Because these two men were too busy fighting each other last time to notice that Joe got hurt several times yet neither cared since they were so blinded by their hatred of each other.

I posting this as a WARNING to all my followers that I won't post anything tomorrow until I have watched Joel's POV of the Secret Life finale. After which I will come here to incomprehensibly scream like a rabid creature either in an uncontainable joy I've never felt in my life way over his victory or in an agonising pain that makes me read angsty fics at 3 am just to feel something way over his death.

All of this is to say that I WILL NOT BE NORMAL TOMORROW

A cacophony of hollow, rattling wails bombard his ears and practically smother his brain with the sheer volume alone.

He can never make out what they're saying. They're always calling out to him, but they always drown each other out.

They are always angry. He knows why.

Sometimes he sees them too.

Hundreds of faces that at one horrific and recent point in his life he would have considered reflections. Anguished souls devoid of skin and flesh surround him, and Joe's only comfort is the knowledge that he did not end up like them.

It's been a truly weird day guys

#first: i saw busy phillips for the *second* time in less than 12 hrs while walking to a park in the west village after brunch #(first time was in line at the theater for 'oh mary!' which wasnt too shocking its a hot ticket right now. but the second?? bizarre)#then i learned joe biden was dropping out while riding his beloved amtrak on the northeast regional #then our train got stuck roughly 300 ft outside of Union station for OVER AN HOUR with no explanation #and then i had to immediately jump on the computer to write rapid response copy in response to the biden announcement #i just want to go to bed please let me sleep world PLEASE
