So the reason EBG! Is so tall is because she is the daughter of millennial tree and longan dragon, she is more mean, and bashful, she is the first empress to her empire called the saint lily empire, it has many different kingdoms and it has pieces of dark cacao, hollyberry and pure vanilla cookies kingdom with all of the refugees and she has the all the cookies that are in the golden cheese king as refugees, she is very kind but just like her daddy she has eyes everywhere, across every piece of earthbread has a child of white lily living there
(EBG! Lily has too many baby daddy's and momma's)
With MIS! Lily or dove lily is the daughter of nobody
(You can take your guess and think on how her friends act to her and about how her son [gingerbrave] is doing with a Succubus as a mom)
I say it's cute, because technically dragon Lily is bigger than EA! Lily too!
Tumblr media
Dragon Lily's wings are inspired by Dragontail butterfly.
And yes, there is such a butterfly.

I was inspired by @/okartichoke’s ace avian AU to think about what kind of wings other characters would have (because I love the choices they’ve had for the designs they’ve posted so far)… and decided everyone in Khura’in should have insect wings! Huge spoilers for Spirit of Justice below the cut obvs
I like to think the wings come in at around 15-16 (or after an intense spiritual experience) so Rayfa doesn’t have hers yet by the end of the game (mostly to keep the mystery), but they’d be the same as Nahyuta’s
Nahyuta has Khura’inese butterfly wings with a white ribbon (to mimic the one he wears) and a green mitamah pattern (which’ll make sense when I talk about Dhurke’s)
Dhurke’s got green dragontail butterfly (Lamproptera meges) wings, which is where Nahyuta and Rayfa get the green mitamah pattern from! I literally only found out about it because I wondered if there were any butterflies with “dragon” in their name. Here’s a picture for reference!
Tumblr media
Ga’ran and Amara have basic Khura’inese butterfly wings, but with a more purple tint because royalty
Non-royal monks like Ahlbi have moth wings; Ahlbi’s specifically are going to be a blue tiger moth’s (Dysphania palmyra) when he’s older because they’re cool and fit his color scheme
Datz, being a foreigner, wouldn’t have insect wings so maybe peregrine falcon because paratrooper?
I’m thinking monks might decide to either trim their wings or simply not use them because it’s seen as disrespectful? The wing types among the common populace would be more varied tho (think dragonflies, crickets, beetles)
Haven’t really thought beyond this tbh (why the Feys have feathered wings as opposed to insect, the specifics of certain people’s, etc.) so if y’all have any ideas feel free to tell me!

White Dragontail - Lamproptera curius
Though today is a scheduled posting day, this post is rather last minute unfortunately. Still, I just had to interrupt the queue again post some more amazing pictures sent by SaraLi as she ventures around Asia during her yearlong trip. At time of typing, she’s enjoying Vietnam and has shared with me some unique and exotic insects. Previously, we had the Spangle Butterfly and today, I present to you the White Dragontail Butterfly! What a stunner! First thing that should catch your eye are the long tails (or tail in this case) protruding from the hindwing of this Butterfly which end with a white tip. Though they appear rather obstructive and unbalanced, this specie of Butterfly can flutter gracefully, its tails undulating as it flaps and maneuvers around. There’s a lot of material showcasing this on Youtube, usually when these Butterflies are seen gathering in small groups around mud puddles.
While this specie and the aforementioned Spangle seem different from each other, they are in fact both Swallowtail Butterflies (of the family Papilionidae). One just has far, far longer tails than the other. In fact, these tails may be some of the longest among insects. It shares this trait with its relative, the Green Dragontail (L. meges), who as the name suggests has flashes of green along the bands on its wings, vs. the white bands this specie has. Tails aside, possibly the most curious trait of this Butterfly genus are their wingtips: note how the section bordered by a dark outline is nearly transparent! This is exceptionally rare for Butterflies, though some Moths (Clearwing Moths specifically) living in Canada exhibit this trait. Look for Hemaris genus moths as examples for comparisons of wing transparency.
Pictures were taken on November 19, 2019 in Vietnam with a Google Pixel

The White Dragontail Butterfly Today I want to talk about the white dragontail butterfly, or Lamproptera curius. It is a type of swallowtail, which are large, colorful butterflies in the Papilionidae family. The white dragontail butterfly’s plain black and white coloring make it an exception to other swallowtails, but it is nonetheless quite striking to look at. Although it looks white in this picture, its outer wings are actually quite glass-like, and the long tails on its hindwing transform this beautiful butterfly into a mythical dragon-like creature when it flies.

Even More Story Ideas...But This Time With Dragons!
So, I have another idea, with barely any plot or named characters, but I’m intrigued. Tagging: @ratracechronicler, @maple-writes, and @pen-of-roses!
So, I had a dream about being locked up in a dungeon and how awful it was, and it spawned this story. There are multiple countries and peoples in this world, and they all have mixed feelings about these beings that are chained in various locations. They are trapped in their humanoid forms, where they still have the general features of wings, horns, and mostly tails. They’ve been there for hundreds of years, and no one knows why. They can use very limited magic even chained up (I just don’t know much about that), and they’re mostly feared by the general populace, who wants to keep them chained up. But there is a country that has created a religion around them, and thinks it’s their duty to free them from their chains. To that end, they take children and starve them to break down their wills, and when they’re older (early 20′s), they are sent to the being that needs a new vessel. There, the being transfers some of their consciousness into the “vessel”, and they’re supposed to take over and basically kick out the “vessel’s” consciousness/soul. But most of them don’t actually do that, but they do try to use the “vessel” to figure out how to try to unchain them. And only one “vessel” per being.
The main character is this woman called Reverie, and she is supposed to be a vessel. But when she is sent to the being, named Somber (the scientists who found him to begin with couldn’t pronounce his real name, so they called him Somber), he’s pissed off about the country starving children. He does transfer his consciousness to her, but it’s partially to help her get some food and help her get to a better place (but also partly to try and do something to figure out how to free the beings from the chains). Thus the adventures of Reverie (which she will change her name to Stelle once she starts realizing she can choose things for herself) and Somber through a world that’s hostile to them begin! I have no idea where this will go, but I do know about the beings’ backstory and what they look like (both as dragons and as humanoids)!
So, I shall talk about the backstory first. These beings are actually just a different version of the Celestials (the final paragraph in this post details about them) from All’s Fair. They change into dragons that are as big as a mountain, especially when they’re out in space, protecting the planet from invaders. But when they’re in their humanoid form, they generally have different colored skin, horns, huge wings, and a tail. Hundreds of years ago, there were ten Celestials guarding the planet, and seven of these decided they were bored and wanted to go take over another planet. After a big battle with the Celestials of the other planet, they had to retreat, so instead, they decided it was a good idea to conquer the people of their own planet. Somehow, some powerful mages were able to chain them, and they’ve stayed there ever since in their humanoid forms. I don’t know what their goals are now.
And here are the descriptions of the ten different Celestials. They’re not super detailed because I wrote this out on my phone, but I’ll try to clean them up. They are first characterized by the animal they are based off of (if they are).
Raven: Somber, he has black wings and feathers all over as a dragon but just on his forearms and legs in humanoid form, has a beak-like nose area as a dragon
Venus Girdle jellyfish: he has translucent scales that shine rainbow in the light, he has six wings (three on each side shaped together), that each look like a Venus Girdle jellyfish (translucent ribbon that looks rainbowy in the light), his eyes are pure white (no pupils even), he releases a venom in his touch that causes opponents (or anyone) to feel tired and peaceful, and he can defeat them, he's quiet and serious and protective of his friends
Someone has see-through skin on arms and legs as a dragon and as a humanoid: he is quiet and thoughtful, but when someone does make him angry, it's scary, he has scales that reflect the sky, even when he's past the planet, he did not try to take over another planet and then the people of their world
Axolotl: "horns" are external gills, pink skin with black eyes, nice tail, dragon wings, bubbly and excited, she can regenerate anything easier than the others, she is chained deep underwater so they might not have even found her yet
Spiny bush viper: They have green skin and some green keeled scales on their forearms, they have retractable fangs and venom, cool scaled tail, dragon wings, laid back
Fruit dove: green and purple and silver colored feathers, with light purple skin, a little shy, I think she's one of the ones who didn't try to take over everything
Armadillo lizard: chained woman with ridges on her back and loves fighting, grins too much for someone who's been chained in the same place for hundreds of years, has an armadillo lizard tail
Satanic leaf tailed gecko: has a flat, leaf looking tail, and her scales, wings, and tail have the pattern of a leaf in fall (red and orange and yellow), she's actually pissed off at the rest of them for convincing her to help them take over another planet and then the people of their own planet when the first plan didn't work
Green dragontail butterfly: She has the butterfly wings with black and dark green skin/scales, smaller wings than the others, calm and dignified, did not try to take over
Luna moth: He has green moth wings and antennae and double wings instead of a tail, dark green skin, looks enchanting but is cruel and enjoys seeing pain
Thanks for reading!

Alyssum of Magnolia
Species: Butterfly
Design based on: Dragontail butterfly
Tumblr media
She was too young to even remember the fall of the previous royals within Highgrove. Magnolia, a young usurper of the time, already took Alyssum in as a grubling and raised her under the reformed rules of the kingdom with the lady as a new queen. Other members of the newfound family Magnolia helped raise her within the conditions they set in stone to all Highgrovians.
While it’s hushed and never told, Alyssum was part of the poverty before her new queen but there was no need to touch upon that subject. It never matter because she was raised as a noble from the start. With those who rose to power holding the experiences of living in their lowest, the Magnolia family held a lot of aces in their sleeves: knowledgeable and informative, skilled fighters and veterans, medics that worked underground with only what they could afford, the ones discarded for who or what they are... they were all teachers to Alyssum.
Magnolia made sure Alyssum was raised, first of, as a proper lady. Second, a useful member. She was thought on social behavior and reading of body language while also keeping herself as mysterious as possible. The skills of fighting is something Alyssum never took interest in but the ruthless way of Magnolia both scared and fascinated her. With such skills, Alyssum begun to form her own attitude and persona. Reaching maturity and graduating in a sense was rewarded with spell bound wings: sewed in by the weaver on the family’s side, the bindings are of Soul and made for both defense and offense.
However... visiting City of Tears at Hallownest slightly changed her perspective. Being confident as she is, Alyssum wonders off on her own into the Fungal Wastes near the city gates. It was by chance that she met a trapper moth named Mugo who engaged in a conversation with her first. She knew how to read the look in the male’s eyes all too well. After all, it wasn’t the first time nor the last that someone would fall for her physical look so simply. At first, she was playful about it, understanding she could dump him when ever she liked but... Mugo wasn’t like that. Slowly, as they chattered more and more, spending more and more time together, Alyssum begun to realize this isn’t just someone going after her looks and position. The Magnolia emblem with a necklace she gave to him to sell at the black market, knowing it will be pricey and bring him good money, was kept safe with him because he cared. She truly fell in love with Mugo as well...
Their dates were secret, no one from Magnolia should know Alyssum was seeing a random, unimportant moth from Hallownest, a kingdom that was already crumbling and was soon to be left to die by it’s fate caused by the Pale one. She had this in the back of her head. Once the time to head back to Highgrove comes, she didn’t want to leave Mugo behind. At least, that’s what she told him to be the reason... but truthfully, she didn’t want to feel without a partner again, especially not after experiencing such happiness from their private meetings.
Mugo was then open about his opinions regarding the Magnolia and Highgrove. He made it clear to Alyssum he will not take part in such family and ways of ruling the kingdom, never wanting to go back there, especially since he did his best to leave the kingdom in the first place. His proposition of her to stay with him is when it all started to shatter and fall apart for Alyssum. How could he be so selfish to ask of her to leave everything she’s been part of and worked on so hard her whole life?
Disagreements, arguments, anger, shouting... fighting. Everything she asked of him was denied. Alyssum broke and accept it... Under the idea that he might as well die there and not wait for the infected kingdom to finish him. No. She genuinely wanted him dead for feeling so betrayed by one person she allowed herself to be... herself and not a mare persona. She herself was denied by one person she truly loved.
Mugo escaped and Alyssum’s wings of aggression. She was infuriated, disappointed, crushed, eventually sad...
Magnolia was not to stay within Hallownest for too long then. She had little time and her mind and emotions weren’t settling. Alyssum was obsessed. She understood the way things are at Highgrove that she will never have another proper opportunity for a partner like this. Mugo had to be hers... So in one last attempt, she did something despicable.
A single egg was birthed. It was so simple in her head then. He will have no reason to say no to this and even if he does, he will turn irresponsible and a terrible person. It was Alyssum’s ticket to owning Mugo. No one but herself and her personal maid knew about this act.
Despite Mugo going into hiding, Alyssum sent him a letter. A meeting at the Crossroads, near the tram station where she was to depart with the rest of Magnolia, one last time, with a little surprise... Of course, Mugo never showed up.
Hooded and carrying a small caterpillar that Alyssum never looked as a child but a tool, she waited but to no avail. Her plan failed. It hit her hard and she realized all of the things that happened in Hallownest must be left behind and never spoken of again. So she left the child behind...
After returning to her home kingdom, Alyssum grew up just as ruthless as her queen, only looking up to Magnolia from that point on. The queen trusts her to the fullest, being most loyal underling of hers. Thus, she allowed Alyssum to create her own faction of underground leaders and members called the White Magnolia. She worked on creating links to their family’s chain of power and has been so far busy with it, eventually forgetting at what happened at Hallownest, or at least she told herself that. Until...
Amalma, a young spy on a mission to keep an eye on Zeeke of Highgrove, had an interesting encounter Alyssum found out through Zeeke himself upon their return from a little adventure at Hallownest. Mugo was still alive. And he was accompanied by a girl moth with a little vessel.
Alyssum could feel, old suppressed fury set under the last twenty years of new, cold experiences, made her current, confident self know she has yet another chance... to ruin him for what he did to her.
Characteristics:
+: collegial, enduring, straight forward -: egocentric, manipulative, apathetic n: cunning, social, skilled
Inventory:
Emblem of White Magnolia: A must for a member of Magnolia and faction of White Magnolia. High pride is taken in carrying one of these in Highgrove and a radiance of fear to lower classes of the kingdom.
Seals of Spring’s Fall
Alyssum’s wings carry magic sewed in by a weaver. The bindings on her wings allow her to manipulate soul in shape of floating, spinning, twirling, slow or rapid petals that can be as gentle as a feather and a sharp as a nail when packed together and shot as high speed.
It allows her to manipulate soul within small things which is most often within growing flowers of her settlement, controlling the petals and leaves off them as well with less soul cost.
She can also generate dome shaped seal like shield around herself and use wings to hit blow enemies away from her using the said shield that takes patterns that are the same as the ones on her wings.

Green Dragontail butterfly. Now imagine- faerie/butterfly man with them wingss ooooh 😍
I was stuck between going for an arrogant creature or easily flustered one. I think we know which one I choose.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
"Honey, if you don't hurry up, we'll be late to the party," you yelled from the living room. The keys were suppose to be in the bowl beside the door, but they are missing.
A loud thump resonated from the top of the stairs causing you to look up. Laying on the ground was a silver jacket that had crumpled up from the impact of being thrown.
"Sweetie," you asked sweetly as you walked towards the stairs. A low groan came from upstairs followed by the sound of heels clicking.
A pair of shiny silver heels came into view and stopped beside the heep of jacket. You lifted your view up on the person and took them in.
He was gigantic, maybe around 7 feet and was taller with the heels. Black dress pants were low on his hips as a silk forest green shirt was loosely tucked in. The shirt was open revealing the ghostly white skin on him.
His facial features seem to be so sharp and angular. Two purple eyes narrowed harshly down at the jacket and his plump lips were pushed out in a pout.
What always stood out the most was these two giant wings on his back. The wings were black and white close to his body, but became see through on top. Outlining the shape of the wings was a more green colour that stood out against his skin.
"They forgot to put slits in the back for my wings," he whined reaching his hand into his back hair. He was careful to not grab at his two black antenna.
"That's fine," you cooed walking quickly up the stairs. On your way up, you picked the jacket off the ground before standing next to him. "You can fold your wings down and put the jacket on."
He gasp and took a dramatic step back. "No way. These wings are my highest redeeming qualities. I can't go to the party with you looking like a god while I just look like slenderman. I got to keep up with your beauty, sweetie."
"I think you look beautiful with and without your wings," you said grabbing his hand and entangling your fingers. "If someone says otherwise, I will fight them. Your beauty extends past any known boundaries. And it's not all that's on the outside that matters, what's in here matters to."
You laid your hand against his chest and leaned in. A smile came onto his features as he rolled his eyes. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you close to him.
"Stop saying such sweet things. My poor little heart can't take your adorableness." He leaned down and placed tiny butterfly kisses across your face. You giggled at the light brushes of his lips. His wings seem to flutter excitedly at those sounds.
"As much as I would love to continue receiving kisses from you, we need to leave for the party. How about this, you can leave the jacket off. I mean, you do look sexy like this."
You threw a swift wink his way before wiggling your eyebrows. A snort slipped out of him as he lifted a hand and playfully pushed you away. A light pink blushed spread up his neck and settling on his cheeks as he tried to play if off.
"There you go again. I'm going for a black, green, and white theme. Pink was not included." He turned around and strutted back into your shared room.
"Not my fault my husband is the sexiest, most gorgeous, heart throb, and drop dead gorgeous creature in the world." A squeak slipped out of him.
"Stop!" He yelled running into your room. As he entered the room, you caught his bright pink face through the top of his wings. He's the best husband in the world and those beautiful wings are a good bonus.
