Kora opened the door a crack. She saw a man and a very small girl standing there in the dark. At the sight of her the man fluttered his butterfly wings anxiously. The girl was too young to know exactly what was happening. “This is her?” Kora asked.

“Yes.”

“Bring her inside.” She opened the door to let them in. The girl, who was now paying attention, saw Kora and started to fidget with her tail nervously. She looked up questioningly at the man she was with.

“Go on,” he told her, “It’s safe.” She nervously stepped forward and took Kora’s hand.

“Her name is Eris. She’s very smart for her age, but very shy. She’s only three.”

“Hello Eris,” Kora smiled at the little girl.

“Hi.”

“You don't have to be nervous.” Eris stepped back towards the man and hugged his leg.

“Alli!” Kora called.

Another woman came running to the door, her golden tail wagging. “Awwww is this her?” She asked. The man nodded. “What’s your name, little one?”

“Eris,” she said in a small voice. Alli held her arms out. Eris stepped over to her and allowed herself to be picked up.

“Well, Eris, me and Kora are gonna take care of you, ‘kay?”

“What about Selket?” She turned to the man with wings.

“He has to leave, I’m sorry.”

“Listen Eris,” he began, “you will be safer here than you ever were with me. Kora and Alli will protect you, and someday you might see me again, okay?” Eris nodded. She squirmed out of Alli’s arms and gave Selket one last hug.

“No humans saw you, right?” Kora asked him, her tail twitching nervously.

“No. I was very careful.”

“Good.”

“Thank you. Take good care of Eris for me.” He kissed Eris on the head and stepped outside.

“Can you show Eris her room?” Kora asked.

“Sure, come on Eris.” Alli picked her up again, and disappeared down the hallway. Kora stepped outside to speak to Selket.

“How are things in the city?”

“Not any better. There are riots for our rights but most protestors are shot and killed by the police, unless they’re with an owner.”

“Where are Eris’ parents?”

“I don't know,” he sighed. “There’s a good chance they were killed in a riot or even a peaceful protest.”

“I see, and the zoos?”

“Treatment is getting better. They’re still being given bowls on the ground like animals to eat out of, but the food is human food instead of kibble for cats and dogs or raw meat. I guess they got sick of their ‘freaks’ dying from malnourishment and food poisoning.”

“Be careful on your way back home. And if you find any more orphans, you’re welcome to bring them here.”

“I’ll remember that.” He nodded to Kora and fluttered his wings, taking off into the sky.

there was a time where i was on 0m3gle and i met there 2 therian girls

we were talking, doing quads, and the question came up “what’s your theriotype?”

i said i was a barnacle, as that was the first solidified theriotype i had discovered

and they laughed and said that that cant happen because barnacles are abiotic

it made me really sad and i was in denial about beig a barnacle therian for about a year after that

then i realized that idgaf abt what others think of what i am

i am me, and there is nothing that is going to change that

so don’t hide yourself for anyone else, be yourself unforgivingly ❤️

Nonhuman Shop Update- Wing Jackets

Okay friends, this has been a long time in the making but I FINALLY have the supplies to make jacket examples. I have one vest and one jacket to work with, and I'll be making examples of both flat/painted wings and 3d/sewn wings, plus the additional painting and patches these would recieve. That being said, I need some help deciding on the initial designs! Please reblog for sample size, and feel free to tag, reblog with, or reply specific species suggestions! If I pick up any ideas from a specific blog you will be tagged in the example post. Suggesting a species will not necessarily mean your suggestion will get made, I just need example stock to take commissions with.
