may i ask exactly who your new blorbos are 👁
WOOOOOO THANK YOU FOR THE ASK BEAN IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Anyway, my newest sillies are the Chamber Choir kids from Ride the Cyclone!
Ride the Cyclone is a comedy-tragedy musical you can find a slime tutorial on youtube for wink wink about a bunch of kids who die horribly in a roller coaster accident after a choir competition and have to compete for a chance to revive themselves by earning the favor of the other students. Thing is, none of them are super friendly with each other.
First up, we have Ocean! Shes the class president, straight A student with a major supiriority complex. Shes also a ginger, and generally pretty awful. She also appears to have known that the coaster was going to derail, most likely after it was already too late.
Constanance is her best friend, a sweet girl with the poofiest hair and who is the good girl of the group.
Noel has the 'gay autsistic in a catholic school' experience, since did I mention hes canonically gay and they're all in catholic school? Yeah yikes. He adores everything old French and romantic and his catchphrase is close to my favorite line in the whole thing. Paraphrased, "Being the only gay guy in a high school in the middle of no where is like having a laptop in the stone age. Sure, you can have one, but theres no where to plug it in". He has a very complicated relationship with his gender identity and he wears a dress in his solo and he slays it so hard. I think you can probably tell who my favorite character is.
Next we have Mischa! Hes a Ukranian orphan who moved to Canada (the musical's setting) after losing his mother. He has a S.O named Talia who lives in Ukraine and is low key neglected by his adoptive parents. He raps, but hes a total. Absolute. Just. Words don't describe. Hes also a bisexual disaster imo, he gets a little fruity with Noel.
Ricky is our canonical horny disabled guy rep and its amazing. Well, I skipped past the scene where he gets very into it (nothing explicit but I'm more or less not a fan of that kind of thing so yeah its hilarious just a bit much). He has a degenerative disease and is a mute until the after life.
And finally, my second favorite, Jane Doe. No one remembers who she is, and her body was found without a head. Shes the only one without a name or an age or anything, and is generally considered a mystery. Shes adorable, I love her.
Its a very well done musical, and I cannot recommend it enough. Its on youtube too! The music is good, the comedy is fun, the acting is phenomenal, and theres a canonical gay and its really fun. Its an hour and 40 minutes of your time, and you won't regret it. Now excuse me while I draw Noel in several different pretty dresses.

There’s nothing ironic about show choir (2/30)
Notes: I mean, this entire fic is a huge AU.
AO3
--
Prompt: AU
--
SIMON
The world doesn’t end when the Mage dies. That’s what Penny says to me, but I don’t really get it. I’ve only been part of this world for a year, so I don’t remember what it was like before the Mage had power. I go back to school. Mitali Bunce is the new Headmistress now. I have less magic than before, but that is fine. Mitali also arranged a magickal counsellor for me to talk about what happened and I like it. I visit Ebb, the goatherd, a lot. I hang out with Penny and Agatha.
This summer, I’m going to the Bunces. The Bunces and the Wellbeloves make sure I will not go back to care and it’s the best news I’ve heard ever since the Mage told me I am special. (Or was.) (My insane amount of magic made me special, but it looks like I gave most of it away.)
Dr. Wellbelove says that it’s a good thing. I will finally be able to have a normal childhood, or whatever that means.
The only person who doesn’t know what to do with me is my roommate Baz. He’s been a pain in the ass during the entirety of the school year, because his family stands against the Mage, but now the Mage is gone.
I think that’s the end of our rivalry. I’m glad.
--
When I return for my second year, I realise I am wrong. Mitali has reinstated a lot of the old curriculum and after school activities, including choir.
Baz and I both sign up.
In fact, a lot of people sign up.
Theatre, choir, art class, chess club, fencing club, gardening… it turns out that all the students of Watford cannot get enough of it.
“It’s because the Mage has suppressed any form of fun for so long, Snow,” Baz had explained to me, with a sneer in his voice.
Penny says the same, although with a kinder tone.
They are right, since the older students are the first in line with the sign-ups. Choir gets so many sign-ups that Mitali decides to split it in two. Penny, Agatha and I join Rutaceae. Baz joins Vitis.
It doesn’t take long before a rivalry starts between them.
“Look, students, there is nothing I can do about it,” Miss Possibelf explained. She leads Rutaceae. (Madam Bellamy leads Vitis.) “The rules of show choir state that we must see Rutaceae and Vitis as two different organisations in competition.”
“But we’re all Watford students!” Gareth points out.
Miss Possibelf nods.
“I know, Gareth, but we’re two choirs, and only one of us can win Nationals.”
--
Notes: I have no clue how choir actually works. I am taking it all from Glee, so yeah. And in Glee, McKinley High had two choirs at one points: the New Directions and the superior Troubletones. Those also had to compete separately.
The names Rutaceae and Vitis are... the Latin names of the citrus and grape families. Look, I was listening to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet music while writing this and I was this close to just straight up calling the glee clubs Naranja and Uva.

Funny how the Anon who said the Anti "had a point", also forgot that Jimin has made several trips to do "scheduled work activities" that NO ONE knows about. Or do they really think Jimin only flew to the US to support Jhope at lollapalooza? NO babes, he had work to do there as well, then went straight to LA, stayed there for more than 2 weeks, hung out with artists, met more producers, filmed stuff (that again we know NOTHING about) to the point that Karmys were BEGGING him to return. Even two of their best stylist traveled from SK for HIM while he was on his 2nd week there (also the HUGE suitcase??)
He then made a SECOND trip to the US for more "scheduled work" that once again guess what? We know NOTHING about and on top of that we have a potential Taeyang x Jimin collab announcement that coincidentally dropped not even 24 hours after JM landed back in Korea???
Oh and what about that announcement that there is a single he'll be dropping as well with a whole ass choir?
But yeah, okay, lets pretend Jimin is doing nothing just because he's not constantly bragging or shirtless on IG.
Yes exactly. There are lots planned but is getting postponed due to uncertainty.
It's evident a lot of things are there in jimins plate and we are in for a surprise fest.
It do be good if we all start seeing him as soloist and not a K-pop idol group member . Like , his standards and bar is of other Korean and foreign solo artists level and those are who he's competing with. And by comparing him with rest of BTS members we are only bringing his scale down and making him look less competitive out there .
BTS members are newbies to solo world too . Let's look beyond the closed circle because jimins standards are not limited to newbie level.

Night Raven College at Hogwarts Part II: Classes
Warnings: light mentions of war, blood prejudice, and death. (because history lessons take place)
Original idea was from chu1luc on Wattpad.
Links: Part I Part II Part III
I last left off when NRC and RSA are about to be sorted in Hogwarts as part of the experience. McGonagall introduces the new students who will be staying for the week and calls them up sit under the sorting hat.
Here are my personal opinions on which house they might belong:
Gryffindor
Ace Trappola
Deuce Spade
Jack Howl
Epel Felmier
Silver
Cater Diamond
Hufflepuff
Trey Clover
Sebek Zigvolt
Kalim Al-Asim
Ortho Shroud
Neige LeBlanche
Ravenclaw
Riddle Rosehearts
Idia Shroud
Che'nya
Slytherin
Malleus Draconia
Lilia Vanrouge
Vil Schoenheit
Rook Hunt
Leona Kingscholar
Ruggie Bucchi
Azul Ashengrotto
Jade Leech
Floyd Leech
Jamil Viper
Grim
And yes, anyone who was sorted into Slytherin are bit smug that they shared Minako's house.
NRC and RSA attract a bit of attention with their various beastmen and Malleus Draconia radiating a powerful aura.
As a part of the welcoming ceremony, Minako and the frog choir perform Double Trouble or um... all of the Hogwarts students just sing their school song off-key.
Epel is relieved to be free of Vil even just for a week. Even better is that he's in Gryffindor, the brave house. His strength is being recognized!
The big feast begins and Ruggie is having the best night of his life. All of this free delicious food magically appearing in front of him and he's stuffing his face like never before.
The Hogwarts ghosts appear. Vil is a little irked to find out that the ghost covered in blood and chains is Slytherin's resident ghost
Sir Nicholas gets asked how he can be nearly headless and rips his head off in front of the Gryffindors.
Everyone is a little concerned that there were so many young ghosts in 90s clothing, probably no older than eighteen.
Minako solemnly says that they're the Fallen Fifty from the war and that they will learn about them during the week.
It's no wonder Minako was never scared of the ghosts in Ramshackle. They looked like marshmallows compared to the hyper-realistic ghosts in this school.
The Fat Lady Portrait is a riot to the newly sorted Gryffindors and so is Sir Cadogan.
At least one person will accidentally fall off of the moving stairs due to a misstep. (*cough* Cater was so caught up in filling up his phone with photos of the school that the he didn't notice that the stairs moved*cough*.)
Most of the week are lessons.
Cue Idia suffering even more because he does not have the wifi to use his tablet to go to classes or play his games.
The legend, Harry Potter, shows up for the event to teach Defence Against the Dark Arts. He's surprisingly polite and humble for a man who saved the world when he was only seventeen.
Ohh, NRC and RSA are not comfortable learning about blood prejudice, Voldemort, and how those teenage ghosts from the first night were murdered. The Second Wizarding War ended not too long ago might they add.
Minako and her siblings are Muggle-borns. Imagine if they lived in that time.
Adeuce and Grim are glued to her side for long a time after the history lessons, but they had leave for their next class.
Malleus was exceptionally clingy too in fear of a death eater taking her away from him.
Potions: Pomfiore is having a ball with their best subject, slinging poisons and beauty products. The entire class is swooning over them.
Flight/Quidditch: Minako only played quidditch in little leagues and she didn't make it to the team during school tryouts. She knows the general rules of quidditch, but she's not that great of a player. She's can fly well though.
Leona and Malleus are having a testosterone battle to see who's better. Madame Hooch has to quickly stop them so they don't destroy everything.
NRC and RSA, being the rivals that they are, might compete for who gets to have Minako with them at Hogsmeade on the last day
But again, things were turning into a blood bath so the competition was put to a stop.
Eventually, they will be watching an official quidditch game between the houses along with a sarcastic commentator during the game.
NRC will be teaching magift soon when Hogwarts comes to stay at their school.
Care for Magical Creatures: Minako's favourite class, but she's worried when Rook shows up to attend. She likes the guy, but he's Rook.
Even Hagrid catches on to Rook's questionable behaviour around the animals. At least he finds them beautiful? Most people would be scared.
Floyd is a chaotic terror for the whole week. He's wrecking havoc with all those new potions and charms he's learnt, he's squeezing all of the magical creatures, he will want to do parkour on the moving stairs.
Floyd decided to go swimming in the Black Lake, freaking everyone out when he turns into a merman. He was looking for the society of merpeople and the Giant Squid there that Minako told him about last year.
Minako regrets everything.
Azul apologizes on his behalf while Jade and Minako restrain Floyd.
During transfiguration class, Azul tried to communicate with the cat at the professor's desk, but surprise! It's not a cat, it's McGonagall.
Azul sits down, embarrassed.
(I don't know if McGonagall would still be teaching Transfiguration and be head of Gryffindor after she was appointed to Headmistress, so let's just go with it.)
But it's still a fun time learning about new spells and the culture. Finally, the Hogsmeade trip arrives to wrap this all up.
To be continued...

Love Catcher - Pillows and Comforters | Chapter 1
Synopsis: The Love Catcher series: Seven men and seven women who are looking for love have signed up for a reality show. In their quest for love, the participants will compete in a series of contests. The pair who wins will get to have a one on one date with whomever they want. Will they find love?
Hoseok has just won a contest and has to chose who he wants to go on a date with. It proves hard, as his attraction lies somewhere surprising.
Genres/AU: BTS as non-celebrities | Looking for love | Dating show
Word Count: 1,686
Read on Ao3
As soon as Hoseok lays down on the bed, the TV-screen lights up, almost as if they know he’s in need of a minute to catch his breath and to think. He needs more than one minute make up his mind, because winning the competition is not synonymous with knowing who he wants wants to bring with him to the hotel, but it seems like he doesn’t have that luxury. He could, and probably should, chose Kim, who he has spent the last day talking with. It’s what people are expecting. But…
"Let’s go! It’s time," Jungkook says expectantly, and Hoseok finds him a little childish. Hoseok can't help but be a little jealous and smiles.
The screen changes, the logo disappearing, a text replacing it's place. It reads: The stakes were high, but in the end, the winners were:. The screen changes again, showing his name. Hoseok and Nala. Hoseok is in disbelief as he looks around: tatted and built Jungkook, tall and muscular Namjoon, and the ever so flexible Jimin were only three of the six men he outmatched today.
The screen changes. Now it's time for the two of you to chose who you want to spend the night with. His stomach drops. He hasn't even packed yet. He only got time to shower, and now he has to leave for a date. The screen changes once more. So, pack up and collect the person you want with you, it says before the logo of the show flashes, then the screen goes black.
He settles himself down on the ground as he pack an overnight bag with what he thinks he might need.
"Do you know who you want to take with you?" Namjoon, who has the bed next to Hoseok, asks.
"You know…" is all Hoseok can reply, overly aware of all the other men listening to the conversation. He has finally made his mind up, and doesn't want their reaction to change his mind. It's not Kim he wants to go on this date with. He appreciates her attention, but it's not there his attention goes to. It wasn't to her his mind went when he tried to decide in the shower thirty minutes ago.
"Kim?" Namjoon guesses, which does not surprise Hoseok at all.
Hoseok shrugs as he walks over to the bathroom. After styling his hair softly, he packs his toiletries and makes his leave.
"Wish me luck, guys! I might need it," he chuckles softly as he steps into his shoes. His nerves are starting to build, but he ignores them as best as he can, not wanting to make a fool of himself on TV.
"Don't try anything," Jimin teases. Just before the door closes he can hear Yoongi clicking his tongue while Seokjin chuckles softly.
On the way to the girls room, he crosses paths with his partner in crime from todays contest, Nala. They smile and nod their heads to each other as they pass. Then, Hoseok is suddenly standing by the door of the womens´ room. To calm himself, he takes a deep breath, shaking his shoulders and jumping al little to get rid of his nerves. Then, he knocks.
"Come in," a choir of female voices sounds from the other side of the door.
Hoseok bows as he takes a step inside. His eyes roams the room until his eyes finally land on the ever so beautiful woman he was looking for. Their eyes meet, and once again Hoseok is so aware of all the attention he is receiving; his ears and neck going very hot. He smiles kindly.
"Camila, can I have a word with you?" he asks, not missing the surprised look on her face, but she nods and gets up either way. Hoseok can't miss the looks of confusion from the other girls as well. Especially Kim, who was smiling widely a second ago, and is now trying her best not to frown.
As Camila approaches, he opens the door, which he closes to give them some privacy once they're both in the hallway. "This is the first date here, and I really want to go on it with you," he whispers. It feels like he is opening his heart for the whole world to see. Literally. She can turn him down and the world will turn it all into a meme, it's very terrifying. However, the woman smiling up at him doesn't give him the impression that she will turn him down, giving him just enough courage to ask her properly. "Will you come with me on a date?"
"I have to pack a bag, will you give me five minutes?" she asks, twiddling her fingers. Can she even say no, Hoseok wonders.
"I will be waiting for you right here."
Camila´s eyes lingers on Hoseok´s another second before she turns around and disappears behind the door. She tries to be as quick as she can, aware that Hoseok is waiting for her, but also wanting to escape the awkwardness that has built in the girls´ bedroom.
Five minutes before Hoseok knocked, Kim was talking about how much she wanted Hoseok to ask her on this date. Even though it's Hoseok´s choice, Camila can't help but feeling like it somehow was her fault that Kim didn't get picked. She receives a confused and hard look from Kim. Camila can understand what Kim is feeling, because Camila would be sad, too, if she had hoped, and half expected, to be picked for a date with the man she liked.
As she exits, all the girls turns to Kim, who is trying her very best to put on a smile as she is trying to make sense of her emotions. Emotionally, she feels betrayed and rejected. Rationally, she hasn't know this man for a week yet; this should be nothing. They have been getting to know each other all of today and yesterday, yes, but he owes her nothing. More than anything, she feels stupid for expecting to be chosen today.
"I'm sorry," on of the girls says, she doesn't know exactly who.
"No, it's fine. Honestly." She can tell the rest of the girls doesn't believe her, but they move on anyway, patting her back and walking out of the bedroom. It's only her and the girl with long blonde hair named Charlotte left; the two girls who have beds next to each other.
"I know it's only been two days, but you are allowed to be disappointed," Charlotte smiles, grabbing her sweater and bring it over her head.
"It's not like I'm sad, he can go on dates with whomever he wants to: that's the point of this show."
"You want to come with and eat?" Charlotte asks, making her way out of the bedroom as well. Kim nods her head, quickly ties her short hair into a ponytail and follows.
The two girls finds the rest of them in the kitchen, most of them sitting by the dinner-table with a drink while Jungkook and Yoongi are cooking up a storm. It smells wonderful, and Kim feels much better, a smile finder its way on her face. This night does not need to be ruined.
She makes her way to the kitchen and starts to wash her hands. "What can I do?" She asks Yoongi, who is standing next to her, stirring the pot. He doesn't look up when addressed.
"Can you cut the tofu into cubes?" He brings his fingers up, measuring with his thumb and point finger. "This big would be fine."
"Coming right up."
Without any trouble, she locates the cutting board and a knife and goes straight to work, setting up her station up next to Yoongi. It's silent as they work, both of them concentrating on what they're doing.
"This fine?" Kim double-checks her work, to which Yoongi first looks at the tofu she cut up, then looks up, meeting her gaze for a second before taring his eyes away. He smiles at the pot.
"Yes."
The rest of the cooking is done, so when Kim finishes cutting up the tofu she starts to bring everything to the table, which Jungkook set. Yoongi follows shortly after with the pot, just as Kim takes one of the free seats.
"Yes, Yoongi!" Namjoon exclaims, clearly approving of the food.
"It smells wonderful," one of the girls comments, and Kim agrees.
Yoongi starts to ladle the food into bowls, handing the first bowl to Kim, making her wonder is he feels bad for her. Either way, she smiles and bows her head slightly. Yoongi settles down as well, taking the chair directly across Kim. She can't help but notice.
"I have to ask," Charlotte suddenly asks after a minute of silence. "Did Hoseok tell you he was going to choose Camila?"
"He didn't tell us anything," Jimin says.
"We were all a little surprised when you told us Hoseok chose Camila," Taehyung says between chews, unconsciously glancing at Kim.
"I guess he had an eye for her?" Namjoon wonders.
"Or…" Kim says, making everyone turn their heads to her. "Maybe he just wanted to get to know someone he hasn't spoken to yet?"
"It is the whole point of being here…" Charlotte repeats Kim's words from earlier, winking to her.
"How do you think it is? Being at the hotel, I mean," Kim asks, trying to change the subject from herself and Hoseok.
"I hope there is room service," Jungkook says without thinking, making him go red as he laughs with the rest of them. "Not like that!"
It doesn't help, they all continue to laugh, Taehyung teasing Jungkook even more.

Hi!!! May I request a HP romantic and friendship matchup on both eras? (Preferably male), thanks in advance! 💞
𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗖𝗦 + 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘
19, Libra, Neutral Good, enneagram is 4w5, Ravenclaw, and my patronus spirit is swan. Bi Pan Genderfluid girl using pronouns of She/Her or He/Him. A friend of mine told me that I (kinda) look like Marinette from 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆𝗯𝘂𝗴, Musa from 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘅 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, and Alexandra Trese from 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲 (a Netflix animated series), but the exception is I'm short (5'1.2") plus sized Southeast Asian woman with Spanish descent that has messy/wavy brunette medium hair, chocolate brown eyes, oriental skin and a small beauty mark on the forehead. My sense of fashion is in between emo and boyish plus korean glam.
𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬
Distant and shy at first cause' I dunno how to initiate a conversation, but a total opposite if I open up---friendly, ambivert, witty, laughing loudly on a daily basis, talkative, awkward, daydreamer (I got embarrassed from knocking at the door even I'm inside the classroom 😂), EXTREMELY clumsy, secretly likes affection, easily overwhelmed, prone to melt over any wholesomeness, flusters on compliments, lightly blushes on cheesy banters, sarcastic person with a lowkey crackhead energy citing meme references, and talented girl who can be your no. 1 supporter and unashamed to be true to myself. In terms of leadership, I only educate and guide than being a prefect (I might take the role seriously), and will lift my group when there's lacking/incompleteness. About doing projects in school, I become too extra and prepared for efforts, but I'll forget the process in the end.
People thought I'm a demure self-effacing woman that looks "idealistic" or "one of a kind," (due to my protective parents, a reason why I've never been in a relationship) but the truth is, I'm eloquent, warm-hearted, willig to help, kind, intelligent, supportive, nice, creative, enthusiastic, determined, tough, competitive, and feisty outside, but a real softie that can be childish and dramatic crybaby filled with doubts, frustrations, and insecurities with fear of failure that pushes off the limits to to please everyone, yet I still managed to be stronger than ever, even it's a slow burn process. I can be intimidating, sassy, and a douchebag if I receive ends. Immature, headstrong, perfectionist, demanding, hesitant, jumpy, very indecisive, overthinker, quick-tempered, sensitive, and anxious (no joke, my nervousness makes me think worse scenario will arrive or I might break a belonging due to my carelessness). Though can be procrastinator and arrogant, I raised as a religious 𝖺𝗇𝖽 diplomatic person, willing to fight what I believe (including my dreams) 𝖺𝗇𝖽 what is right. In addition, I have a habit of staying up late and doing sign of the cross to ease nervousness.
Blunt but the loudest idiotic feeling-brokenhearted and bitter friend in the group who fangirl a lot, swears like sailor, will act like a silent backstabber on people that we loathe, will crack up over your stupid antics before helping, and bring gossips, but a hopeless romantic who tends to banter with sarcasms or pick up lines as an endearment (but gets grumpy if I received sappy or offensive one), still generous and concerned in a subtle way.
𝗛𝗢𝗕𝗕𝗜𝗘𝗦
My hobbies are singing, drawing, roleplaying, listening to music, chatting/browsing on social media, conceptualizing, writing, and reading some stuffs. 𝖨'𝗅𝗅 𝗂𝗇𝖼𝗅𝗎𝖽𝖾 making corniest jokes/puns, 𝗌𝗅𝖾𝖾𝗉𝗂𝗇𝗀, and dancing when nobody's around or walking like a model if I feel so bold (even I'm terrible at both xD).
𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘𝗦
Loves kittens, eating a lot, cartoons, watching YouTube videos (mostly pageants, ASMR, edit audios, and mukbangs), also enjoys playing games on my sister's PSP. Sucker for arts, choir, night sky, makeup, fun/deep/dumb conversations, Christianity, documentaries (about saints, real crime stories, and inspirational people), reading interesting stuffs, talking about social issues, and writings, chilling both indoors and outdoors. Beside that, my music taste are like late 90s-2000s songs (mostly rock, pop, and country) sometimes kpop and ppop, chocoholic, and a sweetooth as well.
𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘𝗦
Things that I hate are stereotyping, HUGE creepy crawlies (spiders, toads, snakes, and cockroaches), firecracker sounds, being left out, loneliness, heart break, blackout, and judgemental people. One random fact about me is, I 𝗐𝗂𝗅𝗅 vent out EVERYTHING I despise in my entire existence---from bad soap operas to toxicity and worse scenarios in real life, because it's a big deal for me, and I consider forcing me to do what I'm not into and manipulating me as my major pet peeves.
𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗦
In terms of triggers...I only have two which are ta𝖨king about divorce/annullment/separation because I came from a generational broken family and religion/beliefs discrimination, cause' there are reasonings that doesn't makes sense because some are too hypocritical.
𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗔
My best assets are smile, eyes, personality, singing voice, artistic skills, writings, intelligence, and oratorical skills...so I can consider myself as a singer, artist, orator, and a top student who's a former active campus ministry member with three roles (choir leader, psalm singer, and reader). Currently an incoming college freshman, learning how to cook and have so many interests, to the point I don't know what I'm into because of my dreams to become a popular Filipino YouTuber, a novelist, and being part of a successful chorale competing internationally...I also consider joining pageants at school too once the pandemic ends, but maybe.
Thank you so, so much for requesting! I had a lot of fun with this one (as you can tell by some of the really long answers lol) and I hope you enjoy!!
In the Golden Trio era, I romantically pair you with…
CEDRIC DIGGORY
One of the most beautiful things about Cedric is that although he may show some introverted tendencies, he still manages to have a natural gift for connecting to others and allowing them to feel comfortable enough to open up. Really, your initial distance and shyness don't last nearly as long towards Cedric as they would with most other people.
Hearing your laughter brings the widest, cheesiest grin to Cedric’s face. Not only does he adore seeing you happy, but he also recognizes that your anxiety, insecurities, and strong emotions can sometimes cloud up your demeanor. Therefore, it brings him comfort knowing that (for the moment) you’re finding joy. He thrives when you thrive!
However, as much as he loves seeing your more energetic and happier self, it goes without saying that he’s the best comfort for when you’re not having the best day.
Cedric is an excellent listener, so he’ll most likely let you talk without interruption for as long as you need before even saying a word. He wants to make sure he truly understands your current state before acting. He may take a few seconds to process everything after you finish speaking, but then he’ll help you tackle whatever problems you’re facing. He’s especially talented at giving words of affirmation.
Cedric’s listening also comes in handy whenever you talk about your interests! He genuinely loves hearing about the things you’re interested in solely for the fact that you’re interested in them. Side note: you can count on him to be at any music performances, pageants, etc. you may have -- this guy is truly your #1 supporter.
Cedric’s a very good student (though I suspect he’s somewhat of a procrastinator himself), so I can also see you two supporting each other through schoolwork and celebrating each other’s successes.
Like you, Cedric has a strong urge to do the right thing. Talking to him about social issues stirs up a need to help, and I could see you two doing volunteer work together in your spare time.
I like to believe one of Cedric’s biggest love languages is quality time. Don’t get me wrong, this guy loves staying involved and busy. But taking a couple hours to be with you in small ways (even if that means just being in the same room while you scroll through social media) gives him a nice balance.
Overall, this kind boy will be there unwaveringly through the bad times and will laugh just as loud as you through the good!
As a friend, I think you’d best be matched with…
LUNA LOVEGOOD
You wanna talk about the best conversations, relentless support, and overall the most wholesome friendship you could ask for? Luna’s your girl.
Being unashamed to be true to yourself is one of the biggest reasons why Luna is so drawn to you. While she’s very friendly and insightful towards everyone she meets, it can get a bit repetitive for her to constantly interact with people who try to shelter their unique characteristics from the world. In her mind, these unique characteristics are what make people so fascinating! Why should anyone hide who they are?
Luna’s creativity is endless, and I can see it blending well with yours. Collaborating on a personal project outside of school (ex: novel, blog, etc.) together is definitely something I could see you two doing.
Speaking of creativity, finding creative solutions to everyday problems (both in school and in life) is your specialty as friends.
Admittedly, Luna isn’t usually drawn to louder individuals. However, the complexity behind your personality makes it easier for her to know you are much more than what meets the eye.
Speaking of, Luna has a difficult time standing up for herself -- whether it’s because she doesn’t feel a need to or she just doesn’t recognize the meaning behind certain phrases. She NEEDS a friend like you to stand up for her sometimes, and I know you wouldn’t hesitate!
Ranting to Luna is therapeutic to say the least. While her aloofness at times may make it seem as if she isn’t fully paying attention, that couldn’t be further from the truth. She’s actually catching every word, and once you’re done she’ll leave you with a philosophical solution that may seem borderline insane/irrelevant when you first hear it, but it strangely makes sense.
Overall, the lack of judgment from either of you is what draws you together. As a result, you build a unique bond that couldn’t be broken even if either of you wanted it to.
In the Marauders era, I romantically pair you with…
REMUS LUPIN
Let’s be honest, it would take you two so long to ask each other out. You were probably already really close friends, but the insecurities and “what if?” questions from both of you delayed an actual relationship.
When you finally started dating, you were both so relieved. You still share a laugh at how almost nothing changed in the way you interacted with each other.
While with mutual friends, Remus sometimes likes to sit back and just watch you, especially when you get really talkative because this is when you become the most expressive. He has the softest smile when you’re actively cracking jokes, discussing something you’re passionate about, or even calling someone out. Sometimes you may be too distracted to notice, but other times you’ll catch him.
“What?”
“Oh, nothing.” (While that same soft smile never leaves his face.)
You both hold really high standards for yourself in terms of school, so expect late-night study/work sessions to be your best bet for quality time.
Though the occasional instance of walking through/lying on the grounds becomes a favorite for both of you.
Remus listens when you’re particularly struggling through anxiety or strong emotions, but he has to consciously stop himself from interrupting because he can’t stand how he feels knowing you’re going through a tough time.
All he wants to do is soothe you during these moments. If you’re comfortable, he’ll hold you while speaking to you in a soft voice. Remus, the intellectual that he is, is also your best chance at finding a reasonable solution. So if you're not in the mood for calming words, he's also a great person to turn to for answers.
As for your ambitions, no matter what you choose to pursue, you already know Remus is going to be your biggest source of support every step of the way. He’s more than happy to help in any way he can!
Overall, Remus appreciates you, and he’s always going to make sure you know it.
As a friend, I think you’d best be matched with…
LILY EVANS
Lily especially connects to you because you manage to be determined, competitive, and intelligent without sacrificing your kindness, which is something she can relate to.
You and Lily are the C.E.O.s of doing the right thing. Neither of you hesitates to back the other up when it comes to confronting someone because you know it’s justified.
As perceptive as Lily is, you never need to tell her when something is bothering you. All it takes is a quick glance before she puts whatever she’s doing on hold to check in with you.
The reverse works as well. Typically, Lily really doesn’t internally struggle too much, and when she does she tries to hide it. You’re one of the only people who can see right through whatever she tries to pull.
The constant banter between you two is unmatched, but you both know it's because you really care about each other.
Overall, you and Lily have each other’s backs through anything, even when the other isn’t actively asking for help.

#28 Hairspray (2007)
Welcome to Hairspray, where a well-intentioned, woke, white teenage girl singlehandedly ends segregation in 1960s Baltimore.
Y’know, after watching Cry-Baby, I wasn’t super keen on revisiting Hairspray, but I figured it deserved a fair shot. I hadn’t seen the original since I was in high school, so I booted up HBO Max and settled in for a long night of old-timey dance moves and racial inequality. Guys... the 1988 version of Hairspray is flippin’ great.
The cast is just to die for. Ricki Lake, who I only knew as a talk show host in my childhood, is a great Tracy Turnblad. My favorite devious sea witch Divine is her mother, and Jerry Stiller is her father. Goddamn Debbie Harry and Sunny Bono are her rival’s parents, and Amber Von Tussle is motherfucking Colleen Fitzpatrick. As someone who has a vested interest in all famous Colleens, I was stoked to see that Hairspray was Vitamin C’s first acting gig.
FUN FACT: According to Wikipedia (which is never wrong), Graduation (Friends Forever) charts on iTunes at the end of every school year. Colleen is also the VP of music at Nickelodeon, so she’s doing just fine.
Anyway, the original Hairspray is campy, edgy and hilarious. If I were Miss Soft Crab 1945, I too would bring it up every chance I got. The story really boils down to two horny teenage girls trying to claw their way to the top, but the charm of Tracy is she’s trying to pull everyone else up with her. The way they handle segregation and racial inequality is over-the-top ridiculous, but somehow more realistic than its updated counterpart (put a pin in this). I mean, a racist white woman shoved a bomb in her hair to own the libs and it gloriously explodes on her head. I haven’t seen the musical adaptation of Hairspray, so my opinions of how true it is to its source material won’t be explored here, but the 2007 movie adaptation, to me, left a lot to be desired.
Hairspray might be the most popular in a recent trend of non-musical movies being adapted for Broadway. I remember back in the 90s when Beauty and the Beast hit the stage - it was so successful Disney now has the movie-to-Broadway pipeline on speed dial. But now we’re getting a shitload of movies with no musical elements being fast tracked to Broadway, like Kinky Boots, Bend it Like Beckham, Mean Girls, Beetlejuice, Heathers, Waitress, Legally Blonde, fucking Groundhog Day with music written by Tim Minchin, just, so goddamn many of them. I love musicals, but to say I didn’t want to see The Heathers threaten Veronica in 3-part harmony would be an understatement, so I’m immediately skeptical to the quality of this content and hesitant to consume it. Unfortunately for me, Hairspray is one of the few who had their *corny* musical adaptation also committed to film, and it is a neutered, earnest, high school choir translation of the original and it made my teeth hurt.
The two positives I’ll give the remake are the sets/costumes are great, and the cast serve their roles well, although I will never be OK with someone wearing a fat suit as a costume. The songs are... fine. Again, this era of music is not my favorite, so I’m never going to get excited over “It Takes Two” or “I Can Hear the Bells”. It’s just the tone is so different from the original, and by the end of the movie I was exhausted and very glad it was over. Writing about it now has required several breaks and side-tangents and I can’t even get to the fucking synopsis of the movie... ugh let’s just do this.
youtube
Tracy Turnblad is a “pleasantly plump” teenage girl living in 1960s Baltimore whose sunny disposition makes her oblivious to the reality of murky situation she is living in. We’re quickly introduced to her obsession, “The Corny Collins Show”, which features a number of far-out teens that love to dance, including multi-year winner of Miss Teenage Hairspray and miss Pitch Perfect herself Amber Von Tussel. Her mother, Velma, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, is the station manager at WYZT, and uses her power to keep Amber featured front and center.
After a girl on the show gets knocked up, an audition is held to replace her. While Tracy’s mother Edna, regrettably played by John Travolta in a fat suit, is afraid that Tracy’s weight will prevent her from landing the gig, her father, puzzlingly played by like a 60-something Christopher Walken, is generally supportive. True to Edna’s feeling, Tracy is fat shamed by Amber and Velma and doesn’t make the cut.
After getting detention for skipping class for an audition that didn’t pan out, Tracy makes friends with a bunch of black students who are all excellent dancers. Turns out her new friend Seaweed is the son of Motormouth Maybelle, the sometimes-host of "The Corny Collins Show”, played by Queen Latifah. Velma, in addition to being a massive bitch, also segregates the station’s black talent from the main show, only to be featured one night a month on “Negro Day”. While Tracy is boogying down, Link, Amber’s boyfriend and one of the stars of TCCS, peeps at her ass and tells her if she shook her rump in front of Corny at the Hop, he’d have no choice but to put her on the show.
youtube
In the original movie, Tracy Turnblad fucks. She moves in on Link and devours him whole, with no mind given to her size. She is a kind of bratty, confident young teenager that isn’t afraid to reach out and grab what she wants. Tracy in the 2007 version is the most innocent cinnamon roll that has ever been baked. Link gives her one compliment and she drifts into fantasies of marrying him. Part of me is annoyed by this, but the other part of me appreciates misguided optimism played as humor.
At the Corny Collins hop, Tracy steals borrows Seaweed’s dance move and lands a place on TCCS council. After declaring she wants every day to be Negro Day, the head of the station declares he wants that “chubby communist girl” off the show. Corny, played by a dreamy James Marsden, sticks his neck out for Tracy and furthermore, says the show should be integrated. As Tracy’s popularity skyrockets, the station shows more leeway to her size and her look, but to maintain some semblance of control, Velma works to completely edge out Negro Day.
Meanwhile, Link is clued into how fun it is in detention, and him, Tracy, and Penny all dance their way to Motormouth Maybelle’s record store for a potluck. When Seaweed introduces his new white friends to his mother, Penny delivers my favorite line of the whole movie, “I’m very pleased and scared to be here.” Amber rats out Tracy’s activities to her mother, and Edna arrives to Motormouth’s with the intention of dragging Tracy home until she realizes that black people are OK because they eat brisket.
youtube
After Edna shoves a bunch of food in her face, the gang finds out that Negro Day on “The Corny Collins Show” has been cancelled. Tracy has the great idea to protest the television station, and all the black people are like, “Why didn’t we think of that?” Link decides to bow out of the march because there’ll be talent agents at the Miss Hairspray Pageant, and he doesn’t want to give up his big shot at fame and glory to fight for a entire race of people’s basic rights.
The next day, Tracy and her mom are the only white people in a sea of black people to march to the station. Queen Latifah sings a very earnest song about the resilience of her community, because this is the Serious Portion TM of the musical. Tracy assaults a police officer without giving any mind to what it would do for all the black people she’s marching with, and runs away to let them handle the consequences. The movie doesn’t show any police brutality because Reasons, and a bunch of protestors are arrested and immediately bailed out by Tracy’s Dad. Tracy eventually ends up back at Motormouth Maybelle’s record shop so she can hide there without considering how dangerous it would be for Motormouth to harbor a fugitive of the law.
The next day is the Miss Teen Hairspray competition broadcast at WYZT, and with Tracy being wanted by the police, they have to sneak her into the station. She bum-rushes the set to sing a song with a now-enlightened Link about not stopping progress, while also inviting Motormouth Maybelle’s daughter, Little Inez, on stage to dance. Everybody calls-in to vote for her because the only racist people in Baltimore run the television station, and Little Inez is crowned Miss Teen Hairspray. Amber is like fine with it even though her mom isn’t, and everyone dances and sings to celebrate that “The Corny Collins” show is now integrated! Meanwhile, I’m left wondering why Amanda Bynes was forced to wear a dress that she can’t move her legs in, even though they knew she would participate in the show’s closing dance number. The end.
youtube
Oh, and there’s also a whole B plot where Velma tries to fuck Tracy’s dad and Tracy’s mom finds out and gets upset for like 30 seconds. This is immediately resolved by a song and dance number among a bunch of laundry.
This movie is fine and competent or whatever, but for some reason it just rubs me the entirely wrong way. Tracy constantly says that the 1960s are changing for people who are different, implying that an overweight white teen also knows what it’s like to be discriminated against in the same way black people are. The movie does roll its eyes at some of her most tone-deaf “I’m an overenthusiastic ally” moments, like “I wish every day was Negro Day!” and “This is afro-tastic!”, but it also goes out of its way to talk about how much Tracy has helped the black community. Like, by doing what? Being fat and on TV? That being said, she does use her privilege to feature black dancers on a major television broadcast, so by the end of the movie she becomes the person everyone says she is. Also, I’m a dumb, overweight, white, middle-aged woman, so I’m not the right person to get all indignant about a well-intentioned feel-good Broadway musical.
Final thoughts: If you love bright colors, cheese, and sincere, glossy reflections of the 1960s civil rights movement written by a bunch of white dudes, this movie is for you.

Summer’s Almost Over (So Come Spend it with Me)
Day Twelve, Side A: Exacerbate
read it here on AO3!
Blaine Anderson’s never been lucky in love.
His first crush was in third grade on Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet. Oh he’d almost burned the DVD out from watching it too much. His crush ended when his brother accidentally broke the disc and Blaine couldn’t watch the animated teen anymore. Plus, all of the other little boys were crushing on girls, ones that were real and not animated. Most importantly they were girls. So he put crushes on the backburner for a while.
His next crush was in seventh grade, on Joey Partmon. Joey was new from Texas, which may have well been a foreign country to him and the other private school kids Blaine went to school with. He was tanned under his school mandated uniform, with dark freckles and floppy red hair. Blaine loved his deep southern accent and the way he twirled his pencil around in his hand when he was bored. They weren’t close, Blaine wasn’t outgoing enough to say ‘hi,’ and Joey moved away that summer. But he did dream about kissing him on more than one occasion. That’s when he realized he was gay.
Freshman year’s candidate was Ryan Night.
He went to a public school then. He and Ryan were the only two boys in their choir, which already put a huge target on their backs, not to mention the fact they were both gay. Blaine still doesn’t know if it’s a blessing or a curse, but he was able to hide it. Ryan wasn’t as lucky. But it didn’t matter, they were friends, brought together by this horrible thing they had to deal with. The whole situation turned into something beautiful. So when Blaine asked Ryan to homecoming, he expected everything to go fine.
He’d be proved wrong, of course. So he took a break from crushing for a little while. In fact, he took a break on everything, for about a year.
Everything was different when he came to Dalton. The kids, the students, the zero tolerance bullying policy. It all kept him safe. So he joined the Warblers and became their leading man, not because he was gay or straight, but because he was good. They kind of idolized him, and he suddenly had this giant group of friends. That’s when he met Jeremiah.
Maybe it was because he was finally out and proud, but his crush on Jeremiah felt so different. It was almost like love. He was older and wiser than Blaine, and so so cute. And as the days ticked on and the boy was all he could think about, he decided he had to do something, and he had to do something big.
Safe to say that totally backfired. Blaine promised himself to never let a crush get that serious again, not until he was sure. And that plan had worked, until now. Because he met Kurt Hummel.
They actually met at NYADA, at a Midnight Madness competition.
Blaine had been dragged there by his friend Leslie, who wasn’t actually a singer but a dancer, she just liked drama. So he went, dressed in sweatpants and a Dalton hoodie, and sat in the back. The whole place was honestly just a giant fire hazard, and the heat from the candles was making him sweaty. They were waiting on someone apparently. Rachel Berry, the senior who had won last year. Blaine knew she had a reputation of being a diva, but good Lord she was taking forever. The crowd of theatre geeks was becoming antsy.
“Wait!” The door opened and shut in a swift motion, blowing out a few candles by the entrance. The young man’s chest heaved, like he had just run all this way. “Rachel’s out sick. But I’m here, I’ll do it in her place. The dim light blocked out most of his face, but Blaine could see the outline of him; slim and tall with a smile that lit up the room. Was it weird to be attracted to a shadow?
The moderator nodded. “That’s fine, Kurt, we just need someone to challenge you,” he said. Kurt stepped into the ring in the center of the room and took Blaine’s breath away.
It had to be illegal to look this good at twelve in the morning. Whereas everyone else was dressed in casual clothes and pajamas, Kurt wore tight jeans and a cream sweater so soft Blaine wanted to reach out and touch it. His pale skin was painted tan from the candlelight and his hair stood so high and perfectly coiffed on his head Blaine was sure it must have taken hours to fix.
“I’ll do it,” Blaine offered, cringing at himself when every pair of eyes turned to him. He could have smacked himself in the forehead. He didn’t come here to compete, he didn’t even come for the drama. He was going to horribly embarrass himself and be forced to switch careers. Slowly and on shaky legs, he made his way to the center of the room.
Kurt smirked and said, “You’re going down.” But his eyes were gleaming with mischief. Blaine almost smiled himself, but the moderator whispered that Kurt will go first and Blaine could sit back down. The song is announced, or whisper-yelled, to be “On My Own” from Les Mis.
The music started and Kurt took a moment to close his eyes, drinking in the silence before performing. And then he sings. He floated atop the song like a leaf across water, dipping in and swirling through the melody. He sounded like he might cry, and Blaine felt a tear threatening to slip out of his eye. That’s when he knew he wouldn't win. Emotional ballads had never been his thing. And when only fifteen people gathered on his side of the room and waved their hands in silent applause, he didn’t care.
“Hey, Blaine is it?” Kurt asked when Midnight Madness had ended and students poured out the doors and back home or to bars. Blaine’s eyes went wide. Leslie spotted his fear and left without him, blonde braids swishing behind her. He was going to kill here.
“Yeah,” he replied, breathily as he turned around and finally got a good look at Kurt’s eyes. Icy blue and gorgeous, Blaine felt stripped down under his gaze. “You were really amazing, I mean obviously since you won but…”
Kurt bit his lip to hide his smile, and Blaine guilty pocketed the moment for a later time. “Thanks, but you were great too. I couldn’t imagine being a freshman and being able to sing like that.”
“Ah, I’m actually in my third year,” Blaine said, rubbing at the back of his neck. It wasn’t his fault, he didn’t do too many extracurriculars at NYADA, not any he imagined Kurt would also be a part of.
“Oh! I’m so sorry,” Kurt apologized, face flushing pink. “Um, I was wondering if you wanted—”
“I should go,” Blaine interrupted, feeling more and more embarrassed as this whole ordeal went on. He honestly just wanted to go home and forget the whole thing even happened.
Kurt actually looked a bit upset for a brief second, but he caught himself quickly and went back to his bright smile. Props of being an actor. “Right, well, it was nice meeting you, Blaine.” He nodded and walked off and out of the glass double doors.
This time, Blaine did smack himself on the forehead. He was so stupid. Kurt was going to ask him out, wasn’t he? Or at least for coffee, everybody drinks coffee super late. He trudged out of the doors and down to the subway, trying his best to not think of himself as a total screw up when it came to love. But he did check Kurt’s Instagram on the ride home. Just to look.
“I’m going out! It’s my grandmother’s birthday and she misses me,” Leslie said even though Blaine already knew she was leaving. The red party dress he helped pick out popped against her dark skin.
He closed his journal and glanced at his roommate.“Tell her ‘happy birthday’ for me!” Leslie just kissed his cheek in response and shut the door behind her, leaving Blaine alone for another quiet evening.
It was finally summer, another year of college completed. Blaine had decided to stay in the city instead of going back home like a lot of students did. Not that he didn’t enjoy Ohio or his parents, he just didn’t feel like the cold small talk that would follow him the entire summer. The only thing he missed was the weather. It was a scorching summer this year in New York City, and Blaine had always preferred the cooler months. The whole city felt as though it had been placed in a boiling pot, and Blaine and Leslie spent most of their days inside at work or avoiding the heat. Their nights were spent partying on Leslie’s part, or curling up to watch a movie for Blaine.
If he were being honest with himself, he had no idea what he was going to do after college. Being a Broadway actor was no guarantee, if he would even make it there. He had heard of graduates from NYADA, bright eyed and filled with dreams, fizzle out like burning stars and end up in jobs that they didn’t even major in. Blaine couldn’t end up like that, he’d be proving his dad right.
So he had a moleskine journal filled with songs. The kind of music he sang in the shower. Poppy love ballads and short and brash breakup songs, even though he had never been broken up with before. The other people who had ever heard them were Leslie and Will, an ex-fling who he had mistakenly let get closer than he should have.
A set of sharp knocks at the door snapped him out of his thoughts.
“You have keys, Les!” Blaine yelled but got up anyway. She probably forgot her keys. The knocking didn’t stop until Blaine swung the door open, gaping at the sight.
“Hi,” Kurt gasped, looking just as surprised as Blaine probably did. His hair was dripping wet, and he had...shower shoes on?
“Are you okay?” Blaine asked. “How do you know where I live?” He ushered Kurt inside.
“I don’t, and I am,” Kurt said, running a hand through his hair. “I saw Leslie leave and asked if she could help me and she said her roommate was home? I didn’t know you two lived together…” He glanced around their living room.
“Oh, we’re not dating, I’m gay.” Kurt’s eyebrows knitted together, that wasn’t what he was asking at all. What was it about this guy that turned Blaine into a complete idiot?
“Um, what did you need help with?”
“My shower isn’t working, and I have a date in an hour,” Kurt groaned. Blaine tried to make his heart stop freaking out at the mention of a date. They hadn’t spoken beyond Midnight Madness, save a nod in the hallways on the off chance they passed each other. “Can I use yours, please?” He pouted and poked his lip out, as if Blaine wouldn’t have said yes before.
He gulped. “Yeah, yeah. Of course.” He squeaked despite his best efforts and led Kurt to his bathroom. At least he didn’t have to worry about it being dirty. Leslie was a bit flighty, but they both shared their germaphobe tendencies.
“You just turn the water on like this.” Blaine twisted the knob left then right until it clicked to get the water to the hottest setting. When he turned back around, Kurt had already taken his shirt off. Blaine’s mouth went dry. When his biceps flexed when he moved to unbutton his pants, Blaine covered his eyes and shut the door as fast as he could, not wanting to further exacerbate the situation.
He was almost at his room, ready to bury his head into his pillow and just scream, when Kurt knocked on the bathroom door and said, “Stay?” So soft and barely loud enough over the rushing water that Blane just had to stay.
“I’m here,” he smiled and slid down the other side of the door until he was sitting. “What’s up with your date?” he asked, trying not to sound so bitter.
Water splashes the ground and Kurt yells through the door, “Oh, some guy kept asking me out, for like months. And I eventually just said yes.” Blaine heard a groan from inside the bathroom, and ignored the way all the blood rushed to his face. And other places.
“Do you even want to go out with him?” He didn’t mean to be nosey, truly. But the way Kurt described him, the guy kind of sounded like a dick.
It was a moment before Kurt responded. “I guess. It’s been a while since I’ve been on a date, so…” There was a soft click and the water stopped pouring.
“I get that. I’ve actually never had a boyfriend before, so the only dates I’ve had are usually followed by a messy hookup,” Blaine said. He didn’t know what it was about the whole ordeal that made him want to spill all of his secrets out. His head eventually caught up to what he said though. “Sorry, that was inappropriate.”
“Come in here.”
Blaine shook his head from the narrow hallway. “No, no it’s, that’s–”
“Blaine. Come inside.” Kurt’s voice was deep and stern, but when the door opened, he was laughing softly. Blaine thanked God he was dressed, because he was totally prepared to faint if he wasn’t.
“I have a deal for you,” Kurt said, drying his hair with a towel. “If my date goes terrible, I’ll call you. If it goes well, I’ll still call you.” He grinned and handed Blaine his phone.
It was crazy how contagious his smile was. Blaine felt his lips tug upwards as he typed a smiley face next to his name. “What’s in it for you?”
Kurt rolled his eyes with that same smile on his face and took his phone back. “Getting to hear your voice, or course.” He squeezed past Blaine, who’s limbs had temporarily planted into the floor. “Thanks for the shower, Blaine.” He winked, freaking winked, and Blaine heard the door shut softly behind him.
He smiled alone to himself in his foggy bathroom and turned his ringer all the way up.

Crol’s Top 10 Cardcaptor Sakura Episodes
Hey all! Decided to make a list of my top 10 CCS episodes. This will include episodes from the original series and Clear Card!
In all honesty I have a really hard time with Top 10 anything, but this was actually pretty easy!
All images taken from suppi.net
10. Sakura and the Sakura from the Dream (Episode 40)
“It’s all right! Everything will definitely be all right!”
This episode feels very off, and I love it. While it’s not necessarily “creepy” in a traditional sense, watching it you just sort of feel off when the group is inside Tokyo Tower. Nobody is around, its eerily quiet. You very much feel Sakura’s disoriented state here, and it truly does feel like you’re experiencing the dream WITH her.
Sakura becomes more and more distressed when she looks out the window and finally sees her mysterious dream fully: with Miss Mizuki being revealed as the shadow figure on the tower. Just as things seem like they’ve reached a breaking point for our dear heroine, the version of herself from the dream comes over, holding her hands, and saying the invincible spell to her. You definitely will be all right, Sakura!
9. Sakura’s Dizzy Fever Day (Episode 39)
“A gentle hand...this hand...it’s mother’s hand.”
Le’ts be honest: I’m a sucker for pretty much any episode that Nadeshiko comes down from heaven in, lol. And The Mirror. This one features both! Our poor Sakura comes down with a fever, but keeps it a secret as to not worry her dad or friends.
Unsurprisingly, everyone around Sakura is extremely observant of her and can tell right away. And then of course, today is the day that The Cloud decides to make its debut. Sakura of course, doesn’t take the day off Card Captor-ing because of her fever, and uses The Mirror to take her place in bed while she runs off to seal it. While this only makes her fever worse, mama Nadeshiko comes down from heaven to heal her. Still being a typical worried mom, even in the afterlife. This episode may not be much to others, but to me it’s very sweet and heartwarming!
8. Sakura and Tomoyo’s Lost Voice (Episode 37)
“This is the second time something like this has happened! It’s always Tomoyo...”
We get to see constantly just how deep Tomoyo’s love for Sakura goes, so I always appreciate it when they show that Sakura loves her dearly, too (although in a very different way than Tomoyo does...). In this episode, Tomoyo is preparing for a choir competition, where she sings a solo. So naturally, a Clow Card is here to steal her voice! I guess it’s just that nice of a voice. Sakura’s look of sheer panic, and the way she drops her pom-poms and runs to the choir room upon overhearing the teacher ask Tomoyo what’s wrong in a panic always gets me. But I think the thing that breaks my heart the most about this episode is how Tomoyo’s mother reacts.
Until now, anytime we see Sonomi, Sakura is around, and Sonomi obsesses over her, almost to the point of ignoring Tomoyo. But now we finally get to see mother and daughter together, just the two of them. Sonomi is immensely worried about her, and holds Tomoyo in her lap, telling her that she will skip work the next day to take care of her. A look of contentment crosses Tomoyo’s features, as if she is thankful that her mother cares so much about her.
Thankfully, everything turns out okay as Syaoran has the idea to use The Song to mimic Tomoyo’s voice, luring out The Voice card so that Sakura can seal it! At the end of the episode, Sakura and friends go to Tomoyo’s choir recital, and Tomoyo tells Sakura that she wants to perform the song specifically for her, and sings “To My Friend.” I have this song on my phone, I love it so much!
7. Sakura and the Sports Day of Flowers (Episode 10)
“Your mother really loved my mother, Tomoyo.”
“Yes! I love you too, Sakura.”
“Me too!”
Another Tomoyo and Sakura centric episode, hah. I remember this episode always stood out to me for some reason, even when I first watched the series nearly 9 years ago.
It’s sports day at Tomoeda Elementary, so of course our highly athletic heroine is excited! (Side note: I love that they made Sakura athletic! It’s not too often you see female characters that are extremely feminine and gentle and also athletic. It’s a nice change). Sakura is having fun: running marathons, doing obstacle courses, trying to compete with Syaoran to win Yukito’s affections....typical! During lunch break, Sakura is introduced to Tomoyo’s mother: Sonomi Daidouji. Sonomi tells Sakura she looks very familiar, and asks Sakura what her surname is. Just as Sakura is about to tell her, Fujitaka shows up, enraging Sonomi. Turns out that Sonomi was in love with Sakura’s mom (who was also her cousin...probably distant cousin, though), Nadeshiko, and always hated Fujitaka that he “took her away” and that she lived out the rest of her days with him.
Something about Nadeshiko’s dynamic with her family, particularly her grandpa and Sonomi (the two she was closest to), is that it seems as though they completely cut her off when she went off to get married at 16 to her teacher (I mean, to be fair, I’d be upset too, hah). As much as they loved her, they didn’t speak to her for the next 11 years, and each carried an immense amount of grief and regret when she passed and they hadn’t been on good terms with her. They were so disconnected that they didn’t even seem to be aware that Nadeshiko had given birth to two children. I can’t imagine how lonely and hurt Nadeshiko must’ve been :(
Anyways, the sports festival is interrupted...by flowers. Thousands and thousands of flowers, raining down. Not to worry, it’s just the work of our friendly neighborhood Clow Card: The Flower! She just enjoys big events like this and wanted to make everyone happy with some flowers! Her power proved to be useful at the end, gifting Fujitaka and Sonomi with Nadeshiko blossoms.
6. Sakura and One More Sakura (Episode 25)
“What will I do if something happened to my brother...?
The Mirror is here! My favorite Clow Card!
People have been spotting Sakura causing trouble around town: messing up shop displays, messing up some children’s sand castles...Sakura is horrified by the accusations, and becomes worried after hearing that people who see their doppelgangers will die. Meanwhile, as Touya is walking home from school, he sees....Sakura? He decides to follow her into the woods as she tells him she’s lost something important in there. She ends up luring him further and further into the woods, where he slips down a hill and hurts his leg.
Back at home, Kero shows Sakura how to use fortune telling to see if it’s a Clow Card mimicking her image. The Clow Card fortune shows the cards: Illusion, Watery, and Shadow. It then shows The Flower, and Sakura sees peach blossoms (which Touya’s name means), and realizes that it is a card that is targeting him.
After finding them with the help of Syaoran, Sakura becomes enraged that this card has hurt her brother. She learns that to seal it, she must first guess it’s name, and realizes that Illusion, Watery, and Shadow were clues as to what this card is: Mirror.
Truthfully, I’m not sure what Mirror’s intention was by luring Touya off a cliff, as she seems to instantly feel guilty (and then later has a crush on him, hah). But I still love her!
5: Sakura and a Game of Tag in the Garden (Episode 77/Clear Card 7)
“I must be more....more...gentle!”
FLIGHT!!! My favorite Clear Card! It’s so cute :) (Fun fact: I made this dress last year! It was my first attempt making an entire outfit so it sucked, but I learned a lot and it was fun!)
Sakura wants to figure out the purpose of her most recent Clear Card, Record, so who better to ask than our friendly neighborhood Tomoyo Daidouji? Sakura and Kero go over to her house and have some fun using Record (another favorite Clear Card of mine). Syaoran also stops by, and thinks Sakura looks adorable in her new dress, hehe. Sakura suddenly begins to feel a presence, and the fluttering of something, and chases this thing all throughout the garden. Turns out it’s nothing but little ole Flight, just feeling nervous because Sakura is chasing it! She realizes then she must be more gentle and friendly with this card, as it seems a bit skittish. Overall a fun episode!
4. Sakura, Syaoran, and the Elevator (Episode 57)
“...SAKURA!”
Oh boy. OH BOY. This episode!! I’m pretty sure this episode would be on any CCS fan’s top 10 episodes list.
Sakura, Tomoyo, Syaoran, and Eriol decide to visit a teddy bear exhibit. And our dear Syaoran...he FINALLY decides (through a fun little musical montage of Sakura running around having fun) that he is going to fully accept his feelings for her, and stop trying to deny them. There’s such a change in him from here on out!
Their fun day takes a turn however, when Sakura and Syaoran enter an elevator that mysteriously loses power (thanks to a certain reincarnation of Clow Reed...). Sakura grows worried, hoping that help will come soon, and Syaoran tries to comfort her. Just then, things really go haywire and half of the elevator suddenly disappears. In the chaos, Sakura stumbles backwards into the abyss, and despite his efforts to save her, Syaoran fails to grab her hand in time (hmm, I seem to recall an alternate dimension version Syaoran that failed to grab Sakura’s hand in time...) Syaoran is completely devastated, and cries out her name, for the first time ever! I believe that up until that point, he had never even addressed her as “Kinomoto” before, so for him to go straight to just “Sakura” was a big deal!
Sakura of course, is okay, having changed The Float to carry her back up to safety. Syaoran is so relieved that he pulls her into a hug :D
Later on, Sakura calls him on the phone to thank him, and asks if she can start calling him “Syaoran-kun” now! Babies.
3. Sakura and the Clear Cards (Episode 71/Clear Card 1)
“Force without master, heed the call of my Staff of Dreams and become my power! SECURE!”
I. LOVE. this episode. I’ve probably seen it 10 times now. It’s the very first episode of Clear Card, and also the first episode of CCS in 18 years! It’s such a perfect intro to the new arc, jumping right into Tomoeda once more! I also wanna say how amazing it is that the voice actors all sound EXACTLY the same after so long!
Sakura starts middle school, Syaoran returns, and OOP! The Sakura Cards go blank! And then a new key/staff appears! And then a new card appears!!
2. Sakura, The Shrine, and The Zoo (Episode 84/Clear Card 14)
“It’s okay. I’m here.”
I remember the night this episode premiered! The whole fandom went nuts. It was great!
Wahh...you guys remember back when Syaoran was a cocky, entitled brat? Who called Sakura dumb and tried to be her rival? And now he’s pretty much the #1 boyfriend ever???
This episode is...weird. Really weird. Up until now the whole series has remained pretty light-hearted...and then this. Sakura accidentally gets sucked into an illusion world where all her friends have become animals. Everything has such a strange, almost side vibe. Even though they are still partially humanoid, none of her friends speak, or even seem to be aware of her presence. And suddenly a giant fiery tree emerges from the ground threatening to kill them all?? And then comes Syaoran, totally not using the Sakura Card “Time”, helping Sakura to calm down and reassure her that everything is okay....T_T
And now, before we get to the #1...it’s time for some honorable mentions!!
- Sakura’s Tiring Sunday (Episode 4)
- Sakura’s Scary Test of Courage (Episode 17)
- Sakura and the Room with No Exit (Episode 72/Clear Card 2)
- Sakura, Rainbows, and Grandpa (Episode 90/Clear Card 20)
And now my #1 pick!!
1. Sakura’s Thrilling Aquarium Visit
“Besides, you...and I...we’re...datin—!”
You guys probably saw this one coming XD But I just love it too much!!
Sakura and Syaoran’s first real date! In the manga they actually went to a botanical garden. But I really like that they made the episode at the aquarium, as it’s a callback to episode 3 from the original series of when Sakura went on a “date” with Yuki to the aquarium! So many great references to that episode, from the tank breaking, Toya being the waiter (lol), the way that Sakura, Tomoyo, Kero, (and now Syaoran) snuck in at night. Syaoran’s interaction with Toya is so funny/awkward, and then he apologizes to Sakura for being rude, saying that he should be more friendly towards Toya since he and Sakura are dating now. Lots of good stuff! And then how Syaoran carries Sakura out of the water after she gets sucked in...:D
Anyways, thanks for reading this (if you did read it all lol) I want to do more posts like this for other series!!
#i've had this as a draft for months and now i'm finally finishing it and posting lol#ccs#cardcaptor sakura

Explore the story behind my personality!
It was Saturday and the wind blows coldly outside in the ***** day of ******* year 200*. The tick-tock-tick-tock of the clock rings and the time says it was eleven fifty six in the evening (11:56 P.M), the daughter of Mr. ****** and Mrs. ****** ****** was born and named the baby “Heidie ****”. I’m a blessing from God for them and I’m proudly to say that I am their first born.
Green grass, fresh air and a wide sugarcane plantation is the place where I lived and grew up. ****** ***, ******** had a special place in my heart because this is my home and where I truly belong. This is my hometown and this place is my comfort zone.
When I was two months old, my grandmother took care of me since my father and mother always go for work. I am Lola’s girl since then until now. I slept in my grandmother’s house even though our house is just few steps away. As time went by, another blessing from God for our family was born and my younger sister named “****** *****” who was just three years younger than me.
All of us in the family are Iglesia Ni Cristo member and proud of our divine election. I am also a church officer where I always fulfill my church duty every Thursday and Sunday. When I have a problem, I always go to the church to pray and let God help me to pass all the struggles I’m facing.
I really love cooking. Since when I was a kid, I always watched my parents cooked our food and eventually it became one of my hobbies. I also love music even though I can’t play any instrument because music feels so good and relaxing when I am perplexed or distraught. Reading and writing poems and stories are one of my favorite things to do when I’m bored. These help me a lot in expressing my thoughts and feelings and these also help in improving my skills that might be useful for me in the future. Photography is also one of my hobbies, I always capture the beauty of nature because it gives calmness and peace for me. Nevertheless, I felt disappointed in terms of behavior when someone is selfish, self-centered and irresponsible. There’s no improvement when they won’t stop in doing these kind of attitudes.
“Let your weaknesses be your potential strengths” is my motto in life because it inspires me even more to fight and overcome my weaknesses and not just easily give up when I can’t do anything I want. Being motivated by my weaknesses help me to do something great and let it be my strength for some reason.
My Childhood memories is really worth-remembering. During Saturday morning, my cousins and I played tumbang preso, Chinese garter, piko and hide and seek. When my grandmother shouted, I run fast going back home because it’s time for our lunch. We ate lunch outside, under the tall trees while fresh air blows. During Sunday, I woke up early to attend worship service and when the time reached 6:00 P.M, I’m going back home from playing because it’s time to watched my favorite kid show “Goin’ Bulilit”. It was great to look back and reminiscing the days when I was a kid, only outdoor games make me tired, only the games make me hurt. No problems, no worries. But now, we grew up and our childhood memories will remain in our hearts forever.
Year 200*, when I graduated in Day Care and I was just four years old that time. The time passed by and I entered a new school who became my home for six years. I was just five years old when I began to study and be one of those Grade one students once I passed the examination given by our principal. Despite of my young age, I can also do what my classmates do. Way back then, I'm also one of the Band Majorettes in school, that's why, dancing becomes my passion but as I grew up and I entered High School, shyness and low self-esteem filled my system and I wasn't able to dance in school again. Age is just numbers and dream is huge from it. Six years in Elementary was fulfilled and 20** when I graduated. Another chapter in my life book ends and a new chapter began.
Junior High School days are really unforgettable. These days shaped my skills and capabilities. ****** National High School has been a home for me where I can look back because this is where I truly found where I am good at. But just like a movie, it has an ending and 20** marked the calendar, it’s time for us to bid our goodbye to our beloved school.
SHS in *** truly challenged me not just only as a student but also as an individual. This is where I showcase my skills and capabilities as a person. From being a shy type person turns to a new me that I thought I couldn’t be in the past. I study hard and strive hard to make my parents proud. I also learned in my senior high school journey that time is really important because every seconds passed, opportunity comes, so, don’t waste it. I know one day, I’m going to wake up and new school welcomes me, this year will be a new milestone in my life. Few months to go and we’ll finally hear “Congratulations Batch 20**-20**” and when that time comes, I could finally say that I survived being a senior high school student and I survived being a Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) student. “I am a Humanista and proud to be one” a quote that will stick in my mind and will mark in my heart.
School days won’t be memorable if I’m alone. These people whom I always get along with plays a special role in my life. They’re one of those people who completes my life as a student. They are *******, *****, ******, ******** and ******, my best friends. We’re together in studying hard for our dreams and we’re together in achieving it.
Here's ****** *********, a person who’s also special in my heart. She’s my best friend for life. I met her when we’re junior high school. We’ve study in different school, I’m on ***** while she’s on ***, but despite of this situations, we find time to bond and get along with each other.
Another person a place in my heart. He’s ****** *****, my guy best friend. Distance really matters that’s why we don’t see each other often. He’s also an Iglesia Ni Cristo member and we only see each other in church activities. Despite of the distance, we always supporting and cheering each other whenever there’s a problem or even achievements.
I’m not here to brag, I just want to inspire someone by saying this, I am a consistent honor student since Day Care. Being an honor student isn’t easy. Pressure is always on top. But for me, failures are great because I know I have my weaknesses and failures thought me not to give up and it creates a lesson that I always remember for the rest of my life. Failure is an experience and we shouldn’t be afraid of falling because chance is always there and we need to stand again after we fall and fight for our dreams.
“Proud kami sayo ng Papa, Ate”, these was the words from my mother when I announced to them about my achievements in school. Tears started to fell in my eyes when I read the message of my mother thru SMS. That time, my mother was in the hospital to take care of my aunt who gave birth to my cousin while my father was on work. Deliberation of card was held and my grandmother was the one to attend because my parents weren’t home. Sadness filled me but that loneliness turned in gratefulness because of those message. I’m not expressive to my parents about my feelings and also they are and these message is truly unforgettable one.
I am an aspiring Psychologist who would like to be successful someday. Nobody knows what our future will be but I'll let God help me decide appropriately according to His will and plan. I would like to be a psychologist someday because I was being depressed in an early age but unlike others I'm not suicidal because I believe life is precious, I just lost myself and not being able to find where I'm passionate at. I thought my life isn't interesting but God lead my way and woke me up from the nightmare of depression. I fully regained myself and confidence again and I would like to help those people who undergo depression and motivate them that there's more to life. I am proud to be a depression survivor and life is a blessing, so, make the most of it memorable. God made us and he will never forsake us in different situations we encounter.
Participating in a church activity is really exhilarating but participating in Worldwide Walk for a Cause held in Roxas Boulevard that got a Guinness Book of World Record is extravagant and being one of those choir members who represent our cluster and compete for the District Chorale Competition is truly a great opportunity for me, a worth-participating event it is! It was really unforgettable not just only for me but also for all the brethren around the world. To God be all the glory!
"We have our own purpose in life but we can't see it immediately, we need to strive hard to look for the main reason why God let us live in this world. We need to persevere to make our life worth-living for. Dream high, soar high and aspire, success is on our way if we endeavor for it."
-Heidie **** *****

problem
“You know, as far as clandestine meeting places go, you’ve really disappointed me with this one,” Draco said as he wandered into the auditorium and laid eyes on Greta, his show choir director, sitting in the front row. “When I got the note Meet me in the auditorium at eight, no questions asked with your initials, I went over initials of people that may want to make out first. Turns out it’s you.”
Greta turned around to look at him, an exasperated face expression on his face. “I forgot you can’t approach anything without sarcasm,” she said. “Never mind, then. I’ll find someone else.”
Draco ran the last couple of steps down to the front row and stopped Greta from getting up before he sat down on the edge of the stage in front of her. “I won’t be sarcastic anymore,” he promised her. “I’m here. What’s up?”
Greta learned forward, head leaning on the palm of her hand and elbows on her knees, and looked at him from there. “We both want to win nationals no matter what, right? With whatever means necessary?”
To those statements Draco could nod agreeingly. Some people thought show choir was a joke. It wasn’t. The best young and upcoming performers competed against one another in the hopes that a performing arts school would accept them. It was a ruthless fight, and Draco was known not to care what he had to do to win. That rang even more true this year, since it was his senior year and he refused to leave without a nationals trophy.
“Whose tires do you want slashed?” he asked. “What show choir do you need intimidated? Or do you want us to trash someone’s garden?”
Greta frowned at him briefly before she chuckled. “As much as I appreciate the enthusiasm, that’s not exactly what I was looking for,” she said. “We got our competition for regionals in the mail today and there’s one thing I’m worried about.” Draco leaned forward, waiting. Greta was quiet for a couple of seconds, clearly to add to the drama of the situation. “Her name is Cho. She’s the lead soloist of a new show choir. I want you to crush her spirits so badly she can’t sing well.”
That surely surprised Draco. He was the show choir captain for a reason: he was not only the best, but also the most willing to do whatever it takes. Generally unable to take directions, he had taken to Greta quickly because she talked to him instead of told him what to do. She also saved him from a few precarious situations. It meant that Draco would do about anything for Greta and their shared goal of getting that trophy. He hadn’t expected to be crushing anyone’s spirit before competitions, though, but couldn’t say it bothered him.
“It sounds like you have a plan,” Draco observed. “What do you have in mind?”
Greta shrugged her shoulders, leaned back and folded her arms over one another. Apparently this was the part of the plan she wasn’t sure about or had issues with. “I want you to make her fall in love with you,” she said eventually. “I don’t care how you do it. Start dating her. Insist to meet her friends. Make it look like you’re in for the long term.”
“She’s never going to fall for that,” Draco commented. “A day after they know who their regionals competition is, I show up out of the blue. She’ll know it. And besides, she’ll never want anything to do with me regardless. She won’t want to compete against the person she’s dating.”
Predictably, Greta had already thought of that. She smiled a little. “She’s going to run into you, not the other way around,” she said. “She’ll think it’s coincidence. And if it really bothers her that you’re on another team,” Draco chuckled softly for the choice of words and Greta eyed him, but continued regardless, “you join her team. Just long enough for her to screw up and for you to pretend like she’s broken your heart.” She looked up at him, then. “Drake. You’re the only one I trust with this job.”
Draco looked over Greta’s head into the audience section of the auditorium he called home and loved dearly. As much as he would hate to transfer, even temporarily, he knew it would be worth it to get the trophy. Everything would be worth it to get that trophy.
“Is she the only talented person in that glee club or something?” he asked.
Greta shook her head. “Just the only one I trust that won’t crumble under the pressure. She’s something else, that girl.” She sighed then and studied him top to toe, the way he leaned back on his hands against the floor of the stage, every lock of his unruly hair that was damp from the shower after practise and the signature leather jacket and watch. “Can you keep a secret?”
What kind of question was that? She knew he could keep a secret. They had done so together time and time again. “Of course I can keep a secret,” Draco said, brows furrowing as he studied Greta in return; her shoulder-length black hair and dark brown eyes that seemed troubled. Usually they were either fond or exasperated when they looked at him. This was a new look and he didn’t think he liked it.
“The girl I want you go to after – Cho,” Greta started and paused then. “Draco, seventeen years ago I was pregnant. I was young and afraid so I did the only sensible thing I could have done for myself: I gave the baby up for adoption to give her a chance at a better life than she would have had with me. Recently I found out where the baby ended up when I saw her sing at a singing competition.”
Cho, Draco realized, taking in his show choir director again with lips pressed together. They’d seen footage of the mess that was the McKinley high show choir performance at sectionals, but it had never occurred to Draco it may mean something else to Greta. And why would it occur to him? The chances of that were slim to none, after all.
What were the odds, realistically, that Greta ended up in the same area that her child grew up in, and what were the odds that they liked the same things and had the same hobbies? Clearly, she took after her mother without knowing it. That Draco could work with, because Greta he knew.
“So, to recap,” he said slowly, eyeing Greta, “you want me to pretend I’m straight, make your daughter fall in love with me, make her believe I love her too, then break her heart and crush her at regionals to get us the trophy?”
Greta nodded slowly, then pulled a face at him. “It’s evil when you put it that way,” she said. “Look, they’re our biggest competition because they have her. We can’t afford to make mistakes now. If she wasn’t who she was I would have told you to do it and it can’t make a difference. She’s not mine. I gave up the right to call her mine when I gave her up.”
Draco opened his mouth to protest that statement, only to pause. He got it. He was more Greta’s than Cho would ever be, because he at least was raised by Greta. Being a parent was about unconditional love and faith and being there through everything. Greta had taught him that. And this girl had two parents that probably loved her like that as well. It had nothing to do with anything other than show choir, not when they wanted their hands on that trophy.
He moved to get up from the edge of the stage and landed on the floor of the auditorium safely. He sat down beside Greta and looked aside at her briefly before laying his head on her shoulder. “You got me,” he said. “I’m yours. And I’ll do it. Anything to secure that nationals title.”
Greta dropped a kiss to his hair and smiled slowly. “Did you see the PS on the note?”
P.S. Bring sheet music.
Of course he saw the PS. He would never turn down an opportunity to sing.

I think I broke Tumblr because it won’t let me respond to people’s ask so I will once again take a pic of the asks and place my responses in a separate post...thing...(I don’t think that made a lick of sense I’m sorry.)
Ahhh. You didn’t ask this before. Good question. This is also a hella long response so lemme put it under the ‘read more’ (that is probably why my responses are not working because ‘WOW BITCH 600 WORDS OR LESS NONE OF THIS STORY BUILDING BULL SHIT WE CAN’T HAVE THAT HERE’)
Uhhh…so I know this isn’t very ‘legal’ but I stole Allen off of the car accident Mana had that resulted in his death. Yeah, I know. In my defense, the kid was thrown from the vehicle (Mana had an old as fuck car, like the shit before seatbelts were invented. I don’t know how he kept that piece of shit running or how he managed to get past coppers with no seat belts, especially with a kid in the car). I was a little amazed that no one from my team noticed the kid just lying there. I mean you would fucking think since they are police and it’s their job. Guess you shouldn’t expect much from a piece of shit town’s police force.
So, I stole Allen from the car accident because 1. Nobody else noticed the fucking kid thrown from a vehicle and 2. I was suspicious of Mana’s car accident (I knew the guy since high school before he went bat shit crazy and left). 3. Plus, the kid had that strange star scar cut into his forehead which was a symbol that Neah drew back in high school. That’s what tipped me off and that’s what made me take the little brat in.
Should I have taken him to a hospital? Probably. But I didn’t because I’m possessive of Mana and Neah, they were a strange duo but nonetheless the only friends I had in high school. I wanted to try and protect their reputations if I could. I know that is not okay to do as a police officer. It’s not okay to withhold evidence, but as far as I’m fucking concerned, I never wanted to be apart of the force. I just did it because Tiedoll said I would be good at it and it’ll keep me somewhat, stable condition. I still drank and shit, but at least I could somewhat take care of myself and Tiedoll could watch over me.
So, no I didn’t have legal custody of Allen and that’s also not exactly legal, but I don’t see anyone knocking down my fucking door wanting custody of him.
(Mun: However, I do have a fic chapter where I have played around with the idea of Allen’s birth parents taking custody of him, leading to Cross having to fight and win custody back. This blog is inspired/somewhat grabbing ideas from the Parent Drabble series isweartoerenimnotjaeger is doing. But I figured for the sake of story telling I’ll give a rundown version of the chapter. If you do wish to read it on your own, warning, that chapter is triggering. It was meant more to be a ‘what if’ scenario going away from the bigger plot and I might be doing a second, highly less triggering rendition in the future.)
At least, I thought I wouldn’t have anyone knocking down my door for custody of him. When the brat was 10 there was an incident of a police officer coming by telling me that the brat’s birth parents wanted custody of their kid. I know some laws may differ depending on the case, but usually when the original birth parents want their kid back, you’re kind of fucked. You can’t just keep their kid locked in your basement (I wanted to and honestly it would’ve been better for Allen and I after I learned what those yahoo’s did to him.). Once again, it’s illegal, so I had no choice but to give up Allen for a time.
Apparently, his birth parents saw him at some choir singing competition (because the kid likes singing and he’s good at it) that their second brat (Allen’s half-brother) competes in. I don’t know how the fuck they connected that “Oh it’s the son we sold off to the circus” but they did, and they took away Allen. Allen was not in any way shape or form okay with this, but sadly the law is shit about factoring in a child’s needs to begin with.
Anyways, I sent Tim off with him to keep him safe (also because I didn’t trust these birth parents of his). Tim is his comfort item and friend. It would be a crime not to send him off with the brat. Lo’ and behold, my fucking senses were correct, and his birth parents decided to use his talent at singing to try and profit off of him. They also basically ruined all the effort I put into the brat, I’m talking a good diet to keep up with his high as fuck metabolism, coping with being in crowds, trusting people, learning how to read and write. So, it’s a good thing I sent Tim with him because Tim got video evidence of all the abusive illegal shit they did to the brat. That in turn, sent me to court to fight for custody for the brat. I was fucking nervous because I know how unfair and fucked the justice system is (especially since my nose was never squeaky clean to begin with. I did some shit in my younger years and I was also a drunk). I don’t know what kind of fucking miracle occurred or who I’m supposed to thank, but I did get custody of Allen eventually. No way in hell he will be taken away from me again. His birth parents better hope to God I don’t see their asses in hell because for all they did to Allen I will be doing ten times over.
Hope that answered your question ( Mun: The chapter for the fic is 24 if any of you guys are interested. There may be a good chance this ‘lore’ or whatever you call it will change but it’s what I got figured out at the moment. I don’t want Allen’s life to be full of torture after all, we need some moments that are not super dramatic after all lol).

LOADING INFORMATION ON 1NFERNO’S MAIN VOCAL WANG WEI...
IDOL DETAILS
STAGENAME: N/A CURRENT AGE: 23 DEBUT AGE: 21 TRAINEE SINCE AGE:17 COMPANY: MSG SECONDARY SKILL: Modeling
IDOL PROFILE
NICKNAME(S): Father Wei. As the most levelheaded of the group, Wei is the subject of many jokes involving him being the father of the other 1nferno members INSPIRATION: His career as a model cultivated his adoration of the stage. His father would also sing to him in Cantonese as a child, which was incredibly comforting to him. Wei wanted to bring that comfort to other people SPECIAL TALENTS:
Languages- Wei mostly speaks Korean, but is technically fluent in Thai, Cantonese, and Mandarin. His English, however, could still use some work.
Fitness- Wei can complete 60 push ups in as little as 46 seconds (though he usually averages a minute). He also lifts large amounts of weight.
Memory- Wei has an excellent memory, which makes him good at matching games, but also makes it difficult to pull anything over on him.
NOTABLE FACTS:
Wang Wei was a low tier high fashion model from ages 15-17.
His father is Chinese, from Hong Kong, and his mother is Thai.
Despite being ethnically Chinese, he considers himself Korean, having lived in the country since he was four years old.
His family is incredibly wealthy, so he has a tendency to act a bit posh.
He played piano for six years, but he never enjoyed it. Any attempts to get him to show off his skills are usually met with reluctance.
Had he never debuted, Wei would have considered a degree in political science.
IDOL GOALS
SHORT-TERM GOALS:
It is no secret that Wei is a bit more serious than others. He is constantly seeking ways to promote himself, whether it is through modeling or commercials or any other way. The time between comebacks is not time off, but an opportunity to prove himself as an individual
LONG-TERM GOALS:
Wei would enjoy producing music someday, but because of his levelheaded nature, his position as the main vocal, and his Chinese heritage, MSG is pushing for him to become a soloist. Wei is still unsure, except that it could possibly give him an opportunity to have some agency with the group’s sound someday
IDOL IMAGE
As one of the “most adult” members in 1nferno (at least, when speaking for behavior), MSG figured Wei would be the perfect role model of the group, the foil to any bubbly, wild personalities. He was going to be suave, sophisticated, maybe a little cool. Because his parents were wealthy, he was trained in etiquette, in schmoozing, in everything many other normal people couldn’t quite fathom. He could behave. MSG wanted to utilize that charm do compete with Titanium and Nitro, to show them that they were a force to be reckoned with. They wanted Wei to be respectable and he was more than happy to oblige. Really, that was the appeal of Wei. He never tilted windmills. Stalwart, reliable Wei would never have a scandal, would never make them sweat, and would be the dream of girls everywhere without them ever risking him stepping over the line.
Unfortunately, a side effect of his clean cut (yet cool) personality is that Wei is not exactly allowed to have fun. He cannot make jokes, just smooth comments, maybe flirt a little in that subtle way of his. Of course, that is a recent development, since 1nferno has not been around for too long and while Wei is an adult by any standards there are minors in the 1nferno fanbase, which means he has to keep it minimal. It is okay to give the fans hope, just not wreck his career by inadvertently starting a rumor. Some criticize him for being a stick in the mud, always refusing to do anything dorky or nerdy or silly. It does not align with his image. Variety shows were clearly never going to be his strong suit, so MSG steered him back towards modeling, insisting it was a perfect way to make him seem cultured, to remind people he may be boring but he is still incredibly pretty. They also figured it was a good way to get his name out there before their other plans for him, particularly when 1nferno became so popular in China.
IDOL HISTORY
Wang Wei’s life began when he was four years old and his parents moved him from Hong Kong to Gangnam. It was not a difficult transition for Wei, who was young enough to adapt to the situation. He was placed in an average (albeit private) Korean school and became emerged in Korean culture. It became a part of him, as it was his home much longer than China ever was. Except, as Korean as he felt, everyone still always saw a Chinese boy. His accent could improve, he could pick up the slang, but there would always be those to point out that he did not belong. It made Wei learn to keep to himself, giving him few close relationships.
His father owned a large business conglomerate and it was always expected that he would take over as the only child. Really, he was the perfect fit for the position, at least on paper. By the time he was twelve, he got along better with his elders than he did with people his own age. He knew how to discuss politics while simultaneously not ruffling any feathers and what version of himself to use for every situation. Manipulative, maybe, but it was hardly an issue. The Wangs knew the importance of doing anything necessary to get at the top. Allies were more necessary than friendships and nothing was more important than success. His father taught him that. Nothing mattered except the goal; how you got there was of little circumstance. His father spent all his time at the office, so Wei and his mother hardly got to see him. He cared more about making his business prosper, about defeating the competition. That was probably what drove his parents’ marriage to the ground. After nine years of living in Korea, it was as much his mother’s home as his and she refused to be away from Wei. As his father was grooming him to take over his empire, Wei could hardly go back to China and live a normal life. So, they agreed to do joint custody.
From ages thirteen to fifteen, Wei was shuffled between his mother’s house and his father’s mansion. They both tried to make him the middle man, which ended in him spending all his time at after school clubs. They loved him. He never doubted that. They just hated each other more. So, he kept playing the piano, though he hated it, and joined the school choir, though he was not much of a team player, because it kept him away from both his houses. Even when he had nothing to practice, he took to going to local coffee shops, figuring it was better than listening to his mom complain about who his father was dating, or be ignored by his father for paperwork. It was during one of those aimless trips that a modeling scout approached him. Wei never had any deigns on being a model or being anything really. It was always about the family business; even his own mother took it as a given. Wei would have never considered such a rebellion had his father not announced his remarriage later that week. The small part of him that hoped his parents would make up someday died and he called the number on the card. Wei decided he wanted to be a model and that would be that. Both his parents told him how awful the idea would be. He was too young to make such a decision, he needed to focus on his studies, the head of the Wang empire could not be some common model. The discussion resulted in his first screaming match with his father and a week of radio silence after. In the end, Wei decided it would be easier to convince his mother, particularly if he pited her against her ex-husband. Really, it only took the words “dad said you would be too afraid to disagree with him”. She gave her blessing and Wei began his career. He also began an incredibly strained relationship with his father. The beginning of the end.
His stepmother and step siblings were hardly unpleasant. In fact, he got along well with them. They were certainly more sympathetic than his father, who seemed to think tough love was the only way to get him to become practical again. After his father ghosted him on his eighteenth birthday, one of his new siblings dragged him to an audition for MSG, figuring it would be a fun little story for the two little rich kids to share with their friends. Neither of them expected them to make it through the process. Wei had no classical vocal training, aside from those years of choir. Though, piano had taught him a thing or two about pitch and tone as well. After finding out where the two were, his father outright forbid him to do become a trainee. He could either quit that damn dream and being a model or he would be disowned. Wei remained full time with his mother from then on. It would be a long time before his father so much as called him again.
Wei spent the next four years juggling training and school. The happiest moment of his life was when he debuted with 1nferno, the boys becoming the closest thing he ever had to friends. Unfortunately, he did not foresee a whole new force in his life trying to control him. Wei had traded his father for MSG. They informed every aspect of his life, tailoring him to succeed in the kpop industry, even if he did not agree with their decisions.
Wei never expected becoming an idol to be easy, but he never expected for people to become hung up on his background. He considered himself Korean more than anything, but the rest of the world didn’t see him that way. They saw him as a “foreigner”, which helped with international sales, particularly in China, but made every childhood insecurity he ever felt pop up. There were also rumors about how his rich parents must have bought him into the position, which was the furthest thing from the truth. MSG took him having a solo as a given, as he was the main vocal and Chinese, which would help with their international sales.
Currently, his relationship with his father is still rocky. Wei is still lucky to receive a phone call every six months from him, which usually results in him reminding him that the business is still there and his career might not be the next time he calls. One of his stepbrothers has instead taken his former position as future heir. His mother, despite allowing him to do it, is reluctantly supportive at best.
Wei has never regretted being part of 1nferno. As someone with no aim in life prior to joining MSG, he never expected to love anything as much as he does being on stage. So, if he has to give in to MSG and give up half his sanity to do it, he will. If he has to claw his way past Titanium and Nitro, he won’t hesitate to pull the charm. He might not be what the Wang family expected, but in the end, he is his father’s son. Stubborn until the very end.

Not Another Ghost Story - Chapter 2
Pairing: Klaine Status: WIP Author: sunshineoptimismandangels Summary: When Kurt Hummel began an online ghost investigation show with his best friend and his step-brother he never expected to find himself alone in an abandoned and reportedly haunted hotel, but one stormy night Kurt finds more than he ever expected in the derelict and chilling Whispering Wolf Hotel. In fact, Kurt may have found exactly what he’s has been looking for. A story of romance, comedy, and sinister plots. Author’s Note: I named this “Not Another Ghost Story” because anyone who has read any of my other stories knows I like to write about magic, and ghosts, and otherworldly tales. This story isn’t that… not exactly at least. Chapter 2 - We meet Blaine! FF.net | AO3
Sorry for the long wait on this chapter. I had some focus problems while writing! I have the rest of this short story planned out though so hopefully the next chapters don’t take as long. This is still unbetaed so sorry about that.
Blaine really didn't know what he was doing. This was such a bad idea. When he left home he'd been so sure, so driven, so annoyed that he hadn't really thought this plan all the way through. Blaine drove out of Westerville, hands gripping the stirring wheel and replaying the conversation that had gotten him in the mess to begin with.
"Come on Squirt. We have to do something. If dad finds out someone is drawing attention to that godforsaken hotel he'll flip!"
Blaine had stared at his brother, scowled really, as he crossed his arms over his chest and shook his head at Cooper. "We? You want me to drive out there and stop them. That's not we."
"It's my idea for you to scare them out of there."
Blaine rolled his eyes, "And it is the dumbest idea I've ever heard."
Cooper wasn't deterred, he rarely was. "Listen, if you get them out of there you get all the credit with dad."
Blaine opened his mouth to protest and then clamped it down again. It really wouldn't hurt to get on his dad's good side with this, but he wasn't going to go to the Whispering Wolf and pretend to be a ghost as Cooper had suggested. That was absurd. He'd just confront the group and tell them they couldn't be there. He was sure if he stated things with enough authority he could convince them to leave. Well, he was almost sure.
"Fine," Blaine groaned in surrender. He may not like it but they did need to make sure the Whispering Wolf episode of "Ghost Investigators" never aired, he'd known that ever since the group had teased it on their website. Blaine just wished his father was in town to handle this. John Mark Anderson was a much more intimidating figure than Blaine could ever hope to be. Even Cooper would be a better choice, standing six feet tall and as handsome as a Hollywood actor, but he was being stubborn about not breaking a date he had for the evening.
That left Blaine. Five foot eight, curly-haired, and as intimidating as a Labrador puppy. He was also the one who actually had good reason to not come face-to-face with that damn ghost investigator team… that is, with one of the members in particular. Still, there was nothing to do about it. Blaine had stuffed down his annoyance with his brother and fumed out the front door. He didn't let himself think about a plan, or he'd talk himself out of this, he'd just hoped in his car, flipped the radio off when it warned of an impending thunderstorm, and driven forty-five minutes out of town to reach the Whispering Wolf Hotel.
Blaine pulled up slowly to the front of the Whispering Wolf, looking out the front windshield at the tittering old building, forlorn against dark and rumbling sky. This place should have been torn down years ago. Blaine frowned when he noticed the blue pick-up truck parked out front under the only street lamp – they were already here then. He really didn't want to do this. He didn't want to barge in there and tell this group that they couldn't be here, especially Hummel. The other two might just back down and leave, but Kurt? Blaine knew from experience what a razor-sharp tongue he had. Kurt might actually question whether Blaine had the right to tell them to leave. Which of course, he didn't.
Cooper's idea of not talking to them at all but just scaring them off the property came back to him. It was so childish, and it wouldn't work. What would Blaine do anyway? Hide nearby with a quietly whispered 'oooOOoooo' in the hopes that they ran off like frightened children? Blaine was embarrassed even thinking about it. It was just that he really didn't want to face Kurt Hummel.
Blaine looked back up at the heavy clouds ready to break and empty their rain down on the old hotel. Okay, that could be a good thing. If he was going to go through with Cooper's god-awful plan a storm would help. Crap, was he actually considering this?
Blaine drove around to the back of the Whispering Wolf to park out of sight, grabbed a flashlight out of his glove compartment, and patted his back pocket to make sure he had his phone before heading to the hotel. He sighed, yes he was doing this then.
There was a back door to the hotel that came open with just a little tugging, and then Blaine found himself in the large open kitchen. Once gleaming counters now covered in dust and dried leaves blown in from the broken windows, ruined light fixtures hanging precariously, and mold growing over the kitchen tiles. The Whispering Wolf was in worse shape than he'd imagined.
Blaine's spine tingled as he stepped further into the kitchen and flipped on his flashlight. Something quick and furry scurried across the floor and out of sight at the unsuspected light and Blaine jumped back hoping it was just a raccoon and not a huge rat. He ran his fingers through his hair and let out a deep breath. This could go wrong in so many humiliating ways.
He heard a voice from farther in the hotel and ignored his misgivings as he crept out of the kitchen and towards the front of the hotel. He flipped off his flashlight and stayed in the shadows. Kurt Hummel was in the hotel lobby recording himself doing some kind of introduction. Blaine furrowed his brow, was Hummel here alone? Where was the rest of his ragtag little "Ghost Investigators" crew?
There was no way he was marching up to Kurt if he was the only one here. Blaine wasn't usually easily intimidated; he was confident and friendly and was normally good with people. But Kurt Hummel? Kurt made him feel small, unsure, and flustered. His sharp blue eyes and even keener intellect always left Blaine tongue-tied.
They'd been rivals in high school. Blaine the lead of the Warblers and Kurt the outspoken ringleader of the New Directions, a competing show choir. Blaine had learned early on that Kurt could easily stagger Blaine with a well-chosen insult or even a pointed glare. Blaine would retaliate the only way he knew how, by staring Kurt down during Warbler performances, he'd feel vindicated when Kurt would cross his arms awkwardly over his chest and look away. It didn’t start as a way to fluster Kurt, at first Blaine looked at him during performances because something about the lovely but aloof Kurt Hummel pulled focus. Once Blaine realize it made Kurt angry though he kept doing it out of spite. Kurt just knew how to push his buttons.
In retrospect, Blaine sometimes thought it actually would have made sense for them to be friends. They were both out gay guys in a conservative area, they both loved to sing, and had a flair for dressing well, Kurt especially, Blaine admitted to himself. Blaine wondered sometimes what would have happened if either one of them were even a little less competitive. If they been friends instead of opponents. That could have been nice. Not that it mattered now. Kurt had made it his mission to tear Blaine down at every chance he got. And Blaine and the Warblers had never forgiven Kurt and the New Directions for beating them out of a chance to go to Nationals.
Blaine watched Kurt now, bright lights on his face as he smiled into the camera, his eyes sparkling and his features animated. Blaine slumped against the wall bringing his flashlight to his forehead and punctuating his whispered words to himself with light smacks to his head, "What. Are. You. Doing?"
With one last glance, he forced himself to turn away from the lobby and the sight of Kurt Hummel and grumbled to himself under his breath as he went to the back of the building again. Trying a few doors until he found what he was looking for, the servants' staircase. A plan was vaguely forming in his mind. He pointed his flashlight up the long dark staircase before heading up, swiping at cobwebs as he went. The staircase was narrow and the steps creaked as if a groaning hobgoblin live under them, the sound was haunting enough to make the hairs on the back of Blaine's neck stand on end.
He was going to go upstairs, make some noises, spook Kurt and maybe, hopefully, Kurt would just leave. The fact that Hummel was here alone was odd but could work in Blaine's favor. Blaine certainly wouldn't stay here alone in the dark and the rain if he started hearing noises from this old creepy hotel. Cooper's plan, as juvenile as it seemed, might actually work.
When Blaine reached the second floor he stood in a dark and empty hallway for a moment taking in his surroundings. The carpet was worn, the walls water stained, and it smelled like mold, dust and like something had crawled up here and died somewhat recently. Yeah, this had to work. Everything about this hotel was just creepy. Blaine wanted to run out of here himself, it couldn't be too hard to scare Kurt off since he was here alone. That might not solve the problem for good, but it would take care of it tonight and then Blaine's father would be home from his business trip and it would be someone else's problem.
Blaine opened the door to the room closest to him and found a ransacked guestroom, bedframe broken the mattress long gone, a table with chairs tipped over and a dresser that was missing all of its drawers. Blaine shivered at the cold breeze and icy rain coming in from the broken window, wishing he'd worn a jacket. He started by righting the table and chairs making as much noise with it as he could before lifting one of the wooden chairs and banging it rhythmically against the floor. He felt like an idiot and hoped that Kurt would be easily spooked so he could get out of here himself. The problem was that the storm was really picking up, he wasn't even sure if Kurt could hear him over the assailing rain and booming thunder.
Blaine walked to the door of the bedroom and stuck his head out. He could hear talking. Kurt was coming up the stairs and still recording himself. Evidentially much braver than Blaine had given him credit for.
Blaine huffed out a breath of frustration and turned to the dresser, slamming his fist on top of it hoping to make the kind of noise that may scare Kurt off. Instead, Blaine heard scrambling from inside the dresser. Blaine backed away with a startled breath as a dark shadow scurried out of the bottom of the piece of furniture with a hiss. Blaine tried to move away but whatever it was dashed straight towards him.
"Oh god no!" Blaine almost fell backward trying to get away, dropping his flashlight which blinked off with a thud as the unnervingly large rodent sprinted over Blaine's feet with a squeak and then was lost to the shadows of the room. Blaine let out a shout, grabbed his flashlight, and spun towards the door swearing under his breath as he rushed into the hallway fleeing the room and whatever primeval creature he'd just disturbed.
"Oh shit, oh shit." Blaine breathed from the safety of the hallway and then turned as he heard a voice.
"Hello? Is anyone there?"
Oh shit.
Kurt Hummel was standing in front of him pointing his camera straight at him.
Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. Kurt swore and then screamed, the suddenness of it making Blaine's stomach drop and before he knew it, he was screaming too. Blaine backed away quickly arms raised in surrender; Kurt had the look of someone who was going to start flinging things at him. Blaine's back smacked hard against something behind him and he fell ungracefully to the ground, the console he'd run into at the end of the hall toppling over with him.
He stared up at Kurt as he approached, both of them breathing quickly, eyes round and mouths hanging open, still startled. Kurt just gaped at him for a moment as if not understanding what was in front of him, that damn camera lens still trained on Blaine's face. "Anderson?" Kurt finally whispered. "Blaine Anderson? What the hell?” Blaine tensed, sitting on the floor with his ass a little sore from the fall and his ego more than a little bruised. "Hummel," Blaine replied moving to his feet so he didn't feel quite so ridiculous.
"What are you doing here?"
"I don't see how that is any of your business," Blaine said brushing off the seat of his pants, he really wasn't about to tell Kurt he'd come here with the express purpose of scaring him off. It was too absurd and Kurt already had the habit of making him feel ridiculous. "What are you doing here, Hummel?"
Stupid, stupid, stupid. It was obvious what Kurt was doing here. Blaine knew what Kurt was doing here!
Kurt lifted his camera shaking his head as if he still couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Ghost Investigators? The show I do with my friends? Did you follow me out here? You had to have known we were filming tonight… but why would you be here?" Kurt seemed more confused than upset.
Blaine was scrambling for something to say, his skin hot and his tongue slow. Why did one annoying former glee club competitor always have this effect on him? His back was opposite the end of the hallway and a big shattered window was spraying rainwater on him making him shiver. He knew he looked rather pathetic at the moment.
Kurt's confused expression morphed, his eyes growing wide, "Oh my god. Oh my god."
"What?" Blaine quickly looked behind him, his spine tingling, "What is it?" “You’re here to mess with my shoot!”
Blaine turned back to him. Apparently, his motives were transparent. “But why would you do that?”
“I’m not… it was my brother…" Blaine didn't have a chance to explain anything more – the wind roared outside sounding like the mournful howl of a lost soul, thunder crashed, and lighting sparked nearby temporarily illuminating the hallway as bright as day. Blaine's heart leaped to his throat as the whole building seemed to quiver.
"That's… a really bad storm." Blaine said looking at the rain cascading outside the window. When he glanced back to Kurt, he found they were standing nearly face-to-face. Kurt's bright blue eyes looking directly into his. "I… what was I saying?" Blaine asked taking a deep breath and a small step backward.
"You were about to tell me what the hell you are doing here, Anderson." Okay, now Kurt sounded mad, his cheeks flush pink. "Stalking me, dressed like you're auditioning for a circus-themed interpretation of The Music Man!"
That was the cutting Hummel tongue Blaine was used to, and in all honesty, a little scared of.
"I… don't…" Blaine looked down at his outfit: white pants, striped navy and white button-up shirt, with green suspenders, and a pink bowtie. He cheeks flushed, he'd liked this outfit up until two seconds ago. He glanced at what Kurt was wearing hoping to poke fun at his outfit, but his perfectly tailored slacks and snuggly fitting and stylish indigo shirt left Blaine's mind blank. Damn Kurt Hummel.
When he looked back up at Kurt's face Kurt wasn't paying attention to him anymore, instead, his focus was directed at the window and the storm raging outside.
"Maybe we could continue this interrogation elsewhere?" Blaine suggested.
Kurt laughed, "I'm not going anywhere with you, Anderson."
"I mean, maybe we shouldn't be in a nearly toppling building during a storm!" Blaine yelled over the rising sound of the wind. His temper rising as well. He wasn't sure why he was angry, Kurt was right, Blaine had followed him out here. It didn't feel good to be found out though or to have Kurt Hummel cut you down to size.
"Yeah… yes, you're probably right." Kurt said in a less confident voice and biting his bottom lip. He glanced at Blaine, his eyes no longer angry or confused, but decisive. "We should leave." He said as the building shook with another roll of thunder and lightning. "Come on. Quickly." And just like that Kurt was no longer hostile, he was focused on getting himself out of a potentially dangerous situation. Actually, he seemed to have decided to get them both out of here safely. Blaine wasn't sure what to make of that. He didn't argue though, instead, he hurried to follow Kurt down the hallway towards the entrance staircase.
Blaine would have congratulated himself on a win, it didn't matter that things had gone exactly opposite of his plan, Kurt was leaving – but the violent storm thundering outside left the victory cold in Blaine's stomach. He hurried to pass Kurt, flashlight lighting the way, mostly because he was very ready to leave this place, and partly because his competitive side had turned this into a race. Blaine smiled, not that he would leave without making sure Kurt was okay, but it would maybe help repair his pride to beat him down the staircase.
"Wait!"
Blaine didn't want to wait for Kurt, but he felt an insistent hand on his arm and Blaine came to an abrupt halt, a protest on the tip of his tongue, ready to vent at Kurt. Instead, Kurt kept a tight hold on Blaine's arm as a portion of the ceiling, not even a foot ahead of where Blaine was standing, came crashing down. Blaine's stomach lurched to his throat as floods of water poured in, along with drywall and rotted wood planks, over the spot Blaine would have been if Kurt hadn't stopped him. Blaine looked up where rainwater was still streaming through the ceiling, which was cracking and leaking like a splintered slab of ice. They couldn't continue down this way.
Blaine spun to face Kurt who was staring at the ceiling, his mouth open and his eyes wide.
"Come on," Blaine said turning back the opposite way, thinking of the servants' staircase he'd come up.
"How are we going to get out of here?!" Kurt asked frantically.
Blaine tugged on Kurt's hand, "Don't worry.” Blaine answered with a shaky smile and led Kurt back down the shadowy hallway. “I know a shortcut." [Chapter 1] [Chapter 3]
