ok i'm back. ummmm it may shock you to find that i did a lot of projecting onto xie lian in 2019 which included giving him my specific fantasies of self harm and the weight of water. and having crazy sex with the hot love of my life*. so i was thinking a lot about different modes of physical stimulation in general - xie lian is definitely a Doer more than a Ruminator and i was interested in his instinctive approach to processing upset or trauma - but like the first two were 1:1 projection and then the sex thing was bc it was fanfiction <3

i'm always interested in conversations about sex + consent, and for hualian in particular i was interested in exploring hua cheng's boundaries wrt how he would allow himself to be treated by xie lian, and specifically the difference btwn "hua cheng using sex/affection/intimacy w xie lian as self harm," which he would allow, versus "hua cheng allowing himself to be used as an instrument of self harm by xie lian," which he would not... ultimately i think neither of them is actually self aware enough to even really identify that kind of dynamic were it to occur between them, let alone explicitly name it and object to it, but that's what i wanted to write
