Its racist to be proud of being white

Today I was called racist by some of my peers because I said I was proud of being white, During a discussion about black history month some of my black friends said they were proud of being black, I told them “thats awesome im proud of my race and being white too.” They told me thats racist because its black history month and I quote “you're not allowed to be proud of being white because its black history month and thats racist.” I don't think its their fault for thinking this way, I think its the environment they are living in, Its the schools and the politicians that tell them they are oppressed by the “evil white males” the problem is that the left took over the school system and is shoving their ideologies down our throats. And the democrats that tell them “don't vote for the republicans they're racist they hate black people, vote for me because I love black people!” even though 100% of republicans voted for the abolishment of slavery and only 23% of democrats did. and back to the black history month thing, I don't think its fair that there is one, im not saying we need a white history month in fact I think the opposite. I think there shouldn't be a white or a black history month, I think having one is a step backwards to having true equality, and who doesn't want equality.
