who was mainly in charge of the strategizing of Hoth’s evacuation? The woman who was willing to stay on Bespin just for the sake of massacring stormtroopers because Vader gave Han away to Boba Fett & would have stayed if Lando didn’t pulled her off to the Falcon? The woman who had to face the galactic backlash of her being Vader’s daughter but still kept on? A woman full of anger but also sense of duty?

_ Rose, rose, rose… I was excited to meet her so imagine my disappointment upon discovering she was just here to lecture & push around Finn & being forced as another love interest that doesn’t even work. It’s like she forgot that her sister died the same day and that she should still be grieving. We don’t even get to see her use her mechanic’s skills in the whole story. The message about her character makes no sense between her last line in tlj and all the destructions she is willing to provoke (not all the ppl working at Canto bight are rich, has it show in the Canto Bight book) or let happens. KMT doesn’t deserve that. 

_ Yoda’s appearing bcos I hate this hypocrite of a gremlin and was expecting for Luke to dunk him in the sea. 

_ Chewie, the glorified cab driver.

_ The battles are a huge clusterfuck & the most badly written space battle I have ever seen. 

_The way Poe’s piloting skills feels to OP when you compare to other pilots, in particular in recently RO. 

_D’qar’s battle is a fucking tactical mess. Everyone has been conviniently dumb down. Same during the slow-mo chase. What’s even the point of bringing the whole fleet of star destroyers if they are just useless.

_ Bad infiltration scene on the Supremacy on the same level as RO’s one. I’m just tired of infiltration scenes in SW. Please stop that shit. 

_ The preotarian guard fight is a choregraphic mess that has no stakes for the characters. Everyone is just waiting for their cue and twirling around. It’s like it was shooted in one go. And there is a difference between Luke in ROTJ kicking a blaster out of the hand of a foe looking bad due to technical problems of the time. And a knife suddendly being edited out at the last minute because the mc would have die then

_ Crait. A good example on how not taking in account the worldbuilding that could be used in battle. So you’re gonna tell me that the Resistance decided to hide away in a base with no issue other than big metallic door in the front? Sounds like a good plan.

_ Leïa never taking command of the battle and strategizing and letting Poe deal with all that despite that she is the general that Poe is a demoted member of the Navy who caused a shit-ton of mess among the Resistance like 30 minutes ago

_ Hux is still depicted in a idiotic way & using bad tactics again. If this is supposed to be a movie about the characters learning about their mistakes,well it didn’t do its job.

_ What is even the use of the third cannon of the gorrilla walkers??

_ What was even the point to use these old speeders besides for being destroyed?

_ Rey shooting down 3 TIES in one shot seems to break a lot of SW physics. Her disappearing of the whole fight shows how much Rian didn’t care abt her character beyond having her interact with Kylo.

_ Y’know, I have Battlefront 2 and in the game there is mining tunnels on the battlefield that you can use to hide. In the movie they are not present, the whole Resistance sit dumbly in trench and just wait to be massacred. I was hoping those tunnels would re-appear in the movies & would be used to sink the walkers by bringing them down with bomb used for mining but nope. The image of walkers falling in a sinkhole, provoking a storm of red dust, coloring the outfits,armors and vehicles in red would have been pretty badass to see.

_ The ramming canon trained on like 10 kilometers instead of using the gorrilla walkers designs and adding to them the mini death-stars canons. They can’t use it all the time tho bcos it would need to cool down before shooting again. Aren’t these supposed to be artillery vehicles ffs???

_ The Resistance not even rigging their escape ships with bombs so if the FO penetrated their base, they can at least cripple them by exploding them. So much for a group that is supposed to be specialized in guerrilla warfare.

_ Talking about guerrilla warfare, i was expecting at least a pursuit and firefight in the mines. No use of the worldbuilding during battle scenarios once again. 

_ Leïa should have been the one to confront Kylo, not Luke. Showing her willing to fight her own son and dies during it for the freedom of the galaxy would have been a good way to send her off and building her as this strong, resilient, legendary leader willing to fight her own family for the good cause. It would have been a good middle finger to people who slandered her upon learning she was Vader’s daughter.

Black Adam

This had been in the works for over ten years, with two near appearances in recent years until new directors stepped in and decided Black Adam wasn’t for their comic book movie adaptations.

Now with Jaume Collet-Serra as director and Dwayne Johnson donning the famous lighting bolt logo, the world now has it’s taste of the character dubbed as Teth-Adam; an anti-hero whose reluctant to play the good guy while proving his readying to protect his own city, Kahndaq.

With the reveal of this film being Dwayne Johnson’s passion project, I was curious to see how this film would go. When a celebrity admits a project is their passion than you expect something fantastic. I’m not personally a fan of Mr Johnson, but his work ethic and drive the of career is what capture my attention.

To me, I was expecting GO BIG or Go Home.

But when I had seen the trailer, my first reaction was that it was just a video game. Nothing about it screamed different. Nothing about it screamed watch me! You need me more than I need you. Instead it just looked like a video game.

Since my brother and I were both keen on the movie, we set out hearts on the movie. He came out loving the movie, but I walked out with a different opinion.

Black Adam is a movie that shows that sometimes a protector isn’t always who they are, sometimes it isn’t a blessing but rather than a curse and sometimes it can change hands due to love and protection of the heart.

To me, personally I struggled to see a storyline. To me, personally I struggled to care about the characters.

We had Teth-Adam, we had Doctor Fate, we had Cyclone, we had Hawk man, we had Atom-Smasher and Amanda Waller.

With that many characters to keep track off, it almost felt like they couldn’t trust Teth-Adam. Though honestly, with a character whose written as an anti-hero, that makes sense but when the audience goes in expecting to see a battle between Black Adam and Doctor Fate, you don’t get that. Instead it’s a pissing contest between good and anti-hero, it was almost as if the villain of the story; King Anh-Kot and Sabbac, where an afterthought.

The only time Black Adam was well and truly good was during the heavily choregraphed, slow motion and overly rehearsed action sequences and that was only because they played like a demo game that you see at th shops or played like a video game trailer where they want to show off the character rather than the storyline and what the game has to offer to the audience.

To me, this movie fall flat.

Obviously, with it being a superhero movie there is ONE end credit scene and one that seems to be spoiled before it even had a chance to reveal itself. This particular character and scene may hint at a sequel and future appearances of Black Adam.

We had a fabulous audition day today, and cast some incredible people; however we still have some roles open. These are suitable for male or female actors , aged 16 to 75.

All levels of experience most welcome. Actors should be based in the Devon area because of the need to attend rehearsals and performances in the South Devon region including Brixham, Plymouth, Exeter, and Torquay, as well as streaming globally online as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023.

Action scenes are strictly choregraphed by our fight trainer, and all training is included in rehearsal time.

The show is a family friendly adaptation of the epic poem of Beowulf.

The show director, Laura Jury, is one of four theatre directors nationally who is on Equity's Directors & Designers Committee, and the project is run to Equity "best practice" for fairness and everyones wellbeing.

Please note that the full cast / character & poster photoshoot / promo, taking place in August, will involve working with a live (tame) raven sat on wrist or shoulder, for all who are comfortable to do so. Please let us know if you are not comfortable working with a bird for the photoshoot, so that we can ensure you are still fully included,

As things stand at time of writing all actors will receive an equal share of money made from ticket sales for the performances (inclusive of streaming), as well as character photoshoots, copies of all press featuring you, videos for show/ demo-reels, and references. We are also putting in an Arts Council bid, to "up" the financial payments to Equity rates, and if that is approved then everyone is automatically upgraded.

For those newer to acting; all credits with us (whether profit-share or "proper" rate) count towards Spotlight registrations allowing newer actors to professionally register and then apply for agents and bigger castings. The payments (however much it is) can also count towards your Equity membership application.

Rehearsals for this show take place on Wednesdays 7pm - 9/ 9.30pm, and Sundays 1pm - 4 / 4.30pm at Chestnut Community Centre, 1-3 Poplar Close, Brixham, TQ5 0SA.

Performances take place on various Fridays/ Saturdays in November and early December 2022.

We are casting the following actors. (most actors in our show play more than one role. This is the expected lineup of roles for each actor, but this can be tweaked a little as well)

None of the roles involve nudity or bad language.

Bread's Game Journal 01/14/22: Until You Fall's Perfect Gameplay Is The Equally Perfect Realization Of An Old Star Wars Game.

Until You Fall is a roguelike VR sword fighting game that I have now happily bought twice, but it's also inexorably linked in my mind to something wholly unrelated: an old Star Wars game. If you were like me and you spent any portion of your 90's youth in that brief time arcades had their wonderful resurgence, you probably remember Star Wars Trilogy Arcade. Most of the time that game was something resembling a flight sim, or an on rails shooter, but a few times you'd get to play a pretty simple lightsaber mini game where you basically just block attacks to a simple rhythm until you get the chance to strike. At the time, it felt like you were really into a duel with Darth Vader, now, it shows it's age.

Also show's it's age in that the only screenshot of the level I'm talking about is an off screen cam rip.

That's where Until You Fall comes into play. Sure, it may not be Star Wars, or even really thematically related at all, but it understands the idea of the perfectly faked sword fight just the same as that old arcade game did. I often hear people speak of other VR games like Blade And Sorcery in reverent tones, often due to the physics based swordplay systems that lean as far into realism as they can. Here's the thing though, looking real and looking cool, are two very different things. Much like Star Wars trilogy did, Until You Fall focuses on making you feel like you're pulling off clutch moves, not awkwardly swinging your blade at a ragdoll. As a result, you could level the accusation at Until You Fall that it's largely staged, but I would counter that it is staged, in the sense that you're taking part in a performance. You're often just following visual cues, but it's those same cues that make you feel powerful, and skilled at the art of sword fighting magic knights as the game presents it. Again, it's not all that dissimilar from the way Star Wars Trilogy made you feel like you just defeated Darth Vader in a duel, even though all you really did was follow along with some on screen cues. VR is extremely good at combining the moment to moment action of a video game, with the choregraphed moves of a performance or set piece moments of something of a theme park experience. That's probably why I like it so much, frankly. It combines the theatre kid that was always waiting below the surface, with the grown ass adult who thinks Disneyland is unironically the happiest place on earth.

Emily Speed

Emily Speed, born in Chester, living in Liverpool, is an artist who focuses primarily on the shifting nature of space. Speed has worked in a number of different mediums including sculpture and performance art, working with Yorkshire sculpture park in 2017 for her piece “rooms designed for a woman’. Her focus on surroundings and space is something that is largely prominent, and I feel as though there is a huge focus in the positioning of the performers in her pieces, capturing the importance of body language and communication to the audience. This links in with the idea of community and synchronized activity that can be communicated throughout her works, especially in her “Flatland” exhibition.

During the Wednesday lecture, I felt eager to try and comprehend the sense of activity that Emily Speed promotes through her work, so I decided to visit the Tate Liverpool to develop a deeper understanding. The exhibition held a filmed performance which was largely projected, including a group of women completing what looked like choregraphed movements of tasks such as folding clothes. The actions of the women appeared somewhat unnatural and felt a little awkward to watch, almost as though they were being compressed, both physically and mentally. This a significant way in which Emily Speed embodied the women to be at the bottom of the hierarchy, mimicking the representation of the film’s inspiration, Edwin Abbot’s ‘flatland’ novella of 1884.

I think some key words in the exploration of the exhibition are “restricted” and “rigid”, given the context of the novel, Speed has created a very accurate representation of the expectation of the Victorian society and the individuals (especially women) living in it. Not only has she shown this through the physicality of the performers, but also more deeply when considering and analyzing the duties in which they are participating in. For example, folding garments, a historically stereotypical task for a woman to complete.

6 months before

Why did it have to be you? Why couldn’t they have sent someone else? Damnit, you were going to screw up; you only had to give him the file, but you were SO going to screw up…

Your knock on the door surprises yourself out of your internal battle, your body running on autopilot with the task at hand, and as soon as you realize what had happened, the panicked whispers in your mind turn to fearful shouts at you to turn around and run away, not being ready to face the God of the company himself when you were barely anyone here.

‘Yo, Seungri get the door.’

No, no, no…Jiyong was bad enough himself, you couldn’t deal with having to greet Seungri as well! You hadn’t even prepared yourself, what the hell were you meant to say-

‘Youngbae-hyung’s closer.’

Shit. Shit. Shit-

’Seungri-’

‘Fine.’

The minute a large shadow emerges in the frosted glass door in front of you your heart thrums faster than a hummingbird’s in your chest, and before you even have a chance to take a breath, its swinging open to reveal the gorgeous face of one of the best idol bachelor's in the country.

‘Oh. …hello. And how can I help a pretty young lady like you?’

His voice was as silken as milk chocolate and his smile as smooth as the deadliest predator. For a moment you’re struck by the moment, staring wide eyed and motionless at him as you try to force the words ‘I have a file for, Jiyong’ from your mouth, but somewhere between getting lost in the beauty of the man before you, and wishing you were dead, the words just wouldn’t appear.

‘uh….I don’t suppose you’re a fan?’ he suddenly asks, his expression turning skeptical and hesitant, and the worry that a rampant fan had managed to get their way into the building was so evident in his tense gaze that the expression is finally able to force words from you.

‘I-uh. No-I mean, yes- but, uh, FILE!’

Your sudden shout surprises him and has your face flaming in seconds as you thrust the plastic folder toward him, barely giving him enough time to catch it, before you let go and stand staring at him, trying to muffle your heavy breathing as you wait for his response, whilst trying not to claw yourself apart from the inside out from embarrassment.

‘O…kay. …I-‘ he begins, slowly looking from you to the file and opening it to inspect its contents, before sighing and nodding in understanding, his easy going expression appearing once more.

‘I see, it’s the research for Jiyong-hyung. Did the choregrapher send you to give him this- wait. Where-‘

You skid round the corner at the end of the corridor just before he can see the way you’re sprinted away in mortification, so completely embarrassed by your actions that you hadn’t been able to stand looking like an idiot anymore and had made your escape. From where you were, you could hear the soft close of the studio door as he goes back in, the sound making you sigh as you sink down the wall beside the elevator, and hang your head, crossing your hands behind your neck as you try to calm yourself down from the awkwardness of your encounter with one of the oldest and most respected idols in the company.

Damnit, why did you have to be so shy, and awkward, and-and-

‘Oh. …Hey, are you okay?’

Absolutely 100% screwed.

You didn’t need to look up to know who you were going to see stood before you, his soft, slightly nasally voice already giving him away- as well as his polished black loafers- but you still somehow find it in yourself to peak up from your knees to witness the glory of Kwon Jiyong stood in front of you, looking down at you with his head cocked to the side and a concerned expression painting his features.

‘Is something wrong? Do you feel okay?-‘

‘I’m fine.’ You wheeze quietly, gritting your teeth at your lameness, before steeling your resolve and drawing in a deep breath as you make to stand up and greet him, but feeling that breath get stolen from you when a hand suddenly appears before you.

You dont know what else to do except shakily reach out and take it, knowing it would have been impolite to ignore it, but feeling like your whole body ignites the second your palm touches his and he pulls you gently yet swiftly to your feet, bringing you face to face with him.

Or, rather, shoulder to chest.

The way your heart ricochets with his touch has the thought springing to mind that you should let go of his hand, but when you realize his grip on you was still definite you glance up at his eyes to see him staring down at you, something in the dark depths flickering with life as his mouth curves up the tiniest bit into what you could only perceive as a smile.

‘Are you the girl that just gave Seungri my file?’ he asks quietly, the way his voice was suddenly so soft taking you by surprise, and so you cant help but continue to stare at him as you surprise yourself by answering immediately.

‘Yes.’

Despite the way the word surprises you as it came from your mouth, you see the effect it has on him; making his smile wider, and the tips of his cheekbones tinge pink, before his hand with the file in it appears next to you and you feel him very slowly let go of your hand.

‘Well, thank you. I expect I wouldn’t have gotten it till the end of the day if Hyung hadn’t have sent you up with it. He must really trust you to run him an errand like this, so…thank you.’ He repeats, looking thoughtfully from the file to you, before refocusing his attention solely on you, his eyes locking onto yours as he shifts to hold his hands politely behind his back.

‘What’s your name?’

The suddenness of the question has you feeling like a dog with its tail between its legs in your shyness, your heart still thundering in your chest, but not quite as bad as before, and you force yourself to stutter out a response.

‘I…uh…Y/N-y/n.’ you mumble, biting your lip with the sheepish way in which you’d spoken and wanting to hit yourself at your own shyness.

Damn, the way she’s biting her lip…how can someone look that adorable? Jiyong thinks, staring for a solid half a minute at the pink flesh caught between your teeth, before quickly straightening out his curious frown into a smile when you glance up at him to see why he wasn’t responding.

‘Y/N.’ he says, seeming to contemplate your name as his tongue caresses the word, and you feel a shiver race down your spine in response, clutching your arms around yourself as you wait to be dismissed, and glancing up at him when he clears his throat.

‘Well…thank you for bringing my file, Y/N. I should let you get back to Hyung now, I presume you’re practicing for something?-‘

‘My group’s debut.’ You cut in quickly, your pride getting the better of you before you can shut up, and you feel your face flush with heat as you realize your hasty words, although you don’t miss the way his lips quirk up in an amused smile as he nods steadily at your outburst.

‘Well…in that case, I really will let you get on. You shouldn’t waste anymore time talking to me when you have so much to prepare.’ He grins, taking a moment to lock eyes with you, the look almost being strong enough to stroke your soul, before he nods his head finally and makes to walk away.

Holy shi-

‘Oh.’

You quickly plaster a small smile on your face when he suddenly turns and leans past you to press the button for the elevator for you, smirking as he subtly brushes his arm against yours as he pulls back, before turning to you with a playful expression and holding his fist in front of your face.

‘Fighting!’

A solid minute later, after you’d watched him walk away, and you’re watching the lift get called back down without you in it, the only thought in your mind being one long continuous scream...

suuuper cute animation! very astro boy vibes. our main character definitely shows growth throughout the episode but it wasn't really paced too well. the story was moving way too quickly from scene to scene with no dynamic pauses to create any sense of tension. unsure if this was a time constraint or what led to the rushed storytelling, esp after finding out it was the third shortest episode at 13min 17s

ep 7. the elder

from the same studio that did the twins and gotta say I liked this one a LOT. it was a short and simple story that was suspenseful but still had some sweet moments. and then when you meet the elder...... hoo boy that is an old man alright but he is also really creepy and undeniably very dangerous. the fight was really well choregraphed and then the VERY end was just so strange in that inexplicable way that makes you want to know more about this elder but you know you'll just never get to

ep 8. lop and ochō

the ep that I kept referring to as the furry ep bc the mc is a bunny girl but then I ended up actually getting teary eyed at the end omgggggg...... tbh was braced for a really sad ending but it wasn't as sad as I was expecting (not a bad thing exactly. keep in mind I still got teary too so obv something was impactful). really liked this ep and wouldn't mind more of the story. loved the characters and you understand a bit of everyone's actions

ep 9. akakiri

the second instance of a studio doing two episodes (in this case, same people who did t0-b1). personally was more interested in the side characters bc they were funny. like as much as you learn abt the main character there just wasn't quite that much depth to him? as in you don't get to form too much of an emotional attachment and so you kinda just watch him do things. personally felt more towards those two side characters. appreciate what they did with the ending tho

was told that star wars was originally inspired by old japanese samurai movies so it's amazing that they did this anthology to kind of full circle it back to almost its origin in a way? hope they will do another season with more or expand on some of the ones from these nine. will probs be rewatching my fav ones in canto
