(obv i think they would love any child so much it wouldnt be funny so this is just for fun)

Rafayel has a baby girl who he spoils and she turns into a rebellious sassy tortured artist despite trying to not be like her dad. As a baby she's his little dressup doll princess! Always so fashionable, he brings her literally everywhere, uses her as an excuse to leave early and forces people to listen to her babble when he wants them to shut up "Sorry, what was that princess? Tell the nice lady all about it" When she's a teen she tries sooooo hard to not be like him but cant help it. Shows up to his art shows to make a scene, unwittingly participates in performance art. He's sooooooo smug about it. Thomas' daughter babysits her growing up and ends up being an older sister figure to her.

Sylus has two little princesses that crawl all over him like a jungle gym. He's so nonchalant about it, one will be perched on his head, gnawing on his ear while he takes a call. The other is on top of a cupboard and he just catches her mid-air. They grow up and one (the younger one lets be real, even if they're twins one is younger) is the manipulator who always gets on the other's nerves. The other is just so genuine and gung-ho about everything she does. They cause so much chaos. He teaches them at shoot at age 12.

Xavier has an actual cherub baby boy who turns into a hyperactive monster at age 2. The most docile sweet big blue eyed baby is a total momma's boy that knows exactly what he's doing. Gets on Xaviers nerves allllll the time and mom is constantly stuck between the two pairs of biggest poutiest blue orbs shes ever seen. Xavier lets him watch him game as a kid and he gets really good at it. Tries to join team sports, doesnt love it but excels at track and field.

Zayne with fraternal twins, a boy and a girl. The boy is a firecracker like mom and the girl is his exhausted know it all. His dynamic with his son is bewilderment for the most part "Why would you lick that? You know we've discussed proper santitation procedures." With his daughter he's so soft and tender, making sure she's motivated to improve and be the best she can without imposing any standard to uphold. He might even actively steer her away from medicine so she doesnt feel any generational pressure. I think the son ends up being obsessed with firetrucks and becomes a firefighter, the drive to help people and save lives manifesting in his own way.

Caleb screams boy dad that only got girls and so he has 3 girls before they gave up. Not that he doesnt love them! Quite the contrary, he does everything that he wanted to do with his sons with them: builds them a treehouse, takes them to the creek to catch frogs, get them to hand him wrenches when he repairs the car and kitchen appliances. Puts them in scouts and takes them camping all the time. His favourite place to be is buried in cuddles with them. Lets them have their girly phases and paint his nails and put clips in his hair: shows up to a Fleet brief with two sparkly pink fingernails. Has a soft spot for the middle girl. The oldest girl is a mini-him and they butt heads a lot but becuase they're so similar they deeply understand each other.

idk what to say abt this, as a poc fan. i believe that her statement is sincere, especially because of her attitudes to social issues now. shes grown eight whole years since then, and while that is not an excuse for the past, she most likely doesnt hold those opinions now. the people exposing her are not doing it out of any good faith. she was 19. thats old enough to know not to do that. keeping it hidden could be seen as her hiding it, but also could be seen as her moving on.

i always feel a bit iffy when white people try to "move on" from their past racist actions instead of at least addressing it a little bit, since its not really your issue to move on from and you have to at least reckon with the harm you caused. a lot of white people tend to see their teen edgy racist eras as harmless or at least not worth digging up, (not saying that shes doing that) but unpacking that and speaking about it is important and can do good. im not saying she has to make a statement like: "I WAS RACIST IN THE PAST" and get flayed in the town square, but talking about it and how she learned and grew from it could provide a good example for her (lets admit it) mostly white listenerbase, as well as being seen as "taking accountability". however choosing not dig it up with how the internet can be is also an understandable choice and i will not hate on her/be hugely disappointed in her for this.

the only other part of the statement worth mentioning (and barely that) is the missing poster promotional, and i can see that as an careless mistake. the rest is fearmongering puriteen slop and/or blatant prejudice wrapped in a social justice coat. the idea that she is "fetishising the female experience" or somehow a zoophile is almost laughably on the nose, the type of critique that my incredibly pentecostal mother would give her, a jk rowling special. damaging and will get spread around and blown out of proportion but bait so obvious you could catch a fish with it. one is blatant TERF rhetoric and the other (while still being terf rhetoric) is practically completely made up.

the incest/CSEM allegations to me are similarly stupid but need to be acknowledged more deeply since there are many who will fall for this.

hayden is allowed to sing about sensitive topics in her art. this includes incest. when she sings about incest she is not required to put a two minute disclaimer at the beginning saying "i understand that incest is wrong. this is a fictitious depiction which is not romanticising incest in any way shape or form". she is not required to intersperse the song lyrics with interruptions to explain how incest is wrong. needing the artist to concretely explain the taboos in their artwork and why you shoudlnt replicate them in the real world is child behaviour. saying that she is not allowed to sing abiut comicated topics because it may trigger someone is disingenuous, since if someone doesnt like something, they simply should not engage in it. some things arent for you, and thats ok. not every piece of art is going to be palatable to everyone, and thats just the way of the world. she is not a bad person for singing about incest, including incest as a topic in her songs. she is not a bad person, invalidating peoples trauma or actively advocating for incest when she does this. i feel like this should be obvious, but here we are.

the shirt (for context there is an image going around of her wearing a top saying "legalise incest) is a bit crude, but isnt the smoking gun people think it is. its just "edgy humor" and if you legitimacy think that it is an actual call to actually legalise incest, then i dont know what to say to you. it also didnt come out of a vacum, being a reaction to the stereotypes of her region and what people were calling her. she doesnt actually want incest legalised, and it isnt a piece of mass merchanise either. its just a shirt she made and posted. not the best, but definitely not a horrible evil bad thing. very obviously a joke.

the csem allegations are completely untrue and pedojacketing. the character was not a minor (19) and the idea that the character was "minor coded" is incredibly dumb. minor coding, in artstyle or personality, doesnt exist. these were also a way of processing her own trauma, and bringing them back up to paint her as a villain is a special kind of evil. also, again, she is allowed to have art that is sad/messed up/deals with hard topics. art is allowed to do that. she is allowed to post that art. you are in charge of your own internet experience, she isnt forcing you to see it. this is another way to paint her as a gross pervert.

as you can see we have 1 actual issue, one sort of issue, a bunch of lies a lot of puritanism and a ton of terf rhetoric! the drivers of this hate train have hoarded this information for ages just waiting for the right moment, which is incredibly messed up and shows they dont actually care, they just want to tear down hayden due to their own predjudice. the racism allegations have been adressed, and while i am not happy with finding this out, know that she was not a child when she said and did these things and wish she talked about this before this all happened, she has moved on. from what i have seen from her current politics, she seems progressive now. to say we should all ostracise her for being racist at nineteen when she is a very outspoken social rights activist now at 27 is probably not helpful. you can choose to not listen to her music or be angry about her racism, that is completely fine, but please do not back the people who made this tweet thread. they have lied, blown things out of proportion, their supporters have doxxed her, her family and are clearly operating from a place of prejudice and hatred.

FINALS!!! Furina vs Kiana Kaslana

the girl who saved fontaine. condemned herself to a life of silent pain and suffering without any warning or preparation. she could confide in no one, seek out help from no one, all while bearing the weight of her entire nation on her shoulders. not only did her willpower save everyone in fontaine, but after the prophecy was averted, she was finally allowed to live a normal life.

Kiana Kaslana:

TLDR: she's kiana kaslana what do you MEAN!!!! kiana is a beautifully written character who fully encapsulates what hi3 is about and she's so full of love and guilt and (most importantly) hope. she's a clone who struggles with her own identity/inhumanity and traumas extending from when she was a young child and her guilt but is so so resilient and so so so so compassionate which ultimately reinforces her humanity :)

kiana's character IS the honkai impact thesis statement. i don't even mean it as in she's the literal main character and face of honkai i genuinely mean it when i say she just IS honkai impact. she reflects every single theme that they portray [hope over nihilism (chapter 25 || the flame chasers and just. the previous era in general), having agency over your identity and your own story (himeko, her being k423 and being so linked to sirin, everlasting flames || the kaslana household name honestly, bronya, fu hua, mei, sirin), believing in the humanity's inherent worth (chapter 25, arc city || elysia <- important since as a current era herrscher, she is a successor to elysia AND as kiana kaslana, she is a narrative parallel of elysia), having faith in the youth (himeko, kevin || the other flame chasers! notably su), etc.] her character being so reflective is also sooooo OUGH to think about when you view it as a reflection of honkai's 50,000 year samsara because kiana is a representation of these themes coming full circle (especially since many of these stretch back to the previous era and elysia).

SHE FEELS SO MUCH. she's so full of love and guilt. she clearly prioritizes others over herself and part of her arc is her learning to value and love herself as well!!! she would give herself for the world ten times over because she holds so much affection for humanity!! (WHILE FEELING DEHUMANIZED BECAUSE OF HER IDENTITY AS BOTH A HERRSCHER AND K423) and it's actively apart of her character's growth :'')

dear god her growth… okok. so i think first you have to understand that a lot of kiana's growth obviously coincides w general maturity as she grows from a teenager to a young adult. but aside from that i think people often forget that younger kiana is incredibly self sufficient since her father literally left her with little to no explanation when she was like. what 8? the insecurity she feels at that! the anger she has to navigate while also balancing it with her own feelings of missing and loving him. basically: kiana has struggled a lot w instability and is thus kinda good at navigating it. ex: she isnt shaken by nagazora and literally tries again and again and again to save mei and convince mei to let her help. the thing is this fucks w her a bit though because a big thing that she does as a means to cope w instability is avoiding them (not reflective of real life of course, but in the fictional hi3 this is partially represented in kiana's repressed memories about her actual origins as k423). she can not stand the realization that she killed himeko that she's so deep in denial and doesnt truly realize it until more than 10 chapters after himeko dies! she's so horrified with her being a herrscher she actively tries to not use her powers out of fear, even when it puts her in harms way (the chapter XI-EX CG!!!!!! her literally trying to kill herself!!) she literally runs away from her friends and loved ones because she's so scared of hurting them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is why her promise to himeko to not run away is so important!! because it addresses one of kiana's biggest flaws!!!!! this is especially important bc her refusal to continue her avoidance feeds into her arc during the herrscher of dominion chapters where she both faces her own guilt/identity and deliberately chooses perseverance and hope over nihilism!! she is hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

uh content warnings for discussions of food insecurity and child neglect. plz be safe <3

Rens parents were very often absent altogether, so ren lived off the free school lunches provided in grade school. konbini snacks and instant meals. fruit he'd take from peoples trees. (or on the ground) if any of his neighbors cooked or baked anything and brought it over or saw him around and invited him to have some, he'd go for it.

haname once called him 'a wretched creature' for eating every bit of some peach pie his neighbors brought over for the family. (he sat on the floor and ate it with his hands.) haname was none the wiser until said neighbor asked her about the food later.

his step mother wasn't a talented cook, so she rarely ever cooked. she only put in the effort when she expected rens father to be home. if she was preparing to cook and hiroto ended up not coming home for dinner? lord save them. those were the nights ren would have to cook. and clean up. and generally try and manage her emotions.

ren cooked for themselves and for haname at a young age. he'd buy instant meals because for a while all he had permission to use was a microwave. he would bring her an instant meal or some cut fruit to try and make her Less. Upset. when he got old enough to use a stove to cook more complex things, she'd always go out of her way tell him he wasnt doing things properly. and throwing a package in a microwave for three minutes usually involved less nitpicking. until she started chastising him for not cooking her real food.

if haname didnt end up throwing a complete fit over ren's father not being home and actually ended up making a meal anyway, it was like sitting at the table with an active landmine. if he ate too fast because he was very hungry or so he could go to his room sooner, she'd say he was being disgusting. displaying behavior unfit for society. but if he ate too slowly she'd accuse him of hating it (and her by extension) and being ungrateful. she would take his plate away and tell him she wouldnt cook for him anymore.

this problem persisted even when ren's father was actually home. by age 11 sitting down for dinner with his parents felt like a saw trap. if he ate in his room or didnt come down to eat at all, the chances of upsetting them or them upsetting Him went down. so until haname got to the point of accepting ren eating in their room, he'd often pretend to be asleep or say he wasnt feeling well. (his dad would sometimes leave him some rice outside his door, though.)

when ren was young, still in grade school, his parents told him it would be good if he liked sports. because schools love their athletes and scholarship money goes crazy. but not only was he naturally a loner and spaced the fuck out half the time, he couldnt play hard and couldnt keep up because his physical strength wasnt very good. he's a bit anemic, and his blood sugar was often so low because his diet was straight up horrible, so he'd just pass out sometimes.

ren remembers going to doctors and things. a counselor or two. but a lot of it was fuzzy, even at the time. one doctor said some stuff about about minerals and bones he didnt understand. (he literally DOESNT REMEMBER THAT HES ANEMIC) he remembers being told that something wasnt normal and being afraid that he'd never be able to dance because his bones were defective(?) and his step mother talking to his school counselor about herself while ren studied the motivational hanging kitten poster on the wall.

Akizet - The Hunt like. look at her. but no genuinely if anyone in corru would be a willing avatar it would be akizet. in life, she was a surface-runner. now, in her death, she turns those skills she learned on supposed 'monsters'. she enjoys the chase and that enjoyment in turn disgusts her. in combat, she is capable. either as a cornered prey animal or starving predator.

Idril - The Spiral not victim, not avatar, but a secret third thing. she has a weird mutualistic relationship with the spiral. she willingly subjects herself to it, unafraid, and since it cannot sow fear in her, it moves around her. untouched by it, idril can then work on it, an unfocused gaze comprehending madness. symbiosis.

Tozik - The Eye listen. he literally says 'it knows me'. he is afflicted with terrible knowledge and it is actively killing him. he is often burdened by knowledge. unwilling to speak unless he knows how to utilize it properly. where he would have previously been aligned with the eye, the contact affliction dooms him to it.

Bozko - The Slaughter gestures vaguely. equal parts victim and unwilling participant. he doesnt find any joy in the slaughter but he engages regardless. even if that is not a real choice, it is an active one. and that is all it takes. no amount of trying to throw his life away after erases the fact that when it mattered, he persisted.

Gakvu - The Extinction assigning any character extinction is hard but gakvu hits the mark for me. deeply horrified at the concept of catastrophe, masked with sarcasm and nonchalance. an acceptance that feels at odds with her refusal to go down easy. she understands the gravity of things more than maybe anyone.

(and here is where the assignments get much more shaky. those were the five i felt most confident in)

Telyu - The Lonely isolated, even in close proximity to others. her cloaking skin gives her a tangible disconnect from the rest of the world. hiding her away. keeping her safe. and that is without even mentioning the loss of her team. the sharp way she speaks about it, pained but never too vulnerable. never too attached.

Cavik - The Web this one is very vibes-based, i will admit. unwavering faith in a plan that is not his despite the distress it causes, starting combat afraid. it all feels like it could be subtle manipulation by the web. like he is being strung along. and while he does not actively realize it, the subconscious knows. it is hard to recognize manipulation when its someone you care about, after all.

Kazki - The Web putting the web assignments together. but kazki has the whole spider thing going on. and the implications that she knows more than shes letting on. really i could also see vast for her, though. but not being in control of where her friends are seems to really distress her. which works for web!

Karik - The Buried karik is not so much scared of the collapse as they are aware of it. working to avoid it, moving around it. they are vulnerable. it would take very little to crush them. yet they are active in the face of it. really it would be more correct to say that theyre at odds with the buried.

Miltza - The Stranger the stranger has always been tied to art and miltza is, among other things, a sculptor. but otherwise the concept of a grand ascension, a joining with a thing beyond 'humanity' is a very stranger concept. theres also a sense of belonging in being part of the collective unknown of the stranger. it is what she pleads for.

Itzil - The Stranger another set of assignments. but for itzil, they are distinctly the victim. convinced everyone is fake, everyone is against them. a mate whos face splits in two, a parasite wearing the groundsmind. revenge and desperation spell disaster when you think anyone could be a liar.

my hot take is people who fall too black and white on the discourse of ethics in fan fiction or queer media actually just aren't active readers

or like have no honest sense of what's read, how often, the politics of editing (watch American Fiction (2023)!!!!!!!), or like what the general discourse is between writers, distributors, or types of readers. like they dont read, they just parrot talking points in discourse they want to be associated with.

imo "proshipper" , "antishipper", "problematic ship" kinda sucks for effective communication. It sounds like you dislike people who engage in the act of shipping (an already established discourse) and it just makes the thing you're mad about harder to address. im begging you to say racism. say pedophilia. say abuse is romantized because like no "ship" exists with one unified interpretation. like that is just not how that word works. you can like just say fuck a ship but like using the characters of a ship as shorthand for the bad thing just is ineffective communication. I feel like shit that is dark porn should be labeled as such kept in dead dove spaces because everyone should be able to utilize common sense about mainstream spaces. instead people dont even know if the thing they are writing off in the ship is implied, canon, just common in the space because to learn that you'd need to go to the ship tag.

You see my point like I dont think anyone who does this is silly, I think it was worth a try and ppl can curate their spaces however they want I just think its okay to say hmm this doesnt work. The obstacle is the way, that's never gonna let you down. I think people dont give themselves enough power to change the things they need to change in their creative space. Like people used to invent new types of ship names and styles to implicate all sorts of things. Make up a smart one that always implies siblings or whatever, so you can never be misunderstood. "sibship" or a way of blending names you think communicates an idea. I think the citrus scale is still useful for telling people tone, not just rating.

I think there is a smarter way for all the good and reasonable people who just want to feel safe online to establish their boundaries than by using show and character names as labels. I dont see any downsides to always naming the evil thing by its name because calling something racist should demand its response is more serious than just the right to a positive fandom experience. racism, and other serious social ills should not be hidden behind fandom words they should speak over them. imo.

anyway I could pick up a book from any romance section, mystery section, thriller section, or so on and find two characters that end up together despite the stalking and the eye fucking and that time he gas lite her mom for years and turned out to be her dad. idk I have eaten through so many writers who have like 18 books of just balls to the walls motifs over and over again. some of us commute on the bus ya know.

rubs my silly little hands (the admin also has abandonment issues/is working through them) gonna answer a few requests then i think i might make meringue cookies (they have a weird packing peanut texture that i love. or at least how i think they would feel, admin has never actually touched or chewed a packing peanut but he likes to think this is what they feel like)

CAINE:

honestly if anything you might have to ask him to give YOU some space; caine in his spare time always wants to spend it around with you. doesnt even matter if you guys are doing something, he will literally just hover and run his mouth because he just cant get tired of you. so i think out of all of the cast hes going to be the one where to feel the most secure around since he pours his heart out about how much he loves you (whether platonically or romantically!). even when youre away off doing something else, hes likely gushing about you to anyone who will, and sometimes even wont, listen. embodiment of the "shes my girlfriend ehehe" mickey mouse meme that i saw going around a few weeks ago; point is theres nothing you need to worry about! however he listens when you share your worries, and squashes them down with reassurances and affirmations

POMNI:

oooo okay so this one is interesting because pomni is actively looking for an exit out of the digital world. and i think that this is common knowledge to just about everyone around her, you included. so i think that this might very likely feed into your fear of her leaving you behind... because what are the chances you guys would reunite if she actually found an exit? i mean can you imagine? and thats even assuming you guys would remember your time in the digital world when you return; im kind of on the fence on whether or not the digital memories would still be there after an escape, since you forget everything when you enter the digital world... (also as a side note for fluff with that idea imagine meeting with whoever after escaping and not knowing youve met before but you guys still fall for one another. this isnt just for pomni but for any of the characters. love that idea, so much)

anyways, as ive said a few times before pomni is... not good at comforting... but she sure as hell were try.. though, even she doesnt seem so sure of herself when she says shes going to be looking for you when you both escape, like shes scared you guys will be separated forever

as sweet and caring as ever, if you confide in her about your fears shes going to make sure youre not left in your thoughts. the best at reassuring you, and perhaps even pulls up an activity for the two of you to do together so you have something to get your mind off of it. if you dont approach her, shes going to notice that something is wrong with you and ask you yourself if youre okay and if theres something on your mind... does her best to stamp out your thoughts of fear and doubt, shes not going anywhere and she doesnt intend on abstracting anytime soon (though, can she really help it, if she ever does?)

point is i think out of all of the characters shes going to be the best in terms of comfort and making you feel safe and secure; and if it makes you feel any better you guys come up with a system of sorts to pin down the other if you guys ever escape the digital world; so you can find one another.. very sweet stuff, i think

JAX:

while ragatha is the best in terms of giving comfort and security, jax is probably the worst. the guy does not particularly scream the most emotionally mature and available; if anything i think he might brush off your worries with soft jabs like "dont be dumb, im not gonna go anywhere" or something in that vein. as per usual i think it would take you showing real big signs of distress for him to drop the whole asshole thing and try to make you feel better and assure you that hes not going to go anywhere. and even then its still a little.... eh... i mean jax isnt the best at comforting people; its not really his... thing, you know? sure he wont turn his back on you or make you feel bad (on purpose) but his main way of assuring you is just pushing the statement that hes not going to leave you be ("besides, im not done messing with you yet,") and even offers to hang out with you for the day/until you feel better

KINGER:

similar deal with caine in the case of "youre probably going to be the one asking for space" simply because kinger is too paranoid that something is going to happen to you that hes always trailing you and keeping you in his line of sight... honestly, i think his fears might even mirror your own; youre scared that hes going to leave you behind, and hes scared that something is going to happen to you and you wont be around anymore. neither of you can bury the thought... and in a weird, and perhaps even an unhealthy way depending on how intense it is and how you personally view it, you guys find comfort in your shared fears. like a confirmation that the two of you are too afraid to let go... you poor things... in short, you dont need to worry about anything, kinger is not going to be going anywhere..! in terms of comfort, he lets you hug and hold him and mess with his robes fur while reassuring you. back pats n rubs are in order, me thinks

ZOOBLE:

while zooble might come off as mean and cold, i dont think theyre exactly an asshole. sure they can come off as such thanks to their tone and attitude, but they care about you and while they struggle with expressing that... theyre trying their best... so at least theres an effort to let you know that they at least enjoy your presence..! their... flat voice doesnt really do them any favors but thats just how they talk. very firm in telling you that theyre not going anywhere, and to the point about it. while the others may go on tangents about why they wont leave, zooble will be blunt in simply saying that they care about you and that youre cool and that theyre not planning on just up and ditching you. now THATS not cool, unless you did something to them that warranted such a reaction... but what are the odds of that + then they would be in their right to bounce yk?

that aside, theyre firm and blunt in terms of comforting you, and often times offer to let you take the reigns for the day to choose what you guys do, in an attempt to make you feel better with something you enjoy!

GANGLE:

oh ho ho i think she would also have abandonment issues.... i mean it comes with the shy artist thing, you know? outcast weird kid who actually is a neurodivergant individual energy, you know? ponders. so i think, similar to kingers piece you guys find mutual comfort in the fact youre both so scared of the other leaving (again, the energy around that is up to you) and in an odd way it brings you two even closer. though, i dont think that would be enough for either of you to actually overcome your fear of abandonment, because ultimately its both something you guys need to work on... but why do it alone? you guys probably share tips and build each other up, going through something with a friend/partner isnt as scary or intimidating as doing it alone... so thats nice, i think..! not many ideas for gangle, unfortunately but i think i will leave this open with the concept of both of you healing and all that :3

She doesnt see the value in it and thinks its unnecessary, and will only engage with it out of pity. It's no wonder all of these interactions go sour when she holds onto this mentality thinking that she'll make positive change by doing so, when all she's really accomplishing is further distancing herself from people she ultimately wants to be close with. I think a lot of brittas issues could be solved if she reframed this relationship with femininity, because she's self aware enough to know that she's pushing people away but not enough to know why or how.

TROY IS TAKING CONTROL AND PLAYING FOR HIMSELF!! Also im surprised that the reason he stopped originally was because of the pressure. That gives him something in common with annie I think. He gives good advice to Jeff about accepting where he's at, something I think Troy's really good at - he's never seemed jaded or upset about being at greendale, and he accepts that this was the best choice to make for himself. I think its for this reason he can actually get on with his life, and also why he leaves in season 5 - he knows what he needs and he has the power to make those choices for himself now.

I only had like 3 dreams of idols so its cool if someone else gets to have further dreams of them and often I wonder if it reflect the idols day to day emotions / situations or if they just trying to reach out to someone?

So i don't think ones dreams about idols affect them in any way except if you habe a significant connection to them, which i doubt. Like i think if for examples han's mom were to often have vivid dreams about him, it would really be connected to him in some way, but even then, not in the way where he feels it, but rather his moms dreams for example tell her how her son is doing etc. yk

And i also don't think doing tarot has a significant role in how often you dream of people/ idols and who you dream about. I do readings on idols every day for idk like a month already - and i haven't had a single dream with anyone during that time. In fact i haven't had dreams with them for a very long while.

Not surprised with his reading I've already mentioned that i've been seeing him the most in dreams in the past and that he seemed very aware and like ugh idk like real? Lucid? I think he has lots of overflowing creativity he just can't pour all out in one day, so it gets used up in his dreams at the end of the day to like - bring balance in his being. I think he has wild and crazy and very rich and interesting dreams. I would love to take a peak.🥰 And i think he actually can remember lots of them with lots of detail as well. If you were to ask him about it he would wipe out a journal and start reading them to you like a short-story. Oh yeah and i think he might journal his dreams from time to time. Maybe not everything, but what he deems as important whenever he remembers. I can't quite pick up if his dreams are more astral or subconscious but i definitely pick up on peace and release and fun and excitement. I would say it could be a mix of both. Like some dreams he has are subconscious and he releases lots of build up stress, emotions etc from them. Others are astral and he goes out (nit too far out tho) and just enjoys the funs an astral body and a world not bound by the laws of physics offers. I think he does fun stuff like learning how to fly. Going on a quest to find interesting animals (that don't exist on earth), visiting a neighbor galaxy/planet/universe whatever, talking with the local entities/spirits and whatever😂 and just overall having fun. Yk whats very fitting for him - i actually see him as a ghibli character having a whimsical adventure whenever he goes to sleep☺️love that for him. Just overall very lighthearted fun and pleasant energy. I think he loves sleeping😂 even if he can't remember when he wakes up, his brain does and his body does as well. Oh also i think he might be developing some skills in his dreams that he is using in the real world. Or like finding knowledge within his dreams that he can use in the real world to further improve his skills.

Also very nice energy! I think he dreams quite a lot about his crushes when he's having subconscious dreams. On the other side when his dreams are aware its not him but rather his higher self thats operating in that realm. I can't quite pick out what he does for sure but i think it has to do with some sort of socializing. For example going to other galaxies etc to visit friends from past lives or beyond life on earth or whatever. I think he also enjoys meeting new "people". Overall very cute, well balanced energy.

Seungmin - The Fool

He just rests😂 thats it. Thats the reading! If he dreams, its "meaningless" processing of the day and like anything thats not needed gets cleaned out and he's just getting a restart and rest for the new day.

I think his dreams are quite action packed. I think he's constantly on an adventure and is dreaming very much! Like dreaming every night, and every night being jam packed, yk those dreams where you sleep for 8h, but you've spent 2 months in your dream. I think he has those kind of dreams. Very realistic, very heartrace-inducing(?). I think he also remembers them pretty well, at least while he's freshly awakened. Idk about remembering them later on. i love girlfail monika (it’s canon) but she’s still the president of the club so does she take on a leadership role even outside of the in-school club activities? would mc as a character still serve as a catalyst in how the girls interact or do you see that just a product of game design?

oh god this is going to take a while for me to answer 😃

the dynamics i usually imagine for the girls in a non game au is the side stories dynamic tbh. i mean, the side stories are still technically a game but since no one is aware it doesn't dramatically change any of the character's personality or relationship with the others.

girlfailure monika still definitely at least tries to be the leader of the group. i do think her whole "im so put together" facade worked best at the start of the club though. the more the girls got to know eachother, the more they started seeing monika as a dumb teenager just like them and not as the perfect student that she was knows for at school. even then, monika still is very much that "a single mom who works two jobs who loves her kids and never stops" person in the friend group

now here is where we get to completely headcanon territory. mc doesnt show up in the side stories, so there is no real way of knowing how his appearance would shake things up. i do think him becoming a member would definitely change the dynamics of the club, after all everytime one of the girls joined the dynamic changed as well. its just what happens when new people show up in general.

the girls at this point however have gotten super close, so introducing a new person would be very awkward at first, much to sayori’s disappointment. i love sayori, but she definitely expected the girls and mc to become close friends immediately. natsuki feels weird about having a new person in her safe space (especially a guy at that). yuri is anxious about meeting him, but she has already learned that people don’t inherently hate her, and he is sayori’s friend, so maybe it’s not so bad. monika falls back into her president persona out of habit. mc can probably feel that his appearance shaked things up. i’m not saying the girls don’t like him, they are obviously friendly to him (well, maybe natsuki isn’t that friendly actually), but it’s clear they think of him as “sayori’s friend” and not a club member.

i do think that he would eventually get closer to the girls, it’s really just a matter of time. maybe sayori notices him feeling left out and talks to monika about it. monika takes it to heart, she is the president how could she not notice? she was so happy about getting closer to the girls she forgot to make room for new people. but it isn’t time to feel bad about herself, she has to make it up to mc. after monika realises how mc feels she would definitely try to include him more. the more he is included, the more close they all get as a group.

the only two i could see needing more time to warm up to mc is natsuki and yuri. natsuki is not really comfortable with him (with most new people in general actually) but they eventually bond over manga and anime. yuri, unlike natsuki, isn’t passively aggressive towards mc, so he initially doesn’t really try as hard to get to know her. she is pretty friendly to him after all. perhaps when he finally gets close to monika and natsuki he realises that yeah they are friendly but they aren’t really friends. so, he tries to get to know her. normally yuri would see this as him taking pity on her, but she has already learned that lesson from sayori. unlike natsuki who would probably have an entire arc for becoming open to mc, after some time of just hanging out i think they would eventually become friends.

anyway the question was if mc would change the dynamics between the girls, and my answer is yeah at first, but as he settles in they also settle in back to their old dynamics with the main difference being that now there is one more person to have a dynamic with.

as for the dynamic between each girl and mc :

monika and mc -> for some reason i think he’d be the closest to her out of all the other girls, outside of sayori ofc. they both consider sayori as their best friend, actually i think they would really bond over sayori lol. like, both of them would just be like “yeah she’s the best” and then shake their head as in saying “understandable”

sayori and mc -> best friends. they have so much history together the others sometimes feel as if they are intruding. they definitely have their problems to get through in their relationship, i’ve already gotten into it before so i won’t be repeating myself

yuri and mc -> they may not have much in common, but they are still friends. i can see them being those friends that don’t really talk to each other much but when they do once in a blue moon they’re like “huh… this was so nice we should do it more often”

natsuki and mc -> they have a very playful friendship. a lot of teasing from both sides. i don’t think they would really talk to each other about serious topics tbh. they mostly view each other as “fun friend to hang out with”

Dungeon Meshi characters and the music I think they'd listen to:

Laios - No real genre cohesion, but loves anything that he can imagine monsters to. He has extensive mental music videos of monsters doing cool things that he will set to songs which he plays on repeat. Probably has more movie and video game soundtracks than actual mainstream music.

Marcille - Florence and the Machine and Hozier are amongst her favorite artists, and she has a soft spot for ALL dramatic and romantic songs, especially with female vocalists. She guards her tastes very carefully, afraid of what others might think, but will gush to Falin about her interpretations of lyrics, and make her playlists all day long

Senshi - A jazz lover if I ever saw one. He doesnt really listen to it except in the background while cooking or working, but he likes it because it reminds him of the improvisational side of cooking, and how it keeps him moving while he works.

Falin - I think Falin likes a lot of pop but has a particular soft spot for vocaloid, j-pop, k-pop and chiptune. She's just deeply autistic about the artists she likes, doesnt particularly "stan" anyone because she doesnt approach it like that, but she does try to get Marcille into it all (with mixed success)

Kabru - The widest range listener, because he'll gladly listen to and learn about any of the artists people around him listen to. He specifically keeps up with top 40 entirely so he can have an idea whats in the zeitgeist. If you ask him to put on something and he doesnt know your tastes he'll default to a "safe option" like chillhop beats to study/relax to

Thistle - This one I'm not super sure but Linkin Park for sure is a regular listen for him. Will cry-sing along with it. Probably also delves into other teenage angst music ranging from pop punk to emo. Would write his favorite lyrics in sharpie on his ragged converse

Shuro - All classical. He was raised to have extremely refined tastes and can play several instruments himself, but he doesnt have much interest in music really.

Let just say, Katsuki's mother is my BIGGEST op

I mean like.. Endeavor too. Obviously the shit he did was WAYYY worse, but at least Shoto had a good role model too, his mom, and so Endeavor didn't completely get to him.

Besides, you're SUPPOSED to take the abuse seriously in Shoto's backstory, Katsuki's abuse gives me the sickening sinking feeling that its supposed to come off as a joke. Maybe it would for people who haven't lived through similar shit. But I just felt angry and a little sick through the whole thing.

First of all, she casually hits him. Its the first thing we see her do. Its HARD, not a light smack at all, and she doesnt even fucking blink. She does it with a smile, she does it while cheerfully talking about how much she wants him out of her house and into a dorm room.

He responds as anyone raised in a volatile household would, and yells back at her. "You hag! Hit me again and I'll kill you!" To which she hits him again, visually and AUDIBLY harder than the last time.

This time she throws in that he was so weak he got caught. Found out where his obsession with being the strongest came from. I actually clocked him for this a long time ago. When I started the show I assumed his father beat him for being "too weak" and "not enough of a man" and that his mother was an alcoholic. Turns out his mother is the physically abusive one that thinks he's too weak, and his father is a pathetic coward of a man, since he mostly just stands by. Obviously he's also being abused, but he's the adult in the situation, its disgusting that he just stands by and lets his child get hit.

What's important to me here though is that he stops fighting back, he leans away from her and puts his arms up defensively. We've literally never seen him actually take any real defensive stance at all any other time in the show. Not when he was being suffocated by the sludge monster in episode one, not a single time when he was fighting All Might, not when he was kidnapped and surrounded by villains. But when his mother hit him and yelled at him, he pulled back.

Then there's this shot, where Kasuki's mother has him by the cheeks and he's trying to get her hands off of him. The father stands by and addresses the teachers instead.

She hits him again, and then holds his head down while turning to tell the teachers that she would be grateful to have him out of the house and in a dorm instead. "People are always fawning over him whether he deserved it or not." Emphasis on the not.

Absolutely disgusting how she demonstrates why he ended up the way he did while blaming it on him getting undeserved praise from his peers. Listen, could this line be referring to how she developed a more physical approach to interacting with him AFTER he developed an explosive personality? I mean I guess its possible, I know of cases where that's happened, where the mother has to get on her unruly son's level. But that's usually because the child learned the behavior from outside influences, like running in bad circles at school, doing drugs, gang activity, ect. That's Not what we see happening here, being told your Quirk is pretty cool by your friends on the playground and being admired by your peers doesn't instill such hatred in a person. Abuse does. Especially since he was a good kid, he didnt just throw his weight around, he stood up for his friends against older kids, we see it in a flashback scene in season 2. He only became angry at Midoriya specifically when he tried to help him up out of the river, which got him so angry because of values INSTILLED IN HIM BY HIS ABUSIVE MOTHER. He internalized the idea that Midoriya thought he was pathetic and useless and weak because he must be if a Qurkless kid thought he needed help. That's not something a 6 year old just assumes, that's something that's already been beat into him by his mother.

This part hit me in the feels. He walks outside for just a few moments to ask All Might what Deku is to him, since he's observed a lot of the direct mentoring All Might's been giving him. For once he doesn't yell or threaten or anything, he's very uncharacteristically quiet. His mother yells at him from inside the house that the police told him not to go wandering off alone, and after a minute he turns to go back inside. "Yeah sure. If you don't want to tell me, that's fine. Oh and, thank you." Before getting yelled at again on his way inside. Thanks for coming to have him moved into a dorm, and out of that household.

I didn't really like Bakugo so much before this episode, at least in the beginning I thought he seriously needed to chill out and thought that he was just written like that for the sole purpose of having a loud and explosive bully for Midoriya to rise up against as the main character. I had looked at a few reddit posts that came up for the search "Why is Bakugo like that" and also asked my sister (who frankly turned out to have an awful memory, since her reasoning was that she was pretty sure his father had gone to get milk, so to speak) and nowhere did I find mention of him literally being abused, or even being in a toxic and dysfunctional household. The only deeper meaning for his character that I could find was that he felt pressured to live up to this image of himself that everyone else had, the aforementioned "Everyone thinks my Quirk is cool and that I'm destined to be a hero, so I HAVE to be the strongest and I HAVE to be the coolest, otherwise I'm absolutely nothing." But again, that's not really the full story since we see his mother reinforce the same message with a side of physical abuse. I mostly joked about the "I bet your father beats you and your mother's a drunk" shit before because I really didn't think they'd have actually written it in. Now I highkey feel bad.

So. The whole reason Jeremy got a SQUIP was to become “the ideal boy”, right? A Manly Man, A Cool Guy, The Hero, Testosterone, Muscles, Gigachad, Getting Bitches, Alpha Male, etc etc. The entirety of More Than Survive is him denying this desire while also VERY MUCH EXPRESSING THIS DESIRE (ur repression isn’t fooling anyone hun). Jake is the prime example of this goal actually fulfilled; he’s well-liked, charismatic, aggressive, go-getting, mew streak 1000000, abs of steel, MANLY. Jake’s everything Jeremy wants to be, everything he thinks he needs to be to ~get with Christine~ and ~have all the friends~ and all the other shit he sets as the squip’s directive instead of the real thing he needs (therapy. And actually maybe some more friends wouldn’t hurt). 

So it makes sense the squip is always trying to get him to resemble Jake, right? It molds Jeremy into that MYSTERIOUS MANLY MAN who WALKS WITH SWAGGER and SHOWS UP FASHIONABLY LATE and ONLY TALKS ABOUT HIS EMOTIONS WHEN ITS CONVENIENT and TREATS WOMEN LIKE DOGSHIT and CONNECTS WITH BLUETOOTH COMPATIBLE DEVICES. Y’know, guy stuff! But what’s fascinating to me is that when Jeremy is left to his own (Bluetooth incompatible) devices, he doesnt imitate the popular boys. He imitates the popular girls. 

When Jake is upset (such as when he thinks Jeremy is “having sex in his parents bed” which is SO CRAZY and he is SO CRAZY for saying that and I have FEELINGS ABOUT IT but one thing at a time), he gets violent. Yelling, threatening Jeremy, destroying shit—the whole shebang. But when Chloe is upset or defensive, she gets petty. She interrupts Jenna, belittles Christine, betrays Brooke, and insults Jeremy. Neither of these reactions are surprising, especially to an audience expected to be familiar with teen drama stories. As a boy, Jake would be socialized to express his anger through physical aggression. As a girl, Chloe would be socialized to express her anger through relational aggression. And as the Most Boy and Most Girl in the entire show, it tracks that they’d follow these expectations down to the letter. 

But Jeremy isn’t the Most Boy or Most Girl. He doesn’t know what the fuck he is, which is made abundantly clear by the, uh, everything about him. Everything including the fact that when Jeremy feels angry, he reacts much more like Chloe would than Jake. If Michael tried to block Jake from leaving the bathroom, Jake would probably have just shoved him out of the way, or at least threatened to (provided Jake couldn’t talk Michael down first, because Jake doesn't seem particularly prone to violence outside of—wow I should just make a seperate Jake post hes a freak I want to study him under a microscope). If Michael blocked Chloe from leaving the bathroom, she would insult him until he was demoralized enough to go with what she wanted without force. Which is exactly what Jeremy does to Michael, and later to Mr. Heere. In these moments, Jeremy is still trying to embody that “cool guy” image, but he doesn’t have the SQUIP’s gendered guidance. He’s going with his gut, and it’s becoming abundantly clear to the audience that this whole “manly man” thing isn’t what Jeremy really even wants (I mean, he turned down sex from a hot girl just a scene prior! He’s willingly failing at Mission Get Bitches!!! That’s like, mission one!!!!!!!). He just wants to… not feel shitty all the time. 

And what’s interesting to me though is that while the SQUIP is out of the picture for the bathroom scene, it’s on and active for Jeremy’s confrontation with his dad. When Mr. Heere stops Jeremy from leaving, the SQUIP originally tries to brush him off. However, it tells Jeremy to stop and engage with him a lil bit, actually. Tell him what’s going on, Jeremy, be honest. And that’s where we get that second example of Jeremy more closely imitating The Mean Girl than The Cool Guy. So, like, that’s confusing, right? The SQUIP has been directing him to avoid any perceived femininity (literally one of their first interactions is it questioning/berating him for picking a “girls shirt”) so why would it lean so hard into this more feminine version of aggression when it could just tell Jeremy to, idk, punch Mr. Heere in the face ig? Well, on one hand I think it realizes that actual violence would probably make this conflict more trouble than it’s worth but on the other I think it’s a rly intentional power play on the SQUIP’s part. It’s directions are intentionally vague: “stop”, “tell him the truth”, “smth else vague” idk I don’t remember the scene exactly I’m too lazy to pull up the slime tutorial. The point is that we have seen the SQUIP feeding Jeremy lines like a teleprompter the entire show, literally saying “repeat after me” in its first big Social Interaction Test in bmc p1. I think it’s prompts being so open-ended is a way for it to sweeten the pot for Jerry a lil bit, considering everything that’s about to happen in “The Play” is gonna be so fucking crazy. I don’t think the SQUIP expected Jeremy to turn on it, but it knew it was asking a lot of Jeremy and he was hesitant. Being vague gave Jeremy just the right amount of control that he could say every single thing that he’s wanted to say to his father since the very first scene while still letting the SQUIP take all the credit. It’s oh-so-generously allowing Jeremy to take the reins to show that “see! Before me you could hardly hold a conversation with ur dad and now ur telling him to fuck off TO HIS FACE!! See how not shitty I make you feel?? See how powerful I make you feel?” It’s willing to break with Jeremy’s Cool Guy objective to further its own obsession with spreading the SQUIPs as far as possible, displaying how separate its goals are from Jeremy’s at this point. Jeremy doesn’t want this, anymore. 

And then “The Play” happens and everything’s shit til it actually gets pretty not shit and then actually actually gets pretty awesome until at the end Jeremy is wearing Hello Kitty shoes and telling his dad he loves him and having friends (!!!!!) doing all the GIRLY BETA CUCK stuff he rejected b4 n maybe some of the MANLY GUY STUFF too bc what the fuck does it actually matter, real talk? Like, who even cares? And maybe, just maybe, feeling not only not shitty but Genuinely Actually Okay for the first time ever. Yay!

What, is he supposed to apologize because his little joke made someone upset? That's his thought process, I think. Like unless there are huge consequences or he is actively trying to better himself I really don't think he would give a sincere apology, you know?

Like imma be so real here, I know I usually portray jax as a prankster but so far he's worse than that. He has pushed gangle at least twice (in the pilot, and in her tailer), he stepped on her mask and knowing him I wouldnt be surprised if it was on purpose. He just. Ripped zoobles arm off (like yeah sure it doesnt look like it hurts and it can be reattached, but its the idea that he just disrespects them like that), throwing a bowling ball at kinger, ect ect ect

I think a lot of this is caused by the digital world; given that hes probably gotten way too comfortable with the fact you cant get severely injured in the digital world or hahe any long lasting physical damage, you know?

I think it's less likely to happen if this is a romantic relationship because I think at that point in time you guys respect each other enough to not be goofy and communicate stuff. As well as this, this prompts jax to try to tone it down.. can also see this happening if you guys are close friends

So really this can only happen if you guys are only like. Normal level friends, because otherwise jax at least learns remorse and tries to be less. Uehdjcf.. you know?

Like I love jax as a character and I enjoy writing him but I'm realizing just how assholish he is based on the pilot

Honestly to be friends with jax you're going to have to be able to have some kind of tolerance to his more tame everyday stuff... imma be nice and assuming the stuff he does above isnt in his usual league of asshole-ness... or maybe it is? I dunno

But some prank he pulls goes too far, and he laughs at you. Probably takes to down play it if you're actually upset, trying to dismiss it as a good ol fashion joke

If he gives an apology it's a half assed one

In fact, you may even go as far as to avoiding him during IHAs

At first he thinks you're just being sour over his little practical joke

Boredom does terrible things to someone and given that the consequences of losing your mind in this place are huge.. I can't help but understand jax a little, assuming my headcannon is correct

look guys there's something weird as HELL going on with aziraphale. all three minisodes we saw gave us an insight on how his brain works and his beliefs and everything and how it leads to him making the choices he's made. right.

crowley said something weird has been going on before the attack and we know he has a sixth sense for these things but WHAT IS IT.

i think i REALLY REALLY THINK there's going to be flashbacks to season 2 scenes in s3 and we'll get context and ohhh moments. like.

1. at the mystic shop crowley puts his cap on a snake. maybe just a sneaky nod to how he was wearing a cap but maybe something more?

2. i think the way metatron says "how predictable" and when he says "are you going to take it" so deliberately. they're huge huge clues i think. i feel like the metabitch knows something i dont which pisses me off.

3. i dont understand why the job scene was shot a little different to other ones and also why crowley and aziraphale sounded so different from the scene chronologically before and after that we see in s1. except maybe the seaside bit the whole thing was. definitely odd. and its also mentioned again and again and again. biggest question i have and also one of the biggest foreshadowing in the show is the job quote from the matchbox. what is that WHY IS THAT.

will we realise parts of the job scene were fake or left out and see in s3 how the line was relevant.

4. WHAT does metatron want from aziraphale sooo badly that he went to the trouble of going through his entire earth file and carefully construct manipulation plans a through to z to convince aziraphale to come up.

unless he was unnerved that they together blocked gabriel from him and left him in the dark while actively trying not to do something powerful and he wants armageddon 2 so he can destroy earth because he's the bad guy. and he cant even feasibly start on that as long as aziraphale and crowley are together/friends/as long as, metaphorically, the bookshop is theirs.

(the bookshop wasn't 'theirs' by the time crowley left i think. they'd sort of mentally given up on that which is why at the end muriel could enter without permission i think. if the south downs thing ends up being canon then maybe the bookshop will be destroyed for real because otherwise at the end they would end up at the bookshop)

5. look one of the most terrible thing in the whole ep6 was aziraphale not paying any attention to crowley in the beginning of the confession. he's really really flustered and there's a heartwrenching theme of him staring out of the window. he's absolutely terrified of the metatron seeing them and half his mind is on him.

aaaaaghhhh losing my fucking mind. you could almost hear the quote about the straightforward love life when crowley looks at nina and maggie. that feels like a conclusion kind of? like a really happy ending just like beelzebub and gabriel had. they're both good and loved. which is why i dont feel like we'll be seeing them majorly again... maybe we will i hope we will but idk. there's.

season 2 was soft gentle romantic definitely but it was also a sherlock holmes level of mystery. except we're at the start of the story when holmes doesn't get all the facts to solve the mystery.

also random not plot related questions.

why does the sandwich woman blink so much in the seamstress scene and why does aziraphale blink so little during the last lift scene. these probably dont mean anything other than the womans mascara got in her eye or something

how does the bentley play classical music which doesnt change for aziraphale but doesn't do that for crowley? is it love i hope its love

why does aziraphale's face do something odd when he leaves crowley to talk to nina ep5? or am i reading too much into it? he was very forthcoming with the rest but with nina he was sort of quiet (?) and reserved and went away looking uncomfortable.

why did aziraphale want so badly to drive crowleys car? was it meaningful or connecting to him? i know a lot of people say the dont hesitate to ask me any questions about love scene was aziraphale giving crowley horny eyes but i thought he seemed itching and really eager to get the keys? why does he want them sooo desperately. i don't fully understand their relationship which makes me WANT TO. what happens to a person when they spend six thousand years with their only friend and companion being a hereditary enemy, watching every single thing they do?

also why was he willing to give away a book and bribe out a book for the meeting? seems overboard for someone who doesn't really seem to think about heaven checking on nina and maggie. i think tbh it had less to do with heaven's suspicions than aziraphale being the kind of person who would love an excuse to host a night of dancing and food and love (mood) and he even got to participate by dancing with the demon he loves instead of just watching! (though i suspect he really likes that as well). hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
